Vzdělávání učitelů hudební výchovy 1. stupně základní školy v kontextu školské reformy / Music Education of Primary School Teachers in the context of school reforms

The dissertation introduces the knowledge of the child's ontogenetic development in the early school age and at the beginning of pubescence in connection with a musical development. It also deals with the emotional importance of music in the child's personal development. The following part is devoted to music education at primary schools, their aims, historical context and the current position of music education in the Czech curriculum together with foreign influences. The third chapter focuses on the ongoing structure of music education given in the study programmes for the teaching qualification at the national pedagogical faculties in the Czech Republic. The research part scrutinizes the contemporary situation of music education at primary schools from teachers' point of view and with regards to their undergraduate training. The research concentrates on the experience of teachers who have undergone undergraduate training in the last decade. The aim is also to find out how the situation is perceived by university music lecturers who train future teachers. The questionnaire survey and interviews reveal problems in music education at the elementary schools and also in undergraduate training at pedagogical faculties.

The theoretical part of this work is based on current findings on social work and school social work. The aim is to discuss a possibility to establish school social work in Czech environment and also to highlight any possible obstacles. The first goal in practical part of this thesis aims to identify issues that schools are facing today and whether school social work could help to solve them. The second goal is to examine how members of pedagogical staff perceive the possibility of school social worker. The last goal is to identify the agenda of school social worker in Czech primary and secondary schools. The objective of the dissertation thesis are to conduct the first research survey in continuity of pre-primary and primary education from the perspective of management in integrated kindergartens and primary schools in the Czech Republic. It studies school heads' opinions on continuity of pre-primary and primary education in the context of curricular reform an well as how they put this continuity in practice of their schools. The topic of dissertation thesis is defined by school management and curricular reform. The theoretical part focuses on the triad of the following concepts: management, continuity and curricular reform. The concepts are linked to the environment of integrated pre-primary and primary schools. At the same time, the head teacher's role in the specific conditions of this type of school is reflected. The theoretical framework builds on theories from management and pedagogy. The dissertation explores teacher professional development as a strategy for improving school performance. The theoretical part defines school quality, teacher quality, and instruction quality. It further talks about teacher professional development, specifically strategies that involve teacher's reflective practices and teacher collaboration. The practical part of the dissertation examines the characteristics and impact of a five year support model of school based teacher professional development. The process was closely observed through case studies of four subjects in a particular school. The findings reveal that the implemented model contributed to the changes in the principal's leadership style, school culture and climate the most. This Master's thesis focuses on the cooperation between school and the Authority for Social and Legal Protection of Children (OSPOD) with the emphasis on neglecting school attendance in primary school. Cooperation of OSPOD with other authorities is a significant part of OSPOD employee's job description. At school, especially primary school, the undesirable effects of dysfunctional family environment or other socially pathological effects can be manifested on a child. Teachers also play a very important role because they can bring attention to potentially undesirable display of children's behaviour, such as neglecting school attendance. The quality of the cooperation between school teachers when dealing with the neglect of school attendance may have a significantly positive effect on a child's life. The thesis is divided into theoretical and empirical parts. The first part consists of the theoretical conceptualization of the problem. In the empirical part, qualitative data were collected through a case study which was focused on the cooperation between OSPOD and a selected primary school. The diploma work is focused on the development of prosocial behaviour in a kindergarten by means of reader's preliteracy. The theoretical part clarifies the terms related to the issues of the development of prosocial behaviour in a kindergarten, reader's literacy and preliterasy. It as well briefly describes the differences between heterogeneous and homogenous structure of the classroom in a kindergarten arranged according to the age and deals with the kindergarten as well as the classroom climate. The aim of the practical part was to describe in what matter the particular kindergarten develops pro-social behaviour of children with the support of reader's preliteracy. During the whole school year there were particular activities established and consequently implemented into an age-heterogeneous classroom located in a one-classroom kindergarten and upon consequent reflexion and feedback the activities were further provided with a possibility to work further with a given activity. To gain the reflexion and feedback the methods of interviews, monitoring and self-reflexion were used. The subject of this thesis is the use of recorders in the hands of teachers in the implementation of the entire spectrum of musical activities in kindergarten. The theoretical part outlines the history of the recorder and its types. This part contains the musical development of a child aged 3 to 6 and its musical skills and abilities in this area, according to the Framework Education Program for Preschool Education and the curriculum formerly used. It also includes information on how current secondary pedagogical schools and higher vocational school of pedagogical are engaged in the education of future kindergarten teachers as for playing the recorder. The practical part describes action research in order to create a clear description of several musical units verified in practice. The first phase of the research covers the preparation and implementation of activities already published Mgr. Milena Kmentová, Ph.D. and MgA. Eva Nevoralová with final revision. Further, I will deal with developing and testing my own lessons in practice again with final reflection.

Social class climate in the first grade of the primary school is the topic of my diploma thesis. My work is oriented on the creating and affecting the class climate by a beginner teacher. The theoretical part of my thesis is describing the key concept of class societal climate. Later on, I am describing methods that teachers can use to affect the class societal climate. I have chosen methods of personal and societal education and describing them in detail within the theoretical part. Those methods are described in connection with Framework Education Program of Elementary Education and didactic point of view. In addition, there is a part describing pupils' maturity and their readiness before and after entering school. To be fully oriented in this area, I recognized as a very important thing to also include methods used for collecting information about the status of the class climate. The empirical part of my work incorporates teachers research based on McNiff cyclus. Activities related to Personal and Social Education I divided into separate chapters based on different objectives.
