Topic of work is an impact of digital self-tracking technologies such as wearable fitness trackers and smartphone self-tracking applications on individual. With using the methodology of semi- structured interviews, conducted with students who are engaged in self-tracking and comparative discourse analysis, when data received from interviews were compared with healthy lifestyle discourse, manifested in Czech internet media portals, research question of "How self-trackers perceive the impact of the technology of self-tracking on their physical activities and lifestyle, respectively differentiated among themselves in terms of impact and usage of self-tracking technology, and to what extent they perceive it similarly to the way self- tracking is presented in Czech internet media portals?" was answered in a following way: respondents were categorized as 'engaged' and 'sportsmen' users, and their relation to discourse was not complete, although they were using a proposed by media conceptualization of healthy lifestyle. In addition, paper proposes a theoretical overview over a problem of self- tracking and discusses the possibilities for future research.

Introduction to the issue: Colorectal cancer is Europe's second most common malignant disease. Among the influential risk factors of colorectal cancer are the intake of high energy foods, animal fats, lack of fiber, excessive alcohol consumption, nicotinism, lack of physical activity, and obesity. Research methodology: Empirical research was carried out using qualitative research. The purposefully selected research sample consisted of fifteen informants after colorectal cancer surgery. Data collection took place through semi-structured interviews. The data were processed by the method of thematic analysis. The aim of the diploma thesis: The aim of the diploma thesis was to reveal the life habits of informants after colorectal cancer surgery, discover how the diagnosis of colorectal cancer has changed the way they look at their lifestyle, finding motivation and overcome the barriers to a lifestyle change. The outcomes: Despite the illness and knowledge of risk factors, the informants were rather satisfied with their current lifestyle and did not plan to change it. A healthy lifestyle was considered financially unaffordable. Title: Barriers of hypokinetic adolecents to active lifestyle The dissertation addresses the issue of physical activity among adolescents studying at secondary vocational schools. It focuses on those students who do not meet the minimum recommended number of steps per day, i.e. inactive students. The aim of the study was to clarify the reasons which prevent them from adopting a more active lifestyle. To better understand student responses, we also examined the relationship to school physical education as a school subject that has the potential to positively influence the physical activity habits of youth. Research was carried out on a group of students 15-16 years old at secondary vocational schools (two in Prague, one in the Moravian-Silesian Region). A total of 315 students were studied. A standardized questionnaire was used to obtain information about student opinions on physical education. Sigma Activo fitness bracelets were used to monitor amount of physical activity, and a semi-structured interview was used to determine specific barriers to physical activity. The following thesis focuses on the long-term consequences of Partition of India on a micro-level. The thesis examines the life-history of a family that has been spatially divided owing to the decision of some family members who decided to migrate from India to Pakistan. Current, and past familial relations as well as the relationship of the spatially displaced family, specifically focusing on the relationship of the Indo-Pakistani family parts have been analysed. The life history is understood as a possible way how to explain Partition. Partition is presented in its broader historical-geographical context, specifically, the decolonization of the Indian subcontinent. The thesis incorporates selected approaches that establish a multi-dimensional framework and its interactions. The critical geopolitical approach explains the political standpoints of former political leaders as well as preconditions of Partition. The New histories approach gives way to personal spoken historical testimonies of family members in both countries, that apply nationalised representations of Partition and family ties. The diploma thesis deals with the transfer of information from the professional to the general public through the web media obesity-news.cz and it summarizes the issues of health and lifestyle, which is currently discussed more and more in the mass media. The work is divided into two parts, the main goal is to mediate the articles from experts and professionals in the Internet space in order to increase website traffic, increase views, involve more authors in content creation and connect the site with the social network Facebook. The second part finds out through questionnaires, where the public most often looks for information about a healthy lifestyle and has become a basis for mediating the transmission of information. The questionnaire survey was attended by 25 respondents who were randomly selected in a nutritional counseling center in Prague and during a reconditioning stay for obese patients in Serbs under the auspices of VŠTJ Medicina Praha. All collected data were then statistically evaluated in the form of graphs and charts. My diploma thesis consists of a theoretical part, which deals with fine motor skills, capabilities and motor learning. I am dedicating myself to divide motor capabilities and skills into separate parts and their progress, particularly the progress of an individual. It also deals with the influence and significance of physical activities to an individual's health and I am also defining the physical activities at a primary school. The following part of my diploma thesis contains a short text about testing motor skills at a primary school. Another part of my diploma thesis is a research, in which the level of movement skills of specific students of the primary school is tested by a test battery UNIFITTEST (6-60), and their lifestyles are questioned in questionnaires. I ask investigative questions and hypotheses. This part also contains tables with acquired results, data processing in graphs and results of questionnaires of chosen participants. I compare the results with statistical tables for boys and girls of the age. The last part of the diploma thesis contains a practical part which explains and answers questions from the research and it also validates or disproves said supposals. The topic of this master thesis is focused on occupational workload and life satisfaction of medical staff members, specifically general nurses. Profession of nurse is very physically and mentally demanding and the workload can lead to disturbance of nurse's health and well-being, thus also life satisfaction, which is a cognitive part of well-being. The aim of the theoretical part of the thesis is to be knowledgeable in thematic literature and summarize gained information into meaningful content. The first chapter is dedicated to the profession of nurse, its content, what education must be completed and what personality assumption should be met. The following chapters are focused on the occupational workload and stress of nurses, connected problems and coping options and also life satisfaction with related concepts is discussed. Aim of the empirical part is to analyse how selected Czech general nurses from inpatient wards scored in the Questionnaire of Life Satisfaction and the Meister's Questionnaire of Workload Rating, explore dependence of the outcomes on selected factors and causality between the outcomes. PhDr. Martin Raudenský, Ph.D. ABSTRACT The thesis deals with "food" as a theme in art and education. Food and prepared dishes are displayed in a variety of ways throughout human history. The method of imaging includes both artistic and documentary elements. In this work the development of visual depiction of food and meals with a focus on photography is mapped. The findings from the literary part of the thesis were subsequently used in the creation of the author's book and in the realisation of the didactic project. The author's book is a method of blending the tradition of art culture with the means of contemporary visual communication. It consists of a set of photographs and is not only a visual record of the menu, but also illustrates the process of preparing selected dishes from raw materials, through self-preparation, to mapping the kinds and the amount of waste generated by food preparation. In the didactic part, the topic of the thesis is used to understand the importance of nutrition in human life by verifying the didactic project through the educational process.
