This thesis focuses on the topic of program management, its functioning and the emergence in the context of project management. The goal is to process standards and methodologies for working with programs to reveal their differences and the reasons that lead to their formation. Particular attention is given to compare the life cycles of the program two major commercial standards and subsequently with the approach of government. The differences in the functioning government and the private sector are one of the main axes of the whole work, and every part of this work pays attention to them. The work seeks to illuminate the principles of the program management and on selected examples demonstrate the functioning of different approaches. In the final section, on the basis of these differences defines the strengths and weaknesses of different approaches and tries to suggest the possibility of taking advantage by sharing of approach to strengthening of the opposite one.

The thesis deals with selected global problems and their inclusion in civic education with a focus on the topic of fast fashion. The theoretical part presents the phenomenon of fast fashion and its negative impacts on the environment and human health, approaches issues in the world of work and violations of human rights and freedoms. These global issues are considered in the context of educational areas, cross-cutting themes and also as part of the global education. The second part of the work is a concept of a didactic project of lessons with the theme of fast fashion inspired by the educational program of the ARPOK organization. The aim of the work is to increase awareness of the issues arising from fast fashion and the realization that the individual can influence the world by their actions and vice versa, how the current world affects the life of the individual. The presented thesis deals with precieved quality of life among university students, specifically with satisfaction and factors that influence it in subjective evaluation. The aim of the diploma thesis is to find out how the students of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice evaluate their quality of life. The research was carried out using the SEIQoL method and a semi-structured interview was chosen as an additional method. The criteria for choosing the respondents was intentional, in this case students of bachelor study of the Faculty of Education, specialization Health Education. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part of the thesis deals mainly with the quality of life, happiness and well-being. The thesis briefly describes the lifestyle and young adulthood period and its characteristics. The practically oriented part is devoted to the research. The resulting data point to the fact that students evaluate their lives positively. The average quality of life index of these students is 72.8 % and the overall satisfaction rating is 72.6 %. Energy by-products are very interesting source of raw materials for the production of various kinds of building materials in the Czech Republic. Due to annual production of volumes and also markedly more stable quality is needed more to enforce their utilization. Work provides a unique comprehensive perspective on energy by-products in the Czech Republic. The work assesses really wide spectrum not only domestic energy by-products both from the physico-mechanical or physico-chemical parameters so from point of view of the variability of their properties, structure evaluation or environmental performance. Another important benefit is extensive and complex evaluation of the suitability of an almost complete ash production of company ČEZ for both basic types of artificial aggregates based on fly ash. The work represents a practical view of the producer of energy by-products on the comprehensive problems of power plant operation, material flows and mainly on usability of energy by-products in building materials. Illustratively are presented studies of economic and ecological advantages of substitution conventional raw materials by secondary energy products. The work deals with the issue of optimizing legislative regulations of the Czech Republic, implementation of the regulation European Parliament, for maximum simplification and streamline the process of certification of products based on energy by-products.

This master‘s thesis concerns with occurrence of heavy metals in the environment, mainly in the matrices of bioindicators. Special attention is given to occurrence of mercury in the environment and its quantification in bioindicators. Mercury and its compounds are today considered as one of the most significant contaminants in the environment. Some sorts of mushrooms cumulate sizable amounts of mercury in their fruiting body and therefore we can use them to consider loading of different areas. Eight areas in Vizovice and its surroundings were chosen for these purposes and during the years 2006 – 2008 harvested 50 samples from 19 sorts of mushrooms from there. The concentrations of Hg were determined in all samples by single-purpose absorption spectrometer AMA 254. Comparison of the mercury content between individual sorts of mushrooms in the same area as well as comparison of loading of areas was performed and also bioaccumulation ability of individual sorts of mushrooms was determined.

In recent years consumption of drugs and thus the quantity of their residues in natural ecosystems is increasing. It is necessary to deal with their possible negative effects on the environment. This thesis is focused on the ecotoxicological evaluation of pharmaceuticals. Diclofenac and ibuprofen from the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory substances, penicillin G and ampicillin from the group of antibiotics were tested. Mainly tests on aquatic organisms were used to evaluate of ecotoxicity, because the tested pharmaceuticals are predominantly occurred in the aquatic environment. Daphnia magna, Thamnocephalus platyurus, Artemia salina, Sinapis alba, Lemna minor, and Brachionus calyciflorus were used as testing organisms. Values of LC50, EC50 and IC50 were determinated and the ecotoxicity of pharmaceuticals was compared.

Today is the food quality a discussed topic not only in the Czech Republic. In this work we focused on micronutrients and heavy metals in strawberries. Strawberries are very attractive fruit consumed by all age groups from children to seniors. These bring not only gustatory pleasure but also positive effects on human organism. Soft fruit structure could contribute to the accumulation of heavy metals, which can be dangerous in certain quantities in terms of acute toxicity or what is more likely in terms of chronic exposure. In the spring - autumn of 2011 samples from the home cultivation of strawberries in the Czech Republic were collected and also samples of fruits that are commonly available in supermarket chains in this period were purchased. The element analysis was performed by the mass spectrometry with inductively coupled plasma, which belongs to a very sensitive method of elements determination.

The theoretical part of this master’s thesis focuses on the characteristic of Palladium, his uses in the automotive convertors, the occurrence in the environment, bioaccumulation and human health risks. Next there are described the basics of biomonitoring and summarize suitable biomonitoring method for capturing airborne dust. There are also evaluated appropriate methods for preconcentration and determination of Palladium. The aim of experimental part of this thesis is description and evaluation optimalization preconcentration method SPE by using sorbents silicagel C18 and QuadraSil TA. Optimization of method conditions of electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry (ET – AAS). The determination of Palladium using optimal conditions follows in real samples in the form of exposure lichen (Hypogymnia physodes) by automobile traffic in Brno.

This thesis' objective is to analyse local environmental impact of NPP. For impact determination, it is necessary to monitor the locality for a long period. For biomonitoring method, gamma-spectrometers might be used. It should be calibrated before the measurement. Within the thesis investigation, spectrometer of the faculty was calibrated in the laboratory of ionizing radiation and three samples of Czech nuclear facilities outlet were analysed.
