Elevers läsvanor : En undersökning om skolbibliotekens betydelse för grundskoleelevers läsvanorGiertz, Madeleine January 2006 (has links)
<p>Syftet med arbetet är att undersöka läsvanor hos elever i år 3-5 och vad som påverkar dessa samt om närheten till ett skolbibliotek gör att de läser mer. Särskild vikt har lagts vid skolbibliotekens roll, Undersökningen har skett genom en enkätundersökning där eleverna har fått redogöra för sina läsvanor. Tre klasser i skolår 3, 4 och 5 fick 15 olika frågor omkring deras läsvanor. Eleverna fick veta att de skulle läsa och svara på frågor omkring deras läsvanor med hjälp av att använda datorn. Två skolbibliotekarier har intervjuats för att komplettera bilden. Undersökningen visar att förekomsten av skolbibliotek har betydelse, men att också andra faktorer spelar in.</p>

Det är viktigt med svenska som andraspråk! : En fallstudie om ordkunskap och undervisning i svenska som andraspråkKristoffersson, Ida, Olsson, Jenny January 2006 (has links)
<p>Uppsatsens syfte är att undersöka om undervisning i svenska som andraspråk har effekt på elevers ordförråd, och för det ändamålet genomförde 44 elever ett ordkunskapstest. Informanterna kommer från en skola i en medelstor stad i södra Sverige. De har vistats olika länge i Sverige (3–14 år). Testet bestod av åtta övningar som eleven arbetade med individuellt under 45–60 minuter, och det utfördes vid två tillfällen: på vårterminen och höstterminen. Informanterna delades in i tre följande grupper:</p><p>I. Förstaspråkselever med svenska som modersmål.</p><p>II. Andraspråkselever som läser svenska.</p><p>III. Andraspråkselever som läser svenska som andraspråk.</p><p>Resultatet visar att förstaspråkselever med svenska som modersmål presterar bäst, andraspråkselever som läser svenska näst bäst och andraspråkselever som läser svenska som andraspråk presterar sämst.</p><p>Hypotesen var att andraspråkselever som läser svenska som andraspråk skulle prestera bättre än de andraspråkselever som läser svenska eftersom undervisningen är anpassad efter deras behov. Denna hypotes falsifierades. Några felkällor i studien kan vara testets utformning och elevgruppens sammansättning.</p><p>Undervisning i svenska som andraspråk, som garanteras i lagar och förordningar, och genom ämnets existens i skolan utgör trots resultatet av denna studie ett viktigt inslag i den svenska skolan och bidrar till att elever med svenska som andraspråk kan få goda förutsättningar att klara av sina studier.</p>

The purpose of this study is to see how adolescent students in high school formulate their thoughts of death and if a belief in transcendent existence affects their thoughts. The study was done on two separate schools, one municipal school and one private religious school, in minor cities in Sweden. The method used was qualitative inquiries and the amount of participants was four from each school, eight in total. The result of the study showed that six out of eight participants had a belief of a transcendent existence, three from the municipal school and three from the religious private school. The result also showed that the participants from the municipal school that had a belief in an transcendent existence also had a belief in a form of “afterlife”, this was however not reflected on the students in the religious private school where result showed that one out of four had a belief in a form of “afterlife” and three view death as the final stage of existence.

Vietnam: Moderata Ungdomsförbundet och vietnamnkriget 1665-1973Gravagna, Massimiliano January 2015 (has links)
The purpose of this study is to examine how the Swedish Young Conservatives related to Vietnam issue between 1965 and 1973 by studying the organization's own newspaper with the method qualitative text analysis as described in Esaiasson et al. (2007). In the absence of previous research which has studied the same topic we have chosen to relate the results of this study to previous studies, that have dealt with Svenska Dagbladet´s attitude to the Vietnam war, as it is the most well known conservative Swedish newspaper and can thus be considered representative of the conservative press in Sweden. In order to achieve the aim, we studied the association's view on the Vietnam conflict, on American policy and on the Swedish Government's policy as well as on Vietnam issue as discussed in Swedish public opinion.The results shows that Swedish Young Conservatives retains a positive image of the United States for almost the entire investigation period, when the United States is seen as the good party in the conflict and as a symbol for democracy and freedom. A new and more negative image of the United States is emerging in 1972. The conflict is seen as the United States fight against communism until 1972, when a reassessment of the conflict takes place and the United States presence in Vietnam is beginning to be questioned. The result also shows that the Swedish Young Consevatives remains critical of the Government's policy of Vietnam during the entire investigation period, in line with the moderate party. Background: In studies about Romani people’s health, it becomes clear that the Romani inseveral countries have a poor health and avoid seeking health care.Objective: The purpose of this study was to explore Romani men's experiences of treatmentin the Swedish health care.Method: A qualitative interview study was conducted with respondents about theirexperiences in individual interviews. Seven male Romanis were elected with a purposefulsample. A content analysis by systematic text condensation on the data obtained was made asdescribed by Granheim & Lundman (2004).Results: The summed up impressions of the responses was perceived to be good, however,many men believe that the information is inadequate. Staff at the emergency department inUppsala should listen more to patients. Less than half of men have felt discriminated againstwhen they sought treatment. More than half of respondents had experienced difficulties inhospitals when there may be a large number of visitors. Lack of understanding of the Romaniculture by health care professionals was experienced by almost all informants. A wish foropen-minded and respectful treatment was among the participants in the study.Conclusions: Culture and traditions have been shown to have a significant impact on theRomani men. It is essential that health professionals hold knowledge about the Romaniculture in order to satisfy the best response from this population.

”Hen”delserik påverkan : Påverkanskraft på deltagare, språklig kvalité och attityd till författarenMovérare, Lina, Gunstad, Ida January 2015 (has links)
Hen beskrivs som ett könsneutralt pronomen som används när könstillhörigheten är okänd, oväsentlig eller ska otydliggöras samt där människan inte vill kategoriseras i grupperna “man” eller “kvinna”. Syftet med studien är att undersöka vilken inverkan det könsneutrala pronomenet hen har på människor. Tre frågeställningar användes ”påverkas attityden till författaren när pronomenet hen används i text?”, ”hur upplevs den språkliga kvalitén när författaren väljer att använda pronomenet hen?”, ”är en text med hen mer påverkande än en text utan hen?”. Experiment utformades där fyra fiktiva insändare utdelades med medföljande egenkonstruerad enkät. Två vinjetter med “hen” och två med ”han”, där författarens kön varierade. Deltagare var 133 personer varav 69 kvinnor, i åldrarna 18-73. Genom variansanalys visades att attityden till författaren var mindre positiv och den språkliga kvalitén uppfattades som lägre då hen förekom i texten. Hen rekommenderas att nyttjas med försiktighet då pronomenet ger en negativ inställning till texten samt författaren.

Analysis of Swedish consumers’ attitude to Chinese foodChen, Jie January 2010 (has links)
The aim of this research is to find out what’s attitude Swedish consumers have to Chinese food. The questionnaires based on the Food Choice Questionnaire (FCQ) are handed out to 100 Swedish respondents in order to investigate their motivation on Chinese food choice. 78 questionnaires which were filled completely were selected for this study. Eleven factors involved in the questionnaire are labeled health, mood, convenience, sensory appeal, natural content, price, weight control, familiarity, image of China, culture and safety. The information from two semi-structured interviews with Chinese food suppliers showed Swedish consumers’ attitude to Chinese food in another angles. The ABC model and Balance Theory are seen as the theoretical basis for empirical research analysis. The eating habits of Swedish and Chinese are compared to show their difference which influence consumers on food choice more or less. According to the result of the questionnaire survey, Swedish consumers have positive attitude to Chinese food on factors of health, sensory appeal, natural content, safety, price and mood and relative negative attitude on factors of convenience, familiarity and image of China. This outcome is confirmed by the information collected from interviews. Most Swedish consumers choose Chinese food from information processing perspectives; few of them are from behavioral learning processing; some of them are from hedonic consumption perspective. The relationship among Swedes, Chinese food and China is unstable at present time. Swedes do not know much about China and they are not familiar with Chinese food either. Competitors of Chinese food in Sweden such as Thai food, Japanese sushi and west fast food are important aspects which disperse people’s attention and enlarge their food choice range.
