EN EMPIRISK ENKÄTSTUDIE OM ELEVERS ERFARENHETER OCHUPPFATTNINGAR OM SO-UNDERVISNING UNDER LÅGSTADIETHenningsson, Julia, Vikman, Ebba January 2021 (has links)
This study is based on a survey answered by 124 pupils in grade 3. By analyzing the pupils’experiences and opinions, about the teaching methods used in Social studies, the goal was tomake their views of the methods visible. The pupils answered questions about their entire timethey have spent in Swedish primary school. Our conclusion was that the pupils have differentopinions about what methods they use and what methods they wanted to use. The pupils hadsome frequently used teaching methods in common, for example listening to the teacher, movies, reading etc. But it turned out that the pupils from the different schools had differentopinions about what teaching methods they wanted to use more frequently. Some otherconclusions that have emerged are influenced by pupils’ interest for the subject andsociocultural context. Overall, pupils who participated in this study wanted a variety of teachingmethods. Our study did show that the pupils, surprisingly, didn’t necessarily wanted more of orthought they learnt more of the methods they thought was fun. They wanted to use methodsthey consider fun but they also wanted to use other methods, like listening to the teacher.

The experiences of employees living with HIV regarding the Swedish Workplace HIV and AIDS ProgrammeKau, Mabebe Mary January 2016 (has links)
To have an effective response to the AIDS pandemic, interventions need to address the root causes of risk and vulnerability to HIV, including socio-cultural norms relating to the sexual behavior of men and women, but also the issue of access to education, information on prevention and health services, as well as opportunities for descent work (ILO, 2011:iii). There is a realization that each part of everyday life is affected by the disease including the workplace. Therefore measures to sustain workplaces and prolong the productive work life of People living with HIV, must be taken to great levels in the workplace. The delay by the government and the private sector response in South Africa contributed to the impact of the disease in the loss of productivity.
There is a realization that through the availability of treatment, people living with HIV and AIDS can prolong their productive lives, however there is still an increased need for education, protection of rights and support from both workplaces and families. The aim of the study was to explore and describe the experiences of the Swedish company employees living with HIV and AIDS with regards to the Swedish Workplace HIV and AIDS Programme (SWHAP). A qualitative approach using a phenomenological design was the most appropriate for this study using in-depth interviews. The approach was used with the purpose of describing and understanding the complexity of the phenomenon from the participants' point of view, which in this study refers to employees who are HIV infected. To achieve the aims and objectives, one question was put forward to all participants: "What are the experiences of Swedish company employees living with HIV and AIDS regarding the Swedish Workplace HIV and AIDS Programme?" Non-probability purposive sampling was used since it was the sampling method that gave the researcher the opportunity to use her judgment. The following selection criteria was used: employees of a Swedish company in South Africa, who have been diagnosed HIV-positive, who have participated in the Swedish HIV and AIDS Workplace Programme and of any race, culture, gender or age. English was the language of first choice, however where necessary Sepedi, Setswana, Xhosa, Zulu, which researcher is conversant in was used. Nine participants were interviewed using semi-structured one-to-one interviews. The interview schedule was used to provide the researcher with a set of predetermined questions which served as an instrument to engage the participants. Furthermore each interview was voice recorded with the permission of the participants to ensure that the researcher had an accurate reference point. Through the semi-structured interviews, the interviews were transcribed and the following themes were generated. Theme one: knowledge of the Swedish Workplace HIV and AIDS Programme; theme two: sense of security about procedures of SWHAP; theme three: support services from SWHAP; and theme four: emotional experiences.
Subsequently, conclusions that were made from the findings were:
All participants expressed their satisfaction with the support they received from the workplace structures such as management especially the clinic nurses. There was however the observation that most participants had not disclosed their HIV status to the other co-workers, which led to the conclusion that there may still be issues with stigma in their workplaces. The experiences felt by the participants were also attributed to lack of knowledge of the SWHAP as a funding organization, but can associate it with HIV knowledge transference in the workplace, which needs to be addressed by the application of the recommendations made.
Several recommendations were made to the respective workplaces and in particular the SWHAP, including that employees living with HIV need to be involved in every step of implementation of the programme in order to feel supported. Companies need to invest in continuous training of health care professionals and social workers (if any), and peer educators on the new clinical management of people living with HIV, to enable them to be up to date with the developments. Peer educators need to be provided with continuous training in educating and supporting their peers and giving of information at their level in a confidential manner. Policies should be updated regularly to ensure compliance with the legislations regulating decent work for People living with HIV. / Mini Dissertation (MSW)--University of Pretoria, 2016. / Social Work and Criminology / MSW / Unrestricted

Läromedel och metoder för andraspråksinlärning : En undersökning om hur läromede används vid skrivinlärning hos elever med ett annat modersmål / Materials significance to second language learners. : A study on educational material for second language pupils literacy learningBogren, Emelie January 2016 (has links)
This research aims to find out how a small sized school in western Sweden, where the experience regarding second language students is not very high, accept the challenge to find and use teaching methods adapted to the students. It will investigate what specific methods or theaching materials are used and why they have been chosen, all this with a focus on literacy learning. The method applied is qualitive interviews. Four teachers have been interviewed from three different grades. In the result and discussion the empiricism according to the four issues about teaching materials and choice of methods is presented. Sverige i Nato? : En pro-contra analys av den svenska debatten om Nato-medlemskapet bland olika politiska aktörerEliassi, Salam January 2016 (has links)
The debate concerning if Sweden should move closer to NATO or even apply for membership is not entirely new. Due to Russia´s annexation of the Crimean peninsula in Ukraine in the spring of 2014, and due to Russians violations of national territory, Swedish political actors have discussed the NATO membership energetically. The purpose of this essay is to map out the Swedish debate about NATO membership. By applying a Pro-Contra analysis this essay will also examine arguments from the swedish parties, members of parliament, debaters, researchers and former Secretary of State. Furthermore, the arguments will also be analyzed through theories of realism and liberalism. The debate for a NATO membership shows that arguments are based on a combination of both realism and liberalism, although there are more arguments influenced by liberalism. The arguments against a NATO membership are mainly characterized by realism rather than liberalism.

Kampen om den svenska utrikespolitiken : Hur den svenska utrikespolitiken definieras och fastställs mellan åren 1867–1905 till följd av den rådande politiska maktdelningenBjörk, Martin January 2016 (has links)
Abstract The struggle for Swedish foreign policy – How Swedish foreign policy was defined and established between the years 1867–1905 as a result of prevailing political power-sharing AIMS – The aim of this master thesis is to problematize how the Swedish foreign policy was defined politically in the context of the existing constitutional power-sharing model between the bicameral parliament and the ruling monarch. The period 1867–1905 is considered an earlier phase in the political process towards modern parliamentarianism in Sweden. DESIGN – An overall theoretical perspective of a correlation between domestic- and foreign policy is applied, and complemented with a theoretical position of which actor has the priority to define Swedish foreign policy. The thesis uses a methodology of extensive argumentation analysis, with a thematic division between the internal political arena on one side, and on the other side the parliamentary arena. The first arena is analyzed by combining political programs with the monarchs’ autobiographies and memoir. The second arena uses parliamentary debate protocols, parliamentary bills. In this way the thesis generates a selection and a greater understanding of various political issues which is of concern to the actual foreign policy definition in the annual official political throne speeches of the Swedish monarch. RESULTS – A variety of political issues are regarded as of foreign political importance within the internal political arena and is distinguished by a degree of correlations with ideological, ideal and political domestic issues. Such issues are then reflected in the parliamentary arena, through debates in both first and second chambers. The range of issues addressed is not only of constitutional importance, regarding the monarch’s executive power over the different foreign policy areas, but also concerning which political approach should be applied to define the main principle of Swedish foreign policy. Together, the parliamentary debates reveals which arguments influence the definition of foreign policy and which actors who claim the priority to define Swedish foreign policy – all within the existing frame of the power-sharing system. CONCLUSIONS – The thesis concludes that the actors of various parliamentary committees, and especially the constitutional committee, not only had the crucial argument which determined the outcome of the numerous parliamentary debates. Same actors also had the priority to define the main arguments on which the foundations of the monarch’s foreign policy political guidelines where dictated.

Berg- och dalbanan : En motivanalys av Försvarsmaktens nedrustning och upprustning 1999–2015Forsberg, Mattias January 2019 (has links)
Between the 1950s and late 1990s the Swedish armed forces prepared for an invasion from the Soviet Union. However, after the cold war, the conditions changed, and the perceived threat slowly faded away. In lack of threats against the Swedish sovereignty, Swedish armed forces changed strategy. It led to extensive cuts in the Swedish army’s capability to defend the Swedish territory. The more extensive changes began in the late 1900s and in 2015, the Swedish government declared a military re-armament. This study is a comparative study of the justifications from the Swedish government for the changes in military capability. The propositions behind the defense acts of 2000, 2004, 2009 and 2015 represents the analysis material of this study. This study shows that the development of the security policy constituted the main justification for the disarming, as well as the military re-armament. The Swedish government has adapted its military capabilities according to how Russia has been acting militarily. The adaption has been made with respect to Russia’s current military capability. Thus, future changes in the Russian military strategy has been miscalculated. In addition to how Russia has been acting, disarmament has also been affected by other factors such as economy, culture and technology. The re-armament has also been affected by the defense’s low operational ability and increased need for cooperation capacity.

Rasism och populism : En argumentations- och diskursinriktad analys av SDs och NMRs partiprogramWidman, Jesper January 2019 (has links)
This is a qualitative study with an argumentation and discourse approach with the purpose to compile what the Swedish democrats (SD) and the Nordic resistance movement (NMR) writes about religion in their current party program. The two main questions in this study were as follows: Are there any signs of islamophobia, antisemitism or cultural racism in the party programs of Swedish democrats and the Nordic resistance movement and how is this expressed? also Is it religion that is more represented as threat in each party program? The main theories that are discussed in this study are islamophobia, antisemitism and cultural racism. The result of the study shows that the Nordic resistance movement have many arguments that are antiemetic, and this organization especially believes that we live in a world where majority of medias and politicians are controlled by a Zionist elite group. The study of The Swedish democrat’s party program shows that many arguments have cultural racism intendencies and that the party favorites Christianity in their party program.
