SAS Sveriges förändringsarbete - förankring hos medarbetarna

Persson, Carina, Hermansson, Per, Björnfot, Elisabet January 2008 (has links)
The purpose with this thesis was to evaluate if Scandinavian Airlines Sweden has anchored the current organizational change towards the employees. We have analyzed how Scandinavian Airlines Sweden is working with motivation of the employees and change their values and norms. The starting point was Strategy 2011 and we have evaluated the part that touch the employees’ perspective and the cultural turnaround that takes place within the SAS group. In our own research we have made a delimitation to only investigate Scandinavian Airlines Sweden and their interpretation of the strategy, which they name”Framtidsresan (future trip)”. The theoretical model that has been prepared gives us the possibility to analyze the organizational change for Scandinavian Airlines Sweden and evaluate how the changes affect the employees in the organization. The model uses the variables Communication, Organizational change, Employees behavior and Employees conditions. Conclusion from the research is that the internal communication within Scandinavian Airlines Sweden mostly has been biased and formal from the company’s side. In most of the cases the employees have not been able to have an active dialogue. Support of the organizational change has been affected by the fact that information not fully have considered what will happen to the employees and their workplace. We strongly feel that anchorage of the organizational change can be improved if Scandinavian Airlines Sweden involves more managerial staff from the organization than the 40 middle level managers that were involved during introduction of ”Framtidsresan (future trip)” with its vision and strategies. That would improve the possibility for a dialogue with the employees and compensate for cultural differences as well as generate a better future result with the organizational change. Another way is to work on the changes in smaller groups where the employees can feel more involved and have a better dialogue. By open up for dialogue and involvement in smaller groups as well as give feedback and cooperate more are some ways to increase motivation. We feel that these steps are necessary to take to be successful with the big cultural change that takes place right now.

Skandinavų literatūros recepcija Lietuvoje: istorija, vertimai, bibliografija / The reception of Scandinavian literature in Lithuania: history, translations, bibliography

Bartkevičienė, Jurga 29 June 2009 (has links)
Be to, fiksuoti verstų iš skandinavų kalbų grožinių tekstų bibliografiniai duomenys. / The work consists of two main parts: description of Scandinavian literatures and bibliographic data. It analyses translations of fiction from Scandinavian languages (Icelandic, Danish, Norwegian and Swedish) into Lithuanian language. Each country’s literature is described separately. The work briefly discusses histories of literatures, literatures for adults and children and presents main translators. Greater attention is paid to more famous authors. Moreover, the work provides bibliographic data on fiction translated from Scandinavian languages. Most of the books published in Lithuanian language are included in the lists. It was noted that the close relation among Scandinavian literatures has no impact on their translations into Lithuanian. Translators who translate from several Scandinavian languages become the connective link. Translations from Scandinavian languages into Lithuanian are closely related to political, economic, ideological factors; however the translator plays a crucial role alongside these factors. Only due to the translators the Lithuanian book space is augmented with especially valuable texts. In its essence, this work is encyclopaedic; therefore it provides various information that could expand reader’s knowledge in Scandinavian authors and their works, though it does not repeat universally known or available information on the authors' biographies and published works.

DEFYING THE MODERNIST CANON: MIKHAIL LARIONOV’S ARTISTIC EXPERIENCE BEYOND THE CANVAS

Hans, Ella 01 January 2011 (has links)
In the contemporary art-historical vision, Mikhail Larionov is renowned as the author and the main figure in the polemical discourse of Neoprimitivism and the inventor of the Rayonism style. These aspects, although crucial to his career, are far from exhausting the artist’s legacy. During his most industrious period, from 1910 to 1915, he was equally, if not more, engaged in the development of new forms of art than in the practice of painting; in fact, the conventional cornerstone of the high art in the era of Modernism – a painting – lost its central position and receded to the status of the peripheral phenomenon in his artistic practice. When considering his position as a central figure in the events of the 1910-1915 in Russia, Larionov’s ambivalence as an artist implies hesitation about the picture of gestalt homogeneity of Modernist discourse (with a painting as the hierarchical apex of high art in the Modernist era) in Russia of the early decades of the twentieth century. While historical evaluation privileges the painting over the non-painting practice of the artist, there is sufficient evidence testifying to the need to consider them as equal and synergetic.

Kick off in the Scandinavian soccer leagues

Kristensen, Martin, Nilsson, Daniel January 2014 (has links)
This study emphasizes on the Scandinavian soccer leagues team performance and what shapes it. This has been a widely discussed area where previous researchers have focused on factors such as organizational structure, organizational strategy, team level and individual level. The study takes this field to a new level with a combination of these factors in order to conceptualize team performance on a new level. The purpose with this study is to explain how organizational strategy, structure, team level and individual level factors affect team performance, in the Scandinavian elite soccer leagues. In order to investigate this phenomenon we have used a deductive approach. Further, this study emphasizes a quantitative approach where the data has been collected through a document analysis. In this study the findings indicates that the variables that has been chosen are highly correlated to team performance. However, due to the short time frame this study has fostered, it has been hard to generalize how the variables affect team performance. The limitations are that the study´s findings are only based on a two year span, which makes it hard to generalize the results. However, it is clear that the chosen variables have a significant impact on team performance in Scandinavian soccer leagues. The original value of this thesis is a new conceptualization on team performance within the soccer industry.

Tempus och transitivitet i dövas andraspråk / Tense and transitivity in the second language of the deaf

Wennerberg, Jeanna January 2004 (has links)
The aim of this dissertation is twofold. On one hand, I describe the use of tense in the second language of the deaf – written Swedish. There is no previous description of this. On the other hand, I operationalize the transitivity model (Hopper & Thompson 1980) and test its scope. I test in part whether transitivity as it is described by Hopper & Thompson (1980) can be used to explain the use of tense by the deaf in my study. The reason why I connect transitivity with the use of tense is that I would like to see whether a transitivity analysis of a text can replace classification into foreground and background. If so, a transitivity analysis should be a sufficient method for testing the discourse hypothesis, which maintains that second language learners use their emerging verb morphology to signal foreground and background rather than tense. The material I use for both these aims consists of a total of 129 essays written by deaf high school students. The results show that the percentage of clauses with an appropriate choice of tense in all three subsets of material is high. One interesting trend that could be discerned with regard to use of tense is that when informants use a tense that is appropriate for the genre, their command of that tense is better than when it is used in a genre for which it is less appropriate. Calculations testing the hypothesis of co-variance between the components in the transitivity model show in general that such co-variance exists. Nonetheless, the degree of this varies and is far from total. Taken together, the calculations made in this investigation provide support for the claim that these nine components co-vary with one another. The results also show that there is no correlation between the components and the use of tense. Judging from the results, the value of the different components (positive or negative) appears to have no importance in determining whether the choice of tense is appropriate or not. Nor is there any significant difference in the subsets of material for my investigation of whether the number of positive values that a clause has is relevant in classifying the choice of tense as appropriate.

Breaker of the trance| The warrior as a means to heal from trauma

Smith, Laura Lynn 31 December 2014 (has links)
<p> When an individual has suffered from repeated abuses during childhood, an intrapsychic conflict arises in which inner persecutory figures terrorize other, more vulnerable aspects of the personality (Kalsched, 1996). The aim of this dissertation is to explore how the archetype of the Self, an organizing and integrating principle within the psyche (Jung, 1952/1954), can activate within the adult trauma survivor the aggressive energies of the warrior as a means to mitigate the inner persecution that arises out of traumatic experience. </p><p> Norse myth and the epic poem <i>Beowulf,</i> both rich in war and warring, are used as the hermeneutical texts to illustrate the hypothesis regarding the function of the Self and the warrior in the face of trauma. Mythic figures such as Odin&mdash;as the Self, Thor and Beowulf&mdash;as warriors, and Loki, Grendel, and Grendel's mother&mdash;as inner persecutors, demonstrate the interplay between the Self-warrior-inner persecutory triad that can evolve out of traumatic experience. Texts on trauma, the archetype of the warrior, and the experiences of the modern warrior provide further hermeneutical material for the research. </p><p> Findings from this study indicate that archetypal warrior energies have the capacity to lessen the influence of negative internal forces within the trauma survivor, effectively breaking a form of trance commonly induced by the experience of cumulative childhood trauma. Results demonstrate that the warrior archetype has a maturational arc. In its mature form, the warrior is capable of forming cooperative relationships with formerly negative inner aspects, once the warrior's efforts have softened the impact of those aspects upon the ego. Surprisingly, studied texts also reveal that former inner persecutors, once they are brought into greater relatedness with the whole of the psyche, contain within them numerous gifts for the benefit of the overall personality. </p><p> This dissertation infers that any subject under investigation may benefit from the rich material found within the study of Norse myth and the archetype of the warrior, both topics of which practitioners within the field of depth psychology have generally overlooked. </p><p> Keywords: trauma, child abuse, warrior, trickster, Jung, Norse myth, <i> Beowulf.</i></p>
