The demands of a fast growing third world population on the education system of the Republic of South Africa places great stress on an economy already battling against sanctions and disinvestment. The challenge is to keep up standards of education in order to supply sufficient numbers of qualified manpower to keep the economy going whilst at the same time attempting to create equal educational facilities for an exploding black school population. At the other end of the scale is the problem of dwindling numbers of well qualified white teachers, especially in certain subjects like mathematics, science and commerce as they are recruited into the private sector offering them large increases in salaries. The intention of the study was to try to find a new model for financing and the related decision making of education. The modus operandi was: - i) A theoretical basis to the study was provided by looking at the development of the growing role of the state within the education system and the implications it has for the other participants in the system. ii) A look is taken at the "new right" philosophy as practised by Mrs Thatcher in England where the position of the individual vis-a-vis the state is being re-evaluated. iii) An analysis of the situation surrounding education and the economy as it presents itself in South Africa at the present moment is made. At the same time the position of each of the participants, namely the state, the parents, the educators and employers are evaluated. iv) The English system with its new Education Reform Act and the new concept of school-based management practised in Dade County, Florida in the USA is discussed for purposes of comparison. v) In conclusion a few suggestions are made regarding a future model for financing and managing of educational institutions in the RSA. / Skripsie (MBA)--PU vir CHO, 1989

The aim of the Diploma thesis is the analysis of the region of South America. This analysis is a combination of three areas of regional development: economic, social and environmental. Basic concepts of the problems characterizing the development of the region are described in the literature research part. Outputs of own analysis are the construction of a composite indicator which compares living conditions among selected countries and a cluster analysis, which shows the most similar clusters of the selected countries.

Subject of this dissertation is theoretical summary of urban development and analysis of sustainable urban development in selected countries of Latin America. With focus on socio-economic factors, analysis of status quo of poverty and its collocation, followed by analysis of poverty urban development in selected countries. The applicative part is focused on the concept of solution of insufficient capacities of housing in slum areas, which embodies in low-budget modular accomodation units.

This essay will analyse how racism is represented in hip-hop lyrics from the first 7 years of the 2010th decade. The lyrics will be divided into four various categories to show how the artist is using history to connect with the listener. When analysing the lyrics, a content analysis will be used were the lyrics are broken down into smaller parts. These smaller parts will be broken down and the valuable information is extracted. When doing this analysis, it is important to not break the lyrics into too small parts, if done the context can be lost.

Diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou vzájemné obchodní výměny České republiky s Chile, Mexikem a státy MERCOSUR v letech 2000-2006. Důraz je kladen i na obchodní vztahy mezi EU a vybranými státy. Práce rozebírá vzájemnou dynamiku i komoditní strukturu obchodu mezi jednotlivými roky i za celé období. V závěru je analýza doplněna o pohled na toky zahraničních investic mezi ČR a vybranými státy spolu s určením hlavních perspektivních odvětví.

This Master's Degree Thesis is devoted to the study of Foreign Trade Development between the Czech Republic and those Latin American countries to which the CR attributes territorial preferences, i.e. Brazil and Mexico. International trade has gained a lot on importance in the past century, distances became shorter and the world globalized. Businesses search for new markets, new challenges and new clients. Czech companies are following the same trends. Mexico and Brazil are becoming important partners. Over the years of existence of the CR the mutual exchange with these two countries increased eight times and there are still a lot of unexploited possibilities. Brazil and Mexico are two fast growing countries with more than 100 million inhabitants. Even though they rank among poorer countries, the level of life of their inhabitants is rising and the effective demand as well. Czech products have a very good reputation in these areas, still leveraging the advantage of the well-perceived label "Made in Czechoslovakia", which has always been considered a guarantee of quality. Currently Czech products are considered as having good price-quality rapport, the best combination the client can wish. In this thesis, I am characterizing the political and economical situation of Brazil and Mexico, taking insight into the development of trade exchange between the CR and these two countries, mentioning fairs and other actions to support Czech products in the Brazilian and Mexican markets, introducing the reader to the culture of those regions and describing the situation of actual Czech companies present on the Brazilian market. I am convinced that the possibilities of collaboration between the CR and these two countries aren't yet fully exploited and that there will be a continuous growth in mutual trade exchange.

Peronism has been one of the most widely used terms in the context of Argentinean politics, history and culture over the last 60 years. In spite of the fact that there is no official definition of the term, many different political strategies in Argentina are referred to as Peronist. Why is it so complicated to define the concept of Peronism? What does it really mean when Argentinean presidents claim to be Peronists? This thesis is based on the hypothesis that Peronism is primarily brand of political populist projects. The first chapter classifies the concept of populism, the second chapter deals with the particular populism in Latin America and the third chapter analyzes the individual mandates of Peronist presidents. The analysis strongly supports the working hypothesis.

Syftet med denna uppsats var att ta reda på hur tidningen Smålandsposten användes av ångbåtslinjerna genom att de annonserade med sina resor och hur deras annonser kunde ha sett ut för att de ska vara det företag som använts i överfarten mellan Sverige och Amerika. Frågorna som har ställts utifrån syftet var hur ofta förekom artiklar och annonser med Amerikaanknytning i Smålandsposten? På vilket sätt var artiklarna vinklade? Var de inbjudande eller avskräckande och vilka värderande ord användes? På vilket sätt lade båtlinjerna fram sina annonser i media för att presentera överfarten till Amerika? Genom att ha arbetat kvalitativt och kvantitativt med källmaterialet och analysera de 154 tidningar som getts ut under 1880 utav tidningen Smålandsposten hade 36 stycken av tidningarna haft annonser och artiklar mellan februari och augusti månad som berört Amerikaemigrationen som hade sin topp under 1880. Under maj 1880 emigrerade totalt 21 923 personer från Sverige varav 1 046 från Småland. Grunden till emigrationen var svält, överbefolkning och en trångboddhet som utelämnade en stor del av Sveriges befolkning, främst i Kronoberg, till att bo i fattighus och backstugor. Annonserna och artiklarna som analyserats har grupperats in i tabeller var det går att se vilken båtlinje som annonserade mest frekvent och under vilka månader de annonserade för sina linjer som antingen utgick från Malmö var emigranterna kunde åka med Inman-linjen, Bremen-linjen eller Amerika-linjen. De fyra andra linjerna som var aktiva reste från Göteborg var Guion-linjen, Anchor-linjen, Allan-linjen och State-linjen. De olika båtlinjerna använde sig av beskrivande ord som Amerika, snabbast, arbetsanställning, första klassen, billigaste och bekvämaste. Dessa adjektiv och beskrivande ord används i alla annonser oavsett ångbåtslinje. Det ord som användes i majoriteten av annonser var Amerika som användes 51 gånger i de 36 tidningar i Smålandsposten som berörde Amerikaemigrationen. Den starka övertygelseförmågan från de olika ångbåtslinjerna skiner igenom de 36 tidningar med 57 annonser och 6 artiklar om Amerika och visar hur stark dragkraft Amerika hade och hur den ovetande smålänningen tog steget att lämna allt familjärt i Sverige i tron om en ny och ljusare framtid i Amerika på andra sidan Atlanten.

This thesis refers to Latin-American immigration to Spain during the last twenty years (1990 - 2010). This thesis is divided in two main parts. The first part is devoted to a general overview and also to the most important aspects related to the emigration of Latin Americans into Spain. The individual chapters are focused on the following topics: discussion and development of research of immigration in Spain, the roots of Latin American emigration, Spain as the destination of emigrants, migration policy of Spain, the composition of the Latin American population living in Spain, the integration of Latin American immigrants in Spanish labour market and Latin American gangs in Spain. The second part of this thesis is dedicated to a research focusing on the coexistence of Spanish and Latin Americans in the Iberian Peninsula. Based on the survey the following aspects are examined: the reasons of Latin Americans leading to emigration to Spain, experience of Latin American emigrants with attitude of Spanish people towards them, attitude of Spanish towards immigrants and last but not least the integration of Latin American immigrants into the Spanish society.
