Tomando como base redações produzidas por candidatos que participaram do processo seletivo realizado em 2012 para o preenchimento a vagas de diferentes cursos de graduação oferecidos na Universidade Estadual do Maranhão - UEMA, corpus desta pesquisa, tem-se o objetivo de analisar as ocorrências das retomadas de porções textuais produzidas por pronomes demonstrativos e expressões nominais definidas, constituídas por esses pronomes, denominadas encapsulamentos anafóricos, que contribuem para a progressão referencial dos textos. A abordagem proposta fundamenta-se nos estudos de Referenciação, postulados por Koch (2002, 2006,2009, 2010, 2011), Marcuschi (1998, 2008), Cavalcante (2003, 2011, 2012) e Tedesco (2002). Foram levantadas categorias de análise para a observação do fenômeno em estudo, sob três perspectivas: as formas morfossemânticas que podem assumir as expressões de retomadas no texto; as funções semântico-discursivas exercidas por essas expressões e a localização das expressões de retomada na estrutura textual das redações. O corpus desta pesquisa 45 (quarenta e cinco) redações de vestibular UEMA/2012, que corresponde a 10% da amostra de 450 (quatrocentos e cinquenta) redações analisadas constitui-se em textos dissertativo-argumentativos, o que propiciou a discussão teórica dos conceitos de gêneros discursivos e tipos textuais, no que tange à natureza estrutural dos textos analisados, fundamentando-se em Marcuschi (2008), Koch (2002, 2011), Rojo (2012). O estudo nos leva a afirmar que o pronome demonstrativo e as denominadas expressões nominais definidas constituem-se em um recurso discursivo bastante utilizado nas referidas produções de texto, promovendo não só a ligação entre as diferentes partes do texto, mas também contribuindo para a progressão textual por meio da referenciação / Based on essays produced by candidates who participated in the process for selection conducted in 2012 to fill the vacancies for different undergraduate courses offered at the State University of Maranhão - UEMA, corpus of this research, it has been the purpose of analyzing the occurrence of repeated textual portions produced by defined demonstrative pronouns and nominal expressions, constituted by these pronouns, called encapsulations anaphoric, which contribute to the progression of reference texts. A abordagem proposta se baseia na análise da referenciação, forma de organização coesiva do texto, especificamente, o encapsulamento anafórico. Para verificar a função discursiva desse fenômeno argumentativo nas redações, a análise foi dividida em duas perspectivas: por um lado, foram investigados os tipos de cadeias de referenciação, designadas como específica, rotulando e contribuindo para a progressão referencial no texto; ou como não específica, simplesmente, retomando e resumindo o conteúdo antecedente, evitando repetições. De outro lado, ampliou-se a análise para os elementos que constituem essas cadeias, verificando como foi realizada a menção ao referente através da manutenção temática. Além disso, foi possível notar como essa manutenção dos dados no texto possibilita a coesão textual e enriquece a argumentação que o aluno faz para defender a sua tese. Portanto, pode-se afirmar que a principal contribuição que esse trabalho oferece para o ensino de língua materna concerne na abordagem do texto a partir de uma perspectiva dos processamentos cognitivos, revelando como os elementos vão sendo construídos nas redações, a partir de componentes culturais e conhecimentos diversos dos alunos, que proporcionam a progressão referencial / This work features fifty essays from students of Sintuperj preparation course - who have graduated from high school and now are preparing to take the entrance exam. The approach is based on the cohesive organization of these texts through referencing, examining the use of the articulator termed anaphoric encapsulation. To check the function of this phenomenon argumentative discourse in Essays, the analysis was divided in two perspectives: first, the types of referral chains were investigated, designated as specific, labeling and contributing to the progression reference in the text, or as non-specific, simply retrieving and summarizing the previous content, avoiding repetitions. On the other hand, the analysis was expanded to the elements of these chains, as was done by checking the reference to the referent. With this, was possible to note that this maintenance of the data in the text allows for text cohesion - evaluation criteria for college - and consistently enriches the argument that the student makes to defend his thesis. Therefore, it can be stated that the main contribution that this work provides for the teaching of native language concerns of the text from the perspective of cognitive processing, revealing how the elements are constructed in the essays, from the cultural components and knowledge of diverse students, providing the reference progression

FundaÃÃo de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado do Cearà / CoordenaÃÃo de AperfeiÃoamento de Pessoal de NÃvel Superior / Esta Tese descreve a argumentatividade das anÃforas encapsuladoras à luz da Teoria dos Blocos SemÃnticos - TBS (CAREL, 1995; DUCROT e CAREL, 1998) e da Teoria da Polifonia (ANSCOMBRE e DUCROT, 1998; DUCROT e CAREL, 2008). Partimos da hipÃtese de que a TBS constitui modelo apropriado para descrever as funÃÃes argumentativas das anÃforas encapsuladoras, uma vez que aborda, em seu Ãmbito, os fenÃmenos de significaÃÃo (semÃnticos) e de sentido (pragmÃticos) envolvidos na argumentaÃÃo em quaisquer esferas da lÃngua posta em uso. AlÃm disso, tendo em vista a particularizaÃÃo, nas anÃforas encapsuladoras, de encadeamentos doxais ou paradoxais, investigamos a estratÃgia argumentativa interior e ulterior ao sistema linguÃstico subjacente a essas expressÃes, descrevendo-lhes a funÃÃo de aproximaÃÃo ou afastamento do locutor em relaÃÃo aos enunciados avaliados. Discutiu-se ainda a noÃÃo de valor axiolÃgico, resultando que a prÃpria argumentaÃÃo, inerente à lÃngua, redunda na atualizaÃÃo de um valor axiolÃgico nas expressÃes anafÃricas encapsuladoras, constituindo os dois conceitos numa sà noÃÃo de argumentaÃÃo. Por fim, foi encontrado que a assimilaÃÃo e as atitudes do locutor (assunÃÃo, concordÃncia, oposiÃÃo), nas porÃÃes encapsuladas, podem exprimir funÃÃes avaliativas em diferentes nÃveis. Essas atitudes estabelecem nÃveis de comprometimento do locutor com o enunciado, mas constituem, todas elas, mecanismos axiolÃgicos. O resultado das ponderaÃÃes aponta para a inadequaÃÃo de se descrever funÃÃes argumentativas a priori para as anÃforas encapsuladoras, visto que à apenas na articulaÃÃo textual e, mais propriamente, no encadeamento, fruto de assimilaÃÃo ou de alguma atitude do locutor, que as anÃforas encapsuladoras podem ser dispositivo para uma estratÃgia argumentativo-polifÃnica. / The Thesis describes argumentation within encapsulated anaphors based on Semantic Blocks Theory (SBT) (CAREL, 1995; DUCROT & CAREL, 1998) and Polyphony (ANSCOMBRE e DUCROT, 1998; DUCROT e CAREL, 2008) approaches. The study assumes the hypothesis that SBT is an appropriate model to describe argumentative functions of encapsulated anaphors, since it approaches to phenomena as meaning (semantics) and sense (pragmatic) implicated in argumentation within any kind of language in use. Therefore since encapsulated anaphors comprehend doxa and paradox enchaining, the study investigates the argumentative strategy that is interior and ulterior to such expressions linguistic system, by describing their function of uttererâs approximation and distance from the evaluated statements. It argued on the axiological value notion, resulting that the very argumentation, inner to language, updates an axiological value in encapsulated anaphoric expressions, so that both concepts can be gathered in a unique notion for argumentation. Finally, the study took into account that assimilation and uttererâs attitude (assumption, according, opposition) within encapsulated portions can express different leveled evaluative functions. Such attitudes set levels of compromise from utterer in the concerning to the utterance, but all of them are axiological mechanisms. The result for discussions in the research points to the impossibility of describing argumentative functions a priori for encapsulated anaphors, since it is only within text articulation â and more properly within enchaining, target of assimilation of any attitude â that encapsulated anaphors can be dispositive for a polyphonic-argumentative strategy.

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES / This research is about the use of anaphoric processes in a Folha de São Paulo editorial newspaper genus. Our analysis refers to one of the reference construction strategies that are still little discussed: the anaphoric encapsulation, to observe how far this point contribute to argument direction. The objective of this study is to verify how the encapsulation process is used in the editorial genus to redraft the speech objects, considering its contribution to the text thematic progression and present argumentative orientation in this genus. We understand anaphoric encapsulation as strategies referentiation which is defined as a phenomenon by which a new discourse referent is created on the basis of information given; becoming thus the argument later predications, but can also result in the categorization of argumentative functions in textual progression. Inside this process, we consider the multiple contextual factors integration (discursive-textual, cognitive, social, cultural, situational), in view of this research, prioritize an approach that considers the integration among referentiation strategies and descriptive analysis of this genus. We selected fifteen (15) editorial in 184 bank / sample. In consideration of analysis, we described as the reconstruction of the most frequente objects speech on the text surface is confirmed by the recurrence of contextual and / or inferential mechanisms in argumentative orientation the genus in study. The theoretical and methodological support adopted develops from the theoretical apparatus of Textual Linguistics, nowadays based on the referentiation process, based on authors such as Mondada and Dubois (2003), Conte (2003), Marcuschi (2008, 2009 ), Koch (2004), Cavalcante (2011), and Lima Cavalcante (2015), Ciulla (2008), Koch and Cortez (2015) and others. The results show that encapsulation constitutes an important benchmark strategy that contributes directly to the textual progression and topical organization. In this way, we verify that this strategy not only has the function of connecting topics, but also constitutes an instrument establishing assessments, and may also lead to text argumentative orientation. / Esta pesquisa versa sobre o uso de processos anafóricos no gênero editorial do jornal Folha de São Paulo. Nossa análise refere-se a uma das estratégias de construção referencial ainda pouco discutida: o encapsulamento anafórico, de modo a observar até que ponto contribui para a orientação argumentativa. O objetivo deste trabalho consiste em verificar como o processo de encapsulamento é utilizado no gênero editorial para reelaborar os objetos do discurso, tendo em vista a sua contribuição para a progressão temática do texto e para orientação argumentativa presente nesse gênero. Entendemos como encapsulamento anafórico uma das estratégias da referenciação que se define como um fenômeno, através do qual, um novo referente discursivo é criado sob a base de uma informação dada; tornando-se, assim, o argumento de predicações posteriores, como também pode resultar na categorização de funções argumentativas na progressão textual. No interior desse processo, levamos em consideração a integração entre múltiplos fatores contextuais (o discursivo-textual, o cognitivo, o social, o cultural, o situacional), haja vista, nesta pesquisa, priorizarmos uma abordagem que leva em conta a integração entre estratégias de referenciação e a análise descritiva de tal gênero. Para isso, selecionamos 15 (quinze) editoriais de um banco/amostra de 184. Em consideração a análise, descrevemos como a reconstrução dos objetos de discurso mais frequentes na superfície do texto se confirma pela recorrência a mecanismos contextuais e/ou inferenciais na orientação argumentativa do gênero em questão. O suporte teórico-metodológico adotado desenvolve-se a partir do aparato teórico da Linguística Textual, na atualidade, baseando-se no processo de referenciação, alicerçado em autores como Mondada e Dubois (2003), Conte (2003), Marcuschi (2008, 2009), Koch (2004), Cavalcante (2011), Lima e Cavalcante (2015), Ciulla (2008), Koch e Cortez (2015) dentre outros. Os resultados evidenciam que o encapsulamento se constitui como importante estratégia referencial que contribui diretamente para a progressão textual e a organização tópica. Desse modo, verificamos que essa estratégia não só apresenta a função de ligar tópicos, como também se constitui de instrumento que estabelece avaliações, podendo também conduzir a orientação argumentativa do texto.
