Im Rahmen der vorliegenden Studienarbeit sollen der Stand und die Praktikabilitaet von RDF/XML untersucht und eine auf XML/RDF basierende Technologie zum Metadaten-Handling in MONARCH entwickelt werden. Weiterhin sollen auf der Grundlage von RDF/XML neue Features fuer MONARCH, speziell aggregierte Dokumente, entwickelt werden.

1995 wurde mit dem Aufbau des Multimedia Online Archiv Chemnitz (MONARCH) begonnen. Aktuelle Entwicklungen sind der Einsatz von RDF für die Metadaten und von digitalen Signaturen. Die technische Sicherung der Dauerhaftigkeit erfolgt durch Migrationskonzepte. Zu den vorhandenen Dokumentenformaten wird XML kommen, diskutiert werden DTD-Alternativen. Als Anwendungsaspekte werden u.a. die Behandlung aggregierter Dokumente und der Umgang mit dem Plagiatsproblem betrachtet.

Im Gegensatz zu früher existiert über das, was heute unter dem Label „Voguing“ läuft, eine Reihe von kleinen Dokumentationen, die sich hauptsächlich über das Internet verbreiten. Die vielen im Netz kursierenden Handyvideos, meist in schlechter Sound- und Bildqualität, sind Mitschnitte von Bällen aus den USA, Frankreich oder Russland. Es wird deutlich, dass die Bewegungssprache spektakulärer und akrobatischer geworden ist. Ist Voguing heute mehr zur Tanzbewegung geworden und hat seinen sozialen Kontext hinter sich gelassen?

Mit der Einrichtung der Archiv Galerie hat das Haus der Kunst im März 2014 ein neues Format für die Präsentation seines Bestandes an historischen Materialien und ihrer Vermittlung etabliert. Basis sind die Bestände des Historischen Archivs, die 2004 erschlossen wurden. Der Beitrag diskutiert das kuratorische Konzept der Archiv Galerie sowie Anliegen und Perspektiven des Historischen Archivs. Der Beitrag behandelt Fragen der Aussagekraft archivarischer Materialien im aktuellen Kontext.

Wenn wir Dokumente oder Spuren von Performances bzw. Aufführungen als mediale Transformationen verstehen, deren technisch-apparative und ästhetisch-diskursive Bedingungen reflektiert werden müssen, so verbinden sich mit der Frage nach deren medialem Charakter jene nach den Verfahren ihrer Herstellung, nach den Methoden der Transformation und nach den damit verbundenen Handlungen zu ihrer wissenschaftlichen Bearbeitung. Medial verschiedene Praktiken des AUFZEICHNENs – sei es in Schrift, Zeichnung, Diagramm oder audio-visueller Speicherung, analog und digital - werden als Prozess, z.B. in Hinblick auf ihre Aufnahmemodi, und im Verhältnis zueinander beschrieben.

This diploma thesis deals with the topic of preserving cultural heritage in the context of digital humanities. The topic of this work will be the presentation of modern tools and technologies aimed at preserving cultural memory in Europe. The aim of this work will be to map the benefits and potential risks of digital infrastructures CESSDA, ARIADNE PLUS and DARIAH-EU for the preservation of cultural heritage. The work will be divided into three parts - the theoretical part will briefly introduce the topic of digital humanities and their studies, the concept of big data and the transformation of digital archives in the context of digital humanities. The analytical part will focus on mapping the current situation of cultural heritage preservation in Europe. The last practical part will offer an analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of digital infrastructures ARIADNE PLUS, CESSDA and DARIAH-EU both for the preservation of cultural heritage and for research in the social sciences and humanities.

Diese Dissertation aus dem Jahr 1984 (seit 2012 verfügbar unter http://www.walcker-stiftung.de/Downloads.html) ist die umfassendste und wichtigste Forschungsarbeit über die elsässische Orgelbauerfamilie Silbermann, die in den letzten 70 Jahren entstanden ist. Insbesondere gibt sie zahlreiche Quellentexte aus dem 18. Jahrhundert im Wortlaut wieder, die das Leben und das Werk der Silbermanns betreffen: Kirchenbucheintragungen zu den zahlreichen Mitgliedern dieser Familie (von denen allerdings viele im Kindesalter starben), Vertragstexte, das Inventar des umfangreichen Nachlasses von Johann Andreas Silbermann und dessen Nekrolog. Diese Informationen werden zusammengefasst in einer Genealogie der Familie Silbermann. Überdies sind in dieser Arbeit die Dispositionen sämtlicher bekannter Orgeln zusammengestellt, welche Andreas Silbermann (1678-1734) und Johann Andreas Silbermann (1712-1783) geschaffen haben. Die Dissertation geht ferner ein auf jene Orgelbauer, die vor Andreas Silbermann im Elsaß wirkten, darunter insbesondere Friedrich Ring (1666-1701), bei dem Andreas Silbermann zeitweilig in Arbeit stand und dessen Prospektgestaltung wesentlichen Einfluß auf die Silbermann-Prospekte ausgeübt hat. Abgerundet wird die Arbeit durch eine sehr umfangreiche Bibliographie. / Consacrée à la vie et à l’œuvre des facteurs d’orgues strasbourgeois André SILBERMANN (1678-1734) et Jean André SILBERMANN (1712-1783), cette thèse contient une généalogie de la famille, fondée sur des documents d’archives, et fait référence à des documents iconographiques, en partie inédits. Elle montre qu’André SILBERMANN n’a pas travaillé chez CASPARINI à Görlitz, mais chez RING à Strasbourg. La facture d’orgues des SILBERMANN est essentiellement d’inspiration française. La thèse établit la liste complète des ouvrages, avec les compositions, ainsi que plusieurs projets non exécutés. La facture d’orgues des SILBERMANN est située par rapport à celle des régions voisines et analysée au regard de la tradition locale et de son évolution interne.

In my thesis I focus on common resources of the concept of author in the context of philosophy and literary criticism, mostly in twentieth century. Moreover I look for specifics in particular fields and authors which are specific for them. The first chapter is an introduction to the issue and represents Fichte's concept of author. Next chapter introduces principles of hermeneutics and shows us the function of hermeneutic circle on the background of the text reading theory and understanding. In the third chapter are shown Roman Jakobson and Jan Mukařovský as representatives of structuralism. The first mentioned shows us a diagram of the speaker and the recipient, the second mentioned shows us on a principles of a poet. In the next chapter I introduce post- structuralism and deal with the development of terms like archive and discourse as well as the changing of the role of an author. The last chapter is focused on orality and narrative in the context of an author as a narrator. The world of fiction is also reflected.

This dissertation examines the early history of the Berliner Phonogramm-Archiv (Berlin Phonogram Archive) and its role in the institutionalization of comparative musicology. The Berliner Phonogramm-Archiv was established in 1900 by psychologist Carl Stumpf in order to collect and preserve the phonographic recordings of non-European musics that would serve as the primary research materials for the then nascent discipline of comparative musicology. I situate the formation of the Phonogramm-Archiv and the emergence of comparative musicology within the historical contexts of the German cultural sciences and colonialism, and argue that both archive and discipline were informed as much by this immediate intellectual and political background as they were by the arrival of sound recording technologies in Germany. I explore how the other cultural sciences, primarily anthropology and ethnology, served as a model for comparative musicology’s methodological and epistemological framework, as well as for the strategies employed for expanding the Phonogramm-Archiv’s collection. As a cultural science, comparative musicology was governed by the tenet of scientific objectivity, and in sound recording, Stumpf found a means with which it was possible to engage with non-European musics objectively. Yet the scientific method also required the comparison of many different examples in order to determine laws through induction, which necessitated the collection of recordings of as many different musics as possible. In this dissertation, I demonstrate how the Phonogramm-Archiv’s mission to amass recordings and the comparative musicological project these recordings facilitated were both enabled by and dependent on the German colonial apparatus.
