Automatización de una planta recuperadora de arena

Binda Forno, Stefano January 2011 (has links)

Bergström, Markus, Lindeman, Nils January 2015 (has links)
During the fall semester 2014 has a course called Examensarbete, BYGC14, been conducted by the authors of this report. The course is given at Karlstad University and is based on the students themselves to choose a problem to solve. Because this course is for structural engineers, the problem naturally treats a problem in the construction industry. In this thesis, we have chosen to construct and design a new arena that is supposed to be adjacent to today's existing Tingvallahallarna. In the current situation Karlstad IBF uses the largest arena in Tingvallahallarna but because they aim to step up to the top league, the requirements for the arena is going to be increased, which the current venue can´t live up to.The arena is primarily designed for floorball, information on requirements that Swedish Floorball Federation (SIBF) sets at venues in the highest league has therefore been gathered. These together with the demands from BBR have been the basis for the design of the arena. The aim of the thesis was to develop a proposal that can form the basis for future discussions on how the arena situation in Karlstad can be solved. The goal of this thesis has been to design and make calculations for the structure. The calculations are made by hand and according to the Eurocodes. The design is made of steel and the same construction techniques available in the current Tingvallahallarna are used to get the new arena to blend in with the existing structure. The arena has been designed to respect the existing buildings to architecturally blend in with the area. It also meets the requirements BBR and SIBF sets for arenas, while it has adapted to the demands and requirements of the municipality.Evacuation has been solved with fire escapes with special ledges which mean that people with disabilities also can safely evacuate through them. To make it easier for the disabled a lift is installed to take them to level two. The thesis is considered to have reached the set targets with respect to the design and construction calculations for the framework.

The use of simulation as a decision tool for improvements in sawmill manufacturing

Thoews, Steven Eric 05 1900 (has links)
A simulation study was used to analyze the flow of products though a sawmill in order to determine where productivity improvements could be made. The sawmill analyzed is located in the interior of British Columbia, and processes a variety of species and products. The mill was selected for this reason, as it was important to determine how a change in the process will affect the piece flow and production of the various species. A simulation model of the mill was developed using the Arena 8.0 discrete event simulation software developed by Rockwell Automation. Data consisting of mill layout and flow, breakdown patterns, machine process times and downtimes, conveyor speeds, and buffer capacities were collected from the sawmill. This information was used to layout the framework in a conceptual model. The conceptual model was then used to develop the simulation model in Arena. A face validity test, combined with comparisons of model output to actual mill output was used to determine the validity of the model. After running several different scenarios processing Larch, White pine, and Ponderosa pine, it was discovered that the trimmer was the system bottleneck when both the small log and large log lines were running throughout the shift. Running under base case conditions, the model predicted an average board output of 13,147 boards. An increase in the processing capability of the trimmer resulted in the bottleneck to shift to the edger from the small log line. The OptQuest Analyzer program bundled with the Arena software was used to further analyze the shift in bottleneck to the edger from the small log line. By allowing the program to manipulate machine settings for the trimmer and edger, it was able to maximize the average board output to 17,996 boards per shift when no edger set up times were considered. If the edger setup times are used, the average board output dropped to 16,708 boards per shift. These findings were presented to the sawmill management and based on the study, they proceeded to make improvements at the trimmer. The improvements resulted in an increase of 10% to sawmill output.

Šiaulių arenos įvaizdžio vertinimas / Assessment of Šiauliai Arena Image

Juknaitė, Gintarė 02 August 2011 (has links)
Bakalauro baigiamajame darbe nagrinėjama organizacijos įvaizdžio reikšmė, sampratos įvairovė, įvaizdžio formavimo ir vertinimo veiksniai. Teorinėje dalyje išsamiai aprašyti organizacijos vidiniai ir išoriniai įvaizdžio elementai, analizuojama mokslinė literatūra, kuria remiantis atliktas Šiaulių arenos įvaizdžio vertinimas pagal pasirinktus kriterijus. Empirinėje darbo dalyje pateikiami ir analizuojami atlikto tyrimo rezultatai. Kiekybinis tyrimas atliktas anketavimo metodu. / The Final Bachelor’s Degree Work analyses the importance of the image of an organisation, the variety of conception, factors for the image formation and assessment. Theoretical part describes internal and external elements of the image; scientific literature is analysed. Assessment of Šiauliai Arena image was performed on the base of the scientific literature and selected criteria. Empirical part of the Work presents and analyses results of the performed research. Quantitative research was performed using the questionnaire. 306 respondents participated in the survey: basketball fans, citizens of Šiauliai, students and employees; they had to assess elements of Šiauliai Arena image and define what is the most important in assessing the image of an organisation. The performed research suggests that Šiauliai Arena image is mainly affected by the price and quality of offered services as well as support; elements, which were assessed as the best are the accessibility of Arena, its visual image and staff.
