O estudo traz a reflexão sobre o assessoramento pedagógico como um processo de interação entre pares, proporcionando espaços formativos mais significativos no contexto universitário, visto que muitos docentes universitários ainda têm uma visão do ensinar como transmissão de conhecimentos somente. Para compreender melhor a realidade desta formação oferecida pelas iniciativas pesquisadas, escolhemos como participantes do estudo assessores pedagógicos dos espaços de formação existentes nas universidades estaduais paulistas, que foram o Centro de Estudos e Práticas Pedagógicas – CENEPP/UNESP, o Espaço de Apoio de Ensino e Aprendizagem – EA2/UNICAMP e o Grupo de Apoio Pedagógico (Ribeirão Preto) – GAPRP/USP. Estes participantes são docentes das referidas universidades que assumem a responsabilidade por organizarem e oferecerem a formação pedagógica aos demais docentes. A pesquisa enveredou pela abordagem qualitativa, focando seu olhar num estudo de caso múltiplo, porque a partir das similaridades entre os casos escolhidos, buscamos a identificação de suas singularidades. Os dados foram coletados por meio de análise documental, entrevistas semiestruturadas e observação participante de algumas inciativas de formação desses espaços. Os dados obtidos foram organizados em dimensões e analisados por meio da análise de conteúdo. Os resultados nos indicam que há muitos desafios relativos à formação pedagógica do docente universitário e que os espaços existentes ainda lutam para se tornarem lugares e territórios de formação. Há dificuldades institucionais e concepções que limitam o trabalho de formação pedagógica docente efetiva. As necessidades detectadas estão nas questões da institucionalização dos espaços, na formação dos assessores, nos formatos das propostas, na falta de valorização do profissional que assume tais assessorias. No entanto, há o reconhecimento do importante trabalho que já realizam, oferecendo formação àqueles que buscam aprimorar sua profissão docente, compreendendo a necessidade de ir além da transmissão no processo de ensino e aprendizagem. / This research intended to find that training concepts are present in university institutional spaces that affect training practices of pedagogical advisors, share responsibility for the pedagogical training process of university teachers and how these concepts contribute to the qualification of the place of formation of these teachers. The study brings a reflection on the pedagogical assistance as a peer interaction process, providing more significant formative spaces in the university context, since it is known that many academics still have a view of teaching as transmission of knowledge only. To better understand the reality of the training offered by the surveyed initiatives, chosen as the study participants pedagogical advisors spaces of formation of São Paulo state universities , which were the Center for Studies and Pedagogical Practices - CENEPP/UNESP, the Education Support Space and learning - EA2/UNICAMP and the Group of Educational Support (Ribeirão Preto) - GAPRP/USP. These participants are teachers of the said universities that take responsibility for organizing and offering teacher training to other teachers. The research was developed by the qualitative approach, focusing his gaze on a multiple case study, because from the similarities between the chosen cases, we seek to identify its singularities. The data were collected through documentary analysis, semi-structured interviews and participant observation of some initiatives of formation of these spaces. The materials were organized in dimensions and analyzed using content analysis. The results indicate that there are many challenges on the pedagogical training of university professors and the spaces are still struggling to become places and training areas. There are institutional difficulties and concepts that limit the effective teaching teacher training work. The identified needs are the issues of institutionalization of spaces, training of advisors in the proposed format, the lack of appreciation of the professional who takes such advisories. However, there is recognition of the important work they have carried out, providing training to those looking to improve their teaching profession, including the need to go beyond the transmission in the process of teaching and learning.

Métodos para seleção e avaliação de assessores sensoriais / Methods for selection and evaluation of sensory assessors

O presente trabalho apresenta proposições de métodos uni e multivariados para a avaliação do desempenho de assessores sensoriais. Desta forma, os objetivos desta tese são: (i) identificar os principais métodos utilizados para a seleção e classificação de assessores de painéis sensoriais; (ii) adaptar e testar métodos utilizados em outras áreas para a seleção e classificação de assessores sensoriais; (iii) propor métodos para a avaliação e desempenho de assessores sensoriais; (iv) validar os métodos propostos utilizando dados reais; e (v) comparar os métodos propostos com os métodos frequentemente utilizados na literatura. Os métodos desenvolvidos foram avaliados através da aplicação de um estudo de caso utilizando dados reais e comparados aos métodos utilizados na literatura. Os métodos propostos apresentam bom desempenho, atingindo os objetivos estabelecidos para o trabalho. Conclui-se que os métodos propostos foram capazes e eficientes na identificação de assessores sensoriais que não estão em consonância com os demais, sendo inovadores e inéditos na área da Sensometria. / This dissertation presents propositions of uni and multivariate methods for evaluating the performance of sensory assessors. There are five objectives: (i) identify methods most frequently used for selection and ranking of sensory assessors; (ii) adapt and propose methods used in other areas for the selection and ranking of sensory assessors; (iii) propose methods for evaluating the performance of sensory assessors; (iv) validate the methodological propositions using real life data; and (v) compare the proposed methods with those frequently used in literature. The Proposed methods were evaluated through a case study using real life data, and compared to methods available in literature. All propositions in this dissertation presented good performance, attending to the proposed objectives. We conclude that the proposed methods are suitable and allow identifying assessors according to their consensus with the rest of the panel, being innovative in the field of Sensometrics.

The goal of this study is to propose a concept of Assessment Centre as an effective recruitment tool for a personal banker in the financial institution. The theoretical part describes general process of a recruitment and a Assessment Centre method. The effectivity of this method is compared with other recruitment methods. It also depicts the objectives of the method and mentions utilized methods. Attention is paid to particular AC stages, from finding out demands and requirements of the Assessment Centre up to evaluation of the data, which had been obtained during AC. The aim of the practical part is to bring a concept of AC for a recruitment of a personal banker in particular financial institution and to assess whether the AC method is suitable for recruitment in that case, together with economic evaluation in comparison with classic recruitment method.

<p>This essay is about needs assessors within public elder care. The method is a quantitative vignette study. The aim of the study is to find out whether there is an existing consensus among the needs assessors when a relative to a client with reduced cognitive functions wants to make an application even though the client does not want to. We also wanted to find out whether there are any underlying circumstances which have influence on the needs assessors’ reactions to this specific situation. We used a questionnaire which consisted of four vignettes that illustrated a meeting between a needs assessor, a client and a relative to the client. The vignettes was complemented with questions that made it possible to find underlying circumstances that determine whether the needs assessors do accept the application from the clients relative. The result shows that professional experience and education is significant for whether the needs assessors choose to accept the application or not. It is also clear that there are variations depending on which town district the needs assessors work in. In some town district the needs assessors act with great similarity while there are huge differences in other town districts.</p>

Evaluation of Experiences from using CEEQUAL in Infrastructure Projects : A case study of the Crossrail programme and the Olympic Park

CEEQUAL is a British assessment and award scheme for improving sustainability in civil engineering and the public realm. The scheme was developed in 2003 and has gained recognition in the UK and Ireland. The interest in CEEQUAL is starting to spread to the rest of Europe and to the Swedish Transport Administration.   The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the scheme from the perspective of the experience of implementation using two case studies in the UK – a road project and a railway project. The road project is represented by a subordinated project within the Olympic Park, a development for the London 2012 Olympic Games. The railway project that is being studied is the Crossrail programme, a large railway project in London. The objectives for this thesis are to: Review experiences from CEEQUAL awarded projects and to evaluate what additional sustainability benefits the award has given infrastructure projects compared to using normal standards. Identify costs and resources required for a CEEQUAL Award. Identify if it is possible for clients to require the use of CEEQUAL and stipulate a certain rating. The results from the two case studies are analysed and applied on the Swedish Transport Administration, together with information about CEEQUAL and the definition on sustainable development. Some of the conclusions of this thesis are: That the effect CEEQUAL will have on a project’s sustainability performance depends on what the normal standards are as well as the client’s requirements. The CEEQUAL scheme provides structure for projects to work with environmental and social issues. CEEQUAL makes social issues more visible and creditable. There is need for something that complements CEEQUAL to be able to say anything about project’s environmental impact, for example EPD or Carbon foot printing. It is important that CEEQUAL is a part of the working process otherwise it will cost extra time and money to do the assessment. It is possible for clients to have CEEQUAL as one of the requirement within the procurement process. It is also possible to require that a project is delivered with a certain CEEQUAL rating. Finally, my recommendation to the Swedish Transport Administration is to use CEEQUAL and apply for the award for different representative project and implement the CEEQUAL-thinking in their normal standards for all projects. If they register certain selected projects they can meet the requirements from the government commission and this can also work as a way to calibrate how they are performing on environmental and social issues to the rest of the industry. CEEQUAL can also work as an environmental quality assurance in projects where EIA isn’t mandatory. / CEEQUAL syftar till att bedöma och ge utmärkelse för hur väl ett infrastruktur- eller anläggningsprojekt har arbetet med hållbarhetsfrågor. Systemet är utvecklat i England och lanserades kommersiellt 2003. Intresset för CEEQUAL börjar sprida sig till övriga av Europa och till Trafikverket. Denna uppsats utvärderar brittiska erfarenheter från att använda CEEQUAL. Studien bygger på två fallstudier – ett vägprojekt och ett järnvägsprojekt. Vägprojektet representeras av ett delprojekt inom utvecklingen av Olympic Park och järnvägsprojektet av Crossrail. Syftet med studien är att: Utvärdera erfarenheter av att använda CEEQUAL och identifiera vilka mervärden, utifrån hållbarhetsperspektivet, systemet ger mot normalt arbetssätt. Identifiera de kostnader och resurser som krävs för CEEQAUL. Identifiera om det är möjligt att ställa krav på CEEQUAL och ett speciellt betyg i upphandlingen av genomförandet av ett projekt. Resultatet av de två fallstudierna har analyserats och applicerats på Trafikverket. Även teori om hållbar utveckling och information om CEEQUAL har använts för att analysera resultaten. Slutsatser utifrån denna rapport är bland annat: Vilken effekt CEEQUAL har på ett projekts hantering av hållbarhetsfrågor beror på hur dessa frågor hanteras i normalt fall.  CEEQUAL ger projekt en struktur för att arbeta med ekologiska och sociala frågor. CEEQUAL skapar trovärdighet för arbete med sociala frågor. Det behövs något som kompletterar CEEQUAL för att kunna säga något om ett projekts påverkan på miljön. Det är viktigt att CEEQUAL är en del av arbetssättet, annars kommer bedömningen att kosta extra tid och pengar. Det är möjligt för en beställare att ställa krav på användning av CEEQUAL och ett speciellt betyg i upphandlingen. Avslutningsvis så är min rekommendation till Trafikverket att de använder CEEQUAL och ansöker om utmärkelse för vissa referensprojekt men implementerar CEEQUAL-tänkandet i alla projekt. Genom att registrera vissa projekt så kan Trafikverket möta de krav som regeringsuppdraget ställer. De kan också använda CEEQUAL-utmärkelser för att kalibrera sig då och då mot CEEQUAL för att se hur de förhåller sig mot ”best practice” inom branschen.  CEEQUAL kan också fungera som en kvalitetssäkrare av ekologiska och sociala frågor i de projekt som inte kräver MKB.

A critical analysis of the psycholegal assessment of suspected criminally incapacitated accused persons as regulated by the Criminal Procedure Act

This dissertation critically investigates the current framework for psycholegal assessment of accused persons who are suspected or alleged to have lacked criminal incapacity at the time of committing an offence. This system must function as effectively as possible to ensure the interests of justice and the community are best served. Issues that impact how effectively the criminal justice system collaborates with psychologists and psychiatrists, who act as expert forensic mental health assessors, are identified and recommendations are made accordingly. The study first examines the theoretical base regarding the terminology surrounding criminal capacity, mental illness and automatism, with regard to how the understanding of concepts differ in law and psychology and psychiatry and how this negatively affects the process of assessment. The study then investigates the constitutional rights of accused persons admitted for observation, the effect this has on the patient and legal process, the accuracy and reliability of the diagnosis and the admissibility of expert evidence. Next a comparative study is made utilising English Law as a tool for analysis. The main findings are that lack of understanding and clarity are the main issues that hinder the collaboration between the legal and mental health care professions and that this may be remedied by a system of registration and education for forensic psycholegal assessors.
