Diversas pesquisas têm gerado um arcabouço de conhecimentos e constituindo a chamada Metalexicografia Pedagógica. Nesse contexto, surgiram várias inovações, dentre as quais o dicionário semibilíngüe. Esse tipo de dicionário tem sido discutido internacionalmente, mas ainda não existe um consenso quanto à sua inserção na classificação tipológica geral. O presente trabalho, além de trazer uma seleção de recentes contribuições que associam o dicionário ao ensino de línguas estrangeiras, tem por principal objetivo apresentar uma proposta de inserção do dicionário semibilíngüe na tipologia de dicionários. Para isso, parte da verificação de três hipóteses: 1) trata-se de um novo tipo de dicionário, alternativo ao bilíngüe e ao monolíngüe; 2) trata-se de um sucedâneo do dicionário bilíngüe; 3) trata-se de um subtipo do dicionário bilíngüe. Percorrendo o caminho dos principais pesquisadores na área da Metalexicografia Pedagógica e analisando contrastivamente os dicionários bilíngüe e semibilíngüe, são reunidos subsídios que levam à conclusão de que o semibilíngüe é um subtipo do dicionário bilíngüe. O trabalho propõe, também, uma nova denominação para o dicionário semibilíngüe - dicionário bilíngüe pedagógico -, mostrando por que a atual terminologia não é a mais adequada. / From the second half of last century, there is an increasing effort in lexicographic projects to satisfy learners needs, notably foreign languages learners. In this context, several researches embody a new field of investigation that may be called Pedagogical Metalexicography. Among the pedagogical lexicographic innovations, the very first bilingual one seems to be the semi-bilingual dictionary. As the typological classification of this kind of dictionary is still under discussion, this work presents a proposal for it. Three hypothesis are verified: 1) semi-bilingual is a new type of dictionary, alternative to the bilingual and monolingual ones; 2) it is a substitute for the bilingual dictionary; 3) it is a subtype of bilingual dictionary. Following the path of the more representative researchers in Pedagogical Metalexicography, and contrasting bilingual dictionary with the semi-bilingual one, this work concludes that semi-bilingual is a subtype of the bilingual dictionary. They gained popularity in such fields as machine translation and cross-language information extraction. In this thesis we investigate the quality and content of bilingual English-Russian dictionaries generated from Wikipedia link structure. Wiki-dictionaries differ dramatically from the traditional dictionaries: the re- call of the basic terminology on Mueller's dictionary was 7.42%. Machine translation experiments with Wiki-dictionary incorporated into the training set resulted in the rather small, but statistically significant drop of the the quality of the translation compared to the experiment without Wiki-dictionary. We supposed that the main reason was domain difference between the dictio- nary and the corpus and got some evidence that on the test set collected from Wikipedia articles the model with incorporated dictionary performed better. This thesis seeks to describe the steps of the theoretical basis for the elaboration of a bilingual dictionary of Portuguese-German verbs, with Portuguese as the source language and German as the destination language. The more general objective is to present a set of principles that should guide the organization of a bilingual dictionary. The more specific objective, in turn, is to obtain a model for setting up a grammar dictionary of Portuguese-German verbs. The proposal is to organize a synchronic language dictionary and, hence, a dictionary of usage. This dictionary takes into account the relative frequency of the selected items and is preferentially a dictionary of lexical equivalence. A grammatical theory was chosen which allows for the prior description of the item – the verb – in the source language, seeking the corresponding constructions in the destination language – German. The nomenclature in this dictionary was organized according to the criterion of occurrences extracted from a corpus housed in the Laboratory of Lexicography at the Faculty of Sciences and Letters of UNESP at Araraquara, which currently (2009) contains two hundred million occurrences of words in texts written in Portuguese in Brazil. The descriptive schemes fit into a specific grammatical theory, i.e., verbal valency, which is thus responsible for the regularity of the organization of the entries.

This thesis deals with area of set phrasemes processing in dictionary, specifically processing of somatisms. The thesis consists of theoretical and practical part. The aim of theoretical part is phraseology in general, phrasemes (occasionally phraseologisms) and their application in Czech and German linguistics. Field of phrasemes like somatisms in order to language unit character is taken into account in the first section as well as dependence of phrasemes like their meaning explanation on the context in which they appear. Furthermore, there are listed and described main phrasemes characteristics which distinguish them from other language phenomenons. Conclusion of theoretical part analyzes area of corpus linguistics and its application based on corpus and co-occurrence analysis. Built on first part of thesis, practical part deals with processing of somatisms in bilingual dictionary particularly in lexicography point of view whereas proposal of specific solutions are given. As the attachment there are processed results of search into database input which may be considered as a part of bilingual dictionary. Cette étude est une approche des divers problèmes que soulève la traduction du figement. Elle se fond sur le cas concret de la traduction français-arabe en analysant un corpus bilingue constitué d’expressions figées en français (langue source) et de leur traduction en arabe (langue cible). Notre travail s’organise en deux parties : dans la première, nous étudions la notion de figement, les différentes structures qu’elle recouvre et la notion de traduction avec les concepts qui lui sont liés à travers les théories linguistiques et traductologiques du 20e siècle. Dans la deuxième partie, nous analysons notre corpus, d’abord pour vérifier qu’il représente bien la catégorie du figement, ensuite pour connaître les stratégies adoptées par le traducteur pour traduire les expressions figées. Le corpus est extrait à partir des articles français du Monde diplomatique et leur traduction en langue arabe dans le même journal / This study is an approach to various problems raised bu the translations of frozen expressions. It is founded on the specific case of the french-arabic translation by analyzing a bilingual corpus composed of idioms in French (source language) and their Arabic translation (targuet language). Our work is organized in two parts ; in the first we study the notion of rigidification and the various structures that it covers, and olso the notion of translation with related concepts through 20th century linguistic and translational theories. In the second part we analyze our corpus : first to make sure it really represents frozen expressions, then to know the strategies adopted by the translator to translate idioms. The corpus is extracted from the articles appeared in the French edition of the le Monde diplomatique and their translations into Arabic in the same newspaper

Esta tese investiga os termos gramaticais árabes pertencentes às classes do nome, do verbo e da partícula. Com o intuito de propor uma harmonização dos termos árabes em português, buscam-se encontrar termos equivalentes em ambos os idiomas, e, para isso, três possibilidades são levantadas: a) equivalência direta, quando os semas das definições terminológicas dos termos gramaticais árabe e português forem concordantes; b) equivalência aproximada, quando nem todos os semas forem concordantes, nesse caso, investigamos a descrição de uso de mais de um termo gramatical português na tentativa de encontrar um equivalente mais adequado para o termo árabe; c) não-equivalência, quando não for verificado equivalente em português para o termo gramatical árabe, então, propomos um neologismo terminológico ou uma paráfrase. O objetivo desta pesquisa é traçar bases teóricas e metodológicas para uma futura elaboração de um dicionário bilíngue (árabe-português) de termos gramaticais árabes. Apresentamos 15 termos teste, a fim de exemplificar os procedimentos metodológicos de análise delineados, até a redação do verbete final que formaria a macroestrutura do referido dicionário. Dos novos termos analisados, 9 pertencem à categoria do nome e 3 ligados à partícula. Como a classe verbal foi objeto de estudo do mestrado (CAFFARO, 2013), selecionamos apenas 3 termos para ilustrar os objetivos traçados na presente tese e, da mesma forma, redigimos os verbetes finais para os termos selecionados. / This thesis investigates the Arabic grammatical terms that belong to the classes of noun, verb and particle. In order to propose a harmonization of these Arabic terms in Portuguese, we have tried to find equivalent terms in both languages and for this, three different possibilities have been generated: a) direct equivalence, which occurs when the terminological definition characteristics of the Arabic and Portuguese grammatical terms were coincidental; b) very nearly equivalence, that happens when not every characteristics were coincidental, in this case, we have investigated the description of use of more than one Portuguese grammatical term as an attempt to find a most appropriate equivalent to the Arabic term; c) non-equivalence, when a Portuguese equivalent has not been verified for the Arabic grammatical term, so we propose a terminological neologism or a paraphrase. The aim of this research is to set up the theoretical and methodological basis for the elaboration of an Arabic grammatical terms bilingual dictionary (Arabic- Portuguese). We have presented 15 test terms, in order to exemplify the outlined methodological procedures, up to the final entry writing, which would be responsible for composing the macrostructure of the mentioned dictionary. Nine of the new analyzed terms belong to the category of noun and three of them are related to the particle. As the verb class has been studied in Master Degree (CAFFARO, 2013), we have selected just three terms to illustrate the objectives presented in this thesis, similarly, we have written the final entry to the selected terms.

Estudos sobre o léxico compreendem, além das palavras lexicais, as palavras gramaticais, as quais podem acarretar problemas à compreensão e à produção em língua estrangeira, sobretudo quando um aprendiz sofre interferências da língua materna. Especificamente no estudo da língua italiana em um contexto brasileiro, há palavras gramaticais semelhantes ao português, assim, recorrer à língua materna pode ser um auxílio e não um obstáculo ao desenvolvimento da língua-alvo. Por tal motivo, é preciso reconhecer a importância dos dicionários bilíngues, não como um recurso à tradução de unidades lexicais isoladas, mas como um material que possa facilitar a aproximação da nova língua ao aprendiz, não somente a partir dos equivalentes, mas, também, pela observação das unidades gramaticais contextualizadas. Sob a perspectiva da lexicografia pedagógica bilíngue, esta pesquisa tem o escopo de discutir o tratamento dos pronomes e adjetivos indefinidos do italiano e dos pronomes indefinidos do português brasileiro para avaliar seus equivalentes e propor um modelo de verbete na direção italiano-português, voltado ao aluno brasileiro de italiano como língua estrageira. Para que pudéssemos verificar a presença dos elementos fundamentais para composição de um verbete pedagógico bilíngue, selecionamos os indefinidos de gramáticas e dicionários das duas línguas. Para compor nosso modelo de verbete, foram extraídos contextos de uso dos jornais on-line Corriere della Sera e Repubblica, cuja linguagem jornalística vai ao encontro da nossa proposta, que é elaborar um verbete pedagógico bilíngue italiano-português usando contextos de uso da língua escrita na norma padrão. / Studies about lexicon include, besides lexical, grammatical words, which may cause problems to comprehension and to production in a foreign language, mainly when a learner is under mother tongue influence. Specifically in the study of the Italian language in a Brazilian context, there are grammatical words similar to the Portuguese words, thus, using the mother tongue may be helpful instead of an obstacle to the development of the target language. For that reason, it is necessary to recognize the importance of bilingual dictionaries not as a resource to translate isolated lexical unities, but as a material that should enable the learner to get closer to the new language, not only from the equivalents, but also from the approach between the two contextualized grammars. From a bilingual pedagogic lexicography perspective, this research comes within the scope of discussing the treatment of Italian indefinite pronouns and adjectives and of Brazilian Portuguese indefinite pronouns in order to evaluate their equivalent and to propose a model of entry in Italian-Portuguese direction, facing the Brazilian student of Italian as a foreign language. In order to check the presence of the fundamental elements for the composition of a bilingual pedagogic entry, we selected the indefinites of grammars and dictionaries of the two languages. With the aim of composing our entry model, we extracted use contexts from on-line newspapers Corriere della Sera and Repubblica, whose journalistic language meets our proposal, that is to prepare a pedagogic bilingual Portuguese-Italian entry with using contexts of written language in standard rules.
