Analýza komunikační strategie společnosti Red Bull ČR / Analysis of communication strategy of Red Bull Czech Republic

Syrovátková, Anežka January 2015 (has links)
In my thesis I focused on the analysis of communication strategy of Red Bull Czech Republic, specifically on advertising, communication at the point of sale, public relations and media communications, opinion leaders program, event marketing and digital communications. I started from global communication strategy represented by Red Bull Media House and I have examined, how this strategy is implemented at local level. For this analysis, it was also necessary to analyze market of energy drinks in the Czech Republic, as it stands under the category of soft drinks and what position takes Red Bull. Based on these analyzes, I evaluated pros, cons and suggested possible improvements.

Relativvärdering som investeringsstrategi inom olika branscher : En kvantitativ studie om vilka multiplar som presterar bäst i sex undersökta branscher på Stockholmsbörsen

Haeger Christiansson, Jacob, Hellqvist, Leo January 2020 (has links)
Abstract Background: The popularity of stocks in Sweden is high and with the prevailing low interest climate investors must invest in stocks to earn return on their investment. Achieving a higher return than the market has been a continuous struggle for professional as well as private investors. Having an investment strategy is of great importance because it helps the investor make rational decisions, avoid psychological traps, and prevents them from losing out on possible return. Investing in securities with different characteristics diversifies the portfolio and reduces the total risk taken. Therefore, an interest among investors in examining whether multiple valuation is a fitting investment strategy should exist. Further to examine if there are any multiples that are especially suited for specific branches. Purpose: The purpose of the study is to analyze which multiple of P/E, P/BV, EV/S and EV/EBITDA generates the highest risk-adjusted return through relative valuation within six branches on the Stockholm Stock Exchange. The study also aims to analyze whether high or low multiples generates the highest risk adjusted return in a Bull Market and try to explain why. Method: Too achieve the purpose, a quantitative study with an abductive approach has been used. An analysis of historical stock prices and multiples has been made. A total of 48 portfolios have been constructed including high respectively low P/E, P/BV, EV/S and EV/EBITDA multiples. The portfolios have been weighted on a yearly basis and afterwards compared with several risk-adjustment tools. The risk-adjusted return has thereafter been compared to a general index too make it possible to draw conclusions. Result: The result implies that it is statistically assured that investors can achieve a higher return than index by using multiple valuation as an investment strategy in four out of six examined branches. A difference in return among the branches and portfolios can be concluded and there were in total 18 out of 48 portfolios that showed a higher risk-adjusted return in which twelve were statistically assured. statistically assured higher return than the chosen index. Keywords: Multiple Valuation, Relative Valuation, Branches, P/E, P/BV, EV/S, EV/EBITDA, Stock Market Psychology, Bull Market.

THE BULL SHARK (CARCHARHINUS LEUCAS) AS A SENTINEL SPECIES FOR HARMFUL ALGAL BLOOM TOXINS IN THE INDIAN RIVER LAGOON, FLORIDA

Unknown Date (has links)
This study explored spatiotemporal patterns in movement, diet, and baseline phycotoxin concentrations in immature bull sharks (Carcharhinus leucas) of the Indian River Lagoon (IRL), an estuary of national significance that has been considerably impacted by multiple toxic harmful algal blooms (HABs). Long-term spatial use of the system was assessed for 29 acoustically tagged sharks over a 4 year period (2017–2020). Tissue samples for diet and toxin analysis were collected from a separate cohort of 50 individuals between 2018 and 2020. UPLC-MS/MS was used to screen tissues for 14 algal toxins. Young bull sharks were found to be mainly piscivorous and displayed high residency to the IRL as well as to specific regions of the IRL, with small activity spaces. Multiple phycotoxins were detected in screened tissues, indicating that young bull sharks in the IRL may be compromised by trophic transfer of HABs while they reside in this important nursery. / Includes bibliography. / Thesis (M.S.)--Florida Atlantic University, 2021. / FAU Electronic Theses and Dissertations Collection

Evaluation of Nguni bull semen-extended in tris egg yolk extender, soybean milk and coconut water based extenders and stored at different temperatures

Mayombo, Pie Veillard Kalonji 18 September 2017 (has links)
MSCAGR (Animal Science) / Department of Animal Science / In order to realize many of the potential advantages of AI, storage of semen is necessary. Semen storage is only possible using a system that decreases and/or halts the metabolic processes of the spermatozoa, allowing no significant loss of fertility. Numerous factors affect the success of spermatozoa storage. This study was designed to compare the effects of egg yolk, soybean milk and coconut water in Tris extender using different storage methods for Nguni bull spermatozoa storage. Bull semen was collected from two adult Nguni bulls approximately four years old and kept under similar managerial conditions. Using electro-ejaculator, semen was collected from each bull into a graduated semen collection tube. Macroscopically evaluation of the sample was performed immediately after collection. Only the semen free from contamination was processed. The kinetic properties namely: total spermatozoa motility, and progressive spermatozoa motility were analysed using CASA. Semen sample was stained and spermatozoa morphology and vitality also analysed using CASA. The extended semen was then split into three groups. The first group was stored at room temperature (25 °C). The second group was cooled to 4 °C and stored in the refrigerator. The third group was also cooled to 4 °C for 2 h in the refrigerator, then held in LN2 vapour 5 cm above the surface of LN2 at ~ -80 °C for 10 min and then plunged into LN2 for storage at -196 °C. Different colours of straws and plugging powder were used for identifying each extender. After 3 days of storage at room temperature, in the refrigerator and in LN2, the extended semen was split into three portions and assayed for kinetic properties using the first portion. The second portion was assayed for spermatozoa morphology and the third portion for spermatozoa vitality. The results from the fresh semen extended with all three extenders (TEYE, SBME and COWE), and analysed immediately after dilution at room temperature (25 ºC), showed no significant difference (P > 0.05) in the mean values of the kinetic and morphologic properties and viability, on spermatozoa TM, PM, AR, AT, CT; BT and LS. After three days of storage, there was no significant difference (P > 0.05) in the kinetic morphologic properties and viability of semen stored at room and refrigeration temperature regardless of the extender in use. There were, however, significant differences (P < 0.05) in the TM, PM, AR and DL of the frozen semen samples. For the short storage period of semen used for AI, from this study, it is recommended that semen should be kept at room or refrigeration temperature regardless of the three extenders used. However, for long storage of frozen semen TEYE is recommended. The egg yolk-based extender provided greater preservation of motility and bull spermatozoa integrity during the freezing process than did SBME and COWE.

Effect of the acidic buffer 2-(N-Morpholino) ethanesulfonic acid on frozen-thawed bull semen

Botha, Alma Ester 25 February 2010 (has links)
The aim of the current study was to determine if frozen-thawed bull semen can be treated with the acidic buffer MES (2-[N- morpholino] ethanesulfonic acid) without any detrimental effect on the motility, plasma membrane, acrosomal membrane and longevity of sperm. Frozen bull semen was obtained from a local co-operative. The semen was frozen in 0.25 mL French straws at a concentration of 80 x 106 sperm cells per millilitre. Semen of two different batches from ten bulls of four different breeds was used in this study. Three frozen semen straws of each batch were thawed at 38° C for 25 seconds. The thawed semen was pooled and then split into two aliquots. The one aliquot was used as control, whilst the other was exposed to MES treatment. The motility, plasma membrane integrity, acrosomal membrane integrity and longevity of sperm were evaluated. The effect of MES on motility was minimal as only the percentage of aberrantly motile sperm increased two hours after treatment. Although no effect on the plasma membranes were observed, it can be assumed that some damage did occur due to the fact that the acrosomal membranes were affected significantly. No significant effect was found for longevity of sperm between the control and treated samples, but a significant effect was found for both the control and treated samples over time. Although the detrimental effects caused by MES treatment would render some sperm unable to fertilise an oocyte, it is likely that a sufficient portion of sperm would survive the treatment. It is probable that this treatment would also be effective in frozen-thawed buffalo semen. The following step would be to treat semen of footand-mouth disease positive bulls with MES to establish if treatment with MES will be effective in inactivating foot-and-mouth disease virus in semen of infected bulls. Standardisering eller anpassning inom idrottsmarknadsföring : En observationsstudie kring vad som kommer till uttryck i reklamfilmer bland idrottsrelaterade bolag

Johansson, Robin, Dahlstrand, Kasper January 2021 (has links)

Total Domination Edge Critical Graphs with Total Domination Number Three and Many Dominating Pairs

Balbuena, Camino, Hansberg, Adriana, Haynes, Teresa W., Henning, Michael A. 24 September 2015 (has links)
A graph G is diameter-2-critical if its diameter is two and the deletion of any edge increases the diameter. Murty and Simon conjectured that the number of edges in a diameter-2-critical graph G of order n is at most ⌊n2/4⌋ and that the extremal graphs are the complete bipartite graphs K⌊n/2⌋,⌈n/2⌉. A graph is t-edge-critical, abbreviated 3tEC, if its total domination number is 3 and the addition of any edge decreases the total domination number. It is known that proving the Murty–Simon Conjecture is equivalent to proving that the number of edges in a 3tEC graph of order n is greater than ⌈n(n-2)/4⌉. We study a family F of 3tEC graphs of diameter 2 for which every pair of nonadjacent vertices dominates the graph. We show that the graphs in F are precisely the bull-free 3tEC graphs and that the number of edges in such graphs is at least ⌊(n2-4)/4⌋, proving the conjecture for this family. We characterize the extremal graphs, and conjecture that this improved bound is in fact a lower bound for all 3tEC graphs of diameter 2. Finally we slightly relax the requirement in the definition of F—instead of requiring that all pairs of nonadjacent vertices dominate to requiring that only most of these pairs dominate—and prove the Murty–Simon equivalent conjecture for these 3tEC graphs.

Natural law in American jurisprudence: Calder vs. Bull and Corfield v. Coryell and their progeny

Mock, Douglas S. 14 February 2018 (has links)
This dissertation seeks to answer the question of whether and to what extent principles of natural law have figured in Supreme Court jurisprudence in the last two centuries. In the last quarter-century, scholars and judicial analysts have displayed a renewed interest in natural law reasoning and whether justices do or should take cognizance of natural law considerations. The issue became prominent during the 1991 confirmation hearings of Clarence Thomas, who had written and spoken favorably of natural law as a guiding principle in constitutional adjudication. Two cases and their progeny figure herein. In Calder v. Bull (1798), Supreme Court Justices Samuel Chase and James Iredell discussed whether principles of natural justice placed limits on legislatures beyond which they could not go, or whether judges could rely only on specific constitutional restraints in evaluating legislative acts. In Corfield v. Coryell (1823), Justice Bushrod Washington explained that the Constitution’s Privileges and Immunities Clause protects those rights that are “fundamental,” and many subsequent commentators and courts have given this statement a natural rights gloss. This work contributes to existing Supreme Court literature by tracing the entire history of Calder and Corfield, the two cases most frequently cited for potentially having natural law implications. The paper considers each citation as it is relevant to the natural law debate; cases are excluded only because they are cited for another point. For example, cases that cite Calder for its holding that the Constitution’s Ex Post Facto clause only applies to criminal cases are not considered. The paper concludes that natural law considerations now figure in Supreme Court jurisprudence only in a mediated sense. While several Eighteenth and Nineteenth Century opinions, including Corfield itself, accept natural law principles as interpretative guides, natural law as a free-standing source of adjudication has faded from Supreme Court jurisprudence. Concomitantly, the Privileges and Immunities Clause as a source of rights has been largely discarded in favor of a substantive due-process jurisprudence, with the Court adopting a gradual, common-law type of approach in determining the constitutional limits of government interference with Americans’ rights.

Sale Price Relationships to Performance Characteristics and Genetic Merit in Beef Bulls Sold in Beef Cattle Improvement Sales and Tests in the Southeast USA From 1974 To 2011

Marks, Marty Landon 01 January 2012 (has links)
Herd sires are an important investment for beef cattle producers in the Southeast United States of America (USA). For producers, bull selection decisions are critical to introduce new and compatible genetics into their cow herd. The impact of bull selection affects the cow herd and many calf crops when heifers by these herd sires are retained for breeding replacements. The objective of this study was to determine the relationships over time between bull sale prices and individual performance and measures of genetic merit for bulls sold in the state of Alabama, Mississippi, and North Carolina. The study was conducted using data from Beef Cattle Improvement Association (BCIA) and Beef Cattle Improvement Program (BCIP) bull sales from 1974 to 2011. All sales maintained a core set of qualifications. These were used in a hedonic pricing model to analyze their impact on the actual sale price for each bull.
