A substituição do trabalho manual por mecânico viabiliza a eliminação do uso do fogo e deveria melhorar a qualidade de vida dos trabalhadores braçais, assim como também diminuir custos de produção e aumentar a produtividade. A pesquisa objetivou identificar a situação atual do estado de Alagoas em relação ao percentual de cana-de-açúcar colhida mecanicamente sem a queima da palha para áreas canavieiras com até 12% de declividade do solo. Foi aplicada a metodologia descritiva e exploratória, utilizando dados secundários e pesquisa documental. Os dados são referentes à área plantada, produção, produtividade, número de colhedoras e declividade do solo. O resultado encontrado da colheita da cana crua, sem a queima da palha foi de 10,7% do total da área canavieira na safra 2015/2016. O estado de Alagoas não apresenta grande possibilidade de atingir a meta de eliminação do uso do fogo, em área mecanizáveis, para o ano de 2018. / Federal Decree No. 2,661 of 1998 stipulated a 20-year term for the finalization of the use of fire in sugarcane, with 2018 as the end date. The replacement of manual labor by mechanics facilitates the elimination of the use of fire and should improve the quality of life of workers, as well as decrease production costs and increase productivity. The objective of this research was to identify the current situation on state of Alagoas in relation to the percentage of mechanically harvested sugarcane without straw burned out for sugarcane areas with up to 12% soil slope. The descriptive and exploratory methodology was applied, using secondary data and documentary research. The data refer to the planted area, production, productivity, number of harvesters and soil slope. The result of the cane harvest without straw burned out was 10,7% of the total sugarcane area in the 2015/2016 harvest. The state of Alagoas does not present a great possibility of reaching the goal of eliminating the use of fire, in mechanizable areas, for the year 2018. / 1582106

Planeringsverktyg : För att strukturera upp vardagen

Denna rapport ligger till grund för ett examensarbete för kandidatexamen, Teknisk design vid Luleå tekniska universitet. Projektet utfördes under tio veckor våren 2018 och omfattar 15 högskolepoäng. Det är ett utvecklingsprojekt av en egen idé.    Psykisk ohälsa bland unga har ökat markant under 10 år. Via ett pressmeddelande informerade Socialstyrelsen (2017) att ökningen för unga vuxna i åldern mellan 18–24 år är 70% mellan åren 2006–2016. Det väckte denna formulering: • Skulle en bättre planerad vardag kunna bidra till ökad upplevelse av välmående?  Projektet är ett eget uppdrag där ett koncept för ett planeringsverktyg har tagits fram. Målgrupp för projektet är unga personer mellan 20–30 år som varit utbrända. Målet är att ta fram ett planeringsverktyg som bidrar till att öka upplevelsen av välmående hos målgruppen. Syftet med projektet är att hjälpa unga personer som varit utbrända att planera och underlätta vardagen.   Tidigt i projektet upprättades en projektplan samt ett tidsschema för projektet. Teori om stress, mobilens påverkan och designaspekter samlades in till projektet genom böcker och artiklar. Projektet är baserat på processen Human centered design där användarens behov och förutsättningar är i fokus.   Information samlades in för att definiera användarnas behov och för att skapa förståelse kring situationen. Detta gjordes med en enkätundersökning samt med hjälp av intervjuer.   Därefter togs idéer fram med metoden brainstorming, detta gjordes tillsammans med fyra personer. Idéerna som tagits fram användes sedan tillsammans med metoden morfologisk matris där koncept framtogs. Tillsammans med fyra andra personer utfördes metoden morfologisk matris, detta resulterade i att tre koncept valdes att gå vidare med. Koncept Nyckelring, koncept Pärm och koncept Cirkel.   Prototyper av koncepten tillverkades och användes med metoden upplevelseprototypa, fyra användare testade koncepten och därefter valdes koncept Cirkel för vidare utveckling. Konceptets funktion samt design vidareutvecklades och resulterade i det slutliga konceptet Pocket time.  Pocket time är en portabel dagsplanerare som visualiserar dygnets 24 timmar. Användaren fyller själv i Pocket time med det som ska göras under dagen. Konceptet ger sedan en överblick på dagens planering samt vilken tid en aktivitet ska utföras och även beräknad tid en aktivitet tar. / This report is the result of a bachelor degree project at Luleå technical university. The project was ongoing during spring 2018, covering 10 weeks and is a development project built upon an own idea.  Mental health among youth has increased drastic between the years 2006 – 2016. In a press statement by the national board of health and welfare (2017), they presented news that people with psychosocial problems had increased by 70% in the in the range between 18-24 years old people. This information led to the idea, if the everyday planning was better, would it contribute to better well-being?  This project has been about developing a concept for a planning tool. The intended user group is people between 20 and 30 years old whose been burned out in the past. The goal was to develop a planning tool for people that has been burned out and increase the perception of well-being among the target group. The aim for the project is to help young persons that has been burned out to have a better life experience in everyday life by planning.   A timeframe and a project plan was set up early into the project. Information about the theory of stress, influence of cell phone use, and design aspects were collected through literature and articles. The project has followed the process of Human Centered Design.  Information was gathered to define user needs and to understand the context. This was done using surveys and interviews.   In the middle phase of the project ideas were generated by brainstorming session with four persons. The ideas were then put in use in the morphological chart method, resulting in concept generation. The morphological chart was performed together with four people and three concepts were developed named Nyckelring, Pärm and Cirkel.   The concepts were then developed into prototypes and tested with the users. Four users tested the concepts and thereafter concept Cirkel was chosen for development. The concept function and design were explored and resulted in the final concept Pocket Time. Pocket time is a portable day planner with overview over all 24 hours in a day. Pocket time can be filled in with everyday activity and the concept gives overview over day-planning and activities.

My Polish background and upbringing have had a profound influence on the way I look at architecture. Growing up I was always fascinated by the interplay of new things that were around me, dancing with the old objects and way of life that were still present. How can these two worlds co-exist? Does the rise of one signify the death of the other? My thesis project explores this dichotomy of old and new and how they interact with each other. The site is near Dupont Circle in Northwest Washington DC. I thought it beautifully poetic the idea of a homeless shelter rising above the ruins of a burned out church. A place for spiritual salvation would now morph into a haven for corporeal redemption. The transformation the space demanded was basically cosmetic; it would remain a place for human beings to rediscover themselves. The lingering eminence of the space made me fall in love with it, and the possibility of what it could become, of what it could turn into, drove my desire. / Master of Architecture

Title: The influence of volleyball on sports and after sports life of players Objectives: The aim of this work is to find out in a comprehensive way the extent to which players are affected by long-term performance in an active volleyball team, how it affects the psychosomatic state of players and the possible impact of the game on the life of the player even after their sports career. Methods: The thesis uses many-case exploratory studies with data collection through structured questionnaire forms and supplementary interviews. A total of 60 respondents participated in this qualitative research. The obtained data was examined by using the thematic analysis method. Tables and accompanying reports were used as an output form, formulating the researched phenomena and connecting the research with the theoretical part of the work. Results: The collected data emphasized the importance of respecting the personalities of the players in all aspects. They confirmed the importance of harmony between the physical and mental aspects of the approach to training and game, and thus emphasized the psychosomatic unity that must be respected by the coach if the goal is a top notch game of the team as a whole. Occupational wellbeing types in the health care industry in South Africa

Bibliography: pages 273-351 / The context of this research is the occupational wellbeing of employees in the healthcare industry in South Africa. The purpose of this study was to identify occupational wellbeing types that cluster as a result of variables (burnout, work engagement, workaholism and job satisfaction) which can be plotted on the circumplex model of wellbeing, and determining the extent of type differences in as far as it pertains to psychosocial antecedent variables (age, job demands, job resources and work-related sense of coherence), as well as positive and negative outcome variables (comprising organisational commitment and turnover intention). A quantitative survey was conducted on a convenience sample of healthcare workers (N = 461). The population consisted of predominately black African females, aged between 31 and 45 from the nursing profession. Cluster analysis using k-means found statistically significant support for three occupational wellbeing types, namely, Exhausted, Engaged and Burned-Out. Results from MANOVA revealed a difference between all occupational wellbeing types and the psychosocial antecedent variables of job demands, job resources and work-related sense of coherence. The occupational wellbeing types did not however differ, based on the age of the participants. Multinomial logistic regression analysis revealed that age was additionally not a significant predictor of the occupational wellbeing types, whilst Work-SoC predicted the engaged type, and job demands and job resources predicted the engaged and exhausted types in comparison to the burned-out type. Hierarchical moderated regression analysis concluded that each of the occupational wellbeing types played a significant role by moderating the relationship between the psychosocial antecedent variables of job resources and work-related sense of coherence, and the positive and negative outcomes of organisational commitment and turnover intention. Theoretically the study highlighted the importance of addressing the occupational wellbeing concerns and challenges faced by healthcare employees in South Africa face. The empirical value of the study was the identification of the occupational wellbeing types and a potential nomological net. The knowledge derived from the relationship between the variables may be valuable in informing a holistic affective wellbeing model which could direct practices within the healthcare industry in South Africa. / Die konteks van hierdie navorsing is die beroepswelstand van werknemers in die gesondheidsorgbedryf in Suid-Afrika. Die doel van hierdie studie was om tipes beroepsmatige welstand te identifiseer wat saamgevoeg word as gevolg van veranderlikes, naamlik uitbranding, werkbetrokkenheid, werksverslawing en werkstevredenheid wat op die sirkumpleksmodel van welstand geteken kan word, en om die omvang van tipe verskille in so ver aangesien dit betrekking het op psigososiale antesedente veranderlikes, naamlik ouderdom, werksvereistes, werksbronne en werkverwante samehang, sowel as positiewe en negatiewe uitkomsveranderlikes (wat organisatoriese toewyding en omsetintensiteit bevat).
