Konstrukční návrh uložení kabiny traktoru / Design of the Tractor's Cabin Suspension

Diploma thesis is devoted to tractor cabin's suspension. First part of the work consists of the overview of used suspension designs and their various modifications. Next, law requirements for roll-over protective structure are described. Subsequently, the suspension design for small-sized tractor is explored. Law compliance is revised via ROPS procedure simulation using finite element method. In the last part of the work, virtual prototype of agricultural tractor in Multi-body environment is built and it is used for studying the dynamic characteristics of proposed cabin suspension design.

The diploma thesis is focused on ventilation and simulation of heating in small transport aircraft EV-55 cabin. First part explains an impact of thermal environment on human health and describes restrictions and recommendations forced on inner aircraft environment. In the first part are also clarified conditions of comfortable environment and thermal comfort evaluation for passengers via PMV and PPD index. The second part contains results from simulation of aircraft cabin environment. Inlet ventilation airflow and cabin heating is simulated via simulation mean Theseus-FE 3.0. The simulation results are evaluated for thermal comfort degree and optimal cabin insulation with optimal temperature and volume flow rate of inlet air is specified.

Über den Life-Cycle eines Flugzeuges gesehen, fallen während der Nutzungsphase eines Flugzeuges mit 98% CO2 die meisten Emissionen an (Airbus Operations GmbH 2009). Dementsprechend stellt die Nutzungsphase den größten Hebel dar, um eine deutliche Senkung der Emissionen umzusetzen. site of the High Coast area. The area spans from Örnsköldsvik down to Härnösand. In this area, a hiking trail called The High Coast Trail extends through almost the entire World Heritage. The trail is 130 km long and is one of Sweden’s 14 signature trails. The environment along the trail varies a lot and shifts between deep forests, mountain tops, sandy beaches, steep cliffs, and green meadows. My work has been focused around the trail and the hiking possibilities. I started this project by analyzing and mapping the trail distances, the current amenities, and the nature to find suitable locations for my cabins. The mapping has been done by hiking the trail, meeting with people involved in the trail, as well as examining maps. Through my research and interviews, seven nature experiences were extracted. These were then paired with my seven chosen sites to shape the seven cabins. The cabins are designed to accommodate eight people and operate in the same way as the Norwegian DNT self-service cabins, requiring advance booking and a special key for access. Produced in local wood, the cabin elements are built in a factory located in the heart of the High Coast area. The materials are transported close to the site by helicopter or snowmobile and then assembled by hand. The cabins are anchored to the ground using one of three methods: on stilts attached to the mountain, floating on steel pontoons, or suspended from trees. The walls of the seven cabins are all constructed of the same system with stackable elements. The weight of the elements is limited to 45 kg and can be lifted by two workers and assembled by hand. 1.5 m or 2 m long wall elements are stacked and connected with wooden joints. The joints lock together without nails or screws and can be disassembled, moved, and stacked in new configurations, providing greater flexibility for future modifications.

The Control of Interior Cabin Noise Due to a Turbulent Boundary Layer Noise Excitation Using Smart Foam Elements

In this work, the potential for a smart foam actuator in controlling interior cabin noise due to a turbulent boundary layer excitation has been experimentally demonstrated. A smart foam actuator is a device comprised of sound absorbing foam with an embedded distributed piezoelectric layer (PVDF) designed to operate over a broad range of frequencies. The acoustic foam acts as a passive absorber and targets the high frequency content, while the PVDF serves as the active component and is used to overcome the limitations of the acoustic foam at low frequencies. The fuselage skin of an aircraft was represented by an experimental test panel in an anechoic box mounted to the side of a wind tunnel. The rig was used to simulate turbulent boundary layer noise transmission into and aircraft cabin. An active noise control (ANC) methodology was employed by covering the test panel with the smart foam actuators and driving them to generate a secondary sound field. This secondary sound field, when superimposed with the panel radiation, resulted in a reduction in overall sound in the anechoic box. An adaptive feedforward filtered-x Least-Mean-Squared (LMS) control algorithm was used to drive the smart foam actuators to reduce the sound pressure levels at an array of microphones. Accelerometers measured the response of the test panel and were used as the reference signal for the feedforward algorithm. A detailed summary of the smart foam actuator control performance is presented for two separate low speed wind tunnel facilities with speeds of Mach 0.1 and Mach 0.2 and a single high speed tunnel facility operating at Mach 0.8 and Mach 2.5. / Master of Science
