Framgångsfaktorer för att minska tvetydigheter vid kommunikation mellan systemutvecklingsavdelning, produktägare och redovisningsekonomer vid affärssystemförändringsprojekt : -En fallstudie inom Wint AB / Success Factors to Decrease Ambiguities in Communication Between the System Development Department, Product Owner and Accounting Economists in Enterprise System Change Projects : - A Case Study at Wint AB

Flyckt Riglert, Kimmie January 2021 (has links)

Aviation Discourses in News : The influence of the political climate on climate politics / Flygdiskurser i nyheterna : Det politiska klimatets påverkan på klimatpolitiken

Rahn, Jonathan January 2022 (has links)
Climate change must be considered one of the most critical issues of the coming decades that poten- tially poses foundational threats to human societies. Aviation has relatively little impact on green- house gas emissions globally, but this picture changes when focusing on emissions of rich industrial states. While being one of the foundations of the modern globalised world, present aviation growth trajectories are untenable. In this thesis, I investigated (a) how discourses about climate change are mediated, amplified and constructed by traditional mass media in Germany and (b) which de- bate configurations lead to political and civil society action on the issue. In particular, I highlighted the underlying ideological currents that influence how journalists discuss issues. This study uses a corpus-assisted approach to critical discourse studies, where statistical insights from large amounts of data are combined with a closer reading of text extracts. It is unique in its methodological breadth and the focus on a non-English-speaking country. The analysis is also angled differently compared to many previous studies insofar as I capture climate in relation to a different topic and not as the main issue. I reproduce previous findings of two periods of intense reporting on the issue with a period of disinterest in between and show that attitudes and ideologies of both the progressive and conservative media outlets have changed considerably over time. This change created a novel debate constellation that proved to be surprisingly robust in the woes of the coronavirus pandemic. Discus- sions moved from a dichotomy between effective climate and economic policy towards a narrative of economic transformation towards innovative industries and technologies. Meanwhile, there was also an increased focus on social consequences and questions of efficacy. The results expand on many of the earlier framing analyses and yield additional insight into effectively drafting and communicating climate policy to appeal to both progressive and conservative target groups. Creating climate poli- cies that are attractive to various strata in the population is essential to avoid polarised debates and assuage climate denialism, tendencies that can already be observed in a variety of countries.

For Future : A case study of a social movement's use of digital media for climate communication and transmedia storytelling

Johansson, Nellie January 2021 (has links)
How does the social movement Fridays For Future use digital media when communicating their stance on climate change? The study at hand employs qualitative interviews in order to discern how the organisation use digital media and external transmedia storytelling in their fight for climate preservation. Here, representatives of the organisation are interviewed about strategic decisions taken in regards to organisational digital media use. The collected data was categorized using qualitive content analysis. Additionally, a supplementary netnographic study is featured in which the campaign #Withdrawthecap is examined. The netnographic study resulted in a large amount of data, which was processed through a qualitive data analysis with the support of Gambarato's (2013) analytic considerations. This study unveils the prominence of transmedia mobilization. Furthermore, digital media are used to organize strikes and quickly respond to politicians' decisions regarding the climate issue. The #Withdrawthecap campaign uses most of the elements that defines transmedia storytelling which indicate that the narrative form is used to some extent to communicate climate change.

One Sound Bite at a Time: Examining the Discourse of the Representation of People Living with HIV/AIDS on an Entertainment-Education Drama RockPoint 256

Kawooya, Tina 05 April 2013 (has links)
The objective of this thesis is to examine the meaning of the language used in an Entertainment-Education (E-E) radio serial drama RockPoint 256 (RP256) and its representation of People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLHA) and HIV/AIDS. The theoretical framework that is used to guide this study is the Cultural Studies perspective. Using Cultural Studies is instrumental to a study such as this that looks to find the source of meaning in RP256’s discourse (Hall, 1993, 105). The methodological research design used is discourse analysis that examines the oral and written data of RP256. Discourse analysis “focuses on the way language is used, what it is used for, and the social context in which it is used” (Punch, 1998, 226). There were two types of discourse analyses used. Gee’s (1999) discourse analysis is used to analyse the linguistic nature of the texts at a micro level while, Fairclough’s (1989) discourse analysis is used to observe the overarching meaning of the discourse found in RP256 at the macro level. The analysis of the data indicates that the representation of PLHA is a product of the societal and cultural markers that are a result of ideological labels given to HIV/AIDS and PLHA. The study concludes that PLHA are ostracised, stigmatized, live in poverty and are mostly women. The societal and cultural markers indicate that HIV/AIDS is still viewed as a plague and as a result PLHA are often silenced, marginalized, and discriminated against in Uganda.

Slíž, Miroslav January 2017 (has links)
This diploma thesis presents the application of theoretical concepts of agenda- setting, media framing, public opinion, spiral of silence, social change communication and social marketing, including the specifics of public interest campaigns, on the example of research project "Changing the paradigm: Smoking in restaurants bothers people" which was conducted by the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University and research agency Ipsos, and following media campaign against smoking in restaurants. The concept of public opinion is introduced together with the theory of the spiral of silence. In addition, the thesis deals with the issue of influencing public opinion through the media, where theories of agenda setting and media framing are illustrated on examples connected to smoking ban in restaurants. Selected theoretical concepts are shown in a reflection of new media influence. Communication of social change is introduced together with social marketing theory and aspects of health communication. The specific process of social change is introduced from the perspective of issues management. There are two case studies describing the specific phases of the research project with the media campaign in the context of the presented theory. The importance and impact of the project on the public, media and...

Helton, Emma, Liljegren, Hanna January 2023 (has links)
Merger and Acquisition (M&A) is a widely adopted strategy in today's corporate landscape for acquiring a competitive edge. Despite its prevalence, M&As frequently encounter setbacks when the integration of existing IT systems is neglected. Therefore, undertaking a digital transformation becomes crucial to ensure the success of M&As. As a result of the merge, digital transformation brings about a significant shift in the way employees work, necessitating their acceptance and adaptation to the change for the transformation to be successful. This research investigates this phenomenon by conducting a case study on a recently merged organization consisting of five countries that employs digital transformation to create a cohesive work environment. From a leadership and communication perspective, this study explores soft factors that, in an early stage, can aggravate a digital transformation in a merged organization according to employees individual understanding and point of view. Specifically, the study identifies soft factors in the early stages that could aggravate the execution of the digital transformation and investigates how management and communication can address the soft factors. The study involved conducting 17 interviews with employees within the chosen organization. The data was analyzed using an analytical framework that was created by the authors called "Three Aspects During a Change Process at an Early Stage". The study identified 12 factors in the shape of soft values that could make the execution of the digital transformation more difficult and demonstrated that these factors can be addressed using the "Three Aspects During a Change Process at an Early Stage" analytical framework from a management and communication perspective.
