Faust, Don Juan et Don Quixotte ne sont que certains exemples de personnages qui sont devenus des présentations de l'individualité moderne dans la Littérature. À travers les siècles, des innombrables variations de ces mythes ont illustré les ouvrages de plusieurs écrivains, l'une des raisons qui a permis la propagation de ces figures littéraires. Donc, on a trouvé dans la Littérature Française, de manière plus spécifique sur l'ouvrage de l'écrivain Honoré de Balzac, des questions qui ne sont pas rapportés seulement au milieu social, mais aussi au niveau individuel, à la nature humaine. Dans ce sens, le personnage Don Juan Belvidéro, du récit « L'élixir de longue vie », devient une des variations les plus sataniques du mythe de Don Juan, puisque les attitudes egoïstes et ambicieuses du personnage permettent même sa propre chute. Raphaël de Valentin, protagoniste de La peau de chagrin, peut être la présentation de Faust, celui qui a fait le pacte avec Mephistópheles pour réussir le pouvoir. Toutefois, Raphaël n'est qu'un individu qui n'a rien atteint dans la vie et a eu la chance de posséder tout ce qu'il a toujours souhaité, par moyen d'un talisman magique, avec le seul désavantage de donner en retour ses journées de vie. Donc, on travaillera sur ces deux récits pour la vérification de ces personnages qui ont été construits sur les mythes de Faust et Don Juan et, pour cela, il faut rechercher certaines variations de ces figures dans l'histoire de la Littérature, pour introduire le travail. Travailler sur des thèmes modernes dans l'ouvrage de Balzac est aussi important, ainsi, à partir de travaux critiques dévéloppés par Ernest Curtius, Pierre Brunel et d'autres chercheurs de l'ouvrage littéraire de Balzac, on va approfondir le travail et dévélopper les... / A abordagem sobre os mitos da modernidade constitui uma temática muito abrangente nos Estudos Literários. Fausto, Don Juan e Dom Quixote são apenas alguns exemplos de personagens que se tornaram representações da individualidade moderna na Literatura. No decorrer dos séculos, inúmeras variações desses mitos ilustraram as obras de escritores diversos, um dos motivos que possibilitou a propagação dessas figuras. Assim, encontramos na Literatura Francesa, mais especificamente na obra do escritor Honoré de Balzac, questões relacionadas não apenas ao social, mas também ao individual, à natureza do homem. Nesse sentido, a personagem Don Juan Belvidéro, do conto L'elixir de longue vie, torna-se uma das variações mais satânicas do mito de Don Juan, uma vez que as atitudes egoístas e ambiciosas da personagem possibilitam até mesmo sua própria queda. Raphaël de Valentin, protagonista de La peau de chagrin, pode ser, então, a representação de Fausto, aquele que compactou com Mefistófeles em troca de poder. Todavia, Raphaël é apenas um indivíduo que não alcançou nada em vida e recebe a chance de possuir tudo o que sempre desejou, usando um talismã mágico, com a única desvantagem de dar em troca seus dias de vida. Logo, analisaremos essas duas narrativas para verificarmos a construção dessas personagens, que foram alicerçadas nos mitos de Fausto e Don Juan e, para isso, torna-se necessário resgatar algumas variações dessas figuras na história da literatura, para introduzir o trabalho. Discorrer a respeito desses temas modernos na obra de Balzac também é relevante, por esse motivo, a partir da fortuna crítica desenvolvida por Ernest Curtius, Pierre Brunel e outros pesquisadores da obra de Balzac, aprofundaremos nosso trabalho e desenvolveremos as temáticas relacionadas à religião, à modernidade e às relações de poder. Posteriormente, torna-se necessário analisar as narrativas pelas suas... / The approach to the myths of modernity is a very comprehensive theme in Literary Studies. Fausto, Don Juan and Don Quixote are just a few examples of characters who become literature's representations of modern individuality. Over the centuries, a lot of variations of these myths illustrated the works of several writers, one of the reasons that enabled the spread of these figures. So we find in French literature, specifically the work of Honoré de Balzac, issues related not only to social but also to the individual, the man's nature. This way, the character Don Juan Belvidero, the story L'Elixir de longue vie, becomes one of the most satanic variations of the myth of Don Juan, since the selfish and ambitious caracter's behavior motivate his fall . Valentin Raphaël, protagonist of La peau de chagrin, can be then the representation of Fausto, who allied with Mephistopheles in exchange for power. However, Raphael is just a guy who haven't anything in life and gets the chance to own everything he ever desired, using a magic talisman, and the only disadvantage is to give his life in exchanged. We will analyze these two narratives to verify the construction of these characters, both founded in the myth of Fausto and Don Juan and for this it's necessary to rescue some variations of these figures in literary history to this work. Discoursing about these modern themes in Balzac's work is important from the critical fortune developed by Ernest Curtius, Pierre Brunel and other researchers of the Balzac's liteture, to go deep in our work and to develop the themes related to religion, modernity and power relations. Later, wil be necessary to analyze the narratives by their spatial and narratological features, with the help of Michel Foucault and Gérard Genette, so we can also understand if the magical objects appereance in narratives are related to the introduction of modern myths. Neste processo de inflexão, poder-se-ia observar a demarcação definitiva da ruptura de Habermas com os fundamentos da teoria crítica da sociedade, presentes nos pensadores da primeira geração da Escola de Frankfurt; e, a adesão aos princípios e fundamentos do liberalismo, como forma de delinear e demarcar o processo de construção de uma teoria social, bem como de uma teoria da evolução social, particular e autônoma, posta nos marcos do elogio da sociedade capitalista. Tratar-se-ia da afirmação de um tipo particular de neocontratualismo com vista a salvação de um projeto de modernidade e de racionalidade completamente esgotados na e pela sociabilidade burguesa e que, portanto, só poderia se consubstanciar sob a forma e nos marcos da regressão cultural. Neste processo de inflexão, uma categoria advinda dos teóricos da primeira geração da Escola de Frankfurt tornara-se central na teoria social de Habermas, na medida em que a concepção de capitalismo de Estado adquirira centralidade nos seus mais diversos e contraditórios diagnósticos do tempo presente, de tal forma que se consubstanciaria sob a forma da concepção de capitalismo tardio e mediaria a passagem da centralidade da categoria trabalho, mesmo que inscrita na esfera lógica e gnosiológica-epistêmica, para a centralidade da categoria da política. Tal mudança radical de paradigma passou a influenciar progressivamente a nova teoria crítica, inaugurada com a segunda geração de Habermas, que pouco ou nada se identificara aos teóricos da primeira geração da Escola de Frankfurt. Assim sendo, o diagnóstico do tempo presente, exposto neste trabalho, fora o de que os trinta anos que separa Student und Politik de Theorie des Kommunikativen... / Objective is to demonstrate in this paper that there is a process of inflection in the work of Habermas, who is full-starts with your Student und Politik, 1961 and, inescapably, with his Theorie des Kommunikativen work of 1981 this process of inflection, power-would observe the final demarcation of the break with the foundations of Habermas critical theory of society, thinkers present in the first generation of the Frankfurt School; and adherence to the principles and foundations of liberalism as a way to delineate and demarcate the process of building a social theory and a theory of social evolution, private and autonomous, put milestones in praise of capitalist society. Would treat the claim of a particular type of neo-contractualism overlooking the salvation of a project of modernity and rationality completely exhausted and by the bourgeois sociability and, therefore, could only substantiate the form and within the framework of cultural regression . Para as elites cariocas, foi tempo onde vários projetos de modernidades se consolidaram em diferentes esferas da vida e muitos desses signos podem ser encontrados em periódicos de leitura rápida como as revistas da época. Dessa forma, através do método qualitativo este ensaio analisa a revista Illustração Brasileira, com ênfase nas edições de 1922 (ano das comemorações do centenário da independência do Brasil). Busca encontrar símbolos, identidades femininas e masculinas, hábitos, vícios, modos de vida e formas de transgressão que possam expressar as características das elites urbanas cariocas. Como leitura ideal ao dia a dia, a revista refletiu ideais necessários aos novos sujeitos modernos, com artigos de crítica ao patriarcado, reportagens sobre celebridades em Paris e as novidades de produtos da última moda em 1922, tal como cervejas escuras, claras, cigarros industrializados e roupas diferenciadas para homens e mulheres. Num momento onde existia todo um discurso médico e higienista, pautado em teorias eugênicas, degenerativas e alienistas de disciplinarização dos corpos e controle dos espaços como femininos ou masculinos houve uma situação conflituosa por parte dos anunciantes da revista que tiveram de relacionar principalmente o consumo da cerveja, o uso do cigarro e de outras drogas lícitas como a cocaína, o éter e o haxixe a espaços controlados pela sociabilidade, pela diversão e pela responsabilidade na moderação de seu consumo. / Abstract: The Belle Époque, a time of profound changes in Brazilian society. For Rio elites was time where multiple modernities projects were consolidated in different walks of life and many of these signs can be found in journals quick read as the magazines of the time. Thus, through the qualitative method this essay analyzes the Brazilian Illustrating magazine, focusing on issues from 1922 (the year of the celebrations of Brazil's independence centenary). Seeks to find symbols, male and female identities, habits, addictions, lifestyles and forms of transgression that can express the characteristics of Rio's urban elites. As ideal reading day by day, the magazine reflected ideals necessary to new modern subjects, with critical articles patriarchy, stories about celebrities in Paris and the news of the latest fashion products in 1922, such as dark beers, light, manufactured cigarettes and different clothes for men and women. At a time when there was all a doctor and hygienist discourse, based on eugenic theories, degenerative and psychiatrists of disciplining of bodies and control spaces as male or female there was a conflict situation by the magazine's advertisers they had to relate mainly beer consumption the use of cigarettes and other illicit drugs such as cocaine, ether and hashish to areas controlled by the sociability, the fun and responsibility in moderating their consumption. / Mestre

Paulo. Nossa proposta é investigar o jornalismo cultural - entendido enquanto instância de difusão e consagração, que atua nos mecanismos de criação de consensos sobre o valor da cultura e da arte -, intrigados pelo surgimento de um novo produto editorial e cujo nascimento propõe o resgate de um periódico lendário - Suplemento Literário - em um cenário aparentemente adverso a publicação realizadas sob seus moldes. Para tanto, dividimos nossa pesquisa em duas etapas: discussão teórica e análise do objeto. Iniciamos o trabalho abordando o desenvolvimento histórico dos sentidos de cultura e a combinação da mesma enquanto campo autônomo. Discorremos sobre o mecanismo de produção de valor da obra de arte e sobre a formação, estrutura e funcionamento do mercado de bens simbólicos, além de questões referentes à esfera cultural no contexto da pós-modernidade. Em seguida, relacionamos a prática jornalística observada no suplemento literário Sabático aos processos de configuração do campo cultural, buscando compor um conjunto de conceitos, práticas e dilemas a cerca do jornalismo cultural a fim de fundamentar uma proposta de análise do corpus desta pesquisa / This essay's purpose is to study the thematic and editorial universe from O Estado de S. Paulo literacy supplement, Sabático. Our purpose is to investigate cultural journalism - understood as an instance of propagation and dedication that operates on the gears of consenso's creation about the value of culture and art -, as we're intrigued by the appearance of a new editorial product which birth proposes the rescue of a legendary journal - Suplemento Literário - in a scene apparently unfavorable to publications of its form. Therefore, we divide our research in two: theoretical discussion an objects' analysis. We begin this work by approaching the historical development of the meanings of culture and its constitution as an independent field. We discourse about the mechanisms of value production of a work of art, and about the formation, structure and operation of the market of symbolic goods, and also about questions related to the cultural sphere in the context of Postmodernity. Next, we connect the journalistic practice observed in the literacy supplement Sabático with the cultural field's configuration processes, in a way to compose a series of concepts, practices and dilemmas about the cultural journalism, in order to justify the analysis' purpose of this essay

Encontram-se, no primeiro capítulo, comentários acerca da fortuna crítica já existente sobre os textos dramáticos da autora paulista, aproximando perspectivas e pareceres semelhantes a fim de estabelecer possíveis linhagens críticas. Já na segunda parte analisa-se a peça O novo sistema, buscando compreender como nela se representa o processo de instauração de um Estado de exceção e se problematiza a dialética entre barbárie e esclarecimento, sobretudo a partir dos paradigmas modernos da evolução científica e da razão instrumental. O trabalho segue com uma leitura interpretativa de As aves da noite, procurando captar sua atmosfera infernal, em diálogo intertextual com Dante Alighieri, para então aproximá-la de certas faces da modernidade, encontradas em estruturas sociais e administrativas pautadas no cerceamento da evolução espiritual. A última reflexão é sobre a peça A morte do patriarca, em que se busca indicar, sobretudo, a figuração do fim das utopias e a proposição de novas formas de narrar e de construir o discurso histórico. Ao longo da dissertação, persegue-se o constante diálogo de Hilda Hilst com um vasto arcabouço de discursos, autores e textos de vários gêneros e áreas do saber -, como literatura, ciência, pedagogia, filosofia e teatro -, configurando uma estrutura em mosaico, resultante do processo de bricolagem com o qual a escritora compõe as três peças aqui estudadas / Abstract: This dissertation presents an interpretive reading of part of Hilda Hilst's theater, written at the end of the 1960s. At its very first chapter one comes across with comments on the critical fortunes already found in her dramatic writings, comparing similar perspectives and concepts in order to establish possible critical affiliations. In its second part one analyzes the play O novo sistema, trying to understand in it how the process of instauration of a State is represented and how the dialectics between barbarism and enlightenment is questioned, mainly based on the modern paradigms of scientific evolution and instrumental reason. The dissertation continues with an interpretive reading of As aves da noite, trying to capture its infernal atmosphere, in an intertextual dialog with Dante Alighieri, comparing it to certain aspects of modernity, found in social and administrative structures organized into the restriction imposed on spiritual evolution. The last pondering is on the play A morte do patriarca, in which one tries mainly to point out the figuration of the end of utopias and the proposition of new ways of narrating and creating the historical discourse. Along the dissertation, one pursues the constant dialog held by Hilda Hilst with a wide framework of discourses, authors, and texts of various genres and fields of knowledge - such as literature, science, pedagogy, philosophy, and theater -, configuring a structure in mosaic, resulting from a bricolage process with which the playwright from São Paulo Satate writes the three plays focused here / Mestre
