Les enfants et la politique : contribution à l'étude des rapports ordinaires à la politique / Children and politics : a contribution to the study on ordinary relations to politics

Comment les enfants se représentent-ils l’univers politique spécialisé ? Cette thèse prend pour objet les connaissances, les croyances et les opinions politiques des enfants. Il s’agit, en s’intéressant à ce public spécifique, d’apporter une contribution à la littérature sur les rapports ordinaires à la politique. La thèse présente les résultats d’une enquête empirique alliant méthodes quantitatives et qualitatives, menée dans huit écoles primaires socialement diversifiées. Elle examine les éléments dont disposent les enfants pour appréhender l’univers politique et prête attention aux différences entre eux à ce sujet. Il s’agit notamment d’étudier la compétence politique des enquêtés, tant du point de vue de leurs connaissances politiques que de leur compétence statutaire. L’examen du poids de variables telles que l’âge, le genre ou le milieu social permet ainsi d’interroger la genèse des inégalités de politisation. Il s’agit également de mettre à jour les bricolages grâce auxquels les enfants parviennent, malgré leur compétence en général limitée, à donner du sens à l’univers politique, c’est-à-dire à le comprendre, le juger et s’y situer. La thèse étudie l’imbrication entre les dimensions cognitives et normatives de la socialisation politique : elle indique que les jugements de valeurs et les opinions sont intériorisés par les enfants sur le mode de l’évidence, à l’instar des connaissances factuelles. Elle montre ainsi que les rapports des individus à la politique découlent de la réappropriation des messages pluriels provenant de leur environnement. / How do children view the specialized political universe? This dissertation studies children’s political knowledge, beliefs and opinions. It aims, through the study of this specific population, to contribute to the literature on ordinary relations to politics. It presents the results of an empirical study which was led in eight socially-diverse schools and combines both quantitative and qualitative methods. The study investigates which elements are available to the children in order to understand the political universe, and it pays attention to the differences between them, in particular regarding their political competence. The examination of the impact of variables such as age, gender or social environment contributes to understanding the roots of the inequalities in politicization. The dissertation also looks at the way children manage, despite of their generally limited political competence, to make sense of the political universe, in other words to understand and judge it. It studies the intertwining between cognitive and normative dimensions of political socialization: it indicates that judgments and opinions are interiorized by children as if they were evident, just as if they were factual knowledge. It thus shows that individual relations to politics are built on the re-appropriation of the plural messages coming from the environment.

Examination of the Social Emotional Assessment Measure (SEAM) Parent-Toddler Interval

Parent-child relationships serve as the foundation for social emotional competence in young children. To support the healthy social emotional development of their children, parents may need to acquire information, resources, and skills through interventions that are based upon assessment of parent competence. This manuscript presents results from a study of parents of toddlers and the practitioners who serve them in a suburban area of the Pacific Northwest. The purpose of the study was to conduct initial psychometric studies on a curriculum-based tool, the Social Emotional Assessment Measure (SEAM), focused on improving parent-child interactions for parents of toddlers. Convergent validity and utility were investigated for the SEAM Parent-Toddler Interval. Findings suggest that the SEAM Parent-Toddler Interval is an appropriate tool that can identify the strengths and needs of parents and assist in designing quality interventions that might alter developmental trajectories, leading to improved family and child outcomes.

Tandhygienistens uppfattning gällande användandet av sin formella kompetens : En kvalitativ studie

<p>Syftet med studien var att belysa hur tandhygienisten uppfattar att den egna kompetensen används inom Folktandvården. Studien är kvalitativ och innefattas av intervjuer med tio legitimerade tandhygienister som är verksamma inom allmäntandvården. Intervjuerna har skett med hjälp av en intervjuguide. Intervjuerna spelades in på kasettband och varade i ca 10-20 minuter. Bearbetningen av intervjumaterialet har skett, gemensamt av de båda författarna och analyserades enligt en kvalitativ innehållsanalys. Resultatet av studien visar att majoriteten av intervjupersonerna uppfattar att deras kompetens utnyttjas till fullo. Uppfattningen av kompetensutnyttjandet är subjektiv och säger inget om hur kompetensutnyttjandet verkligen är. Trots att intervjupersonerna känner en tillfredställelse angående deras kompetensutnyttjande nämns en rad inre och yttre faktorer som visar på motsatsen, så som tandhygienistens egen inställning till hur kompetensen utnyttjas, drivkraften till vidare utveckling inom yrket, övriga personalens inställning till tandhygienistens kompetens, arbetsplatsmiljö och möjligheten till att själv kunna påverka sin arbetssituation. Studien visar också att tandhygienisterna uppfattar att tandhygienistyrket behöver tydliggöras mer och att tandläkarnas kännedom om tandhygienistens behörighet och kompetens behöver förbättras. Even though the participants felt a satisfaction regarding their competence use, a number of interior and exterior factors show the contrary, such as the own attitude towards how the competence is used, the motive to further development within the profession, the staffs attitude towards the dental hygienist competence, workenviroment and the ability to influence their own worksituation. The study also shows that the dental hygienist perceive that the dental hygienist profession needs to be clarified and the dentists knowledge about the qualification and competence of dental hygienists needs to be improved. Further research regarding the objective competence use needs to be done regarding the dental hygienist profession.</p>

The analysis were focused on and delimited by the following conceptions; information literacy, digital competence and the information search process. The sources of information has primarily been taken from the field of information literacy and statements from professionals in the fields of information literacy and education. The analysis concludes that you can find the fourth basic competence in the new curriculum for the subjects, Mathematics, Social science and Swedish.

Tyrimo objektas. 10 klasių mokinių socialinės kompetencijos ypatumai. Tyrimo tikslas. Atskleisti paauglių socialinės kompetencijos ypatumus. Tyrimo uždaviniai: 1. Įvertinti gimnazijų ir pagrindinių mokyklų 10 klasių mokinių socialinės kompetencijos lygį pagal mokyklos tipą. 2. Įvertinti gimnazijų ir pagrindinių mokyklų 10 klasių mokinių socialinės kompetencijos lygį lyties aspektu. Hipotezė: pagrindinių mokyklų 10 klasių mokinių socialinės kompetencijos lygis yra žemesnis nei gimnazijų 10 klasių mokinių. 1. Nustatyta, kad daugeliu tirtų aspektų, tokių kaip bendrojo pasitikėjimo savimi, atsparumo nesėkmėms ir kritikai, gebėjimo reikšti jausmus, nenuolaidumo, galėjimo pareikalauti ir nesijautimo kaltu gauti rezultatai statistiškai patikimai nesiskyrė (p>0,05). Gebėjimo paprašyti pagalbos atveju, gauti duomenys statistiškai patikimi (p<0,05). Todėl galime teigti, kad šiuo, gebėjimo paprašyti pagalbos atveju, socialinės kompetencijos lygis gimnazijų 10 klasių mokinių didesnis nei pagrindinių mokyklų 10 klasių mokinių. 2. Ištyrus gimnazijų ir pagrindinių mokyklų 10 klasių mokinių socialinės kompetencijos lygį lyties aspektu nustatyta, kad merginų ir vaikinų duomenys skyrėsi. Merginų bendrojo pasitikėjimo savimi atsparumo nesėkmėms ir kritikai, nenuolaidumo ir nesijautimo kaltomis gauti duomenys statistiškai patikimai nesiskyrė (p>0,05). Tačiau gebėjimo reikšti jausmus, gebėjimo paprašyti pagalbos ir galėjimo pareikalauti atvejais gauti rezultatai statistiškai patikimai skyrėsi... Investigate, based on type of school, primary school and gymnasium 10th grade student’s level of a social competence. 3. Compare, based on a gender, primary school and gymnasium 10th grade student’s level of a social competence. Hypothesis: 10th grade students in primary schools are less socially competent than 10th grade students in gymnasiums. Conclusions: 1. Research established that, social competence level of gymnasium students is not always higher than that of primary school students. In many cases results such as: general self-confidence, resistance to failures and criticism, ability to express feelings, uncompromising, the ability to request, feeling of not guilty, were statistically insignificant (p>0,05). Although, it is possible to state that in a situation when someone asks for a help, social competence level of a 10th grade student in a gymnasium is higher than that of a 10th grade student in a primary school. 2.
