Bernal Navarro, Juana Cristina 09 July 2010 (has links)

Perron-Nault, Sonny 12 1900 (has links)
This Master’s thesis deals with the creed found in 1 Corinthians 15:1-11: its origin, literary and historical contexts in I Corinthians as well as the theology and historical significance of its parts. It is focused primarily on identifying the boundaries of the creed in the pericope. A form criticism analysis leads to an argument for a long version of the creed which includes verses 3b-7 (but excluding v. 6b). Secondly, the question of Paul’s use of tradition is addressed as well as its contextualization in I Corinthians 15. On the one hand, it is argued that Paul received the creed from the Apostle Peter and James, the brother of Jesus, in Jerusalem around the year AD 36, and that the creed had been formed before that time. On the other hand, Paul uses it in 1 Corinthians 15 to oppose a Greek perspective on life after death, which viewed physical resurrection as absurd. In this perspective, resurrection meant a return to a body identical to the present body, which is mortal/corruptible and characterized by vice/sin. Thirdly, the creed is systematically analyzed on both the theological and historical levels. On the theological level, it will be demonstrated that the mystical union of Christians with Christ is presupposed and that the notion probably goes back to the tradition present in 1 Corinthians 11:23-25. Furthermore, Isaiah 53, Hosea 6:2 and Genesis 22:4 are presented as the primary texts used to develop this ancient tradition. Finally, it is argued that three founding events, namely, the death, the burial and the appearances of Christ, are to be considered historical. The author does not take a position on the historicity of the resurrection, considering that it is an explanatory fact and not an observed fact. This question would require another methodology which goes beyond the scope of this thesis.

In this context, the Korean Ebenezer Methodist Church every Sunday offered assistance to the population serving bread, coffee and milk, and chocolate milk in the region of Dom Pedro II Park. It was established the partnership for the creation of CMPR through the awakening of public power and the participation of the Korean Methodist Church through the Korean Cafe. It was fundamental the willingness of Bishops Nelson Campos Leite and Geoval Jacinto da Silva, both from the Third Ecclesiastical Region of the Methodist Church, who started the work using the institution of philanthropic nature of the Methodist Church, the AMAS Social Assistance Methodist Association. Thus, with headquarters in Bridge Pedroso and due to geographical proximity, the CMPR linked itself to the AMAS from the Methodist Cathedral of São Paulo, acting in three dimensions: (1) creation of Co-Existence House, (2) Sheltering in the winter period; (3) Creation of the Hostel. The Action Plan designed by CMPR that consolidated the creation of the Hostel, dates from the transition 1994/95 and it had as its basis the Social Creed, the Plan for the Life and Mission of the Methodist Church and the Action Plan forwarded to the City Hall, in the light of the social aspect of the Methodist movement from John Wesley, establishing that the overall goal of CMPR would be the redemption of the citizenship of the people who constitute the street people. In this dimension, the thesis is structured into five chapters, included field research that has been conducted with employees and former employees of CMPR, with the objective of gathering contents to analyse the pastoral actions of the CMPR from the perspective of religious praxis, considering the philosophical and educational.(AU) / A população em situação de rua é um fenômeno urbano, agravado na contemporaneidade por fatores de ordem social, econômica, cultural que agrupa pessoas independentemente da idade, etnia, grau de instrução e gênero, em situação de exclusão social, impedidos à renda e suprimento de suas necessidades vitais, culturais e sociais.

Arnecke, Jörn 21 September 2016 (has links)
Das Credo from the Deutsche Messe of Johann Nepomuk David is scrutinized with regard to his compositional technique. The analysis reveals a calculated musical structure. The conventions of counterpoint trap David in a time seemingly unbound. From the view of one of David’s 'student’s students' this is expressed as a bondage of a generation: those born around 1900 were robbed of a significant part of their creative lives due to dictatorship and war. But his concentration on traditional techniques imprisoned him within his own workmanship. David’s theoretical expertise thus hinders David’s compositional ability.
