Mängdavtagning är en process i byggprojekt som i stor utsträckning utförs med metoder baserade på 2D-ritningar. Studier visar att branschen efterfrågar digitala lösningar och BIM är en digital lösning som branschen tror på [1]. Det har visat sig att implementering av BIM som hjälpmedel för mängdavtagningar tar tid, vilket kan bero på ett antal faktorer:   De 3D-modeller som levereras idag är avsedda för att vara ett visualiseringshjälpmedel och kanske inte är fullt genomarbetade för att ligga till grund för mängdavtagningar. När BIM-modeller för mängdavtagningar efterfrågas som mest av byggentreprenörer, i anbudsskedet, finns inte alltid tillgång till den. Förändringsledning – Något projekt måste vara det första som tillämpar metoden. Programvaror är dyra och det är inte säkert att investeringen ger avkastning direkt. Vid intervju med mindre byggföretag beskrevs risken med att vara först med att implementera ett arbetssätt eller teknik som inte blir anammat av de marknadsledande företagen.   Genom att nyttja digitala hjälpmedel för mängdavtagningsprocessen visade det sig att det finns möjlighet att spara tid och arbete på flera håll i byggprocessen. Tid som istället kan läggas på att planera projektet bättre, upphandla bättre leverantörer eller att dra ner på onödiga tjänster. På så vis kan mängdavtagning genom BIM vara ett sätt att bidra till en mer hållbar bransch- både ekonomiskt och ekologiskt. Det visade sig vid jämförande av mängdavtagning med hjälp av Bidcon BIM och Bluebeam, att differensen i mängd för hela referensprojektet var under 1%. / Quantity takeoff is a process in construction projects that is to a great extent performed using traditional methods. Studies show that the industry is in demand for digital solutions and BIM is a digital solution that the industry believes in [1]. It has been found that the implementation of BIM as a tool for quantity takeoffs takes time, which may be due to several reasons:   The 3D models that are delivered today are intended to be a visualization aid and may not be adequate to be used as a quantity takeoff model. When BIM quantity takeoff models are most demanded by constructions companies, it’s not always available. Thought leader – Some project must be the first to apply the method. Software licenses are expensive, and the investment may not yield returns directly. In the interviews with smaller construction companies, the risk of being the first to implement a way of working or technology that is not adopted by the market leaders was described.   By using digital tools for quantity takeoffs there is an opportunity to save time and reduce work in several parts of the construction process. Time that can be spent on project planning, procurement of better suppliers or cutting down on unnecessary services. In this way, quantity takeoff by BIM can be a way of contributing to a more sustainable industry- both economically and ecologically. When comparing quantity takeoff from Bidcon BIM and Bluebeam, it was shown that the difference in quantity was for the entire reference project below 1%.

Its goal is to explore and compare this difficult process in two countries - Czech and Slovak Republic. For detailed results of this comparison there will also be analysis of two digital sport channels - ČT4 Sport and Trojka - in my diploma thesis. Both channels belong to public broadcasters. This diploma thesis intends to notice, describe and explain all differences found throughout the analysis.

This study has been as a diploma project at BUT. Theoretical part describes the most used methods in Reverse engineering and Rapid Prototyping. Each method describes its characteristics, usability and pros and cons in general. Practical part of this study deals with application of these methods. Goal of this work has been to obtain a digital model of a winker from Škoda 1000 car using optical scanner ATOS, making a new master model in CATIA software, analyzing its dimensions compared to the scanned model and choosing a suitable manufacturing technology with emphasis on functional properties of this component.

Geometrically Adaptive Milling of Fan Blade Assembly Weld Fillets

<p>Modern aeroengine design focuses on reducing overall weight and improving component service life. For fan blade assemblies, the blades and hub/shaft are attached by the most common dovetail (or fir tree) attachment design, which experiences fretting fatigue at the joint resulting in lower reliability and higher repair difficulty. A new joining design that connects blade /disk by welding and eliminates the attachment, has been implemented in military and commercial aeroengines. This joining design is most suitable for large diameter fan blades where single piece machining is impractical and time consuming. The joined blade requires post-process machining to remove excess weld material. However, because of varying assembly geometry, joints must be individually measured and tool paths consequently adjusted to match actual surface locations. The objective of this thesis is to develop an automated and geometrically adaptive post-process weld machining system.</p> <p>This thesis proposes a solution that integrates surface digitization, computer aided design (CAD) and computer aided manufacturing (CAM) systems, to accommodate the part-to-part variation issue. The integrated system includes precise laser digitizing, geometric modelling, tool path customizing, coordinate registration and CNC machining. The core algorithm was designed on the open and object-oriented C++ ACIS/HOOPS kernel. The customized tool paths are prepared based on the misalignment distance measured by laser digitizing, and a custom developed mathematical correction algorithm that can be implemented on a typical personal computer. At present, the machining process is designed for a three-axis machine tool. Suggested future works include implementation on a five-axis machine, and feed rate optimized tool paths.</p> / Master of Applied Science (MASc)

<p>Denna rapport handlar om att ta fram ett OCR-verktyg för digitalisering av pappersdokument. Krav på detta verktyg är att bland annat det ska vara kompatibelt med Linux, det ska kunna ta kommandon via kommandoprompt och dessutom ska det kunna hantera skandinaviska tecken.</p><p>Tolv OCR-verktyg granskades, sedan valdes tre verktyg ut; Ocrad, Tesseract och OCR Shop XTR. För att testa dessa scannades två dokument in och digitaliserades i varje verktyg.</p><p>Resultatet av testerna är att Tesseract är de verktyget som är mest precist och Ocrad är det verktyget som är snabbast. OCR Shop XTR visar på sämst resultat både i tidtagning och i antal korrekta ord.</p> / <p>This report is about finding OCR software for digitizing paper documents. Requirements were to include those which were compatible with Linux, being able to run commands via the command line and also being able to handle the Scandinavian characters.</p><p>Twelve OCR softwares were reviewed, and three softwares were chosen; Ocrad, Tesseract and OCR Shop XTR. To test these, two document were scanned and digitized in each tool.</p><p>The results of the tests are that Tesseract is the tool which is the most precise and Ocrad is the tool which is the fastest. OCR Shop XTR shows the worst results both in timing and number of correct words.</p>
