Esta dissertação constitui uma reflexão sobre a situação social, política e cultural da Inglaterra na década de 70, especialmente nos anos de 1972 e 1973, como descrita no romance Serena, de Ian McEwan. O objetivo principal desta pesquisa é apresentar como o momento histórico supracitado é narrado no discurso ficcional, a partir da perspectiva da personagem Serena, em comparação com o discurso histórico, de acordo com fontes selecionadas, que narram a história da Inglaterra no contexto da Guerra Fria, dos ataques terroristas do IRA e do funcionamento do Serviço Secreto doméstico inglês, chamado MI5. / This dissertation constitutes a reflection about the social, political and cultural situation of England in the 70s, especially in the years of 1972 and 1973, as described in the novel Sweet Tooth, by Ian McEwan. The main objective of this research is to present how the historical moment mentioned above is narrated in the fictional discourse, from the perspective of the character, in comparison with the historical discourse and from a selection of sources, which narrate the history of England in the context of the Cold War, the terrorist attacks of the IRA and the functioning of the English domestic Secret Service, called MI5.

A dissertação versa sobre a escrita da história em Sílvio Romero, tendo por objetivo analisar sua inserção em uma experiência historiográfica oitocentista. Tentou-se reconstituir algumas bases epistemológicas e temáticas que configurariam um espaço de trabalho obrigatório, formado dentro de uma ordem imperial, com o qual Romero dialoga. A partir de uma seleção de seus textos, produzidos entre as décadas de 1870 e 1890, procurou-se perceber as linhas de continuidade e as rupturas por ele instauradas, tanto no nível da formalização da prática historiográfica e do perfil do historiador, como na elaboração de uma identidade narrativa para a nação. Remodelando alguns preceitos ritualísticos da escrita da história (a afetividade, a cientificidade e a utilidade) e conferindo um outro sentido à rede interpretativa herdada pela tradição imperial, Romero pôde formular uma releitura do passado nacional, concentrando nos conceitos de “povo” e “mestiço” uma nova carga semântica, em conformidade com as expectativas que visava efetivar. / The objective of this work is to analyze how the national historian’s authorial figure was established in the historiographical practice of the 19th century. Based on Foucault’s considerations on coercion mechanisms in generating discourses, among which can be pointed out the restriction of the enunciating subjects in the writing ritualization, the purpose is to delimitate the characteristic gestures that legitimated and outlined the national historian’s profile. Three basic characteristics that qualified the historiographical production are highlighted here: the patriotic sincerity, the scientificity and the pragmatic dimension of the product. These characteristics reveal the doubles in relation to which the historian’s profile was outlined: the poet, the naturalist traveler and the publicist-strategist.

Esse trabalho trata do discurso da modernidade no projeto editorial da Revista do Globo entre os anos de 1929 e 1935, através da análise de seus artigos e reportagens, instituindo novos modos de viver e pensar a cidade. A análise do projeto editorial permitiu examinar essa prática discursiva no contexto de transição da ordem oligárquica para a nova ordem burguesa. Na medida em que essa transição ocorreu na República Velha (1889-1930), novos grupos sociais precisaram ser incorporados política, econômica, social e ideologicamente e a Revista do Globo surge como um produto dessa conjuntura, legitimando-se como um veículo informativo moderno que instaurou a experiência da modernidade, apontando para os novos horizontes burgueses. A hipótese central desse trabalho é de que a Revista do Globo no Rio Grande do Sul, possuiu um papel aglutinador desta nova mentalidade moderna que passou a consolidar-se a partir da transição das ordens na República Velha. Sendo um dos primeiros agentes culturais na região, a revista incorporou elementos diversos que a tornaram popular entre o público leitor, através de um projeto editorial voltado para a padronização cultural e para a instauração da modernidade, a qual se deu pelo discurso e pela prática, cujo processo de reestruturação e urbanização da cidade constituíram uma nova dimensão aos modos de viver e pensar a sociedade urbano-industrial. Confirmando seu caráter aglutinador, produzindo um discurso voltado para a construção de um novo imaginário burguês, a Revista do Globo instituiu em suas páginas a intersecção de pontos importantes: o discurso político, a transformação social com a remodelação urbana e a tecnologia como responsáveis pela experiência da modernidade em Porto Alegre. / This work deals with the modernity speech of the Revista do Globo editorial between years 1929 and 1935, through the analysis of its articles and reportages, instituting new ways of living and thinking the city. The editorial project analysis allowed the examination of this discursive practice in the transition context from the oligarchic order to the new bourgeois order. In the progress this transition occurred in the Old Republic (1889-1930), new social groups needed to be incorporated politic, economical, social and ideologically and the Revista do Globo arises as a product of this conjuncture, legitimating itself as a modern informative vehicle that stated the modernity experience, pointing to the new bourgeois horizons. The central hypothesis of this work is that the Revista do Globo in the Rio Grande do Sul has a combination role of this new modern understanding that started to consolidate itself from the Old Republic orders transition. Being one of the first cultural agents in the region, the magazine incorporated diverse elements that made it popular among the readers, through an editorial project oriented to the cultural standardization and to the modernity instauration, that occurred by the speech and by the practice, whose city re-structuralization and reurbanization process constituted a new dimension to the thinking and living ways the urbanindustrial society. Confirming its combination role, producing a speech oriented to the building of a new burgeois imaginary, the Revista do Globo instituted in its pages the intersection of important points: the politic speech, the social transformation with the urban remodelation and the technology as the responsibles for the modernity experience in Porto Alegre.

El presente trabajo abunda más profundamente en la lectura dialógica de la obra de Unamuno Niebla, con respecto al tema de la inmortalidad del alma. Su objetivo es indagar a qué significados conlleva la aplicación del concepto del dialogismo de Bajtín y sus dimensiones intertextuales, a la voz polifónica de la novela y en particular a la doble voz de su personaje, Augusto Pérez. La lectura dialógica de la obra hace referencia al discurso histórico religioso del Catecismo Romano de la Iglesia Católica basada en la época unamuniana, en particular sus doctrinas de salvación y predestinación. Esta referencia intertextual enriquece la lectura de la obra resaltando el significado de la vida y la muerte.

L‟objectif de ce mémoire est de comprendre la possibilité et les développements de ce dont nous percevons comme une forme différente d‟aborder l‟histoire, celle qui privilégie la catégorie d‟événement dans sa composition. Pour soutenir cette idée, nous avons choisi de vérifier son opérabilité à travers l‟oeuvre de Michel Foucault en partant d‟une lecture qui rend explicites les relations entre les domaines du discursif et du non-discursif pour faire état des modifications acquises par son « événementialisation » de l‟histoire. Nous prétendons donc analyser une spécificité qui résulte de cette construction théorique qui vise à réaliser une histoire du présent : la configuration du pouvoir pastoral à partir de la problématique de sa conduction et sa relation avec le diagnostic foucaldien de l‟insurrection iranienne de 1979. / O objetivo deste trabalho é compreender a possibilidade e os desdobramentos do que percebemos como uma forma diferente de abordagem da história, que privilegia a categoria de acontecimento em sua composição. Para tal, escolhemos verificar sua operacionalidade através da obra de Michel Foucault partindo de uma leitura que explicita as relações entre os domínios do discursivo e do não-discursivo para dar conta das modificações trazidas por sua acontecimentalização da história. Pretendemos, desta maneira, analisar uma especificidade decorrente desta construção teórica que visa realizar uma história do presente: a configuração do poder pastoral a partir da problemática da condução e sua relação com o diagnóstico foucaultiano da Insurreição Iraniana de 1979. / The aim of this thesis is to understand the possibility and developments of what we perceive as a differentway of approaching history, one that gives privilege to the category of event in its composition. To achieve this, we have chosen to check its operational plausibility in the work of Michel Foucault based on a reading that makes explicit the relations between the domains of the discursive and the non-discursive. Our objective is to give an account of the modifications brought out by his eventalization of history. We thus aim to analyse a specific result stemming from the theoretical construction whose purpose is to accomplish a history of the present: the configuration of pastoral power as based on the problematic of its conduction and its relation to the Foucauldian diagnosis of the Iranian Insurrection of 1979.
