KLEIN, Susanne January 2017 (has links)
At the Westsächsische Hochschule Zwickau, the trinational master program Regional and Eu-ropean Project Management was successfully established in cooperation with the Université de Bretagne Sud (France) and the Jihočeská Univerzita v Českých Budějovi?cích (Czech Re-public). The cooperation of all partners started in 2012. The international project group com-municated primarily via e-mail. With the start of the project in 2012 all data of e-mail commu-nication of the cooperation partners was stored. This collection of e-mails is an authentic and also specific communication material representing a successful project. It is specific for the reason that it is a multilingual communication on the one hand; on the other hand, the data backup over several years provides the possibility to analyze the communications in their de-velopment and sequentiality. With this material, a central topic of project management can be investigated: the project communication. In project management it has been documented sev-eral times that project communication plays a key role in the project's success. On the basis of the complex material described above, I will examine in this analysis the following question: What makes multilingual and intercultural project communication by e-mail successful? After embedding the research subject into the theoretical context, the project work and project control are analyzed in the context of a qualitative analysis. Based on eleven, primarily induc-tive developed analysis categories; four success-promising features can be worked out. These are the combination of e-mail communication with other forms of communication; the prac-ticed multilingualism; the developed group-identity and the changing leadership responsibility within the project group.

No. of bitstreams: 1 PDF - Kalina de França Oliveira.pdf: 22852474 bytes, checksum: cf57da80b39d1cbeca43745422ee03d2 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2015-08-20 / There is a vast amount of criticism relating the teaching of the Portuguese Language (PL) and the methodology used by some teachers nowadays. Taking this into consideration, there appear in the classrooms some media tools to serve as pedagogic resources so that such scenery is reconstructed and the taste for textual production is activated. Students write and read a lot in digital media but almost nothing is produced in the classroom. So, what is one to say when He/she faces this problem? How to insert good PL lessons in the cyberspace, better saying, How to introduce the cyberspace into the PL classes? Based on this, this study aims at presenting the genre E-mail as a proposal of making use of the due digital technology which comes to contribute with text production in PL classes. The methodology to be used is both bibliographical and field research, under a quantitative and qualitative approach, to be executed by means of the application of questionnaires and the surveying of the corpus for data analysis. For the collection of the corpus, the adopted methodological procedure in the research-action will be the development of following classes for the production of E-mails among sixteen students of the 8th degree of a state school in Paraíba. Based on the collected data, the characteristics of these digital writings will be established with the objective of understanding why it is so frequently used. The research is based on the conception of language as a process of interaction and on the studies by Belloni (2005), Coscarelli (2006), Gabriel (2013), Geraldi (2010), Gomes (2010, 2011), Köch & Elias (2012), Lévy (1999), Marcuschi (2008, 2010a; 2010b; 2011), Paiva (2010), Rangel & Freire (2012), Silva (2004; 2011) and Xavier (2011), among others, in what concerns the cyberspace and the cyberculture, digital genres, virtual textual production, the categories of writing, the use of technologies in school and the influence of the media in the PL classes.

Tillgänglighet via jobbmail utanför arbetstid och upplevd stress / Availability through work e-mail outside of working hours in relation to perceived stress

Sjögren, Elina, Scholander, Anna, Wessel, Madeleine January 2018 (has links)
Availability through work e-mail outside of working hours in relation to perceived stress has got more attention in the media during the last few years. Previous studies about the topic has shown contradictable results. The purpose of this essay was to investigate if the perceived stress-level among employees could be explained by the availability through e-mail outside of working hours. The study was conducted among workers in the southern and middle part of Sweden with different occupations. There were 61 participants, 23 males and 38 females. To measure stress-level Perceived Stress Scale 10 (PSS-10) was used. The participants were also asked to answer demographic questions, working hours per week and availability outside of working hours. The results did not show any statistically significant relationship between the amount of availability through e-mail outside of working hours and perceived stress-level among the participants. However, we did find a significant negative trend between age and perceived stress, where the perceived stress level decreased with increased age.
