Adriaanse, J. L. 30 November 2007 (has links)
This research aims to attain insight into the role a person's processing style (process) have on decision-making from a career developmental and gestalt perspective because it appears as if the adolescent's proses with regard to career choice is not being acknowledged. Semi-structured interviews were used to generate data from which coded themes were identified. These coded themes served as the core research of this study. The subjective experience of respondents' career development are presented, supported by a literature control. From this research it is clear that the adolescent's process is dynamic with regard to field and phenomenology and that structures such as family and school plays an important career developmental role as environmental influences. Intra psychic constructs such as introjects, assimilation and process play an important role in decision-making. / Sociology / M. Diac. (Play Therapy)

Maria Ivone Marchi Costa 06 February 2003 (has links)
The present study has as the general objective to investigate with child psychotherapists of different theoretical approaches (Psychodrama, Gestalt and Client Centered therapy), how the clinical practice is being experienced. To do so, 6 (six) child psychotherapists, having a professional experience ranging from 10 (ten)to 30 (thirty) years, being 2 from each approach were interviewed. The interview was semi-directed and comprised the following dimensions: feelings experienced as a child psychotherapist, obstacles faced, used resources, necessities felt, evaluation of the speciality and a last question for additional information. The interviews were conducted individually and were taped and transcribed. After reading the answers of the above quoted dimensions, we can conclude that there were no differences in the responses given by the participants related to the speciality in which they work. In a general way we can say that: 1) The feelings experienced were of valuing the work with children due to its preventive character, in addition to that, it is gratifying and nice because it favors the person growth, though, at the same time the therapists feel the frustration, solitude and impotence, especially when the parents do not cooperate; 2) The obstacles faced reter to the difficulty of getting an alliance with the parents, the small number of professionals working in this area and the lack of research and related literature; 3) The used resources passed by the social network of the child (parents, relatives, friends), and regarding the technical resources, structured and non structured toys, tests and several techniques were used; 4) The necessities felt include the constant search for updating, revision through supervisions and exchange of experience with other professionals, as well as, congresses and courses; 5) The evaluation they have on the area is that, it is more difficult because it requires physical effort of the professional, the understanding of the child's language, not only verbal but also non verbal, and the cultural issue that everything that refers to children is does not receive the same value. Browsing through the several authors in whom the studies were based on, we found in the social/narrative constructionist approach a distinguished ethical position in the therapeutic practice with the children and their families. We also hold the position that the difficulties are minimized and the results more effective when the child and the family work together, either with family therapy, or brief family meetings

A união do corpo e da alma n\'A estrutura do comportamento / The union of body and soul in The Structure of Behavior

Natália Giosa Fujita 29 August 2014 (has links)
We try to show how Merleau-Ponty\'s first doctoral thesis, The Structure of Behavior, allows for a comeback of the classical problem of the union of body and soul, once it criticizes the mechanicist empirism founding the scientific attempts (from neurophysiology and psychology) to explain the organic life and behavior, while unearthing in those fenomena a milieu that differs from the transcendental self embedded in criticism as a final explanation and foundation of knowledge, and as the limit to what one can say about being. We also try to point out to the limits of such conceptual framework, in which body and its performances, specially perception, may again play a crucial role in philosophical investigation, in particular because of excessive emphasis placed upon the connection between symbol and truth, and for a lack of positive description of the articulation between the so-called inferior forms of behavior connected to instincts, organic life and circular time and the symbolic level related to truth, freedom and History

Information design and its principles

Kabel, Tommy January 2022 (has links)
When communicating information then it is important to communicate clarity in the message. In order not to confuse the information for the recipient. Information design has several principles to avoid this problem. If an information designer uses the principles correctly, the information designer can communicate clarity in his message. The progression of an education can be an important part o fachieving one's degree goals as a student and therefore it is important if the information about the progression is clear. This study will present principles in information design, principles that help functional, aesthetic, and cognitive properties in information design. The mapping in this study will take the help of the functional principles as they show how to promote a good information design in terms of structure, clarity, simplicity, unity, and emphasis. Gestalt laws and gestalt psychology will also be included because both information design and gestalt psychology deal with the human ability to perceive information, design, and objects in the human environment. The method for the study is to perform a qualitative content analysis of colleges and universities and the programs in accordance with the functional principles of information design. The results show that most of the schools follow the functional principles of information design and there are also cases of additions to the information in the form of figures / basics from the figures. Even though most schools use the functional principles of information design, it was perceived as a challenge to find sources that address the importance of progression in education.

Tremblay, Félix 08 1900 (has links)
This work is dedicated to the conception of the human being that is discreetly outlined in the first two works of French philosopher Maurice Merleau-Ponty, namely "The Structure of Behavior" (1942) and "Phenomenology of Perception" (1945). The first work, which adopts the perspective of empirical sciences of man (psychology, biology, psychopathology), and the second work, which claims a phenomenological point of view, both aim to challenge the metaphysical and epistemological parameters inherited from the Cartesian tradition, and to reveal the irreducibility of our being-in-the-world. The resulting philosophical anthropology is one of "ambiguity," which is best perceived from a temporal perspective.

Kleur as hulpmiddel in die uitdrukking van emosie by die vyfjarige kind : 'n Gestalt-Terapeutiese benadering

De Vries, Renata 30 June 2003 (has links)
Text in Afrikaans with t.p. and summaries in Afrikaans and English / Limited research concerning a child's association between emotion and color is available, both in terms of the amount of research studies done as well as the generalization of the results for the purposes of the five year-old. This study's aim was to explore the individual, unique, symbolic meaning between the experiencing of emotion and color of the five year-old. Color was used as an expedient to facilitate the identification of emotion. The test sample consisted out of five, five year-old Afrikaans speaking children. The researcher developed a technique and used it to explore the above. The results of this study showed that the associations that five year-olds draw between emotions and color can't be generalized. The study further showed that color can be very helpful in the identification process of emotions when working with the five year-old child. The results of this study were compared to relevant previous research results and at the end the researcher made certain recommendations for further research concerning the subject. A gestalt theoretical perspective on domestic violence in middle-childhood

Kemp, Rochshana 30 November 2004 (has links)
The purpose was to give a theoretical perspective on domestic violence in middle-childhood. The aim was therefor to explore and describe domestic violence in middle-childhood from a Gestalt perspective with guidelines for play therapists to utilise with middle-childhood children experiencing domestic violence. Due to the nature of qualitative research triangulation was used where firstly an in-depth literature study on middle-childhood, the Gestalt approach and domestic violence. Secondly semi-structured interviews in the empirical research in example a self-developed questionnaire. Together with this mediums and techniques of Gestalt play therapy for the main purpose of obtaining more information from the respondents. The literature was utilised from a explorative and descriptive nature of the research to refine concepts through semi-structured interviews with six children as respondents. This information is given graphically and applied for guidelines from Gestalt perspective to play therapists to assist these children. The objectives of the study have thus being achieved. / Practical Theology / M. Diac.
