Skirtingo meistriškumo rankininkų agresijos raiška lyties aspektu / Manifestation of aggression among different sex handball players of various performance

Davydaitienė, Ingrida 20 May 2005 (has links)
Violence in sport happening during sporting fight as well as out of play, is becoming a serious social problem, most often sporting activity is criticised exactly through the excessive manifestation of aggression. There are rather controversial attitudes of scientists towards manifestation of men and women aggression presented. That prompted to do a research analysing possibility of manifestation of aggression among different sex handball players of various performance (n=119) and have established interrelation of various forms of aggression. Having analysed manifestation of aggression in the aspect of sex, it was found that women are eager to express hostile aggression more than men. Summarising manifestation of aggression in the aspect of performance, the form of instrumental aggression is more expressed in high peak performance women handball players, and a feature of jealousy and tendency to hostile aggression is more peculiar to low peak performance women. Upon establishing coherence of various aggression forms among high peak performance handball players, it was founded that with increasing possibility of manifestation of instrumental aggression, a possibility of verbal aggression was also increasing. Instrumental aggression of low peak performance handball players – both men and women - is more related to defensive aggression.

Didelio meistriškumo rankininkų sportinės veiklos motyvacijos ypatumai / Peculiarities of High Peak Performance Handball Players’ Motivation for Sporting Activity

Žvaliauskaitė, Indrė 20 May 2005 (has links)
It is noticed that success of sporting activity is positively influenced by certain motives. That prompted to perform a research enabling to determine prevailing sporting activity motives of high peak performance handball players. There is a sporting activity motivation of high peak performance men handball players (n=57) analysed in the final paper of the Master studies. Having analysed sporting activity motives of high peak performance men handball players (n=29) and women handball players (n=28) it was established that prevailing motives of high peak performance men handball players’ sporting activity is “cooperation”, “orientation to activity content” and “collaboration”, however just the motive of “cooperation” is statistically reliable. An average failure evasion level and success motivation level are also prevailing, however there is no a statistically significant difference. Analysing sporting activity motives of high peak performance men handball players in the aspect of sex, we have established that a motive of “cooperation” of social motivation level is the most archetypal for men as well as for women, however statistically reliable difference was not determined; there is a statistically reliable motive of “cooperation” prevailing among men. Statistically unreliable “motive of orientation to activity content” is prevailing among women; an average failure evasion level and success motivation level are most of all expressed among high peak performance men handball... Phases in the Cultural Transition Process of Icelandic Professional Handball Players Moved to Denmark

Magnússon, Magnús Karl January 2022 (has links)
The number of athletic migrants has increased over the last 20 years. In the past, transitions have been difficult for transnational and migrant athletes. The objective of this study was to explore professional cultural transition experiences of Icelandic handball players who moved to Denmark in terms of demands, resources, barriers, and coping strategies throughout three phases of the transition process. The study used a qualitative approach centred on postpositivism. Eight active professional handball players were interviewed about their cultural transition experiences on moving to Denmark, and the data was then analysed using a thematic analysis. The focus was to identify themes in the data within each category and phase of the transition. In the findings, we present an empirical model of the cultural transition of Icelandic professional handball players. The model provides a description of the players' transition experiences (i.e., perceived demands, resources, barriers, coping strategies, and outcomes) within each of the three cultural transition phases (pre-transition, acute cultural adaptation, and sociocultural adaptation). The empirical model can be useful for sport psychology practitioners working with handball players and sporting national governing bodies (NGB). The results can also be implemented by handball clubs in Iceland and in coaching education.

Maisto papildų vartojimo paplitimas tinklininkų ir rankininkų, bei jų fizinis pajėgumas / Prevalence of food supplements usage for volleyball and handball players‘ and their physical fitness

Kardauskas, Kęstutis 28 June 2011 (has links)
2. Tinklininkų grupėje, praėjus 6 mėn. nuo tyrimo pradžios, geresniems staigiosios jėgos rezultatams, taikant šuolio į tolį pratimą, reikšmės turėjo amino rūgščių maisto papildų vartojimas, o rankininkų grupėje – kreatino maisto papildų vartojimas. Taikant šuolio aukštyn atsispiriant pratimą, geresniems tinklininkų rezultatams, praėjus 6 mėn. nuo tyrimo pradžios, reikšmės turėjo kreatino, o... Problem of this study: Prevalence of food supplements usage and their physical fitness (particularly for volleyball and handball players) is a low-examined theoretically and empirically. Aim: Identify the prevalence of food supplements usage for volleyball and handball players‘ and their physical fitness. Tasks: 1) Identify and compare the food supplements usage features for volleyball and handball players. 2) Identify and compare the influence of food supplements for volleyball and handball players’ physical fitness. Hypothesis: The influence of food supplements for athletes’ organism is related with better physical fitness. Findings: 1. Participants of this study mainly used protein and carbohydrates’ mixtures and the least among the subjects were used the HMB supplements. Volleyball players was the most likely to use mixtures’ of protein and carbohydrates, handball players – L-carnitine, amino acids, protein and carbohydrate mixtures. As can be seen, handball and volleyball players select quite different food supplements to use. 2. The emergency power, when the long jump exercise was used, after 6 months from the beginning of this study was better for those volleyball players‘ who used amino acids and for handball players’ – who used supplements of creatine. When the jump up exercise was used, better results (after 6 months from the... [to full text]
