2	Föreningen Svenska Konstnärinnor och de svenska Matisseeleverna : En historiografisk och genusteoretisk studie av ett föregivet orsakssamband i konsthistorien / Föreningen Svenska Konstnärinnor and the Swedish Matisse Students : A historiographical and gender theoretical study of an alleged causation in art history Bergslätt, Emelie January 2014 (has links) Jag har studerat grunden till Föreningen Svenska Konstnärinnors bildande för att undersöka ifall antagandet att föreningen instiftades som en reaktion mot den manliga konstnärsgruppen De unga och deras första utställning på Hallins konsthandel 1909 stämmer. Jag har vidare undersökt ifall det finns något samband mellan grundandet av föreningen och de kvinnliga Matisseelevernas uteslutande ur De unga. Genom en historiografisk undersökning samt Griselda Pollocks genusteori har jag med kvantitativa studier kommit fram till att Föreningen Svenska Konstnärinnor grundades då enskilda kvinnor inte hade rätten att ställa ut sin konst. Föreningens bildande grundar sig i de kvinnliga konstnärernas önskan om förbättrade juridiska rättigheter. Genom den statistik jag fört fram i detta arbete kan jag också konstatera att det inte finns något samband mellan föreningens bildande och de kvinnliga Matisseelevernas uteslutande ur De unga, detta då de kvinnliga Matisseelevernas deltagande i Föreningen Svenska Konstnärinnors utställningar är allt för lågt för att kunna ha haft någon påverkan. / I have studied the founding of Föreningen Svenska Konstnärinnor (FSK) [”The Association of Swedish Female Artists”] to examine whether the assumption that the association was founded as a reaction against the male artist group De unga [”The Young”] and their first exhibition at Hallins konsthandel in 1909 is correct. I have also examined whether there is any connection between the founding of the association and the female Matisse students’ exclusion from De unga. Through a historiographical survey and Griselda Pollock's gender theory, I have through quantitative studies concluded that FSK was founded when individual women didn’t have the right to exhibit their art in public. The founding of the association is based on the female artists struggle for equal legal rights. Through the statistics that I’ve put forward in this thesis I’ve been able to conclude that there is no connection between the founding of FSK and the exclusion of the female Matisse students’ from De unga. This is because the female Matisse students’ presence in FSKs exhibitions is too rare to have any influence on its founding. 3	Miscellanea Testudinis, studie ke znázorňování a významu želvy v evropském umění / Miscellanea Testudinis, The Study of Depiction and Symbolism of Tortoise in European Fine Art Lovászová, Nella January 2018 (has links) This master's thesis deals with a symbolism of tortoise in fine art. The text is limited to the European art only, to keep the range of the thesis sustainable. The thesis is devided into three parts. The first chapter focuses on literature, as a source of meanings for fine art. There are in detail described beginnings of literature about turtles and development of the dominant lines of their symbolism until 17th century. It is about "Tortoise-Lady", "Tortoise-Beast & Heretic" and "Slow Tortoise". Within the second part there are briefly mentioned the shades of turtle meanings that were not specified in the previous chapter due to the time period limitation. The third section includes a case study of the painting "Bathers with a Turtle" by Henry Matisse. It contains also occurrence of "Tortoise-Lady" within the history of art.

The first of these approaches is based on a notion of generative art presented by professor of art history and founder of Skissernas museum in Lund Ragnar Josephson (1891-1966). 6	Sigrid Hjerténs och Isaac Grünewalds strandbilder år 1917-1918. : En bildsemiotisk analys ur ett kritiskt vithetsperspektiv. Kristensson, Maria January 2024 (has links) Syftet med uppsatsen är att utforska en ofta förbisedd genre hos två av de första svenska modernisterna Sigrid Hjertén och Isaac Grünewald, nämligen de strandbilder konstnärsparet skapade i samband med sina sommarsemestrar i Danmark åren 1917–1918. Hur skildrar konstnärerna sitt bad och strandliv och avviker dessa bilder från konstnärernas övriga produktion från samma tidpunkt? Uppsatsens metod utgår från C.S. Peirces semiotiska begrepp ikon, index och symbol. Ett annat syfte är att ur ett kritiskt vithetsperspektiv studera om de valda verken, Blixten och Den gröna badvagnen av Isaac Grünewald samt Badscen och Komposition av Sigrid Hjertén, upprättar eller reproducerar vithet som norm? Resultatet visar att så sker, både i verk, titlar och texter. Resultatet visar även att strandbilderna följer samma mönster som konstnärernas övriga produktion. I uppsatsen presenteras en ny tolkning av symbolerna i vissa av Isaac Grünewalds verk mellan åren 1914–1919, baserad på inflytande från baltiska folksånger (daina) och det politiska läget i ett sönderfallande Tsarryssland.
