RUGGED AND RELIABLE COTS STORAGE SOLUTIONS FOR DATA ACQUISITION SYSTEMS

Tsur, Ofer 10 1900 (has links)
International Telemetering Conference Proceedings / October 20-23, 2003 / Riviera Hotel and Convention Center, Las Vegas, Nevada / Due to the rotating mechanism in mechanical disks, they cannot provide the top-level reliability required for operation in harsh military environments. This paper describes three COTS alternatives to mechanical disks: ruggedized mechanical disks, solid-state flash disks and stacked PC Cards. It discusses their cost-effectiveness and aspects such as environmental specifications, endurance and data reliability. It highlights several methods used by flash disks to enhance endurance and reliability, as well as flash pricing and density trends. It presents data security requirements in actual emergency situations, and how flash disks can meet these requirements. It concludes with a feature-by-feature comparison of ruggedized disks, flash disks and stacked PC Cards.

Open source vývojová prostředí pro Javu a kontrola kvality kódu

Roh, Jiří January 2006 (has links)

A Behavior-Driven Recommendation System for Stack Overflow Posts

Greco, Chase D 01 January 2018 (has links)
Developers are often tasked with maintaining complex systems. Regardless of prior experience, there will inevitably be times in which they must interact with parts of the system with which they are unfamiliar. In such cases, recommendation systems may serve as a valuable tool to assist the developer in implementing a solution. Many recommendation systems in software engineering utilize the Stack Overflow knowledge-base as the basis of forming their recommendations. Traditionally, these systems have relied on the developer to explicitly invoke them, typically in the form of specifying a query. However, there may be cases in which the developer is in need of a recommendation but unaware that their need exists. A new class of recommendation systems deemed Behavior-Driven Recommendation Systems for Software Engineering seeks to address this issue by relying on developer behavior to determine when a recommendation is needed, and once such a determination is made, formulate a search query based on the software engineering task context. This thesis presents one such system, StackInTheFlow, a plug-in integrating into the IntelliJ family of Java IDEs. StackInTheFlow allows the user to intervi act with it as a traditional recommendation system, manually specifying queries and browsing returned Stack Overflow posts. However, it also provides facilities for detecting when the developer is in need of a recommendation, defined when the developer has encountered an error messages or a difficulty detection model based on indicators of developer progress is fired. Once such a determination has been made, a query formulation model constructed based on a periodic data dump of Stack Overflow posts will automatically form a query from the software engineering task context extracted from source code currently open within the IDE. StackInTheFlow also provides mechanisms to personalize, over time, the results displayed to a specific set of Stack Overflow tags based on the results previously selected by the user. The effectiveness of these mechanisms are examined and results based the collection of anonymous user logs and a small scale study are presented. Based on the results of these evaluations, it was found that some of the queries issued by the tool are effective, however there are limitations regarding the extraction of the appropriate context of the software engineering task yet to overcome.

Improving resource availability for geospatial information infrastructures

Díaz Sánchez, Laura 07 May 2010 (has links)

Frege IDE nad JetBrains MPS / Frege IDE with JetBrains MPS

Satmári, István January 2018 (has links)
Frege is an open-source project which brings the popular functional programming language Haskell to the Java ecosystem. JetBrains MPS is an open-source language workbench which allows users to design a new language and build an integrated development environment with a projectional (structured) editor for the created language. In this work we analyzed Frege grammar and created an IDE based on MPS that assists developers with writing code in the Frege language. Our environment includes a set of intuitive editors for editing Frege syntax, provides a simple type checking and implements code generators for the Frege language. Aim of the Frege IDE is its usability. Additionally, the thesis compares projectional editors with the more common plain-text IDEs, such as Eclipse, and evaluates whether they offer any advantage for editing purely functional programming languages.

Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciências Médicas, Florianópolis, 2015 / Made available in DSpace on 2016-05-24T17:24:27Z (GMT). No. of bitstreams: 1 338989.pdf: 509773 bytes, checksum: af680f166f1ab4e4301255bed239699f (MD5) Previous issue date: 2015 / Objetivos: a Artrite Reumatoide (AR) classicamente afeta as articulações, porém pode apresentar manifestações extra-articulares, incluindo pulmonares. The present study aimed to identify possible risk factors or laboratory markers for lung involvement in RA, particularly the presence of rheumatoid factor (RF), anti-citrullinated peptide antibodies (ACPA), and tumor markers, and to correlate them with changes observed on chest high-resolution computerized tomography (HRCT). Method: This cross-sectional study involved RA patients who were examined and questioned by a specialist physician and later subjected to chest HRCT and blood collection for measurement of C-reactive protein (CRP), erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), rheumatoid factor (RF), ACPA (anti-vimentin and/or anti-CCP3), and the tumor markers carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), CA 125, CA 15-3, and CA 19-9. Results: A total of 96 patients underwent chest HRCT. The most frequent findings were bronchial thickening (27/28.1%) and bronchiectasis (25/26.0%). RF was present in 63.2% (55/87) of patients, and ACPA (anti-vimentin or anti-CCP3) were present in 72.7% (64/88) of patients. CEA levels were high in 27.5% of non smokers and 67.6% of smokers. CA-19-9 levels were high in 6 of 86 patients (7.0%), CA 15-3 levels were high in 3 of 85 patients (3.5%), and CA 125 levels were high in 4 of 75 patients (5.3%). Multivariate analysis indicated a statistically significant association between high CEA levels and the presence of airway changes in patients with RA (p=0.014). Conclusions: The elevation of CEA is associated with the presence of airway disease in AR .CEA can serve as a predictor of lung disease in RA and can help identify individuals who require more detailed examination for the presence of respiratory disorders.
