The analysis was oriented to problematization of the performance of these denominations in the religious market, of this public sphere, seeking implicit and explicit evidences, that is, strangeness and impasses of this conflict, contained in the religious dynamics, from the social relations present in the adhesion of the believer and their reverberations in the urban space of the city of Manaus. Based on ethnography, we seek to construct data that allow an analysis capable of explaining its reflection in the educand social mirror marked by disputes and conflicts around the legitimacy of religious proposals. / Esta Dissertação tem como proposta analisar o processo de disputas por fiéis, promovidas entre a Igreja Universal do Reino de Deus (IURD) e a Igreja Internacional da Graça de Deus (IIGD), denominações religiosas Neopentecostais, que se encontram instaladas no bairro de Educandos na cidade de Manaus, Estado do Amazonas. A análise orientou-se para problematização da atuação dessas denominações no mercado religioso, dessa esfera pública, buscando-se, evidências implícitas e explícitas, ou seja, estranhezas e impasses desse conflito, contidas na dinâmica religiosa, a partir das relações sociais presentes na adesão dos fiéis e suas reverberações no espaço urbano da cidade de Manaus. Tomando por base a etnografia procuramos construir dados que possibilitem uma análise capaz de explicar seu reflexo no espelho social educandense, marcado por disputas e conflitos em torno da legitimidade de propostas religiosas

To think of today’s Manaus is realizing the undeniable importance of religion, since it is notable a powerful religious speech presence in the daily life of social relations. There have always been a large number of Catholic Christians. However, nowadays the growth and proliferation of churches of various denominations throughout the city are perceived. This dissertation seeks to understand the dawn of the power disputes between two Christian groups: The Baptists and the Catholics, in the early twentieth century in Manaus. As a matter of substance, the research seeks to analyze the insertion of modern thinking, through the clash between the Reformed Christianism and the Catholic Church of that period, yet influenced by the conservative thinking of nineteenth-century newspapers. / A pesquisa tem como objetivo analisar a chegada dos Batistas em Manaus, e as disputas pelo poder com a Igreja Local. Pensar a Manaus de hoje é chegar à conclusão de que é inegável a importância da religião, pois se percebe o discurso religioso poderoso e presente no cotidiano das relações sociais. Sempre foi grande o número de cristãos católicos, mas vê-se atualmente o crescimento e a proliferação de diversas igrejas de várias denominações nas várias zonas da cidade. A dissertação busca compreender o alvorecer das disputas pelo poder entre os dois grupos cristãos: os Batistas e os Católicos, no início do XX, na cidade de Manaus. Como questão de fundo, busca analisar a inserção do pensamento moderno, através do embate entre o cristianismo reformado e a Igreja Católica do período, influenciada ainda pelo pensamento conservador dos jornais do século XIX.

The work is divided into three chapters, of which the first two are the theoretical basis and the third presents the object of study: the Presbyterian Church of Brazil (IPB). The first two discuss the organizational-administrative dimension of the church; the concepts of organizations; the types of ecclesiastical management; the church as a non-profit organization; the bureaucratic nature of the IPB as a religious organization, starting from the weberian vision of rational style of government. It also discusses these chapters topics such as control, leadership and organizational culture. In the third chapter presents an overview of the history of the IPB as an organization, its structure, form of government, legislation, its bureaucratic character and explanations offered to justify theologically their style of government based on councils. / Este texto tem por objetivo apresentar e discutir por meio das atuais técnicas e princípios de gestão de pessoas, à luz da administração e da sociologia, os princípios aplicados nas organizações empresariais e sua contribuição para a administração eclesiástica na capacitação de líderes cristãos, na excelência de seus trabalhos no campo da administração de pessoal, liderança e relação interpessoal. O trabalho está dividido em três capítulos, sendo que, os dois primeiros constituem a base teórica e o terceiro apresenta o objeto de estudo: a Igreja Presbiteriana do Brasil (IPB). Os dois primeiros discutem a dimensão organizacional-administrativa da igreja; os conceitos de organizações; os tipos de gestão eclesiástica; a igreja como organização sem fins lucrativos; o caráter burocrático da IPB como organização religiosa, partindo-se da visão weberiana de estilo racional de governo. Discute-se também nesses capítulos temas como controle, liderança e cultura organizacional. No terceiro capítulo apresenta-se uma síntese da história da IPB como organização, a sua estrutura, forma de governo, legislação, seu caráter burocrático e as explicações oferecidas para fundamentar teologicamente a sua forma de governo baseada em concílios.

A Lumem Gentium redescobre a Igreja Local por sua volta às fontes bíblico-patrística e redifine a compreensão da Igreja Universal como comunhão de Igrejas Locais. A Igreja Universal é também comunhão hierárquica pondo acento no bispo como elo de ligação e integração das Igrejas Locais com a Igreja Universal. A Igreja Local, presidida pelo bispo, é o lugar teológico da recepção conciliar cujo papel preponderante da ação pastoral episcopal interferirá diretamente na construção do ser eclesial e na comunhão ou não da Igreja Local com a Igreja Universal. A Igreja Local de Campos mantevese, num primeiro momento, nos moldes tridentino. A seguir, a mudança do bispo local ocasionou conflitos internos com os presbíteros e o laicato de linha tradicional. Este grupo tradicionalista separa-se oficialmente da Igreja Universal pela Ordenação de bispos sem mandato pontifício. Num terceiro momento, o grupo tradicionalista volta à comunhão com a Igreja Universal através da criação da Administração Apostólica dentro da Igreja Local de Campos. São duas Igrejas com dois bispos para um só povo de Deus. Os desafios pastorais emergem da busca da Unidade na diversidade que exprimam a visibilidade da Comunhão Universal. Cabe à Igreja Local e à Administração Apostólica principiar um maturescente caminho de comunhão eclesial cujas exigências estão presentes nos elementos que as edificam como Igrejas cuja perspectiva pastoral é o cultivo da espiritualidade de comunhão entre os presbíteros e o laicato. / [en] The trajectory of the Local Church from Campos after Council. Pastoral theological study about their challenges and requirements. The Lumem Gentium rediscovering the Local church for his return to biblical sources-patristics and redifine understanding of the Universal Church as communion of local churches. The Universal Church is also hierarchical communion with the Bishop as putting the accent and integration of local churches with the Universal Church. The Local church, headed by the Bishop, is the theological place of receipt reconcile whose predominant episcopal pastoral action to interfere directly in the construction of the Church and in communion or non Local Church with the Universal Church. The Local Church remained fields, a first time tridentino in moulds. Next, the local bishop cange caused internal conflicts with the priests and laicato the line traditional. This group tradicionalista is Universal Church officially by ordering bishops without Pontifical mandate. The third time tradicionalista group back to communion with the Universal Church through the creation of Apostolic Administration within the Local Church of fields. There are two churches with two bishops to one people of God. Pastoral emerging challenges of seeking unity in diversity that express Universal communion visibility. The Local church and the Apostolic Administration beginning an ecclesial communion path maturescente whose requirements are present on the elements that together build up as churches whose pastoral perspective is the cultivation of the spirituality of communion to the priests and the laicato.

Essa reestruturação, comumente chamada "romanização", levou a instituição a implantar em nossa sociedade o catolicismo conforme as diretrizes estabelecidas por Roma. Além da reorganização burocrática e pastoral efetivadas, respectivamente, pela expansão do número de dioceses e paróquias e pelo controle absoluto das atividades religiosas pelo clero, houve uma mudança significativa na concepção católica sobre a espiritualidade. Como a característica essencial do catolicismo romanizado era o combate à secularização da cultura e das instituições, especialmente o Estado, a espiritualidade passou a ser mobilizada como uma estratégia desse combate, reivindicando dos católicos uma atitude militanteem defesa da Igreja e de seus objetivos religiosos e políticos. Através dessa nova espiritualidade, que exigia dos fiéis não só a participação nos ritos e a devoção aos simbolos da fé católica, mas também o conhecimento da doutrina e sua aplicação na vida cotidiana, os católicos foram integrados às lutas da Igreja contra o mundo secularizado, atuando como "fermento na massa" e procurando transformar a sociedade pelo exemplo de vida espiritual e pela atitude convicta em relação às verdades por ela defendidas / Abstract: Since the end of the 19th century, more precisely afier the called "Religious Matter" (1872 - 1875), took place signifying changes in the organization and in the way how the catholic church performed in Brazil. This reorganization, commonly called "romanization" conducted the institution to insert in our society the Catholicism according to spiritual guide established by Rome. Besides the burocratic and pastoral achieved reorganization, respectively for the fact of the expansion of a great number of dioceses and parishes and also for the absolute control of religious activities done by the clergy, there was a signifying change in the catholic conception about spirituality. As the essencial characteristic from the romanized Catholicism was the combat to the culture "centurization" (historical phenomenon from the latest centuries, through which beliefes and religious institutions were transformed in philosophical doctrines and lay institutions) and also against institutions, specially the state, the spirituality became a strategy of this combat and it claimed from the catholic people a militating attitude in defense ofthe church and its political and religious objectives. Through this new spirituality, that demanded from the faithful not only the participation in the rites and devotion to the symbols of catholic faith, but also the knowledge from the doctrine and its application in the daily life, the catholics were integrated into church's fights against the "centurized" world, acting as the "yeast in the paste" and they tried to transform the society through examples from spiritual life and for convicted attitudes toward the truth defended by the church / Doutorado / Doutor em História
