The paper presents J. R. Fowles's novel "The French Lieutenants's Woman" as imitation and parody of Victorian novel.The epigraphs, duality of presentation and multiple endings of the novel, analyzed in the paper, made "The French Lieutenant's Woman" an uotstanding parody of the Victorian novel.

Disertacijoje siekiamas tikslas: sudaryti trifazio asinchroninio variklio matematinius modelius fazinėje koordinačių sistemoje, esant įvairiems variklio apvijų jungimo būdams, sukurti modelį tiesiaeigio asinchroninio variklio dinamikos tyrimui, jo pagrindu sudaryti kompiuterinius modelius dažniu valdomiems asinchroniniams varikliams tirti. / The aim of dissertation is to develop mathematical and computer models of induction motor in phase coordinate system at various ways of stator windings connection, transform this model for investigation of dynamics of linear induction motor, and carry out computer models for investigation of frequency-controlled induction motors.

Darbe nagrinėjama tikrovės ir imitacijos problema fotografijoje pagal Jean‘ą Baurillard‘ą, menamos ir realios tikrovių koegzistavimo bei sąveikos problema. Darbe keliamas tikslas – imituotas peizažas: nagrinėjama imitacijos tendencija šiuolaikinėje kūrybinėje fotografijoje, kai išryškinami realybės neatitikimai, t.y. kur „imituotas peizažas“ prasilenkia su menamu realiu peizažu. Darbo objektas yra „imituoto peizažo“, kaip šiuolaikinio meno objekto, vaizdavimas, konstravimas. Klausimai, susiję su tokiu peizažu, yra nagrinėjami, vadovaujantis simuliakrų teorija. Šio tikslo siekiama analizuojant imituotą peizažą, kuris yra susijęs su šiomis problemomis: jis nėra pasaulio (tikrovės) atspindys, tačiau, nebūdamas pasaulio atspindžiu, vis tiek atspindi pasaulį (klausimas: kokį), erdvę ir laiką, aptariami tokio peizažo šifravimo kodai, ženklai ir nusakoma, kaip tai susiję ar nesusiję su simuliakrų teorija. Tyrimo metodai, naudoti teoriniame darbe: menotyrinės literatūros analizė ir apibendrinimas, komparatyvinė analizė, menininkų darbų analizavimas ir interpretavimas, sisteminimas. Tikrovės ir imitacijos problemos fotografijoje analizė išryškino, jog šiuolaikinė fotografija, dažnai apibūdinama simuliakro sąvoka, neneigia galimybę fotografuojant fiksuoti objektyvią tikrovę. [toliau žr. visą tekstą] / This work analyzes the problem of imitation and reality in the photography according to Jean Baurillard. Also it is looked into the problem of coexistence and interaction of apparent and actual realities. The aim of this work is the imitated scenery: the tendency of imitation in the modern creative photography is examined; the inadequacies of reality are highlighted that is how “the imitated scenery” is inadequate to the apparent real scenery. The object of this work is to construct and depict “the imitated scenery” as an object of postmodern art. The questions concerned with the imitated scenery are analyzed in accordance with Jean Baurillard’s simulacra and simulation theory. In order to reach this goal the imitated scenery is analyzed, which is concerned with these issues: the imitated scenery is not a reflection of real-life (reality), however, it still reflects the world (the question is what world it reflects), space and time. Furthermore, the encoding of codes and signs in such scenery is discussed with reference to the simulacra and simulation theory. The research methods used in this work are: the analysis and generalization of literature on art criticism, comparative analysis, the analysis and interpretation of artistic works, the systemization of accomplished analyses. In this thesis is investigated how magnetic field varies at different instants of time in the air gap of linear induction motor and outside of it. The are given results of simulation, which show the change of magnetic flux at different instants of time of linear induction motor in the air gap, outside the inductors, also magnetic flux dependencies on air gap width. Two models of linear induction motor with secondary element and without it are compared.

This master thesis deals with the virtual gate position and liquid level control system. The main characteristics of automatic control systems, fuzzy logic systems, their properties and formation principles are reviewed. Conventional and advanced control methods are presented pointing out their benefits, drawbacks and problems to be solved. Physical modelling and simulation issues are also discussed. Physical, mathematical, simulation and animation models of the system are produced. Position and level controllers are designed. The simulation of gate position and liquid level control processes is performed. The simulation model is built up using MATLAB Simulink and Fuzzy Logic Toolbox. The simulation results prove that the proportional controller fits very well for controlling gate position. However, the results of liquid level control “upwards” using PI controller are only satisfactory. Unsatisfactory results are obtained using the same controller for liquid level control “downwards”. Substantially better results are achieved using fuzzy logic controller. The models produced can be useful for further investigations and learning purposes.

Šiame darbe nagrinėjama Lietuvos užsienio politikos strateginio planavimo ir valdymo sistema. Analizuojant teisinius, biurokratinius bei percepcinius užsienio politikos strateginio planavimo ir valdymo sistemos veiksnius, siekiama identifikuoti dabartinę šios sistemos būklę ir numatyti jos tolesnės raidos perspektyvas. Darbe taip pat pateikiama rekomendacijų ir konkrečių priemonių, kurių įgyvendinimas potencialiai prisidėtų prie šalies užsienio politikos strateginio planavimo ir valdymo sistemos plėtros. / In the context of more complicated process of Lithuanian international environment it is getting more difficult to draw a line between foreign and home policy. On the traditional foreign policy agenda new items are to be seen (e.g. terrorism, international migration, etc.) obviously, new activity models are required to deal with these problems successfully. The sector of foreign policy becomes a linking chain that makes it possible to combine inner and outer environmental dynamic processes as well as to more effectively implement national interests. That is why it is extremely important to ensure the efficiency of mechanisms for forming and implementing foreign policy. The work is based on a presumption that the effective planning and management are to be indispensable condition for successful foreign policy. The aim of the work is to estimate the situation in strategic planning and management of foreign Lithuanian policy and to find out if there is any evidence of the development in this particular area.
