Σε αυτή την εργασία, αφού παρουσιαστεί αναλυτικά η τεχνολογία UWB, μελετούνται από τη βιβλιογραφία τρόποι για την εκτίμηση του ασύρματου καναλιού με χρήση δεδομένων εκπαίδευσης. Στη συνέχεια, υπάρχει μια ανάλυση της προσομοίωσης που έγινε με τη βοήθεια του λογισμικού MATLΑB η οποία υλοποιεί τον πομπό, το κανάλι και το δέκτη με εκτιμητή καναλιού και στο τέλος μελετάται η απόδοση του συστήματος. / This report presents the UWB impulse radio technology and contains a relevant study of channel estimation techniques. In next chapters there is a MATLAB simulation for the full system and the channel estimator subsystem and conclusions are made.

Το θέμα της παρούσας διπλωματικής εργασίας είναι η αντικεραυνική προστασία όσον αφορά ευαίσθητους ηλεκτρονικούς εξοπλισμούς και ηλεκτρικές εγκαταστάσεις. Προτού όμως αναφερθούν τρόποι και συσκευές προστασίας ή δοθούν κάποια παραδείγματα εφαρμογών σε εγκαταστάσεις και εξοπλισμούς κάποιων χωρών, πρέπει να γίνει μια εισαγωγική αναφορά γύρω από τον πυρήνα αυτής της εργασίας: τον κεραυνό. Έτσι, στο 1ο κεφάλαιο γίνεται περιγραφή κάποιων εισαγωγικών εννοιών σχετικά με τον κεραυνό. Ξεκινώντας από τη φόρτιση των σύννεφων και στο πως αυτή γίνεται, καταλήγουμε στα διάφορα είδη κεραυνών. Ακολουθεί η εξομοίωση στο εργαστήριο με ορισμένα μεγάλα διάκενα εκκένωσης του κεραυνού. Στη συνέχεια αναλύεται ο μηχανισμός των ατμοσφαιρικών εκκενώσεων μέσα από τρείς φάσεις: έναρξη οχετού (οχετός προεκκένωσης), φάση του οχετού επιστροφής και ο συνδετικός οχετός. Τέλος, γίνεται ανάλυση και μοντελοποίηση του ρεύματος κεραυνού και των παραμέτρων του. Οι βλάβες στις μονάδες ισχύος ενός υπαίθριου ηλεκτρονικού εξοπλισμού, απαντώνται συχνά εξαιτίας των κρουστικών ρευμάτων των κεραυνών που επάγονται πάνω στις AC γραμμές τροφοδοσίας. Οι αιτίες για τις βλάβες αυτές είναι ότι τα κρουστικά ρεύματα λόγω κεραυνών, ενεργοποιούν το κύκλωμα ασφαλείας της μονάδας ισχύος. Στο 2ο κεφάλαιο, για να αποσαφηνίσουμε τους μηχανισμούς των βλαβών αυτών, μετρήσαμε τα κρουστικά ρεύματα πάνω στις γραμμές. Οι μετρημένες κυματομορφές ήταν αρκετά μεγαλύτερες από τις τυποποιημένες κυματομορφές, που έχουν οριστεί από το Κ.44 του ITU-T. Επίσης, η πιθανότητα εμφάνισης κρουστικών ρευμάτων πάνω σε AC γραμμές τροφοδοσίας ήταν 20 φορές μεγαλύτερη από ότι να εμφανιστεί σε γραμμές τηλεπικοινωνιών. Όταν ένα κτίριο πλήγεται από κεραυνό, ένα μεγάλο μέρος του κρουστικού ρεύματος ρέει μέσω του συστήματος γείωσης προς το έδαφος και ένα μέρος του διαρρέει μέσω των ηλεκτρικών καλωδιώσεων του κτιρίου, οι οποίες προστατεύονται από SPD (Surge Protective Device). Στο 3ο κεφάλαιο, γίνεται αριθμητική ανάλυση της κατανομής του ρεύματος κεραυνού σε ένα πληγέν κτίριο, μέσω ενός ηλεκτρομαγνητικού και ενός κυκλωματικού μοντέλου. Σύμφωνα με την κατανομή του ρεύματος και για διάφορα συστήματα καλωδίωσης, καταλήξαμε ότι το ποσοστό του ρεύματος στις καλωδιώσεις στα υψηλότερα και στα χαμηλότερα πατώματα είναι τα μεγαλύτερο και συγκλίνει σε μία σταθερή τιμή όσο το κτίριο ψηλώνει. Όσον αφορά τα μεσαία πατώματα, είναι ασήμαντα μικρό. Αυτό το αποτέλεσμα μας είναι πάρα πολύ χρήσιμο στον προσδιορισμό της ενεργειακής κατάταξης του SPD. Συχνά ακούμε για ζημιές σε ηλεκτρικό/ηλεκτρονικό εξοπλισμό ενός κτιρίου που προκαλούνται από ρεύμα κεραυνού, ακόμα και αν η απόσταση της ηλεκτρονικής συσκευής από το σημείο πλήγματος του κεραυνού είναι μερικές εκατοντάδες μέτρα μακριά. Στο 4ο κεφάλαιο, εξετάζουμε τα ποσοστά του ρεύματος που μεταφέρονται μέσω των γραμμών τροφοδοσίας μιας κατοικημένης περιοχής από το πληγέν κτίριο στα γειτονικά του. Στο 5ο κεφάλαιο εξετάζουμε το επακόλουθο της επικίνδυνης υπέρτασης, λόγω πλήγματος κεραυνού στο LPS (Lightning Protection System) ενός κτιρίου, όπως επίσης και τα επιμέρους ρεύματα που ρέουν στις εσωτερικές εγκαταστάσεις που συνδέονται με τη ράβδο ισοδυναμικής σύνδεσης (bonding bar) και το σύστημα τερματισμού γείωσης. Μετρήσαμε τα ρεύματα κεραυνού στις εισερχόμενες γραμμές του κτιρίου για διαφορετικές εισόδους έγχυσης του κρουστικού ρεύματος, έτσι ώστε να καταλήξουμε στην κατάλληλη επιλογή και σύμπλεξη του σετ των SPD, της προστατευόμενης συσκευής χαμηλής τάσης. Επιπλέον, μετρήσαμε την κατανομή του ρεύματος και την πτώση τάσης για διαφορετικά σετ των SPD (switching και limiting) και για διαφορετικούς κατασκευαστές, σε διάφορα σημεία των μοντελοποιημένων κυκλωμάτων του οικοδομήματος. Στο 6ο κεφάλαιο, αναπτύσσονται οι δίσκοι ΖnO με ικανότητα αντοχής σε υψηλή ενέργεια, για χαμηλής τάσης συσκευές προστασίας από υπερφορτίσεις. Αυτό το πετυχαίνουμε βελτιώνοντας την χημική σύνθεση, την κατασκευαστική επεξεργασία και τον σχεδιασμό των ηλεκτροδίων των δίσκων αυτών. Οι μεταβλητές αντιστάσεις (Varistors) είναι από τα πιο κοινά χρησιμοποιούμενα προστατευτικά εξαρτήματα στα συστήματα χαμηλής τάσης. Είναι πολύ σημαντικό να εντοπίσουμε και να αντικαταστήσουμε τις φθαρμένες μεταβλητές αντιστάσεις με σκοπό να αποφύγουμε οποιεσδήποτε ζημιές στη προστατευόμενη συσκευή. Στο 7ο κεφάλαιο, μελετάμε την συμπεριφορά των χαμηλής τάσης μεταβλητών αντιστάσεων λόγω του επαναληπτικού κρουστικού ρεύματος με ρυθμό επανάληψης 10 έως 60 sec. Λεπτομερείς αναλύσεις έγιναν για να έχουμε μια ξεκάθαρη αντίληψη για τις αλλαγές των χαρακτηριστικών της μεταβλητής αντίστασης κάτω από ένα τέτοιο περιβάλλον. Οι περισσότερες από τις φυσικές ζημιές (90%) παρατηρήθηκαν στην επιφανειακή επίστρωση των αντιστάσεων. Οι επιφανειακές ηλεκτρικές εκκενώσεις θα μπορούσε να είναι ο κύριος λόγος για αυτόν τον τύπο ζημιών. Η διηλεκτρική συμπεριφορά της επιφανειακής επίστρωσης της μεταβλητής αντίστασης και του συστήματος του ηλεκτροδίου επαφής, καθώς και οι κατασκευαστικές ατέλειες της επιφανειακής επίστρωσης της μεταβλητής αντίστασης θα μπορούσαν να έχουν σημαντική επίδραση στην χωρητικότητα αντοχής. Συνεπώς καταλήγουμε στο συμπέρασμα ότι η τάση επιβολής αποτυχημένης λειτουργίας δεν θα εμφανιστεί κατά την διάρκεια του περιβάλλοντος επαναληπτικού κρουστικού ρεύματος. Τέλος, στόχος του 8ου κεφαλαίου είναι να παρουσιάσει πρακτικές διαδικασίες μετριασμού και βελτιώσεις εφαρμοσμένες σε σύστημα αντικεραυνικής προστασίας (Σ.Α.Π.) ενός ευαίσθητου εξοπλισμού, ο οποίος αποτελείται από κινητές και σταθερές κάμερες ασφαλείας εγκατεστημένες σε υποσταθμό με πίνακες σταθμών ισχύος. Αυτοί είναι κατασκευασμένοι σε μια γεωγραφική περιοχή μεγάλης πρόσπτωσης κεραυνών και σε μια περιοχή με έδαφος μεγάλης ειδικής αντίστασης. Διαδικασίες και εφαρμογές που αφορούν την θεμελίωση και την γείωση των καμερών ασφαλείας θα εξεταστούν, το ίδιο καλά όπως και η εγκατάσταση των αλεξικέραυνων της γραμμής ισχύος. / The subject of this project is the lightning protection for electrical/electronic equipments with low voltage devices. But before being reported ways and protection devices or given some examples of applications for electrical installations in some countries, should be an introductory reference around the core of this work: the lightning. Thus, chapter 1 contains a description of some import concepts about lightning. Starting from the charge of the clouds and how it is, we arrive at the different types of lightning. Here the simulation in the laboratory with some major gaps evacuation for some of the conclusions of the lightning discharges. Then analyze the mechanism of atmospheric discharges through three phases: entry drain, phase of the return drain and the connecting drain. Finally an analysis and modeling of lightning current and his parameters became. Malfunctions on power units frequently occur due to lightning surge currents induced on ac mains lines of access network equipment installed at outdoor locations. The reasons for malfunctions are that the lightning surge current unnecessarily trips a circuit breaker of a power unit. In chapter 2, to clarify the mechanisms of the malfunctions, we have measured the lightning surge current on ac mains lines of access network equipment. The measured waveforms of the lightning surge current were much longer than those of combination waves defined by K.44 of ITU-T, and the occurrence probability of surge current on ac mains lines was 20 times higher than that on telecommunication lines. When lightning strikes a building, a part of it’s diverted to ground via the external lightning protection system and the grounding system, and another part flows through the electrical wirings of a building, which protected by surge protective devices (SPD). In chapter 3, became a numerical electromagnetic analysis on lightning current distribution inside of directly stricken building, by the electromagnetic model and a simple circuit model of the wirings. According to calculated portion of lightning current and for different wiring systems, concluded that the portion of the lightning current into the wiring on the top and on the bottom floors are the largest, and they converge on constant values at a tall building. Those into wirings on the middle floors are negligibly small. This result is useful in determining energy ratings of SPD. We often hear about damages at electrical/electronic equipment caused by a lightning current although the distance between the lightning stroke and the electronic device is often several hundred meters. In chapter 4, we investigate the portion of lightning current that flows from the stricken building to the next buildings via the supply lines. In chapter 5, we investigate the overvoltage hazard resulting from lightning strikes to the LPS and the partial currents entering the internal installations connected with bonding bar and earth termination system. We calculated the lightning current at the incoming lines of the building for different injection points of lightning current, in order to select the co-ordination of SPD sets, of low-voltage protected device. Also, we calculated the measurements of lightning current distribution and voltage drops in different points and elements of two-stages of SPD sets of different types (switching and limiting) and producers. In chapter 6, we investigate the development of ZnO disks with high energy withstand capability for low voltage surge protected devices. We accomplish that by some modifications of chemical composition, by optimization of manufacturing process and by electrode design of those disks. Varistors are one of the most commonly used protective components in the low voltage systems. It is very important to detect and replace the deteriorated varistors to avoid any damages to the protected system. In chapter 7, we investigate the behavior of low voltage varistors due to repetitive current impulses with the rate of 10 sec to 60 sec. Detailed analysis was done to have the clear idea about the changes of varistor characteristic under repetitive current impulse environment. Most of the physical damages (90%) observed are at the surface coating of the varistors. Surface flashovers could be the main reason for this type of damages. Dielectric behavior of the varistor surface coating and the electrode contact system, and manufacturing defects of the varistor surface coating could be a major influence on withstand capability under the repetitive impulses. It was observed that the surface flashovers may occur and varistors may physically damage before it reach to the clamping voltage failure mode. Therefore it can conclude that the clamping voltage failure mode will not occur during the repetitive impulse environment. Finally, the goal of chapter 8 is to present practical mitigation procedures and improvements applied to the lightning protection system of sensitive equipment, which is composed of moving and stationary security cameras installed in power substation switchyards. They were built in a geographic area of large incidents of lightning strokes and in a region with a high resistivity soil. Practical procedures concerning the grounding and earthing of security cameras are discussed, as well as the installation of power line surge arresters.

Influencer marketing has become a significant marketing tool for companies since the profession as an influencer is emerging. Especially on Instagram as it is one of the biggest social media platforms for influencers. This results in a change for followers also being consumers since more products are being marketed through Instagram. Further, the easy access of mobile devices makes it effortless to purchase products endorsed by influencers. Previous research exists about Influencer marketing, m-shopping and impulse buying behavior. However, an opportunity was found to study the relation of these. Thus, this paper focus on investigating factors on consumers mobile impulse buying behavior affected by influencers, in the context of Instagram. The purpose of this thesis was to investigate influencers impact on consumers mobile impulse buying behavior, analyzing through the social media platform of Instagram. A study with mixed method research design was conducted to carry out the purpose of this thesis. The qualitative data was collected through semi-structured interviews with the aim to discover in what way Instagram influencers affect consumers mobile impulse buying behavior. The themes and codes acquired from the findings of the qualitative study were tested with a questionnaire through a quantitative study, this to identify which factors impact the consumer’s mobile impulse buying behavior the from Instagram influencers. The empirical evidence suggests that the Relation to influencers content, Perception of influencer, Conscious spontaneous purchase and Cause of purchase are factors that have an impact on consumers mobile impulse buying behavior by influencers on Instagram. The empirical evidence further implies an influential process between the different factors. Tough, it was not tested how they were related as the study did not aim to compare the interrelation between the factors.

This BA thesis is about an attempt to explore micro-utopianism through design, an investigation that seeks which driving forces come into play in a search for a better place. In comparison to conventional utopianism, I will give my insights about why micro-utopianism should instead be practiced as an alternative approach to the subject. It is more about the process, exploring, imagining and experimenting rather than constituting a perfect place. The way I chose to go about this was through participatory design, which is a discipline that involves the stakeholders throughout the whole design process and beyond. I will also talk about dissecting as a design method and how I tried this out to explore micro-utopianism. To do this, the participants and I conducted two workshops so that, together with the participants, we could have a space where our imagination could ‘gestalta’ (or ‘exterpret’) thoughts of critique and opportunities. The two workshops were targeting different age groups: in the first one mainly adults participated and the second workshop was with youth. This will give you an insight of how dissecting can be applied to stimulate the utopian impulse using the power of imagination.

[pt] Esta dissertação tem como objetivo a análise e articulação dos conceitos de trauma, repetição e pulsão de morte em Freud, embora algumas contribuições de psicanalistas pós-freudianos também sejam consideradas. A riqueza dos conceitos em questão se apresenta pelo seguinte paradoxo: ao mesmo tempo em que testemunham um limite do aparelho psíquico, lançam para o trabalho. O que motiva essa pesquisa, portanto, é justamente a indagação sobre as vicissitudes destes limites - limite do psiquismo e da representação, com o intuito de problematizá-los. Pois é preciso pensar sempre em uma dupla potencialidade do que se apresenta como limite: por um lado potência de abertura e por outro, agente de fechamento. Não queremos com isso diminuir a importância da representação no trabalho analítico como objetivo essencial, mas apontar para a importância da valorização e discriminação de modos de trabalho do psiquismo que não o trabalho representacional, buscando enfatizar a importância da negatividade para a o enriquecimento e complexificação do psiquismo. / [en] The purpose of this thesis is to analyse and articulate the concepts of trauma, repetition and death drive in Freud, although some contributions of post-freudian psychoanalysts will also be considered. The richness of these concepts can be sustained by the following paradox: they witness a limit of the psychic apparatus, at the same time that lances it for work. What motivates this research, therefore, is precisely the question about the vicissitudes of these limits - limits of the psyche and representation, in order to discuss them. One must always think about a dual capability that presents itself as a limit: one for the power of opening, and the other as a closing agent. This is not to diminish the importance of the representation in an analytical work as an essential goal, but to point out the importance of the valuation and discrimination of other working modes of the psyche rather than a representational work, in order to emphasize the importance of negativity for the enrichment and complexity of the psyche.
