This document is a graduation paper for KTU remote master studies of Information Systems. Information system for forestry department bookeeping described in this paper uses client-server architecture. Data are stored in MS SQL server. User interface is created using Visual FoxPro. The program can be used to perform a part of bookeeping tasks of forestry department . It works either in local network or internet access to the database .

During development of information system, we have problems to choose appropriate architecture, technologies and methods. The conception of information system, designing methods, problems, related with information system development is given in this work. There are mentioned the main security requirement for hospital information system. We analyze created system “Information system of psychophysiology rehabilitation patients”. There are mentioned the main cases why client/server architecture, new technology adaptation were selected. The comparison of methods for data interface realization: PL/SQL language written in stored procedures and query generation is given. The selected method rating - how it speed system developing and how it influence system performance are evaluated. There are given experiments, which decrease system performance by selected methods.

Tiriamasis darbas skirtas web draudimo informacinės sistemos modelio analizei ir kūrimui. Pagrindinis darbo tikslas sukonstruoti analitinį draudimo informacinės sistemos modelį, kuris atitiktų kiek įmanoma daugiau verslo sistemos logiką, bei turėtu internetinį interfeisą, kuris leistų vartotojui dirbti nepriklausomai nuo jo buvimo vietos ir laiko. Darbe nagrinėjama ne tik techninė dalis, t.y. kaip sukurti sistemą, bet ir projektinė modelio dalis, t.y. kokia sistema turi būti, tam kad draudimo bendrovė galėtų tvarkingai funkcionuoti. Tiriamajam darbui buvo pasirinktas indukcinis tyrimo metodas, t.y. autoriai analizavo egzistuojančias draudimo informacinių sistemų modelius, bei pritaikė savo patyrimą ir žinias, kad sukurti naują web draudimo informacinę sistemą. Šio tiriamojo darbo rezultatas yra labai naudingas draudimo bendrovėms, kurios jau naudoja sukurtą web sistemą. Ši sistema palaiko beveik visas verslo logikos ypatybes, bei leidžia automatizuoti dalį rankinių procesų. Pagrindinis sukurto modelio privalumas yra sistemos pernešamumo savybė, t.y. draudimo sistemos modelis su nedidelėm išlygom gali būti pritaikytas bet kokiai draudimo bendrovei. Taip pat sukurti greito sistemos vystymo metodai supaprastina produktų kūrimo procesą, bei sumažina sistemos apkrovimą, kas leidžia minimizuoti kompanijos išteklius. / The key concept of the research proposed by the paper is to analyze the processes of Web insurance information system design and development. To put it in some more simplified words the main objective of the research is to develop analytical insurance information system model, which would confront at the highest possible level, to the business logics, moreover would have Internet interface, which would provide users with favorable working conditions independently on the time and place. The purpose of the study is multipartite: • To analyze existing insurance information systems; • To provide Web insurance information system design mechanism; • To develop open interface algorithms; • To improve business processes over their execution time and reliability; • To construct product manager; • To evaluate and compare created system with competitor’ products. The research paper analyzes not only technical, but theoretical issues as well. It describes the main aspect of the “ideal” insurance information system that any developer should implicate in the design process. Due to inductive nature of the research existing insurance systems were analyzed and personal experience was included in the new web-based insurance system creation process. Tiriamasis darbas skirtas web draudimo informacinės sistemos modelio analizei ir kūrimui. Pagrindinis darbo tikslas sukonstruoti analitinį draudimo informacinės sistemos modelį, kuris atitiktų kiek įmanoma daugiau verslo sistemos logiką, bei turėtu internetinį interfeisą, kuris leistų vartotojui dirbti nepriklausomai nuo jo buvimo vietos ir laiko. Nowadays there are lots of information systems for management of production such as CIM (Computer-integrated manufacturing systems), MRP (Material requirements planning systems), MRP II (Manufacturing resource planning systems), ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning systems). All these systems have huge possibilities. However the licence prices are enormous, the software requires big computer capacities. So they are more usable for organizations with big annual turnover. Small companies need programs which allow to collect data, store it, systematize, quickly get required information. Study object. Information system for management of clothes production orders. Study goal. To create information system for management of clothes production orders using up-to-date computer technologies. It was made analysis of organization (producing clothes) computerizing field, described functional and non-functional requirements for IS. Also made comparative analysis of information systems for management of production, project of information system for management of clothes production orders which architecture is client – server. Prepared documentation for users. Made testing and quality control. In future the functionality of the information system for management of clothes production orders can be expanded including calculations of material and production cost.

Užsakymų informacinė sistema su paklausos prognozavimu / Order information system with multidimensional demand forecasting

In current work problems and requirements for demand forecasting in commercial or manufacturing enterprises are analyzed and suitable forecasting algorithms are proposed. In enterprises with multidimensional and heterogeneous demand it is advisable to use different algorithms for different demand constituents and to readjust parameters used for forecasting. Existing forecasting packages are not practical as they are not integrated with commodities or materials supply orders management activities and business processes of enterprise. The orders management system is developed with forecasting component using adopted time series forecasting techniques such as moving average, exponential smoothing, double exponential smoothing, seasonal etc. These techniques ensure reliable forecasting results for different time series models: random, trend, seasonal and cycling, and are integrated with other business management activities. It is possible to calculate deviations of forecasted demand from factual values, to select algorithms giving minimal perсentage error, and to adjust algorithms parameters to changing demand. The system can help managers to choose forecasting algorithms and to adapt their parameters in the course of time. The system is designed using UML CASE tool and implemented in Microsoft .Net environment using MS SQL Server for data storage.

In this work was analyzed IS of UAB “Dokeda”, weighing all the positive and negative qualities. Also was discussed all additional functions which haven’t been included to the existing IS but could be useful. After have been finished analyzing of existing IS, was come to the conclusion that old system needs to be change. So in this work I did formed requirements for new IS, created new job’s models for it, explained means of technical realization, principles of new system creation and after all I did coding new IS and write new user and administrator manual. Final product was successfully introducing in enterprises UAB “Dokeda”. When new IS was introduced, in short time was carry out questionnaire between enterprise’s workers that to get opinion and to see how it works. Also I did make a suggestions how can be gain that new IS would more satisfy the enterprise’s needs and where could be adapted new IS in other areas.

Kuriant informacines sistemas, tenka kurti tuos pačius sistemos komponentus, o sistemą realizuojant komponentinio modeliavimo principu, galima panaudoti jau sukurtus komponentus juos papildant, susiaurinant bei pagal poreikius koreguojant. Pagrindinis darbo tikslas - integruoti veiklos modelį ir detalų IS projekto modelį, panaudojant komponentinį sistemos projektavimo metodą. Darbe išanalizuotos Magic Draw UML 12.5 galimybės, sukurtas profailas, skirtas nubraižyti komponentinį IS modelį. Realizuota komponentinio modelio transformacijos į klasių modelį programinė įranga, sukurta MS Visual Studio .NET 2005, kuri sugeba atlikti komponentinio IS modelio transformavimą į UML klasių modelį. Atliktas eksperimentas, palygintas sukurta programine įranga sugeneruotų komponentų programinis kodas su „Magic Draw UML 12.5“ programine įranga generuotais klasių aprašais. / Presented work covers an approach to applications development based on the principles of the model-driven architecture and using the component-based system model (CBSM). The CBSM helps to refine main components and interfaces of the application at the design stage. The information system’s architecture is structured considering a business system as a set of different domains (Business, Data, Information process) with definite types of components, and with interfaces between the components of different types. Presented work is topical, when creates the same information system’s components. These components can be used and they can be modified or changed. Component - based model transformation system is created and tested with special project.

The thesis paper analyzes the role of information systems developing the learning organization concept in the higher educational institutions‘ environment. On a basis of scientific literature analysis, a detailed research on a learning organization and analysis of concepts of information system are carried out, close communication between development of the concept of the learning organization and uses of information systems is emphasized. In the paper the information infrastructure of Klaipėda University is investigated, the information and data flows between departments of the university are analyzed. The paper offers work ways of development of the concepts of the learning organization inducing organizational double loop learning, cooperation and knowledge dispersion at the Klaipėda University. The given methodology is applied to the information system of Klaipėda University. In the thesis paper there are also offered directions of the learning organization‘s concept developing in the environment of higher educational institutions.
