In response to growing concerns about environmental degradation and climate change,demand for green products and services has increased. The use of environmental claimsas a marketing tool in order to gain a competitive advantage has also increased.The goal of this study is to close this gap by understanding how perceptions ofgreenwashing influence Angolan consumers of Generation Z's green trust and greenpurchasing intention. Through a qualitative approach, with 20 semi-interviews, thisresearch reveals that greenwashing perception has a negative impact on green trust, butthe same is not true for green purchase intention. Nonetheless, green trust has a positiveinfluence on green purchase intention, and green concern, in turn, has a positive influenceon greenwashing perception, green trust, and green purchase intention. Since consumerconcern over the environment is on growing, it is critical for businesses to be aware ofthis development, while still meeting customer expectations. This alteration should beseen as a challenge for both general organizational management and the marketingdepartment in particular.

The problem of rising temperatures and climate change is of great importance to all life. It has been made a global target by the UN and 194 countries has signed the Paris agreement which states a goal of keeping average global temperature raises two degrees below pre-industrial temperatures. Despite this, it is not clear what needs to be done. One thing for sure is that greenhouse gas emissions and ways to lessen them must be communicated in a concrete way in order to influence people and help fight climate change. This study explored how carbon budgets could be a tool for making greenhouse gas emissions less of an abstract concept. The study also examined how the implementation intentions-model could be used for increasing motivation in implementing behaviours in order to motivate reducing emissions of students. The focus of the study was to motivate participants to decrease consumption of aerial transportation and meat as these were ruled as important sources of emission for students. The study showed statistically significant results of whether these methods can be used in influencing participants behaviours. / Problem med klimatförändringar är av större vikt än någonsin tidigare för allt liv på jorden. FN har gjort bekämpning av klimatförändringar till ett av sina globala mål och 194 länder har skrivit under Paris-avtalet och dess mål att hålla temperaturökningen motsvara de under två grader förindustriella temperaturer. Att motivera folk till att minska sina utsläpp är ett viktigt steg i kampen mot klimatförändringar, men hur det ska gå till har inte konkretiserats. Denna studie utforskar hur koldioxidbudgetar skulle kunna vara ett verktyg för att omvandla utsläppen av växthusgaser till ett mindre abstrakt koncept. Studien utforskade även hur implementation intention-modellen kunde användas för att öka studenters motivation att implementera nya beteende för att minska sina utsläpp. Studiens fokus var att motivera deltagarna att minska sin konsumtion av kött och långväga transport med flyg då dessa är stora utsläppskällor. Studien har kunnat visa statistiskt signifikant resultat om hur dessa metoder kan användas för att påverka deltagarnas medvetenhet om sina utsläpp.

Sustainable Entrepreneurship Intention among Business Students of Developed and Developing Countries : A Comparative Study of Sweden and Pakistan

This study compares the sustainable entrepreneurial objectives of business students in Sweden and Pakistan. The study investigates the effect of action planning, action knowledge, cultural values, educational systems, availability of resources, and business environment on entrepreneurship intention using action regulation theory. Beginning with a literature review on sustainable entrepreneurship and business student objectives, the investigation is then conducted. The section then compares the effects of action regulation theory and action planning on sustainable entrepreneurial objectives in industrialized and developing countries. Knowledge availability and acquisition influence the entrepreneurial inclinations of business pupils in these nations. The study also investigates how cultural values, educational systems, and organizational contexts influence action planning, action knowledge, action planning, and entrepreneurial sustainability aspirations in developed and developing countries. Determine how contextual factors influence the entrepreneurial aspirations of business students. Despite these disparities, both Swedish and Pakistani business students value sustainable entrepreneurship. Business students in Sweden have greater access to specialized resources, support networks, and government initiatives that promote sustainable entrepreneurship and action planning. Despite resource, infrastructure, and educational constraints, Pakistani business students comprehend sustainability and wish to incorporate it into their operations. According to the study, resources, and assistance influence sustainable entrepreneurship action planning, knowledge, and intentions. Students in Sweden enjoy the advantages of well- developed programs, specialized curriculum, mentoring, and networking. Students in Pakistan develop business proposals utilizing personal networks, self-directed studies, and online resources. Both countries' entrepreneurial proclivities are influenced by risk-taking and self- assurance. To become viable entrepreneurial endeavors, these aspirations require resources, action planning, and action competence. According to the research, support networks, government regulations, technology, education, money, and resources influence the entrepreneurial tendencies of business students in affluent and developing nations. It also emphasizes the need to address resource, educational, and support system gaps in both contexts to promote sustainable entrepreneurship, economic development, social well-being, and environmental stewardship. This study sheds light on the entrepreneurial aspirations of business students in developed and developing countries, as well as the contextual factors that influence them.

Psychology in a Podcast Context: Do Brand Personality Perceptions and Social Nudges Explain Consumers’ Behavioral Intentions to Subscribe to Breaking Points?

Two psychological variables are of interest in the study of consumers: brand personality perceptions (per social cognition, beliefs that brands exhibit human-like attributes) and nudges (per behavioral economics, an attempt to influence behavioral change that benefits the consumer without taking away their right to choose). However, no known research exists about whether these variables explain behavioral intentions to consume podcasts, specifically. This is relevant because perceptions of mass media brands are historically negative, and consumers increasingly seek out independent media (e.g., Breaking Points). Therefore, this dissertation’s purpose was to use Breaking Points as an example to study the influence of brand personality and nudges on behavioral intentions to subscribe to a podcast. In two survey experiments (total N = 486 United States adults recruited via CloudResearch’s Connect), brand personality perceptions (i.e., sincerity, competence, status) were hypothesized to explain intentions to subscribe. Likewise, those exposed to the potential nudge were expected to report stronger intentions, compared to those unexposed. All participants viewed a description about and a clip from the podcast. Some were also randomly assigned to view a potential nudge from Breaking Points’ YouTube channel. Then, all participants answered questions about the podcast’s brand personality, about intentions to subscribe, and about psychographics. In both experiments, hierarchical regression revealed that brand personality significantly explained behavioral intentions while controlling for potential confounds (average R2 = 40%). The findings provide evidence that brand personality knowledge can expand into podcasts. In contrast, future research should investigate other stimuli that could potentially nudge podcast consumers.

Dangerous things can happen in the name of good intentions and we, as teachers or parents, are unaware of the ways we hurt children. In the book Emile or on Education we see a fictional example of a pedagogical relationship between a teacher and a student, where the teacher -Jean Jacques- is eager to teach and raise his pupil, Emile, in certain ways, so as to make him independent and happy. Jean Jacques’ intentions are unquestionably good. His goal is to protect Emile and prevent his alienation by society, through the appropriate negative education. In trying to prevent Emile’s alienation, though, he creates another type of alienation, unknowingly and unintentionally. The aim of my thesis is to analyze the system of negative education and its negative consequences, focusing on the notion of alienation. Jean Jacques, while striving to prevent alienation, through negative education, created a new type of alienation, that is even more dangerous than the one he avoided. Thus, my thesis aims to raise awareness regarding the following: a) even when pedagogical processes are based on good intentions, they can still lead to negative consequences, b) upbringing and education are both a broadening and a narrowing process.
