The Study of Knowledge Management Model for Software Organization-- Using a Domestic Company as an Example

Peng, Chi-yao 13 February 2007 (has links)
There are many different organizations devote to the methods of software development knowledge, including Software Engineering Institute (SEI), Project Management Institute (PMI), Industrial Development Bureau of Ministry of Economic Affairs, Institute for Information Industry, Information Service Industry Association of R.O.C., and so on.However, many small-and-medium-size software development companies apply the methods without considering self-ability and the situation which they are at. I t is easy to be in conflict with internal habit and culture and make a minus effect of promoting management ability. Therefore, my research will be based on the methodology of commonKADS knowledge engineering and software. First, analyze the enterprise¡¦s current management procedures and the relations among procedures, and then compare with external management knowledge, such as CMMI etc. for structuring the framework of knowledge management system model in order that enterprises can easily develop the proper method of management according to the situation.

Strategisk planering av Knowledge Managemen

Josefsson, Dorn, Tideman, Fredrik January 2007 (has links)

/
The environment of organisations is today becoming more globalized and it is important to optimize the ways of handling with information and knowledge. In this constant change that is going on has the concept Knowledge Management (KM) become popular. KM can according to us be how an organisation work and handle knowledge in order to strengthen their competitiveness.

Our purpose with this paper has been to examine how KM is described in the, in most parts, English literature and how it can be applied to Swedish organisations in order to measure the KM-condition. The aim of this research project is also to generate changes and improvement suggestions for a global organisation such as our reference organisation.

In order to obtain our purpose we have chosen to execute a survey investigation that is built on “The Knowledge Management Fieldbook” (1999) authored by Bukowitz and Wil-liams. With this literature the reader is given an opportunity to investigate and measure how a chosen organisation handles knowledge.

The research shows that the chosen investigation form is possible to use on Swedish or-ganisations even though there are some shortages. Among our proposals, to improve the survey investigation, are a change of language use and to make it possible for the investiga-tor to divide the investigation into smaller parts.

Despite the shortages in the investigation have we been able to produce a number of sug-gestions for our reference organisation to work with. These suggestions are for example about changes and improvement in KM handling. The survey investigation indicate among other things that the respondents lack an overall picture and understanding for the organi-sations vision of KM. Furthermore our result indicates that the organisation could be able to become even more competitive through appointing specialist posts like for example a Knowledge Manager.

Chinese state capitalism and the international economic order

Che, Luyao January 2017 (has links)
State capitalism, which refers to an economic system wherein the state maintains a guiding role in the economy based on the functioning of a market mechanism that is instrumental to the state, has experienced a rapid proliferation during recent decades. As a typical example of a state capitalist country, China has developed a highly institutionalised economic system characterised by a deep integration between the state and the market. This thesis aims to answer the questions as to how and why the rise of Chinese state capitalism has challenged the existing international economic order. It begins with an exploration of the ways in which Chinese state capitalism functions, submitting that the state simultaneously fulfils a triple role when intervening in the market, namely that of a planner, competitor, and a regulator. This research then doctrinally analyses the legal instruments adopted by China to advance its state capitalist practice, through which it argues that, compared to public law, private law has assumed greater importance in underpinning Chinese state capitalism. Next, by exploring both the world trading system and the international investment regime, the thesis contends that the international economic order has a limited ability to properly respond to the development of China’s state capitalism. The reason behind the limitation results from a failure to understand China’s contemporary state capitalism as an economic model that transcends the traditional market-state paradigm long-held by orthodox capitalism.

An operations management perspective of knowledge management : towards a knowledge management assessment and improvement tool

Kapofu, Desmond January 2009 (has links)
This thesis describes the development of a Knowledge Management (KM) Assessment tool for the Operational level of the organisation. Its main focus is to help organisations to identify the KM activities and mechanisms that they could improve in order to improve their operational efficiency. Current KM literature is lacking in guiding organisations in what they need to do in order to implement and formalise KM in their operations with a view to improving operational efficiency. Therefore the aim of this thesis is to fill this gap in the literature and also to influence the manner in which KM is practiced. The research project has three distinct stages: the model development, modification and testing stages. The model development stage synthesises KM literature and a pilot study in order to develop a conceptual model of the KM assessment tool. The second stage of the research project describes the application of the tool in three organisations and details the modifications that were made as a result. Finally, the third stage tests the final version of the KM Assessment tool using four case organisations. The KM Assessment tool presented in this thesis is not a prescriptive KM solution; it emphasises the need to approach KM from a process and task specific perspective. Put another way, KM improvements should be implemented to reflect the processes and task charactaristics of each individual organisation. However, the thesis presents a method of evaluation of such that is unform across organisational types

Mimètics brassinoesteroides: Estudi computacional, aïllament microbiològic, síntesi i bioactivitat

Jové Martí, Iban 17 February 2006 (has links)
However, the high costs to obtain them drives to the relevance of synthesizing brassinosteroid mimetics. In this work, it has been developed a strategy in order to transform the only known brassinosteroids inhibitor, KM-01, into a new family of analogues with brassinosteroid activity. The synthesis of three KM-01 mimetics has required the microbiologic production of the starting material (PR toxin) in gram quantities and, the structure definition of KM-01 analogues by computational methods (SHOP methodology). Finally, a new bioassay has been developed in order to evaluate their antistress activity.

An investigative study on the relationship between organizational factors and knowledge management effectiveness in UAE public organizations : the case study of Abu Dhabi

Alkatheeri, Ayman January 2018 (has links)
This study examines the relationship between organizational factors (Culture, Structure, Strategy and Technology) and Knowledge Management Effectiveness (KME) in Abu Dhabi public organizations. The literature indicates that these factors are widely used to explore KME in construction organizations, but little analysis has been undertaken for UAE public construction companies. The government of Abu Dhabi regulates eight different construction organizations. This study obtained 414 samples from the considered organizations. An empirical research with quantitative methods was undertaken. First, a comprehensive literature reviewed enabled the derivation of three hypotheses, which were then verified through a quantitative survey of the eight organizations. A questionnaire was administered to 414 active department managers, supervisors and employees of Abu Dhabi public organizations whose job description indicated responsibility for KME implementation. Descriptive statistical analysis was used to evaluate the organizational factors and KME of the considered organizations. Ordered logistic regression was used to assess the influence of the organizational factors on KME, and factor analysis was used for the extraction of the significant dimensions of these factors. Ordered logistic regression was used to explore the relationships between the significant dimensions found in these factors and KME. It was discovered that there is significant relationship between organizational factors and KME, but only a few dimensions have significant impacts. Therefore, a model was subsequently developed for the improvement of KME in Abu Dhabi public organizations consisting of significant areas and dimensions of factors impacting on KME, which was developed in a group discussion conducted with senior and middle management leaders from the considered organizations, who were responsible for implementing knowledge management. This model was then validated in Abu Dhabi public organizations and the results indicate the areas and factors of Abu Dhabi public organizations' knowledge management leaders that need to be strengthened to improve KME performance.
