Problém klesající návštěvnosti areálu společnosti Camping Praha Klánovice / The Problem of Declining Attendance Area of the Camping Praha Klánovice Company

Mašková, Michaela January 2014 (has links)
The thesis deals with the loss of customers in the subject of tourism Camping Praha Klánovice. The aim is to analyze the problem and to propose appropriate solutions of this problem, respectively to remove the main causes that cause declining attendance. The basic pillar for understanding the internal and external environment is the detailed strategic analysis, which is then supplemented by methods used to solve problems (Ishikawa diagram, Brainstorming, TOPSIS). The output of the thesis is to suggest solutions that will help again increase the attendance of this subject.

In that sense, it is clear that Cognition is a great ally to Management, as the later deals with people and is very interested in how they behave, think, and make decisions. However, even though Cognition shows great promise as a field, there are still many topics to be explored and learned in this fairly new area. Kemp & Tenembaum (2008) tried to a model graph-structure problem in which, given a dataset, the best underlying structure and form would emerge from said dataset by using bayesian probabilistic inferences. This work is very interesting because it addresses a key cognition problem: learning. According to the authors, analogous insights and discoveries, understanding the relationships of elements and how they are organized, play a very important part in cognitive development. That is, this are very basic phenomena that allow learning. Human beings minds do not function as computer that uses bayesian probabilistic inferences. People seem to think differently. Thus, we present a cognitively inspired method, KittyCat, based on FARG computer models (like Copycat and Numbo), to solve the proposed problem of discovery the underlying structural-form of a dataset.

Jon Rafman at Zabludowicz Collection : A study in Reception aesthetics

Hansson, Amanda January 2015 (has links)
In this study, I will be applying Art historian Wolfgang Kemp’s theory of the aesthetics of reception as described in the article The Work of Art and Its Beholder: The Methodology of the Aesthetic of Reception (1998) to the Jon Rafman solo exhibition at Zabludowicz Collection in London (2015). A close study has been carried out on a selection of exhibition objects, as well as the exhibition space, to investigate how they address and interact with the beholder. An examination of Rafman’s art practice will also be disclosed. Throughout the study I will answer the following questions; How are the influences that inspired the exhibition, presented in the exhibition?, How do Jon Rafman’s installations at Zabludowicz Collection engage the beholder? And, how can the composition of the exhibition space be described?

Charakteristika řeky Ohře a její využití pro vodní turistiku\\ / Characteristics of the river Ohře and its usage for touring by water\\

PECHÁČEK, Miroslav January 2007 (has links)
In the Czech Republic the number of people interested in touring by water is continually increasing. That{\crq}s why the main object of this dissertation is to present both the benefits and the disadvantages of the river Ohře. We also want to match the Ohře with the Vltava, our most frequented river. There are three different possibilities how to navigate. They depend of physical ability and technical outfit and it can take three, five or seven days. Each option is specific for certain group of watermen to suit by its character and appeal everybody who is interested in it.

Vizuální styl hip hopové subkultury,s přihlédnutím na koncepce vizuálního stylu hudebního festivalu Hip hop kemp / The visual style of hip-hop subculture with regard to the concept of visual style music festival Hip hop camp

Chaloupková, Veronika January 2012 (has links)
The aim of the thesis is to characterize the environment of hip hop subculture in the Czech Republic and to define its visual manifestations for the purposes of communication with this group. The theoretical part is focused on defining the concept of subculture. Bring nearer hip hop environment with its history and address the areas of visual expression and visual style. In the practical part, these theoretical knowledge is applied to the Hip Hop Kemp Festival, which is presented in my work. In conclusion, thesis analyze the visual style of the festival and evaluation of response to visual style of subcultures.

The Medieval Myth of The Holy Grail and its Resonance in Contemporary Popular Culture : A Reception Theory Analysis of The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown

Juhlin, Johanna January 2018 (has links)
This essay investigates why the Myth of the Holy Grail continue to occur within popular culture. Myths, tales and legends from ancient times have inspired authors throughout the centuries. The readers are not only served with a spectacular adventure, but the myths also contain messages with a moral and ethical guidance for us as beholders. This particular myth can be found within different media in our time and the essay will attempt to give some answers as to why the myth reappears in new forms over and over again. An analysis is performed by using the methodology of aesthetic reception within reception theory. The material chosen for the analysis is the work of art; The Da Vinci Code by author Dan Brown, where two different media forms will be represented, the novel and the film. The findings in the analysis revealed that the key to understanding the reasons for the occurrence of this medieval myth is the element of a quest that is present within the myth. This ingredient, where you embark on an adventure, will create feelings of excitement for the beholder. A second aspect found is that we as humans have an interest in our history. Therefore, myths and legends from our historical past will be naturally alluring for beholders and especially if they are linked to philosophical questions and ideas that can be applied to our modern society. The success that has followed The Da Vinci Code has its explanation in the fact that Brown has managed to make the myth of the Holy Grail more contemporary, the myth has then been rejuvenated. A suggestion for further research is to perform a study on beholders in focus group interviews in order to validate the findings in the analysis.

Revolt, Religion, and Dissent in the Dutch-American Atlantic: Francis Adrian van der Kemp's Pursuit of Civil and Religious Liberty

January 2014 (has links)
abstract: This project explores the histories of the Dutch Republic and the United States during the Age of Revolutions, using as a lens the life of Francis Adrian van der Kemp. Connections between the Netherlands and the United States have been understudied in histories of the Revolutionary Atlantic. Yet the nations' political and religious histories are entwined both thematically and practically. Van der Kemp's life makes it possible to examine republicanism and liberal religion anew, as they developed and changed during the era of Atlantic revolutions. The project draws on numerous archival collections that house van der Kemp's voluminous correspondence, political and religious writings, his autobiography, and the unpublished records of the Reformed Christian Church, now the Unitarian Church of Barneveld. With his activity in both countries, van der Kemp offers a unique perspective into the continued role of the Dutch in the development of the United States. The dissertation argues that the political divisions and incomplete religious freedom that frustrated van der Kemp in the Dutch Republic similarly manifested in America. Politically, the partisanship that became the hallmark of the early American republic echoed the experiences van der Kemp had during the Patriot Revolt. While parties would eventually stabilize radical politics, the collapse of the Dutch Republic in the Atlantic world and the divisiveness of American politics in those early decades, led van der Kemp to blunt his once radically democratic opinions. Heavily influenced by John Adams, he adopted a more conservative politics of balance that guaranteed religious and civil liberty regardless of governmental structure. In the realm of religion, van der Kemp discovered that American religious freedom reflected the same begrudging acceptance that constituted Dutch religious tolerance. Van der Kemp found that even in one of the most pluralistic states, New York, his belief in the unlimited liberty of conscience remained a dissenting opinion. The democracy and individualism celebrated in early American politics were controversial in religion, given the growing authority of denominations and hierarchical church institutions. / Dissertation/Thesis / Ph.D. History 2014
