L’hybridation du dispositif de formation d’Airbus Helicopters face aux technologies immersives : des enjeux d’apprentissage individuel et organisationnel / Hybridization of the Airbus Helicopters training system : individual and organizational learning stakes

Barroy, Willy 07 September 2018 (has links)
The purpose of this research is to better understand how training devices evolve, with the introduction of virtual reality technology, in industrialized training situations. This work I based on an immersion in the "training" department of Airbus Helicopters. The research-action approach allows us to observe and participate in the emergence of a technology of reality for pilot’s training. The tool is put in situation with customers as part of their training and several demonstrations are made to actors of different trades around the training. We identify hybrid configurations in the sense that training situations are both practical and at the same time theoretical in the language of the organization. Then we show that the implementation of these technologies requires to rethink a traditional rationalization. These elements allow to suggest an "approach by the hybridization of systems" gives the organization the ability to reconsider its own project (structured objects of information, organization chart, skills and trades of actors). It is a depth questioning of the learning organization that is possible, from the experience of subjects.

Adaptive Systems for Smart Buildings Utilizing Wireless Sensor Networks and Artificial Intelligence

Qela, Blerim 12 January 2012 (has links)
In this thesis, research efforts are dedicated towards the development of practical adaptable techniques to be used in Smart Homes and Buildings, with the aim to improve energy management and conservation, while enhancing the learning capabilities of Programmable Communicating Thermostats (PCT) – “transforming” them into smart adaptable devices, i.e., “Smart Thermostats”. An Adaptable Hybrid Intelligent System utilizing Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques is presented, based on which, a novel Adaptive Learning System (ALS) model utilizing WSN, a rule-based system and Adaptive Resonance Theory (ART) concepts is proposed. The main goal of the ALS is to adapt to the occupant’s pattern and/or schedule changes by providing comfort, while not ignoring the energy conservation aspect. The proposed ALS analytical model is a technique which enables PCTs to learn and adapt to user input pattern changes and/or other parameters of interest. A new algorithm for finding the global maximum in a predefined interval within a two dimensional space is proposed. The proposed algorithm is a synergy of reward/punish concepts from the reinforcement learning (RL) and agent-based technique, for use in small-scale embedded systems with limited memory and/or processing power, such as the wireless sensor/actuator nodes. An application is implemented to observe the algorithm at work and to demonstrate its main features. It was observed that the “RL and Agent-based Search”, versus the “RL only” technique, yielded better performance results with respect to the number of iterations and function evaluations needed to find the global maximum. Furthermore, a “House Simulator” is developed as a tool to simulate house heating/cooling systems and to assist in the practical implementation of the ALS model under different scenarios. The main building blocks of the simulator are the “House Simulator”, the “Smart Thermostat”, and a placeholder for the “Adaptive Learning Models”. As a result, a novel adaptive learning algorithm, “Observe, Learn and Adapt” (OLA) is proposed and demonstrated, reflecting the main features of the ALS model. Its evaluation is achieved with the aid of the “House Simulator”. OLA, with the use of sensors and the application of the ALS model learning technique, captures the essence of an actual PCT reflecting a smart and adaptable device. The experimental performance results indicate adaptability and potential energy savings of the single in comparison to the zone controlled scenarios with the OLA capabilities being enabled.

Nuotolinio mokymosi intelektualizavimas naudojant testus atvirojo kodo sistemoje / Intellectualization of remote learning with tests in open source system

Ričkutė, Laima 20 June 2005 (has links)
For effective remote learning realization we need the complex intelligent remote system, which would keep special and structured material for learning and tests of knowledge. Feedback is the most important thing for learning. In the usual way feedback takes a lot of teacher time, therefore it is very useful to practice electronic system functions for control of feedback and reduction of teachers work time. Creation of complex intelligent eLearning system needs profound knowledge of programming, pedagogical and strategic knowledge, therefore this work would be impossible for one person. The knowledge of study is very important too. Therefore we could use made-up open source remote learning system and readjust for our interests. We use remote learning open source system Moodle and use this system in practice. From practice in lessons of informatics and ECDL learning planning we could propose that this system is really very flexible and useful in learning processes. The suggestion of new well-tried remote learning method – learning with tests show that it is very effective method in learning processes.

Innovation in university computer-facilitated learning systems: product, workplace experience and the organisation

Fritze, Paul A. Unknown Date (has links) (PDF)
This thesis reports on the development of a generic online system to support learning and teaching at the University of Melbourne. New online technologies, the fostering of innovation at national and university levels and my position within a central educational unit provided the opportunity in 1996 to adapt a previous software package for online use. My observations of the problematic nature of computer-facilitated learning (CFL) production led me to take an open approach to the development, seeking both a practical product and enhanced understanding. A series of formative questions defined the scope and goals of the study, which were to: *produce a generic online learning system; *increase understanding of the workplace experience of that development; and *develop an organisational model for the further development of generic CFL systems. Given this multi-disciplinary focus, many paradigms in the literature could potentially have guided the study. A number of these aligning with the research purposes, context and constructivist philosophy of the study, were reviewed from the perspectives of learning, CFL development and the organisation.

This dissertation aims to understand about the adoption process of a booklet learning method policy from a private school used by the municipal education system of Primavera do Leste - MT. We had some central questions of this study: What interests are in dispute and influence the public education system of the city of Primavera do Leste in adopting a booklet learning method from a private school system? What the crew and the school teachers say about their teaching experiences with Maxi Learning System? The methodology adopted for this research is qualitative with the policy cicle approach formulated by Ball and Bowe (1992, 1994). They were analyzed, on the influence context, the negotiations to adopt this private school system and subsequently withdrawn from the schools in the city; in the context of text production, Town Hall website documents were analyzed, the Maxi Learning System, Mato Grosso court and some documents provided by the City Board of Education and in the context of the practice was investigated how the teachers worked with booklet learning method in the classroom. The research locus were two municipal schools of Primavera do Leste - MT. The research subjects were: the municipal secretary of education during 2005-2006 and two (02) techniques that have worked in the Department of Education at the time of the adoption of handouts, one (01) Councilor City Board of Education, the current secretary municipal education who participated in the negotiations for the withdrawal of handouts, two (02) directors, one (01) educational coordinator and nine (09) teachers. The theoretical framework was based primarily on studies of Apple (1989, 1997 , 2005 ), Ball (2001, 2010 ), Bianchetti (1996) , Freitas (2002, 2012), Gentili (1995), Goodson (1995), Freitas (2002), Gentili (1995) Paraskeva (2008) , Santos (2002) , Sacristan (1998) , Smith, T. (2011) , Lopes and Macedo (2011) Bernstein (1996, 2003), Giroux (1992), Moreira (2008), Mainardes (2007), Tyler (1977) among others that have contributed significantly to the understanding of the study. The studies of these theoretical were used primarily to discuss the concepts of globalization, educational market, commercialization of education, quality of education, curriculum, booklet learning method and re-contextualization. Of the collected data is one of the indications that the booklet learning method was adopted in the city of Primavera do Leste with the intention of improving the quality of education and the choice of Maxi Learning System was based on personal and professional managers of some of the macro system experiences. These data also revealed in which political and economic interests were present during the negotiations of the times of adoption and withdrawal of such booklet curriculum of municipal schools, showing that political decisions depended on who was in power at these times foresee decisions. The data also revealed that, despite this prescribed curriculum had been imposed and regarded as a standard curriculum in educational policy of the municipality, that teachers recreated and reinterpreted their practice, thereby breaking with the norm, but some with a greater emphasis and others more timidly.

Fernando Augusto Bergamaschi Arouca 17 March 2006 (has links)
E-Learning is a concept that involves using computer and multimedia resources to help a community or a group of people learn something. People learn by executing lessons in computer, called as on-line training too. The participant can count with many kinds of content, as: interactive simulations, videos, presentations, collaborative tools and others. According to e-Learning concept, the participants could have their performance evaluated by tests or professionals. The objective of the present study is to identify and analysis the differences between traditional live learning and e-Learning, by comparing both using performance indicators and evaluating the benefits of each other. To achieve the proposed objective, it was made a case study in a multinational enterprise where many people were trained by two learning strategies: pure traditional live and blend e-Learning training. Then the results were analyzed. This study still offers a method to implement an e-Learning training system, developed according to conceptual and practice analysis.
