Sob esse aspecto, nas relações poéticas, a discussão sobre a cidade, o sujeito lírico e a modernidade é intrinsecamente ligada, já que o início do que pode ser considerado moderno está relacionado com o crescimento das grandes cidades. Essa relação entre sujeito-cidade mudou as relações sociais e, consequentemente, o fazer e o pensar a arte. Tais relações entre sujeito e cidade se acentuam na contemporaneidade, uma vez que o caos urbano se torna mais acirrado e a sensação de fragmentação dos sujeitos se aprofunda. Com base nesses pressupostos, o objetivo desta pesquisa foi empreender um estudo de quatro poemas de Roberto Piva (1937 - 2010) presentes no livro Paranoia ([1963] 2009): "A piedade", "Poema Porrada", "Praça da República dos meus sonhos" e "Visão de São Paulo à noite - Poema antropófago sob narcótico". Partindo do enfoque do urbano, o intento do trabalho foi estabelecer de que forma se constrói a imagem da cidade de São Paulo nos quatro poemas supracitados. Em relação aos aspectos da modernidade lírica, algumas teorias servirão como base às análises dos poemas, como a de Paz (2012; 2014), cuja obra trata, dentre outros temas, da construção de imagens e ritmos dentro dos... / Abstract: According to Orlandi (2004), the body of the individual and the 'body' of the city form, within urban space, one sole construction, which encompasses their economic, cultural and historical dimensions. In that sense, both types of bodies and their destinies are reciprocally linked. Since the inception of what may be considered modern is related to the growth of big urban centers, as far as poetic relations are concerned, the discussion about the city, the poetic subject and modernity are intrinsically connected. Such relationship between the self and the city has undoubtedly changed social relations and, consequently, the ways in which art is conceived and made. On the other hand, the self-city relationship has been enhanced in contemporary society due to a more acute perception of urban life as chaotic and of the individual as fragmented. These presuppositions lay the basis for the present thesis. Its objective is to examine four poems by Roberto Piva (1937-2010) published in his book Paranoia ([1963] 2009), namely, "A piedade", "Poema Porrada", "Praça da República dos meus sonhos" and "Visão de São Paulo à noite - Poema antropófago sob narcótico". Resumo: Este trabalho centraliza-se no romance Um farol no pampa (2004), seqüência do livro A casa das sete mulheres (2002) de Leticia Wierzchowski. Nesse, a autora revisita um episódio marcante da história brasileira: a Guerra do Paraguai, tendo como fio condutor o amor entre dois primos: Matias e Inácia. Os objetivos desta dissertação são: refletir a respeito das relações literaturahistória de modo geral e no contexto sul rio-grandense, em particular; analisar a maneira como a autora representa a Guerra do Paraguai; finalmente, por tratar-se de um texto contemporâneo, verificar se nele ocorrem características da metaficção historiográfica. Para tanto, são apresentadas, no presente trabalho, considerações acerca do aparato teórico referente ao romance histórico tradicional e pós-moderno, considerações de historiadores sobre a Guerra do Paraguai, particularmente no Rio Grande do Sul, bem como reflexões relativas aos diversos tipos de narrativa que compõem o romance. A análise do romance aborda as técnicas narrativas, os aspectos estéticos e a reavaliação da história por meio da ficção. / Abstract: This thesis addresses the novel Um farol no pampa (2004), a continuation of the book A casa das sete mulheres (2002), by Letícia Wierzchowski. In the former work, the author revisits a remarkable event in Brazilian history, the Paraguayan War, through the love affair between two cousins, Matias and Inácia. This study aims at discussing the relationship Literature-History in a broad manner, and, in special, in the context of the State of Rio Grande do Sul; it also analyzes the way the author represents the Paraguayan War; and since the novel is a contemporary text, this research examines whether characteristics of historiographic metafiction can be verified in it. In order to do so, this investigation approaches theories on the traditional historical novel and on the postmodern one, debates considerations made by historians about the Paraguayan War, mainly related to the situation in Rio Grande do Sul, and focuses on the different kinds of narrative present in the novel. A distinção entre ficção e realidade, apesar de válida enquanto tentativa de caracterizar os textos literários, não deixa de ser problemática, pois que as histórias em quadrinhos são ficção, mas não são consideradas como literatura; os autores do Gênesis achavam que escreviam a verdade histórica, mas alguns o lêem hoje como fato e outros, como ficção. Se não existe um texto que seja de todo ficcional ou de todo realidade, há ainda a considerar que qualquer texto escrito pode ser lido subjetivamente. Tendo em vista as mudanças do conceito de literatura, o objetivo desta pesquisa é analisar algumas histórias da literatura brasileira, bem como as leituras que elas fazem da Carta de Pero Vaz de Caminha. Ainda hoje há controvérsias no tocante à classificação da obra, considerada literatura por alguns historiadores da literatura brasileira, enquanto outros a remetem para a história. A partir do estudo das concepções literárias presentes na historiografia literária brasileira, a análise das leituras de Sílvio Romero, José Veríssimo, Araripe Júnior, Afrânio Coutinho, Antonio Candido, Alfredo Bosi e Luiz Roncari, a respeito da Carta de Caminha, permitirá a apreensão da sensível modificação do conceito de literatura brasileira ocorrida ao longo do tempo. / Abstract: Over the history, many researchers tried to define what would distinguish the literature from the other cultural manifestations of the society. The distinction among fiction and reality, despite to be valid while attempt of characterization of literary works, is problematic, because comic strips are fiction, but they are not considered as literature; Genesis' authors thought they wrote the true story, but today some people read it as a fact and others as fiction. If there is not a fictional or true text, any writing can be read subjectively. Considering changes in the literature's concept, the aim of this work is to analyze the brazilian literary historiography and its reading about the Caminha's Letter. At present there is still different way of thinking about the classification of the work, considered literature by some historians of the brazilian literature, while others analyze it as an historical document. From study of the concept of literature present in the brazilian literary historiography, the analysis of the readings of Sílvio Romero, José Veríssimo, Araripe Júnior, Afrânio Coutinho, Antonio Candido, Alfredo Bosi and Luiz Roncari, about the Caminha's Letter, will let to understand the changes of the brazilian literature's concept over the time. / Mestre

Dessa maneira, num primeiro momento, o trabalho explana a trajetória artística do autor com a intenção de ressaltar Reparação como síntese das propostas estéticas de Ian McEwan. Na sequência, a partir de considerações teóricas, busca identificar uma possível leitura desse romance como elo entre a experiência artística e a realidade, focalizando o entrelaçamento das estratégias discursivas e da dimensão metalinguística que problematiza a questão da verdade ficcional. A seguir, a pesquisa procura investigar as intertextualidades que atestam a temática da reparação e as formas pelas quais elas estruturam a proposta principal defendida na obra. Por fim, o trabalho pretende averiguar o pensamento crítico que o autor imprime em seu texto sobre as questões do Homem no mundo para levantar de que modo as vozes sociais estão assimiladas na obra em foco, e como o romance procura condensar a experiência existencial e histórica para transformá-las em escrita. Assim, o trabalho se propõe afirmar que a produção de sentidos para o mundo atual constitui-se num dos elementos vitais na construção ficcional de McEwan / Abstract: The nucleus of this study is a reflection concerning the novel Atonement, by Ian McEwan, with the objective of verifying the possibility that this novel constitutes a vehicle for the reparation of human error. As such at first, this study sets out to give an account of the artistic trajectory of the author, with the intention of highlighting Atonement as a synthesis of Ian McEwan's aesthetic proposals. Next, based on theoretical considerations, the study seeks to identify a possible view of this novel as a link between artistic experience and reality; focusing on the interweaving of discursive strategies and the metalinguistic dimension which discusses the issue of fictional truth. The research goes on to investigate those intertextualities, which attesting to this theme of reparation, and the ways in which they structure the main proposal in the novel. Finally, the research investigates the critical thinking, of the author in the novel concerning issues of man's place in the world in order to discuss the manner in which social voices are assimilated into the work in focus; and how the novel attempts to condense existential and historical experience so as to transform these into the written word. Thus, the study proposes that the production of meaning for the contemporary world is one of the vital elements in McEwan's fictional construction / Doutor

A presente pesquisa se desdobrou em dois movimentos diferentes e complementares. O primeiro se propôs a desenvolver um estudo da narrativa Il Quartiere, de Vasco Pratolini, a partir da sua contextualização na trajetória ficcional do escritor florentino. Publicada em 1945, esta obra é lida neste trabalho, segundo a orientação do próprio autor, que a projeta como resultado do esforço de aproximá-la do que afirma ser a sua verdade, elaborada a partir da consciência de classe e de literatura, construída até 1943, ano em que finaliza sua escritura. Em um período marcado pelo final da Segunda Guerra e, mais especificamente, pela Resistenza italiana, da qual o intelectual participou ativamente, o romance retoma os anos que antecederam tais eventos históricos, compreendendo um arco histórico que vai de 1930 a 1937. O segundo movimento se deu na elaboração de uma proposta de tradução de Il Quartiere, em diálogo com algumas teorias da tradução que, ao iluminarem aspectos importantes do livro, revelaram-se como processos metafóricos da própria obra. O objetivo dos resultados aqui apresentados visa sugerir que a estética realizada por atos de linguagem veicula a ética de vocação coletiva de Vasco Pratolini, reconhecida nas línguas que percorrem O Bairro e dizem dele mais do que parecem, quando vista por um olhar brasileiro. / This research has been unfolded into two different, but complementary, ways. In the first one we proposed to develop a study on the narrative Il Quartiere, by Vasco Pratolini, from its contextualization with the fictional trajectory of this Florentine author. Published in 1945, the work is read in this paper, according to the orientation of the author himself, who projects it as a result to reach what he calls his \"truth\", elaborated from the awareness of class and literature, built up to 1943, year when he finishes his writing. In a period marked by the end of the Second World War and more specifically by the Resistenza Italiana, in which the intellectual participated actively, the novel recovers the years that preceded such historic events, composing a historic arc that takes place from 1930 to 1937. The second way has emerged from the elaboration of a translation proposal to Il Quartiere, in a dialogue with some theories of translation that, by enlightening important aspects of the book, have revealed themselves as metaphorical processes of the work itself. The aim of the results hereby presented intend to suggest that esthetics performed by acts of language - conveys the ethic of Vasco Pratolinis collective vocation, recognized in the languages spoken in the neighborhood that tell us more about in than we estimate.

Orientador: Luiz Roberto Velloso Cairo / Banca: Álvaro Santos Simões Junior / Banca: Marilu Martens Oliveira / Resumo: O presente trabalho tem por objetivo central a leitura da obra do historiador e crítico literário Afrânio Coutinho (1911-2000), bem como a apresentação de seu método crítico, ressaltando o seu pensamento a respeito da literatura como fenômeno estético, fugindo da abordagem positivista, que estudava o fenômeno literário a partir de valores extrínsecos como a biografia do autor, o contexto histórico no qual este estava inserido, dentre outros, sem levar em consideração os fatores intrínsecos do mesmo. Além disso, traça-se um panorama analítico das histórias de literatura brasileira publicadas antes e depois d'A Literatura no Brasil, com considerações a respeito de seus autores. Motivou a realização do trabalho, a necessidade sentida de uma releitura da obra de Afrânio Coutinho, salientando que A Literatura no Brasil, sua principal obra, é um projeto escrito a várias mãos, o que faz dela um vasto painel de múltiplas visões, que leva o leitor à absorção de um número maior de pontos-de-vista a respeito do fato literário. / Abstract: The present dissertation has the work of the literary critic and history scholar Afrânio Coutinho (1911-2000) as its central point, as well as the presentations of his critical method, emphasizing his thoughts about literature as an esthetic phenomenum, leaving behind the positivist approach which studied the literary work from extrinsic values like the author's biography, the historical context in which the work was inserted, among other values, without taking its intrinsic values into account. Besides this, an analytical map of the histories of the Brazilian literature published before and after. A Literatura no Brasil is done, with considerations about its authors. The need to reread the work of Afrânio Coutinho motivated the accomplishment of the dissertation, emphasizing the A Literatura no Brasil, his main work, is a project written by many hands, which makes it a vast panel of multiple visions, that leads the reader to the absorption of a larger number of point-of-view concerning the literary act. / Mestre

Ferreira / Resumo: Embora Marina Colasanti (1937) seja considerada pela crítica especializada como um dos expoentes da literatura infantojuvenil brasileira, tendo sua produção nesse segmento sido publicada desde o início da década de 1980 até o momento presente, ainda é bastante assistemático o estudo da fortuna crítica sobre a obra da escritora. O presente trabalho toma por objeto uma amostra significativa da produção acadêmica sobre a produção literária da escritora, debruçando-se tanto sobre dissertações e teses que analisam a obra infantojuvenil de Marina Colasanti quanto aquelas que se voltam aos textos literários que têm sido endereçados prioritariamente aos leitores adultos, considerando-se que, por vezes, esses dois universos literários se apresentam mesclados. Vinte trabalhos acadêmicos constituem o corpus deste trabalho, tendo sido identificado por meio do Banco de Dados da Capes e da consulta a bibliotecas físicas e virtuais de diversas Universidades. Do ponto de vista metodológico, o corpus recebeu um tratamento homogêneo para a coleta de dados, tendo sido submetido a uma grade (ou "tabela") composta por 15 diferentes categorias que orientaram o estudo de cada tese ou dissertação. Essa análise sistemática propiciou que, como resultado da pesquisa, se tenha chegado a uma espécie de balanço sobre a fortuna crítica, em que é possível divisar quatro principais tópicos de que se ocupam os estudos críticos sobre a obra de Marina Colasanti, segundo diferentes perspectivas teóricas: o específico feminino; o mito; a linguagem poética; e o amor / Abstract: Although Marina Colasanti (1937) is considered by the critics as one of the exponents of Brazilianchildren and youthful literature, and having her production, in this segment, publishedsince the outset 1980s until this moment, still is very unsystematic the study of literary criticismon the writer's work. This work takes as object a significant sample of academic productionabout the literary production of the writer, leaning on dissertations and on theses that analyzethe Children's and the youthful work of Marina Colasanti, as those that turn to literarytexts that have been priority addressed to adult readers, considering that, sometimes, these twoliterary universes are shown merged. Twenty academic papers constitute the corpus of thiswork, it has been identified through the database Capes and the query at physical and virtuallibraries of various universities. From a methodological point of view, the corpus received ahomogeneous treatment for data collection, have been subjected to a grid (or "chart") composeof 15 different categories that guided the study of each thesis or dissertation. That systematicanalysis propitiated, as research results, concludes in a kind of balance on the criticalfortune, being possible sight four main topics that concern to the critical studies on the workof Marina Colasanti, according to different theoretical perspectives: the female specific; themyth; the poetic language; and the love / Doutor

Com os objetivos de contribuir para a compreensão de uma história da literatura infantil no Brasil, focaliza-se a produção escrita do jornalista, escritor e historiador Leonardo Arroyo (1918-1985) sobre e de literatura infantil. Mediante abordagem histórica, centrada em pesquisa documental e bibliográfica, desenvolvida por meio dos procedimentos de localização, recuperação, reunião, seleção e ordenação de fontes documentais e leitura de bibliografia especializada, elaborou-se dois instrumentos de pesquisa nos quais estão contidas as referências de textos de e sobre Leonardo Arroyo e as referências de texto de Leonardo Arroyo de e sobre literatura infantil. Dentre os textos localizados, foram selecionados para análise da configuração textual o conjunto de textos referênciados no segundo instrumento de pesquisa por serem os mais representativos em relação aos objetivos da pesquisa. (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: In this thesis, we present results of a PhD in Education from the Faculty of Philosophy and Sciences of the Universidade Estadual Paulista, Marília-SP campus, linked to the "History of Children and Youth Literature" line of the Research Group and the Integrated Project of Research "History of Teaching Language and Literature in Brazil", both coordinated by Maria do Rosário Longo Mortatti. With the aim of contributing to the understanding of a history of children's literature in Brazil, it focuses on the written production of the journalist, writer and historian Leonardo Arroyo (1918-1985) on children's literature. Through a historical approach, centered on documentary and bibliographical research, developed through the procedures of localization, retrieval, meeting, selection and ordering of documentary sources and reading of specialized bibliography, two research instruments were elaborated in which are contained the references of texts Of and about Leonardo Arroyo and Leonardo Arroyo's text references and about children's literature. Among the localized texts, we selected for textual analysis the set of texts referenced in the second research instrument because they are the most representative in relation to the research objectives. This analysis made it possible to understand that Leonardo Arroyo 's written production of and about children' s literature presents aspects of a certain conception of children 's literature that are directly related to the movement of constitution of this literary genre as a subject of research and field of specific knowledge in the Brazil (MORTATTI, 2011). It also allowed us to understand that Arroyo contributed to the ordering and systematization of a version of the history of children 's literature that has not been challenged until the present day and also with the formulation of a concept of children' s literature as a cultural production destined to the infantile... / Doutor

Contudo, a leitura de todas as suas obras, somada ao estudo de parte de sua fortuna crítica, indicava também outro elemento importante de sua poética: sua crítica social. Com isso, chegou-se à seguinte questão: como a literatura intersemiótica de Osman Lins se realiza e, ao realizar-se, contribui para avançar as fronteiras de seu trabalho, sem perder a perspectiva ético-social desse autor? A tese está dividida em cinco capítulos e três partes. Na primeira parte, o capítulo um apresenta as obras de Osman Lins e o capítulo dois destaca os processos de bricolagem, metaficção e intertextualidade. Na segunda parte, o capítulo três enfoca os procedimentos de intersemioticidade, em especial nas obras da segunda fase do escritor, expandindo as fronteiras de seu discurso literário; o quarto capítulo trata da imagética presente em uma das narrativas de Nove, novena, intitulada "Retábulo de Santa Joana Carolina". Na terceira parte da tese, demonstramos como os procedimentos intersemióticos são decisivos por contribuírem para a realização do compromisso ético do autor, compromisso que se efetiva em sua crítica social / Abstract: The initial hypothesis of this research suggested the existence of intersemiotic procedures in the literary discourse of the writer Osman Lins (1924-1978). However, the reading of all his works, in addition to the study of their critical reception, also indicated another important element of his poetics: his social criticism. Thereafter, the following question was raised: how is Osman Lins' intersemiotic literature performed and how does it contribute for stretching the boundaries of his work, without losing the author's ethical and social perspective? This thesis is divided into five chapters and into three parts. In the first part, the chapter one presents Osman Lins' works and the second chapter focuses on the processes of bricolage, metafiction and intertextuality. In the second part, the chapter three focuses on the intersemiotic procedures, especially in the works of the second period of the writer, which expands the boundaries of his literary discourse; the fourth chapter deals with the imagery that is present in one of the narratives from Nove, Novena, entitled "Retábulo de Santa Joana Carolina". In the third part of this thesis, we demonstrate how intersemiotic procedures are crucial once they contribute for the accomplishment of the ethical commitment of the author, which becomes effective through his social criticism / Doutor

Esse número significativo demonstra a importância da escritora e a necessidade de estudos que abarquem o conjunto de sua produção. Após a seleção e a análise sistemática de 23 obras juvenis publicadas pela escritora, segundo uma grade comum, composta por categorias de variada natureza, foi possível compreender como seu projeto literário se delineia de modo geral, apontando características comuns a suas narrativas voltadas aos jovens, por meio de um discurso feminista e emancipador. Para alcançar o objetivo traçado, realizamos uma leitura crítica das narrativas, apoiada especialmente em bibliografia teórica focada nas estreitas relações entre literatura e sociedade (Antonio Candido, Regina Zilberman, Vera Teixeira Aguiar, dentro outros) e entre literatura e crítica literária feminista (Elaine Showalter, Judith Butler, Lúcia Castello Branco, Lúcia Zolin e outras teóricas), questionando o conjunto da obra de Stella Maris Rezende no que possui de representativo da literatura juvenil nacional e da literatura feminista. Na pesquisa realizada, além do estudo das obras, uma a uma, em que se procurou chegar a tendências dominantes da literatura juvenil da escritora, com especial ênfase na análise das diversas instâncias da estrutura geral das narrativas e o estudo global da representação do feminino em sua obra, foi real... (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: Stella Maris Rezende (1950), Brazilian writer from Minas Gerais, has already been awarded several literary awards in her career, with 40 books published from 1979 to 2017. This significant number demonstrates her importance and the need for studies that cover her production. After the selection and systematic analysis of her 23 young-adult books proceeding from a common pattern composed by categories of varied nature, it was possible to understand how her literary project is delineated in a general way, pointing out common characteristics among her narratives directed at the young reader through a feminist and emancipatory discourse. In order to achieve this goal, we did a critical reading of the narratives, supported especially by research studies focused on the relations between literature and society (Antonio Candido, Regina Zilberman, Vera Teixeira Aguiar, among others), and literature and feminist literary criticism (Elaine Showalter, Judith Butler, Lúcia Castello Branco, Lúcia Zolin, among others academics), questioning Stella Maris Rezende's work as representative of the national young-adult and feminist literature. Besides the study of Rezende's work, one by one, in which it was tried to signalize dominant tendencies of her young-adult books, with special emphasis in the analysis of diverse instances that can be seen in the general structure of her narratives and a global study concerning the feminine representation in her work, a detailed survey based on critical resources about Stella Maris Rezende and the biographical data available about her was carried out, which make up the first chapter of this thesis. In the second chapter, we discussed the influence of the publishing market on art, in general, and in youth literature specifically.
