This research aims at understanding the effects that Ministry of Education implements the Recurrent Education of in-service master programs in every university. Investigate the adult learners from in-service master programs, specially in the learners¡¦ learning motivations, participation barriers and learning satisfactions in order to the reference which carries out the effort as inspecting.
The process of this research¡G Firstly, investigate the learning motivations, participation barriers and learning satisfactions of in-service master program students. Secondly, understand the relationships between (1)the demographics and learning motivations¡Bparticipation barriers and learning satisfactions ,and (2) learning motivations¡B participation barriers and learning satisfactions. Finally, suggest some advises forward on the policy for Recurrent Education of in-service master programs.
For supporting the above-mentioned purposes, I used questionnaire investigation method to collect the material data. The currently register students are 1278, particularly in 92nd school year, and the effective samples are 337.Describing statistics, exploratory factor analysis, secondary confirmatory factor analysis and path analysis were used to analyze and explain the raw data.
Research tells:
¡]1¡^The learning motivations¡Bparticipation barriers and learning satisfactions are related to certain items of demographics.
¡]2¡^The higher learning motivation which in-service master program students have, the more learning satisfaction they get. The participation barrier is higher and the lower learning satisfaction is. The participation barrier can influence the learning satisfaction through the learning motivation, that means the learning motivation is a intervening variable.
The research suggests:
¡]1¡^ Set up the scholarship of in-service master programs to keep the fair position of the students.
¡]2¡^ Legislate the paid educational leave.
¡]3¡^ Strengthen the promotion of educational programs for the expansion of adult learners¡¦ participation.
¡]4¡^ Redistribute educational resources .
¡]5¡^ Have the flexible years of studying and set up the transfer systems.

This study aims to describe and analyze how the development of technology and social change came to influence the Faculty of Science and Technology which during the fall of 2000 launched two new master programs in engineering. These programs were of a new kind where elements which traditionally had not been a big part of such educations made up a uniquely large part of the content. The ambition is to show how and why these elements came to be increasingly sought, and what they consisted of. To do this a study of meeting protocols from the elementary education committee from the years before the programs started was made. In these protocols the goal was to, from a perspective of technological development and social change, analyze how the contents of these programs were discussed. This was also connected to a perspective of education and learning – what should be taught during education and why?

Previous issue date: 2010-11-03 / The inclusion of higher moments in CAPM has been discussed in recent decades. This work performs an empirical test of the model extended to the third and fourth moments, in which the skewness and kurtosis are also priced. This test was based on Generalized Method of Moments (GMM) procedures, in which all the moment conditions derived from the theoretical model. The data used were the daily returns of the most liquid Brazilian stocks between 2004 and 2006. / A inclusão de momentos superiores no apreçamento de ativos do modelo CAPM vem sendo bastante discutido nas últimas décadas. Esse trabalho realiza um teste empírico para o modelo CAPM estendido para os 3o e 4o momentos, no qual as assimetrias e curtoses dos ativos também são apreçadas. O teste foi realizado utilizando o Método Generalizado dos Momentos (MGM), em que todas as condições de momento derivam do modelo teórico. Os dados utilizados foram os retornos diários das ações mais negociadas na Bovespa entre 2004 e 2006.

Previous issue date: 2012-12-19 / This dissertation proposes to examine the central issues related to the elaboration and implementation of an academic (stricto sensu) master program. The opening of an academic master program in Law by FGV DIREITO RIO, focus on Regulatory Law, represents a trademark in innovation and pioneering, since it will be the first program as such to be offered in Brazil. Moreover, it will assist in meeting demand for training of researchers in the State of Rio de Janeiro, which currently has only nine academic (stricto sensu) master programs accredited by the Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (Capes). The team responsible for drafting the proposal conducted a research on the nine academic master program available, as well as a detailed examination on the basic premises and required features necessary to submit a formal proposal for the opening of a new academic master program respecting the norms and procedures established by the Capes. The preparation of FGV DIREITO RIO`s academic master program proposal was only possible by adjusting it to the policies of its research centers which confirms the preparation of high-level researchers able to associate solid scientific basis to collaborate in the solution of national and global issues. Thus, to achieve these goals, it was also essential to gather efforts from all research centers to provide FGV DIREITO RIO with their expertise and knowledge resulted from their scientific projects under development. / A presente dissertação tem como objetivo oferecer um estudo sobre as questões centrais para a elaboração e implementação de um curso de pós-graduação stricto sensu nível mestrado. A proposta de abertura de um mestrado acadêmico em Direito, com área de concentração em Direito da Regulação pela FGV DIREITO RIO é marca de inovação e pioneirismo, pois será o primeiro a ser oferecido no Brasil. Além disso, auxiliará no atendimento de demanda de formação de pesquisadores no Estado do Rio de Janeiro, que atualmente possui apenas nove programas stricto sensu credenciados pela Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (Capes). A equipe responsável pela elaboração da proposta realizou uma pesquisa sobre os nove cursos de mestrado oferecidos, bem como um detalhado estudo sobre as premissas básicas e as características necessárias para submissão de uma proposta de abertura de mestrado com base nas normas e procedimentos estabelecidos pela Capes. A elaboração da proposta só foi possível por ajustar-se às políticas dos Centros de Pesquisa da FGV DIREITO RIO que corrobora os objetivos de formação de pesquisadores de alto nível, aptos a associar sólida base científica para colaborar na solução das demandas nacionais e globais. Assim, para consecução destes objetivos, foi fundamental a união de esforços dos quatro centros de pesquisa responsáveis por alimentar a Escola com os diversos projetos em desenvolvimento.
