This study examines the situation of environmental education and the issue of media - the radio and television - in the public school of elementary school, as a mediator in the construction of knowledge and citizenship. The study was conducted in four schools in environmental areas - Laguna Complex Mundaú Manguaba (Pontal da Barra district) and APA of Catolé (Tabuleiro district) - the city of Maceió / Alagoas, which already have experience in Environmental Education. With the objective to understand the relationship between the media - radio and television - the research seeks to answer the question of how schools should deal with the environmental education to contribute to the development of a critical consciousness and how the radio and television are used in school to change this situation. Uses the historicalcritical methodology and presents as subjects of research, teachers and students of the school from the analysis of their speeches and records to verify that Environmental Education is embedded in the pedagogical work in view of the construction of ecodevelopment and whether the media - TV and radio - potentiate the political and pedagogical production. Its theoretical basis is based on author's environmental movement, environmental education, the Brazilian government's policies and use of media in education. The results show the need for more effective interdisciplinary action in the process of continuing education, work training for educators, mainly for the use of media in schools, promoting changes in the curriculum, including community and institutional policies, which include the transformation of the social context of environmental crisis to promote the ecodevelopment. / Este estudo analisa a situação da Educação Ambiental e a questão da mídia o rádio e a televisão na escola pública de Ensino Fundamental, como instrumento mediador na construção do conhecimento e da cidadania. O estudo foi realizado em quatro escolas situadas em territórios ambientais Complexo Lagunar Mundaú Manguaba (bairro do Pontal da Barra) e APA do Catolé (Bairro do Tabuleiro) da cidade de Maceió/Alagoas, que já desenvolvem experiências de Educação Ambiental. Tendo como objetivo compreender a relação entre as mídias rádio e televisão a pesquisa busca responder à questão de como a escola deve tratar a Educação Ambiental de forma a contribuir para o desenvolvimento de uma consciência crítica e como o rádio e a televisão são utilizados na escola para modificar esse quadro. Utiliza a metodologia histórico-crítica e apresenta como sujeitos de pesquisa, professores e alunos da escola a partir da análise de suas falas e registros no sentido de verificar se a Educação Ambiental está inserida no trabalho pedagógico na perspectiva da construção do ecodesenvolvimento e se as mídias rádio e TV potencializam essa produção político-pedagógica. Sua base teórica apoia-se em autores do movimento ambientalista, da Educação Ambiental, políticas do governo brasileiro e uso de mídias na educação. Os resultados mostram a necessidade de uma ação interdisciplinar mais eficaz no processo de educação continuada, trabalhando a formação dos educadores, principalmente para a utilização das mídias na escola, promovendo mudanças no currículo, incluindo articulações institucionais e comunitárias, que contemplem a transformação do contexto social de crise ambiental para a promoção do ecodesenvolvimento.

Islamophobia is today more prevalent in society and is actually within social sciences. It can be visualized in events such as the Swedish NATO-application and its complications with the burnings of the Quran. It is therefore important that in Swedish schools, students and teachers can treat each other with respect and have a mutual understanding towards each other. The aim of our study is mainly to examine why and how islamophobia is expressed in four different schools from the teachers perspectives. We are focusing on qualitative interviews with the teachers that are from homogen and multicultural schools in Sweden. We have also accounted for the ethical aspects like anonymity and confidentiality. Furthermore, the search engines used for the studies about islamophobia are EBSCO, Swepub and LIBRIS. Our studies shine light on the ethical dilemmas and the teachers strategies regarding islamophobia, but as well as individual safety and integrity. As a result, the studies showed that islamophobic expressions differ between the different schools. In conclusion, it is encompassed by similar reasons. Social identity and media affects islamophobia because they can give an angled image about this specific subject. Conversely, to prevent islamophobia, it is needed to teach with respect and with criticism of the sources as well as having multicultural classrooms. Accordingly, the social sciences play a critical role to form engaged and conscientious citizens in the society.

Die Thematisierung der Potenziale und Risiken von internetbasierten Technologien und Inhalten im schulischen Bereich ist von enormer Wichtigkeit. Gut ausgebildete Lehrerinnen und Lehrer können ihren Schülern die gewinnbringenden Möglichkeiten näher bringen, ohne die Gefahren außer Acht zu lassen. Leider sind Lehrkräfte die auf diesem Gebiet Kenntnisse besitzen immer noch in der Minderheit. Ihre Kenntnisse haben die meisten privat erlangt, d.h. ohne direkten Bezug auf einen didaktischen Mehrwert für den Unterricht.

The thesis focuses on school media that are created by students and teachers at schools. The project's introduction briefly defines basic terms and main types of school media. Specifics of the single school media and their content are shortly described. Following chapters are devoted to history and development of school media in the few past years at our territory. The theory part lists the most frequent topics chosen for school media along with factors of motivation that influence media creation. Part of the thesis deals with selected school documents, specifically 'Educational Framework Program' where stress is put on possibilities to use school media during the lessons of media education at elementary and secondary grammar schools. Second part of the thesis focuses on a specific case study where results from the research are presented. In the research it selfone type of school media, school TV of Secondary Grammar School in Pribram, is deeply analysed. The goal of the research is to investigate the course of preparation, planning and realization of the school reporting. At tempt of the thesis is also to describe what kind of students are becoming school reporters and why, last but not least what is the technical equipment of the school and what is the response of the school media audience.

This diploma thesis examines the possibilities of involving school librarians and information specialists in the process of growth in media literacy at Czech schools. The theoretical part of the thesis briefly introduces the general issues of media education and media literacy in our country and abroad, while the practical part of the thesis based on its own research, focuses on a particular target group - Prague secondary schools ("gymnázium"). Using a questionnaire and five case studies conducted at selected secondary schools in Prague, it conducts a survey of the current situation of implementation of media education in the Czech Republic. The end of the thesis deals with some ideas of how to involve graduates of the Institute of Information Studies and Librarianship in teaching media education according to the American model of a "teacher librarian".
