Výchovné metody mongolských kočovníků. Zvyklosti ve vybraných lokalitách / Educational Methods of Mongolian Nomads. Habitual practice in selceted localities

Makúch, Branislav January 2013 (has links)
This study describes the contemporary educational methods of Mongolian nomads from chosen sample locations of the Hangai mountains. It has been completed on the basis of three field research trips conducted in these locations. Recordings of guided interviews and notes based upon involved observation serve as the source material for this study. Mongolian culture is at a turning point, as it is influenced by many elements of the world of Western civilization as well as by modern technologies; these latter are becoming a part of the nomad's daily life to an ever greater extent. These elements are revealed through the comparison of past and contemporary educational methods, children's games and the recollections of elder nomads. It also reveals itself in the comparison of past and contemporary educational institutions. Nevertheless, traditional culture and certain aspects of ethno pedagogy still remain very much alive. It is largely the elders who regard these traditions with much esteem and try to pass them down to younger generations.

Psychometrically Equivalent Monosyllabic Words for Word Recognition Testing in Mongolian.

Haslam, Valarie Nicole 08 June 2009 (has links) (PDF)
The purpose of this study was to record a set of Mongolian monosyllabic word lists that could be used to obtain a word recognition score. A word list was developed of 190 frequently used monosyllabic words which had been selected by a group of raters. Native male and female Mongolian talkers were utilized to make digital recordings. The 190 words were divided into 10 lists of 19 words. The lists were presented to 20 normally hearing subjects at 10 different intensity levels ranging from -5 to 40 dB HL in 5 dB increments. An S-curve distribution was used to divide the words among three lists based upon the results of the word recognition testing. Word lists were assembled formulating 3 lists of 50 words and 6 half-lists of 25 words using an S-curve distribution. Logistic regression was used to calculate the psychometric functions for each list. The mean psychometric function slopes for the male and female word lists were 6.19%/dB and 5.17%/dB respectively. The 50% threshold was 14.47 dB HL for the final adjusted male and female lists.

Development of Psychometrically Equivalent Speech Audiometry Materials for Testing Children in Mongolian

Caldwell, Meghan Elizabeth 07 August 2009 (has links) (PDF)
The purpose of this study was to develop, digitally record, evaluate, and equate Mongolian monosyllabic and bisyllabic child-appropriate words which can be used in the measurement of word recognition scores and speech-reception threshold (SRT) in children who are native speakers of Mongolian. Based on data collected from a survey of Mongolian child language professionals, a subset of child-appropriate materials was adapted from a set of materials developed for Mongolian adults. Two lists of 50 monosyllabic words and four half-lists of 25 words each were developed for testing the word recognition abilities of Mongolian children. The developed lists and half-lists were found to be statistically equivalent in terms of audibility and psychometric slope, with average psychometric function slopes (at 50% intelligibility) of 6.41 %/dB for the male recordings and 5.84 %/dB for the female recordings. Given the structure and limitations of the study, a valid set of child-appropriate SRT materials could not be developed. It is likely that the inability to obtain a subset of SRT words was due in part to large differences between the mean PTA of the subjects and the threshold for 50% intelligibility, as well as the inability to represent most of the selected words pictographically. However the information gained from this study provides additional insight that may aid the future development of child-appropriate Mongolian SRT materials. Digital recordings of the resulting psychometrically equivalent child- appropriate speech audiometry materials are available on compact disc.

La Mongolie et ses rapports avec le monde et la France depuis 1990 : influence internationale sur la politique mongole / Mongolia and its relationship with the world and France since 1990 : international influence on Mongolian politics

Gonchig, Khishig-Erdene 13 June 2017 (has links)
This thesis analyzes the internal and external political, economic and constitutional life of Mongolia since its democratic revolution. This small country mainly relies on its natural resources and willing to develop its cooperation with other countries, which have rich experiences in mining. Analyses on foreign direct investment in Mongolia show the impact of domestic legislation: laws on the exploration and exploitation of natural resources, protection of the environment, and strategic ranking of natural resource sites etc. The thesis attempts to explain Mongolia's current relations with foreign countries and tries to predict the future in light of the commitments to international organizations and bilateral and multilateral agreements. This thesis puts into perspective the concept of "third neighbor" in Mongolia's foreign policy: the search for the support of a third power, which is a virtual neighbor (ie without geographical proximity) sharing the same democratic values. Moreover, it tries to explain in detail, the bilateral relations between Mongolia and France, its privileged "third neighbor". It highlights the human and territorial relations between France and Mongolia that allow for good relations at a higher level irrespective of economic and political problems. Finally, as the very first thesis on Mongolian foreign relations, namely with France, it aims to serve as a reference base for those interested in Mongolia.

Toxicological studies show that adult rats, when exposed to high doses of phthalates during sexual differentiation, exhibit several reproductive anomalies, such as agenesis of the epididymis and reduction in daily sperm production. Data show that exposures to 2mg/kg/day of DBP during gestation and lactation periods are enough to impair the development of the male germ cells. Furthermore, there are reports that EDC contribute to the increase of the adipogenesis by altering cell signaling of adipocytes and lipid metabolism. It is known that the male obesity can affect semen quality and increases infertility rates. Whereas that phthalates can accumulate in adipose tissue, we were interested in evaluating the effects of prolonged exposure to low doses of DBP and possible interferences of excess dietary fat for testicular function and spermatic parameters of adult gerbils. Adult female gerbils, fed high-fat (20% fat) or balanced diet (4% fat) for eight weeks, were mated with normal males. The male offspring was divided into control (C), di-n-butyl phthalate (Ph), high-fat diet (HF) and high-fat diet plus di-n-butyl phthalate (HFPh) groups. DBP (5 mg/kg/day) was administered in drinking water to pregnant and breastfeeding mothers and to offspring from weaning up to adulthood (14-week-old). Testis response was evaluated by means of microscopic and stereological analyses, sensitivity of its major cell populations to androgens and estrogens, steroidogenic capacity and spermatic efficiency. We also examined the effects on sperm reserves, sperm transit time through the epididymis and sperm motility. Alone, low doses of DBP resulted in obesity and dislipidemy at adulthood. No histological change was observed in testicular structure of these animals, but there was reduction in intratesticular estrogen synthtesis, resulting in a tendency to decrease in sperm production. The decrease in intratesticular estrogen after lifetime DBP exposure was accompanied by a ~70% increment in ER? content in the testis, that might be an adaptative response to low estrogen levels. Chronic intake of high-fat diet did not induce obesity in aldult gerbils, but led to a slight decrease in spermatic efficiency. This decrease was not associated with changes in testicular structure or steroidogenic capacity, because serum or intratesticular testosterone and estrogen concentrations were not altered, but it can be linked to an unbalanced in androgen receptor signaling, since it was observed a decrease in AR content. The combined exposure to high-fat diet and to low doses of DBP acted synergical and negatively on intratesticular testosterone synthesis, impairing the spermatic efficiency and increasing the sperm transit time. The sperm motility was not changed in isolated or combined exposures. This study demonstrated that fat nutritional environment may adversely affect the response of testes to phthalates, and provide new informations for understanding the consequences of exposures to ECD in decreasing human sperm counts and fertility / Mestrado / Biologia Celular / Mestra em Biologia Celular e Estrutural

A STUDY OF ACCULTURATION IN CHINESE-MONGOLIAN <em>ER’RENTAI</em> FOLK OPERA

Shao, Luyin 01 January 2017 (has links)
Er’rentai, or Mongolian dance and song duets, is a genre of folk opera in the Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region. Er’rentai performances can be categorized into two styles—the “western-style” and the “eastern-style.” The aim of this thesis is to explore the acculturation in Chinese-Mongolian er’rentai genre in the following ways. First, I address the historical background of the western-style er’rentai. Then, I draw on fieldwork with Huo Banzhu, a famous er’rentai musician, to introduce contemporary state of er’rentai's development. Finally, I employ musical analysis to demonstrate the borrowings of Mongolian music and culture in the formation and transmission of Chinese-Mongolian er’rentai.

Transkulturní péče v praxi porodní asistentky na příkladu mongolských žen v ČR / Transcultural Midwifery Care Focusing on the Mongolian Women Living in the Czech Republic

Hromková, Lucie January 2021 (has links)
The dissertation aims at the issue of transcultural care in the practice of midwives with a specific focus on Mongolian women, who currently represent the fifth largest group in terms of the number of births of foreigners in the Czech Republic. The theoretical framework of the text consists of chapters on nursing with subsequent differentiation of the field with regard to specialized care in the field of gynecology-obstetrics, as well as the divided subdiscipline of transcultural nursing care. An integral part of the theoretical part of the work are the basic general information about Mongolia and the Mongols. The practical part of the work is represented by my own qualitative and quantitative research. Qualitative research was carried out in the field through in-depth interviews with Mongolian women living in the Czech Republic and having experience with their own childbirth in a Czech maternity hospital. The aim of the research was to uncover possible peculiarities and requirements that a midwife may encounter from Mongolian women in the provision of transcultural care related to pregnancy, childbirth and the postnatal period. Additional quantitative research was conducted in the form of a questionnaire survey among Prague midwives and was focused on finding out the awareness, previous experience...

Textová analýza dochovaného textu Tajné kroniky Mongolů / Textual Analysis of the Extant Text of The Secret History of the Mongols

Laurencio Tacoronte, Ariel January 2013 (has links)
Textual Analysis of the Extant Original of The Secret History of the Mongols Abstract The purpose of the present thesis is to analyze every aspect of textual nature present in the Chinese original of the Secret History of the Mongols. The work consists of four chapters that touch issues such as the Chinese characters used for the transcription, their pronunciation and meaning, as well as invented or wrong characters. A list is presented with all the Mongolian syllables obtainable by means of the Chinese transcription system and with all the characters used for this. Subsequently, graphic aspects such as word division or punctuation are examined. The last chapter approaches the glossing system of the Mongolian text used in this work. On the basis of the analysis of the collected data, some plausible assumptions about historical or linguistic issues are advanced, such as the ethnic identity of the author of the transcript or the author of the glosses, the existence of a Mongolian dialect with own characteristics in the Yuan dynasty environment, or the reason why this transcript was glossed, and whether it was done out of an original written in Uyghur script. Keywords: textual analysis, Mongolian language, The Secret History of the Mongols, Yuan Dynasty
