An incarnational Christology set in the context of narratives of Shona women in present day Zimbabwe

Chimhanda, Francisca Hildegardis January 2002 (has links)
Implicit in the concepts Incarnation, narrative, Christology, Shona women of Zimbabwe today is the God who acts in human history and in the contemporaneity and particularity of our being. The Incarnation as the embodiment of God in the world entails seizing the kairos opportunity to expand the view and to bear the burdens of responsibility. A theanthropocosmic Christo logy that captures the Shona holistic world-view is explored. The acme for a relational Christology is the imago Dei!Christi and the baptismal indicative and imperative. God is revealed in various manifestations of creation. Human identity and dignity is the flipside of God's attributes. Theanthropocosmic Christology as pluralistic, differential and radical brings about a dialectic between the whole and its parts, the uniqueness of the individual, communal ontology and epistemology, the local and the universal, orthodoxy and orthopraxis, Christology and soteriology. God mediates in the contingency of particularity. Emphasis is on life-affirmation rather than sex determination of Jesus as indicated by theologies ofliberation and inculturation. At the interface gender, ethnicity, class and creed, God transcends human limitedness and artificial boundaries in creating catholic space and advocating all-embracing apostolic action. Difference is appreciated for the richness it brings both to the individual and the community. Hegemonic structures and borderless texts are view with suspicion as totalising grand-narratives and exclusivist by using generic language. The kairos in dialogue with the Incarnation is seizing the moment to expand the view and to share the burdens, joys and responsibility in a community of equal discipleship. In a hermeneutic of engagement and suspicion, prophetic witness is the hallmark of Christian discipleship and of a Christology that culminates in liberative praxis. The Christology that emerges from Shona women highlights a passionate appropriation that involves the head, gut, womb and heart and underlies the circle symbolism. The circle is the acme of Shona hospitality and togetherness in creative dialogue with the Trinitarian koinonia. The Shona Christological designation Muponesi (Deliverer-Midwife) in dialogue with the Paschal Mystery motif captures the God-human-cosmos relationship that gives a Christology caught up in the rhythms, dynamism and drama oflife. / Philosophy, Practical and Systematic Theology

Lizarraga, Michelle, Rosen, Hanna January 2019 (has links)
The aim of this study is to investigate the existing communicative and informative work on reaching out to citizens about the service concept of governmental service offices which includes the swedish agencies; Skatteverket, Försäkringskassan and Pensionsmyndigheten. The study will be based on the perspective of officials operating within the current area. Furthermore, we also aim to examine which motives and which risks that exist with developing this work in conjunction with the transfer of responsibility to a new authority. The motives are examined from a citizen's perspective with a focus on political communication as a democratic tool in the modern society. The study is based on interviews with managers within the organization of governmental service offices and managers at the new authority - with the purpose to gain their perspectives about this communication aspects. A qualitative text analysis as a method has been used to analyze the interviews. The primary findings of the empirical study show that the public's knowledge about the concept of service offices are low as a result of a limited marketing. It also shows that there are motives to increase the extent of communication and information about the service concept, in order to raise awareness about what services are available at the governmental service offices. On the other hand, the research also indicates issues with an increased marketing of the service offices as service concept, instead of marketing the agencies individually, which requires consideration in the matter.

Avaliação dos níveis de exposição ocupacional ao mercúrio nos consultórios públicos de Araguaína,TO / Evaluation of the levels of occupational exposure to mercury in the public dental offices in Araguaina, TO, Brazil

Xavier, Fernanda Villibor 17 May 2011 (has links)
The aim of this work was to evaluate the occupational risks of exposure to mercury utilized in dentistry, to which dental auxiliaries from the public health system of the city of Araguaína, Tocantins, Brazil are exposed. The dentistry process from the city health system was rigorously studied based on an assessment, in the DATASUS database, of the number of amalgam restorations conducted in the period from January 2003 to December 2009. In this study, we evaluated the storage conditions of mercury residuals in the public dental offices in the studied municipality. Different barrier solutions for the storage of mercury residuals were studied regarding their efficacy in controlling the emission of mercury vapor in the environment. The solution containing ammonia presented the best time of storage of residuals (19 days at 37 °C), followed by the so lution containing photographic fixative (12 days) and the sodium bicarbonate solution (7 days). Based on these information, a profile of the dental auxiliaries actuating in the public dental offices of the city of Araguaína was characterized according to age, sex, level of exposure to mercury and conducted biosecurity procedures. The study allowed the elaboration of a database regarding handling and discard of amalgam residuals, with the purpose to assist public health policies to modify risk situations to which the professionals and/or their patients are exposed. A biological monitoring program was also carried out using as marker the presence of mercury in urine samples (HgU) from members of the dentistry team of the Araguaína public health system and from students from the Araguaína unit of the health care technical school who actuated as dental auxiliaries in other municipalities of the north region of the state (n=91). For comparison, a group of not exposed to mercury was evaluated (n=43), determining their HgU values. The research allowed to conclude that the HgU values from the dentistry team were within the limits set by Regulatory Norm nº 7 by the Brazilian Ministry of Labor (up to 35 gHg.g-1CR). Regarding mercury contamination, the average HgU concentration for the exposed group (5,61 μgHg.g-1CR) was approximately 8 times higher when compared to the values from the not exposed group (0,65 μgHg.g-1CR), making evident the need for a professional training and residuals management program, as well as for a more effective actuation in the realization of periodical biological monitoring in the professionals from the dentistry team.

Transferência de tecnologia universidade-indústria no Brasil e a atuação de núcleos de inovação tecnológica. / University-industry technology transfer in Brazil and the performance of technology transfer offices.

Costa, Carolina Oliveira Martins 12 April 2013 (has links)
After the Innovation Law, from 2004, more than 100 technology transfer offices (TTOs) were created in Brazil in less than six years. This profusion of offices was a step forward in quantity, but not necessarily in quality. Given the importance of innovation for the development and competitiveness of the local economy, it is important to verify ways to optimize the work of TTOs and promote the relationship between industry and academia. This dissertation has as a general objective to identify the relationship between strategy and organization of tasks in the TTOs from Brazilian universities, taking into consideration models present in the literature. Specific objectives are: to confirm the role of the TTO in the transfer of knowledge between university and industry; Identify in the current papers models for TTO management, including organizational strategy and structure; Identify measurable results from TTOs and prioritize them; Verify adequacy of existing models from current papers in the context of the Brazilian innovation system; Verify the work and results of Brazilian TTO, considering points raised above. This analysis will be built upon revision of current papers that touch on the subject of technology transfer offices in Brazil and abroad aiming at identifying models for TTO management, followed by a case study from Brazil. It\'s expected the understanding of if the structure and, in special, the profile of TTOs employees, is aligned with its strategy. Today, there is a lot of focus on production and writing of patents and less in the commercialization of technologies and in the creation of spin-out companies. Research showed that there is a disparity between the support system for innovation in TTOs from the literature and the Brazilian case study, done at the University of Campinas TTO (Inova). To the classic functions of a TTO, must be added the management of regional innovation networks and incentive to the entrepreneur culture at the university, trying to compensate flaws in the local innovation system.
