Σχεδίαση, ανάπτυξη, υλοποίηση και αξιολόγηση ενός συστήματος εξ αποστάσεως εκπαίδευσης : μελέτη περίπτωσης του συστήματος Moodle, για την υποστήριξη της ΘΕ ΠΛΗ37 του ΕΑΠ

Το Moodle είναι ένα ελεύθερο σύστημα διαχείρισης και δημιουργίας δυναμικών, ευέλικτων και ευχάριστων online μαθημάτων. Περιγράφεται ως CMS (Course Management System) ή VLE (Virtual Learning Environment), ενώ η φιλοσοφία του στηρίζεται στη διαπίστωση ότι ο άνθρωπος κατακτά τη γνώση όταν αλληλεπιδρά με το περιβάλλον. Στην παρούσα έρευνα περιγράφεται μία μελέτη περίπτωσης για την οποία μελετώνται η σχεδίαση, η ανάπτυξη, η υλοποίηση και η αξιολόγηση ενός Δικτυακού Περιβάλλοντος Υποστήριξης της Θεματικής Ενότητας (ΘΕ) ΠΛΗ37 του ΕΑΠ, κατά το ακαδημαϊκό έτος 2010-2011. Το Δικτυακό Περιβάλλον της εν λόγω ΘΕ βασίστηκε στην πλατφόρμα Moodle και ο κύριος σκοπός της εργασίας είναι η μελέτη της σχεδίασης και ανάπτυξης καθώς και της εφαρμογής και αξιολόγησης ενός μαθήματος (ΘΕ ΠΛΗ37) σε προπτυχιακό επίπεδο με τη χρήση ενός υπολογιστικού περιβάλλοντος ασύγχρονης εξ αποστάσεως εκπαίδευσης (εξΑΕ), μέσω των αντιλήψεων, των στάσεων και των πρακτικών χρήσης των φοιτητών. Στα πλαίσια της έρευνας μελετήθηκε, επίσης, η συσχέτιση μεταξύ των πρακτικών χρήσης που ανέπτυξαν οι φοιτητές, και των επιδόσεων τους (τελική βαθμολογία) στην συγκεκριμένη ΘΕ. Για το σκοπό αυτό έγινε χρήση ερωτηματολογίου, πραγματοποιήθηκαν ατομικές συνεντεύξεις αλλά και αξιοποίηση των αρχείων καταγραφής που παρείχε το Moodle. Τα αποτελέσματα της έρευνας έδειξαν ότι υπήρξε άμεση συσχέτιση των πρακτικών χρήσης που ανέπτυξαν οι φοιτητές με τις επιδόσεις τους και ότι οι φοιτητές απέκτησαν θετική στάση αναφορικά με τη χρήση της πλατφόρμας Moodle. / Moodle is a free Course Management System that allows the creation of dynamic, flexible and pleasant online courses. It is described as CMS (Course Management System) or VLE (Virtual Learning Environment), while it’s philosophy is supported in the ascertainment that the person conquers the knowledge when they interact with their environment. In the present research a case study is described, for which the designing, the development, the implementation and the evaluation of a network environment of EAP Thematic Unit PLI37 support is studied, during academic year 2010-2011. The network environment of the Thematic Unit was based on the Moodle platform and the main aim of this work is the study of the course (PLI37) designing and development, as well as its implementation and evaluation. This will be accomplished with the use of an environment of asynchronous remote education via the perceptions, the attitudes and the methods of the use of students. During the research the correlation between the methods of use that was developed by the students, and their records (final grades) in the particular Thematic Unit was studied thoroughly. For this reason, a questionnaire was used, individual interviews were conducted and there was exploitation of log files that were provided by “Moodle”. The results of this research showed not only that there was immediate relation between the (method of use) that the students developed with their records, but also that the students acquired positive attitude towards the use of Moodle.

Το Σύστημα Διαχείρισης Μαθησιακών Δραστηριοτήτων LAMS είναι ένα διαδικτυακό εργαλείο για τη δημιουργία και διαχείριση ακολουθιών μαθησιακών δραστηριοτήτων με στόχο την υποστήριξη της σύγχρονης και ασύγχρονης μαθησιακής διαδικασίας. Στην παρούσα έρευνα περιγράφεται μία μελέτη περίπτωσης για την οποία μελετώνται η σχεδίαση, η ανάπτυξη-υλοποίηση και η αξιολόγηση κατάλληλων ακολουθιών μαθησιακών δραστηριοτήτων με το LAMS στα πλαίσια της Θεματικής Ενότητας (ΘΕ) ΠΛΗ37 του ΕΑΠ κατά το ακαδημαϊκό έτος 2010-2011. Οι ακολουθίες μαθησιακών δραστηριοτήτων διατέθηκαν στους φοιτητές μέσω της πλατφόρμας ασύγχρονης και εξ αποστάσεως εκπαίδευσης (εξΑΕ) Moodle της εν λόγω ΘΕ και ο κύριος στόχος τους ήταν η υποστήριξη των φοιτητών στην εκπόνηση των δύο (2) πρώτων γραπτών εργασιών (ΓΕ) τους. Στα πλαίσια της έρευνας μελετήθηκαν οι αντιλήψεις και οι στάσεις των φοιτητών αναφορικά με τις μαθησιακές δραστηριότητες LAMS, η συμμετοχή τους στις δραστηριότητες αυτές, καθώς και οι γραπτές επιδόσεις τους στις δύο (2) πρώτες ΓΕ της συγκεκριμένης ΘΕ. Για το σκοπό αυτό, οι φοιτητές συμπλήρωσαν ανώνυμο ερωτηματολόγιο και συμμετείχαν σε ατομικές συνεντεύξεις μετά το πέρας της ΘΕ, ενώ αξιοποιήθηκαν τα αρχεία καταγραφής τόσο του LAMS όσο και του Moodle. Τα αποτελέσματα της έρευνας έδειξαν ότι οι φοιτητές εξέφρασαν θετικές αντιλήψεις και απέκτησαν θετική στάση αναφορικά με τις μαθησιακές δραστηριότητες LAMS, ενώ επίσης, παρατηρήθηκε θετική γραμμική συσχέτιση της συμμετοχής τους στις συγκεκριμένες μαθησιακές δραστηριότητες και των επιδόσεών τους στις αντίστοιχες ΓΕ. / The Learning Activity Management System LAMS is a web tool for creating and managing sequences of Learning Activities in support of synchronous and asynchronous learning process. This research describes a case study which examined the design, development-implementation and evaluation of appropriate sequences of learning activities with LAMS, in the PLI37 course of the Hellenic Open University, during the academic year 2010-2011. These sequences of learning activities were available to students through the asynchronous distance learning platform of Moodle, aiming to support the students in the preparation of their first two written tasks. The research examined the conceptions and attitudes of students regarding the learning activities of LAMS, their participation in these activities and their written performance in the first two written tasks. For this purpose, the students completed an anonymous questionnaire and participated in individual interviews after the end of the course, while the log files of LAMS and Moodle were also evaluated. The results showed that students expressed positive conceptions and acquired positive attitudes towards the learning activities of LAMS, while a positive linear correlation between the participation in the learning activities and the performance in their respective written tasks was also observed.

A metodologia adotada para a aquisição dos dados desta pesquisa envolveu a leitura e a análise do arcabouço legal que institui o Sistema UAB, o que caracteriza este estudo como uma pesquisa documental. Além disto, foram aplicados questionários aos coordenadores de polos, os quais acompanham cotidianamente as atividades desenvolvidas pelas Instituições de Ensino Superior (IES) responsáveis pela oferta dos cursos. O resultado da pesquisa vem reforçar a premissa básica de que a expansão da oferta de cursos superiores a distância por meio da modalidade a distância é um fato inconteste. Mais do que isto, verifica-se que a abertura de vagas por instituições públicas devidamente credenciadas para a modalidade a distância confere credibilidade ao Sistema UAB e reforça o discurso em defesa da universidade pública e gratuita. The general objective is to evaluate procedures to make feasible the offer of remote courses. The methodology adopted to conduct this study regarded the reading and evaluation of the legal backbone which established the Open University system. Querstionaries were distributed to the coordinators, who are hands on and directly involved in the activities at shop floor level. The main conclusion is that undoubtedly, distant education is growing, moreover, the involvement of the federal official educational system confers credibility of the open university system and emphasizes the discourse over the public and free education. The research shows the need of establishment of clear rules and precise conditions for the remote centers located in the State of Paraná, with adequate infra structure to continue the offer of courses with a quality standard of the UAB open university system.

ELEMENTOS PARA A EDUCAÇÃO DE PESSOAS VELHAS / Elements for the education of older people.

As a consequence, the question arises: Who are the professionals responsible for the education of the elderly? There is a teacher training specific to old people? From these questions, we sought a methodology that would favor this research. I chose a qualitative study, consisting of literature review, document analysis, observations and field diaries and interviews. In order to highlight elements that could contribute to think, question and discuss the education of people of various old documents analyzed UnATIs run, I tried to investigate, identify students / educators and the / the two programs UnATIs run, trying to discuss the contents, prioritized themes and goals of these programs, in addition to student motivation / as well as the dynamics of teaching practice with older people. After data analysis and effort to establish connections, mediations and contradictions with the theory concludes that educators old people must have the technical skills, scientific and policies to carry out its activities, so training in gerontology becomes recommendable. A striking aspect well in educational practice with older people is affection, both in terms between educator / student ae / ae among students / as. The research also showed me that the exchange of life experiences that also have emotional aspects involved in this process is critical teaching and learning. Other significant elements are: the language of the educator / a, the character of the proposed activities that should result in immediate and practical benefit and the prospect of enhancing and / or mediate the construction of citizenship and autonomy. The data collected allow me to say that old people who seek programs aimed at seniors, are not only in search of adaptation to social reality, but to be active in this process, intervention and transformation of their realities. / Considerando o aumento da perspectiva de vida e o engajamento dos idosos pela busca de seus direitos e as políticas públicas existentes, notei a expressiva demanda na área da educação para essas pessoas, com vistas à universalização do acesso ao saber, consequentemente, à abertura de programas de Universidades Abertas da Terceira Idade. Como uma consequência, surge as perguntas: Quem são os profissionais responsáveis pela educação de idosos? Existe uma formação de educadores específica para pessoas velhas? A partir destas questões, buscamos uma metodologia que favorecesse esta pesquisa. Optei por um estudo qualitativo, composto por pesquisa bibliográfica, análise de documentos, observações e diário de campo e entrevistas. No intuito de apontar elementos que pudessem contribuir com o pensar, questionar e problematizar a educação de pessoas velhas analisei documentos de várias Unatis, procurei investigar, identificar os alunos/as e educadores/as de dois programas de Unatis, procurando discutir sobre os conteúdos, temáticas priorizadas e objetivos destes programas, além da motivação dos alunos/as bem como a dinâmica da prática pedagógica com pessoas velhas. Após a análise dos dados e esforço em estabelecer as conexões, mediações e contradições com a teoria, conclui que os educadores de pessoas velhas devem possuir as competências técnicas, científicas e políticas para o desempenho de suas atividades, portanto, uma formação em gerontologia se faz recomendável. Um aspecto bem marcante na prática educativa com pessoas velhas está a afetividade, tanto no que se refere entre educador/a e aluno/a e entre os alunos/as. A investigação também me mostrou que a troca de experiências de vida que também possuem aspectos afetivos envolvidos é fundamental neste processo de ensino aprendizagem. Outros elementos significativos são: a linguagem do educador/a, o caráter das atividades propostas que devem resultar em benefício imediato e prático e a perspectiva de reforçar e/ou mediar a construção da cidadania e da autonomia. Os dados coletados me permitem afirmar que as pessoas velhas que buscam os programas voltados à terceira idade, não estão em busca somente de adaptação a realidade social, mas sim de serem ativas nesse processo, de intervenção e transformação de suas realidades.

Reproduction of this sociability and the dominant ideology marks the dominated class, which affects the sale reflects the marginalization and vulnerability of the subject. Emana the need to emancipate the subject, to be aware of the society in which it appears and moves that enable the transformation. In the current social model, we can achieve political emancipation through a training action with emancipatory principles. Education enables the questioning of reality and the instrumentalization from knowledge. In this context we observe the situation of the elderly, such as the difficulties he faced. Discussions about aging are in evidence, since this is a global trend. In Brazil there are 25 million seniors (IBGE, 2013). Although a significant number, there are still prejudices through a negative stereotype of old age. Although they have been implemented public directed to the elderly policies (welfare, health, nutrition and educational processes), in practice have not been guaranteed its effectiveness, however, among the actions prescribed in the Elderly, it highlights the importance of higher education institutions offer educational activities for the elderly which have spread throughout the country. This research is characterized as qualitative, being grounded from the materialist dialectic, and has as its object the educational activities for the elderly developed by projects / courses in Public Institutions of Higher Education Paranaenses. It appears as problematic: The educational programs for the elderly developed by projects / courses Public Paranaenses higher education institutions fulfill their educational function and contribute to political emancipation of the elderly? The objective of the research is to analyze the educational activities for the elderly developed by projects / courses in Public Higher Education Institutions Paranaenses as strategies for political emancipation of the elderly, founded on the concept of lifelong education. The thesis is defended: Educational actions developed by Paraná public IHE through UATI, fulfill their educational function and contribute to the political emancipation of the elderly. The research is based on Furter (1976), Gadotti (1984, 2012), Konder (2009), Marx (2006, 2009, 2011), Mészáros (2006, 2008), Oliveira (1998, 1999) and Tonet (2012, 2013 ). For data collection were questionnaires with open and closed questions for the elderly of the Open University for the Third Age of the state's public higher education institutions, totaling 146 subjects from 7 institutions: UEPG (19 seniors), UNESPAR / Paranagua (18), UNICENTRO / Irati (19), UNICENTRO / Guarapuava (20), UNIOESTE / Foz do Iguaçu (16), UEM (22) and UFPR (32). Questionnaires were applied with open and closed questions for teachers of UATI, totaling 25 subjects 6 educational activities. The teachers of an institution did not respond to the questionnaire. There was also the questionnaires with open and closed questions for the coordinators. 7 of the coordinators of the UATI of the state's public higher education institutions, 5 answered the questionnaire. As a result the research shows that the educational activities for the elderly aim emancipatory processes, even though they have no such name on your goals. Developed work enable the upgrade, self-esteem increase, improvement in quality of life and social inclusion of the elderly. Even with limitations, education for seniors contributes to the awareness of the elderly, can be glimpsed political emancipation from the dialectical relationship between education, man and society. / A sociedade capitalista é marcada por contrastes sociais, educacionais, econômicos e políticos. A reprodução desta sociabilidade e da ideologia dominante marca a classe dominada, o que repercute na alienação, reflete na marginalização e na vulnerabilidade do sujeito. Emana a necessidade de emancipar o sujeito, para que tenha consciência da sociedade em que está inserido e dos movimentos que possibilitam a transformação. No modelo social vigente, pode-se atingir a emancipação política, por meio de uma ação formativa com princípios emancipatórios. A educação possibilita a problematização da realidade e a instrumentalização a partir do conhecimento. Neste contexto se observa a situação do idoso, tal como as dificuldades por ele enfrentadas. As discussões acerca do envelhecimento estão em evidência, pois este processo é uma tendência mundial. No Brasil há 25 milhões de idosos (IBGE, 2013). Embora seja um número expressivo, ainda persistem preconceitos por meio de um estereótipo negativo da velhice. Apesar de terem sido implantadas políticas públicas voltadas ao idoso (assistência, saúde, alimentação e processos educativos), na prática não foram garantidas sua efetividade, porém, dentre as ações prescritas no Estatuto do Idoso, destaca-se a importância de instituições de ensino superior oferecerem ações educativas aos idosos as quais têm se disseminado pelo país. Esta pesquisa caracteriza-se como qualitativa, sendo fundamentada a partir da dialética materialista, e tem como objeto as ações educacionais para o idoso desenvolvidas por projetos/cursos nas Instituições de Ensino Superior Públicas Paranaenses. Apresenta como problemática: As ações educacionais para o idoso desenvolvidas por projetos/cursos das Instituições de Ensino Superior Públicas Paranaenses cumprem sua função educativa e contribuem para emancipação política dos idosos? O objetivo da pesquisa é analisar as ações educacionais para o idoso desenvolvidas por projetos/cursos nas Instituições de Ensino Superior Públicas Paranaenses, enquanto estratégias para emancipação política do idoso, fundamentadas na concepção de educação permanente. A tese defendida é: As ações educacionais desenvolvidas pelas IES públicas paranaenses, por meio das UATI, cumprem sua função educativa e contribuem para a emancipação política do idoso. A pesquisa está fundamentada em Furter (1976), Gadotti (1984, 2012), Konder (2009), Marx (2006, 2009, 2011), Mészaros (2006, 2008), Oliveira (1998, 1999) e Tonet (2012, 2013). Para coleta de dados foram aplicados questionários com questões abertas e fechadas para idosos das Universidades Abertas para a Terceira Idade das IES públicas paranaenses, totalizando 146 sujeitos das 7 instituições: UEPG (19 idosos), UNESPAR/Paranaguá (18), UNICENTRO/Irati (19), UNICENTRO/Guarapuava (20), UNIOESTE/Foz do Iguaçu (16), UEM (22) e UFPR (32). Foram aplicados questionários com questões abertas e fechadas para os professores das UATI, totalizando 25 sujeitos de 6 ações educacionais. Os professores de uma instituição não responderam ao questionário. Houve também a aplicação de questionários com questões abertas e fechadas para os coordenadores. Dos 7 coordenadores das UATI das IES públicas paranaenses, 5 responderam ao questionário. Como resultados a pesquisa aponta que as ações educacionais para idosos visam processos emancipatórios, embora não apresentem tal denominação em seus objetivos. Os trabalhos desenvolvidos possibilitam a atualização, elevação de autoestima, melhoria na qualidade de vida e inserção social do idoso. Mesmo com limitações, a educação para a terceira idade contribui para a conscientização do idoso, podendo-se vislumbrar a emancipação política a partir da relação dialética entre educação, homem e sociedade.

This study presents an analysis of specific policies that have guided the expansion of distance education in Brazil, focusing on an analysis of the constitution and deployment of the Open University of Brazil, who now plays the role of management in the context of public participation in the form of distance education. The labor organization is stretched by a historical survey of Brazilian education in which we contemplate the beginnings of Distance Education, a construction of the foundations law governing this type since 1996 and a broad description of the main policy in this area, the University System Brazil Open. During the study it was observed that the actions that made all the necessary apparatus for the expansion of educational services in the form of distance education is based on policy positions and always in accordance with the views of international bodies suggested as a mechanism to address emergency the national indices of education the use of new information technologies and communication. It says that using this type of education is in line with the directions that emphasize liberal conception of state minimum for social policies and the economic environment, the large-scale production to reduce costs, including the actions of education. It also analyzes some of the work of the Open University of Brazil in the context of Brazilian higher education and how policies were being forwarded in this sector for the Open University of Brazil came on the scene and began to compose the Brazilian education, by expanding the role of modality Distance education in the country. / As políticas públicas têm sido amplamente discutidas no meio acadêmico, principalmente as que permeiam a área educacional. Este estudo apresenta uma leitura específica sobre as políticas que têm norteado a expansão da Educação a Distância no Brasil, tendo como foco uma análise do processo de constituição e implantação da Universidade Aberta do Brasil, que hoje desempenha o papel de gestora no contexto da participação pública na modalidade de Educação a Distância. A organização do trabalho está alçada por um levantamento histórico da educação brasileira, no qual se contempla os primórdios da Educação a Distância, uma construção das bases legais que regulamentam esta modalidade, a partir de 1996, e uma descrição ampla da principal política implantada nesta área, o Sistema Universidade Aberta do Brasil. No decorrer do estudo observou-se que as ações que compuseram todo o aparato necessário para a expansão do atendimento educacional na modalidade de Educação a Distância está pautada em posicionamentos políticos e sempre de acordo com as concepções dos organismos internacionais, que sugerem como mecanismo emergencial para corrigir os índices nacionais da educação o uso das novas tecnologias da informação e comunicação. Assim, aponta-se que o uso desta modalidade de educação está em consonância com os direcionamentos neoliberais que priorizam a concepção de Estado Mínimo para as políticas sociais e, no meio econômico, a produção em alta escala para redução de custos, inclusive nas ações de educação. É parte das análises também a atuação do Sistema Universidade Aberta do Brasil no contexto do ensino superior brasileiro, como as políticas foram sendo encaminhadas neste setor para que a Universidade Aberta do Brasil entrasse em cena e passasse a compor a educação brasileira, expandindo a atuação da modalidade de educação a distância no país.

Στην παρούσα έρευνα επιχειρείται η διερεύνηση των προτιμώμενων τρόπων μάθησης των μεταπτυχιακών φοιτητών στα προγράμματα σπουδών του Ελληνικού Ανοικτού Πανεπιστημίου «Σπουδές στην Εκπαίδευση» και «Εκπαίδευση Ενηλίκων», στο πλαίσιο της εξ αποστάσεως εκπαίδευσης. Ως ερμηνευτικό πλαίσιο της έρευνας χρησιμοποιείται η θεωρία της εμπειρικής μάθησης του Kolb. Η συλλογή των δεδομένων στηρίχθηκε στη μέθοδο της επισκόπησης, με εργαλείο μέτρησης το ερωτηματολόγιο. Από την ποσοτική επεξεργασία των εμπειρικών δεδομένων διαπιστώνεται η τάση των μεταπτυχιακών φοιτητών προς τον συγκλίνοντα μαθησιακό τύπο. Τα αποτελέσματα δείχνουν ότι η μεθοδολογία της εξ αποστάσεως εκπαίδευσης εμπίπτει στις προτιμώμενες μαθησιακές συνθήκες του συγκεκριμένου μαθησιακού τύπου. / This research focuses on the attempt to look into the learning preferences of Hellenic Open University’s post graduate students, in the fields of “Education” and “Adult Education”, that they study in the context of open and distance learning methodology. The interpretative context of the research is formed by Kolb’s theory of experiential learning. The research method is based on the questionnaire. The quantitative processing of data ascertains the tendency of post graduate students towards convergent learning style. The results demonstrate that the methodology of open and distance education, as a learning environment, supports the preferences which associate with convergent learning style.
