Foram entrevistadas vinte empresas localizadas no Brasil para analisar como stakeholders e recursos e capabilidades organizacionais influenciam as empresas na adoção de práticas gestão de operações de baixo carbono. Os principais resultados do estudo foram: a) Fornecedores, governo e clientes são os principais stakeholders que agem como barreiras, enquanto que acionistas/proprietários e clientes agem como motivadores/drivers; b) Questão financeira e atitude dos empregados são os principais recursos que agem como barreiras; a questão financeira também é entendida como motivador/driver juntamente com a responsabilidade social e ambiental e a vantagem competitiva que a organização possui quanto à adoção das práticas de baixo carbono; c) O principal mecanismo de resposta para barreiras utilizado pelas empresas é superar, seguido de reduzir e aceitar; para as motivações/drivers, as empresas melhoram e exploram os fatores que as impulsionam na adoção das práticas - aceitar não é um mecanismo de resposta adotado pelas empresas. Além disso, esse estudo vai além de um diagnóstico de barreiras e motivações/drivers ao, também, traçar diretrizes organizacionais em busca de uma gestão de baixo carbono através da compreensão dos mecanismos de resposta identificados nas empresas estudadas, para, assim, superar eventuais inércias organizacionais. / The aim of this study is to identify and analyze, from the perspective of stakeholder theory and natural resource-based view, as factors considered barriers and motivations have influenced the adoption of practices of low carbon operations management for companies located in Brazil. Twenty companies located in Brazil were interviewed to analyze how stakeholders and organizational resources and capabilities influence companies to adopt practices of low carbon operations management. The main results of the study were: a) Suppliers, government and clients are the main stakeholders that act as barriers, while shareholders/owners and clients act as drivers; b) Financial question and employees attitude are the main resources that act as barriers; the financial question is also understood as driver along with the social and environmental responsibility and the competitive advantage that the organization has in the adoption of low carbon practices; c) The main barrier response mechanism used by companies is to overcome, followed by reducing and accepting; for drivers, companies improve and exploit the factors that drives them in adopting practices - accepting is not a response mechanism adopted by companies. Moreover, this study goes beyond a diagnosis of barriers and drivers; it also draws organizational guidelines in search of a low carbon management through the understanding of the response mechanisms identified in the studied companies, in order to overcome eventual organizational inertia.

Hypothesis tests were made to verify the proportional growth of a given area over the decades to the detriment of the areas of facility layout, capacity planning, production scheduling and inventory management. Six journals were selected and from them more than 800 articles were used for classification and analysis in the grounds of review. It also discussed possible ways for future research and comparisons are made with other papers of literature review. As a result, it was found that areas of heuristics and simulation showed a greater quantity of contributions in all POM areas of this study / A presente pesquisa tem como objetivo investigar a evolu??o apresentada durante tr?s d?cadas (1980, 1990 e 2000) do uso das ferramentas de Pesquisa Operacional (PO) como aux?lio ? tomada de decis?o em Gest?o da Produ??o e Opera??es (GPO). Mitigating Barriers on Artificial Intelligence Pre-adoption in Forecasting : A case Study in a Manufacturing Firm

Introduction: To predict the future, how a coming day, week, or month will look has become even more crucial than ever for a firm, due to recent pandemic crises, and wars. Being able to predict the future will enable firms to reduce costs and increase time efficiency. Processes such as forecasting have been at the forefront to aid managers in these matters by improving decision-making and planning. Greater forecasting capabilities have been achieved by adopting technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI). As it has shown to aid practitioners in predicting the future with high accuracy. Thus, leading to improved decision making and planning. Problem discussion: AI is still in its infancy, and technology adoption is a staged-based process. More research is needed to identify the potential barriers a firm faces when looking to adopt AI into their forecasting process. As well as how these barriers are mitigated, and what barriers are relevant depending on the stage of adoption. Purpose and Research question: The purpose of this study is to investigate the barriers of AI pre-adoption in forecasting and how these barriers are mitigated. To answer the following research question: How does a manufacturing firm mitigate AI pre-adoption barriers in the forecasting process? Method: First, a scoping review is conducted to identify barriers in AI adoption with the support of the TOE framework, (Technological, Organizational, and Environmental). Later, the thesis follows a qualitative approach, conducting a single case study. The primary source of empirical data was collected from five in-depth semi-structured interviews. The data is collected from an international manufacturing firm located in Sweden that is looking to adopt AI-ML into its forecasting process. The findings collected from the firm are later discussed with an expert in the field of AI and forecasting to further bring validity and input to the findings. Findings: Organizational readiness, Top management, Poor data, Inappropriate technology infrastructure, and Partnership were identified as key barriers in the AI-ML pre-adoption for the forecasting process. The barrier could be mitigated by building a strong business case, creating managerial awareness and understanding, interactive data platform, comprehensive dataset, and incentives. Conclusion: The study provides theoretical contributions as well as managerial implications. By shedding light on the barriers in the pre-adoption phase and providing insight as to how to mitigate the barriers. Future research is recommended to study the same phenomena at another firm.

This diploma thesis is focuses on management in private and public kindergarten. The aim of the thesis is find out specifics of management in two different preschool institutions. Diploma thesis is consisting of theoretical and practical parts. First part of theoretical thesis inform about public and private sector briefly. The main topic of theoretical part is describing different functions of management, which are important for the functioning of the school. It includes the areas of school management, school funding, but also personnel management. Furthermore, it is also focuses on the legislative conditions, curricular documents and qualifications of leaders in pre primary institutions include their rights, obligations and competences. The end of the theoretical part is describing cooperation with the founders and parents, which is one of the most important factors affecting the quality of kindergarten. Practical part of diploma thesis contains two case studies of two preschool institutions. These institutions are similar in their size, number of classes, capacity of children and number of employees, but they are different in their founders. Развлечения (музыка и спорт) являются ключевой культурной категорией. Однако определение развлечения может различаться в зависимости от концепции и подхода. Используется на тех, кто спрашивает. В этом отчете представлено понимание развлечений в трех ключевых областях. Развлечение характеризуется коммерческой бизнес-моделью в индустриальном дискурсе. В оценочных дискурсах, используемых потребителями и критиками, это понимается через эстетическую систему, которая отдает предпочтение эмоциональной вовлеченности, сюжету, скорости. Несмотря на то, что развлечения являются одной из центральных категорий, используемых производителями и потребителями культуры, они не были ключевым организующим понятием в научных кругах гуманитарных наук. Это имело важное значение в психологии, где развлечение определяется как все, что человек находит развлечением в солипсической манере. Синтезируя эти подходы, авторы предлагают межотраслевое определение развлечения как «коммерческая культура, ориентированная на аудиторию». / Entertainment (music and sport) is a key cultural category. Yet the definition of entertainment can differ depending on the concept and approach used upon whom one asks. This report maps out understandings of entertainment in three key areas. Entertainment is characterized by a commercial business model in industrial discourse. Within evaluative discourses used by consumers and critics, it is understood through an aesthetic system that privileges emotional engagement, story, speed. Despite being one of the central categories used by producers and consumers of culture, entertainment has not been a key organizing concept within academia in the humanities. It has been significant in psychology, where entertainment is defined as anything that an individual finds entertaining in a solipsistic manner. Synthesizing these approaches, the authors propose a cross-sectoral definition of entertainment as an ‘audience-centered commercial culture’.

O objetivo principal do presente trabalho consiste em analisar possibilidades de elevar a qualidade do sistema de saúde público e suplementar do estado do Rio Grande do Sul à luz do sistema dinâmico em que se inserem. Os objetivos específicos são: Mapear o sistema de saúde, por meio do pensamento sistêmico, e propor pontos de alavancagem à qualidade do sistema de saúde pública do RS; e Analisar a aderência aos critérios do Managed Care e de inovações em gestão de saúde, pelos atores “operadora de plano de saúde” e “hospital”. A dissertação é formada por dois artigos, cada um entregando um objetivo específico, e por capítulos adicionais que consolidam a entrega do objetivo geral. Quanto aos procedimentos metodológicos, a pesquisa parte de um paradigma positivista e orienta-se qualitativamente, fazendo uso de entrevistas, análise documental, coleta de dados secundários em bancos de dados de acesso público, análise por julgamento em dinâmica de grupo multidisciplinar e modelagem. Como resultados obteve-se a construção de um mapa que evidencia os atores e as relações desse sistema dinâmico, possibilitando a identificação de possíveis cenários, pontos de alavancagem e a sugestão de estratégias para auxiliar no aumento da qualidade do sistema de saúde pública do RS, bem como a construção de uma ferramenta, no caso, um questionário, por meio do qual foi possível verificar que os atores hospitalares contatados encontram-se mais aderentes do que as operadoras de plano de saúde contatadas com relação às boas práticas de gestão orientadoras do estudo. Argumenta-se que um sistema integrado de gestão, padronizado, empregado de forma sistêmica, com auxílio de estratégia organizacional, de inovações e com foco na cadeia de valor, contempla aspectos assistenciais, econômicos e competitivos, desses atores e, como consequência, pode contribuir para que as operadoras e hospitais possam aumentar a qualidade dos serviços prestados. / This work examines how to improve quality in health services, both in the public system and in supplementary health, more specifically, in health insurance companies and hospitals in the state of Rio Grande do Sul (RS). The main goal of the present work is to improve quality for the public and supplementary health systems in the state of Rio Grande do Sul under the dynamic system they are included into. Specific goals are: Mapping the health system through systemic thinking, proposing points of leverage regarding the quality of the public health system in RS; and analyzing the compliance with the Managed Care criteria and innovation in health management by the players, namely, “health insurance companies” and “hospitals”. The work is composed of two articles, each delivering a specific goal, and by additional chapters that consolidate the delivery of the general goal. As for the methodological procedures, the research develops from a positivist paradigm and it is based on a qualitative perspective, making use of interviews, document analysis, secondary data collection in public-access databases, analysis based on multidisciplinary group dynamics assessment and modeling. As a result, this led to the creation of a map that highlights players and relations of this dynamic system, allowing for the identification of possible scenarios, points of leverage, and the suggestion of strategies to help improve the quality of the public health system in RS, as well as the awareness that contacted hospital players were found to be more compliant than the contacted health insurance companies as far as good management practices that guided this study are concerned. We argue that a integrated and standardized management system, which is systematically used, with the help of organizational strategies, innovation, and a focus on the value chain, takes into account assistance-related, economic, and competitive aspects of these players and, as a consequence, it may contribute to improve quality to services provided.

Integrace operačních středisek v rámci Krajského ředitelství policie Jihočeského kraje / Integration of operations centres in the South Regional Police Headquarters Region

As the topic of my diploma work I chose the issue of integration of operation centers in the jurisdiction of the Directory of Czech Police of the South Bohemian Region. This topic was chosen with regard to my job in the police of the Czech Republic and also with the assumption to assess the current state of the operation management in the jurisdiction of the Directory of Czech Police of the South Bohemian Region and compare it with the newly proposed integrated centre which should be created within the framework of integration of existing regional operation centres, evaluation of communication of operations centres within the framework of the integrated rescue system and within the framework of the police of the Czech Republic itself at different levels of operation management. The aim of my thesis is to describe the current state of workplaces of operation centers of the police of the Czech Republic and to assess their integration into a single operation center in the teritory of the South Bohemian region. I analyze the situation from the viewpoint of conduct, management and personal security and I assess material-technical security. Last but not least it's about confirming or refuting the hypothesis that was formulated before i started the thesis. This thesis stems particularly from internal act of conduct of the police of the Czech Republic and from the current legislation. Aims of my work are summarized in the capter Discussion which was preceded by description of the current state of operation centers and their function in the framework of operation conduct. Comparing the current and the suggested solution from the viewpoint of conduct, management, personal security, economic and material-technical security and physical integration. The formulation given by the hypothesis was confirmed based on the comparison carried out in the study of the current state and the prepared state, and seems to be effective. Because of the introduced measures that are realized by integration of the current operation centers into one, the effectivity will be increased.
