Along with the popularization of the SMS (Short Message Service) as a communication tool among big companies, such as flight and train companies, post offices and banks, a new branch started to take place in the mobile communication industry: bulk-SMS business. The companies send the SMS to their costumers through an aggregator, which in turn send the SMS further to the customers’ mobile phone. The aggregator consequently needs to monitor the SMS traffic constantly so they can assure good quality of their services. In case of an interruption in the system, their support group needs to be notified directly, so the problem can be fixed straightaway. The aim of this project was to develop an application integrated to the intranet of a company that works in the business of bulk-SMS (CLX Networks), in order to replace the current monitoring system, called OpenNMS. The system was developed using Zend Framework (PHP) and MySQL database.The project resulted in an application that allows the administrator to configure alarms and notifications and to add clients and suppliers accounts to the monitoring system. Whereas the interaction between the user administrator and the system is already implemented, the connection between the system and the CDR- and RR-database is still under development.

Arbetet handlar om utveckling av ett e-learningsystem och hur man kan säkra koden förframtiden. Dessutom handlar det om att undersöka en möjlig implementation av standardenSCORM samt att ta fram en ny databasmodell.Efter förundersökning togs beslutet att genomföra projektet som ett API i grunden medtestdriven utveckling och tillhörande dokumentation. De tekniker som användes var; HTML,CSS, XML, PHP, MySQL, Javascript, och Codeigniter.Resultatet blev som förväntat förutom att det inte gick att återanvända koden i den utsträckningsom först uppskattades utan istället återanvändes idéer och problemlösning. / This thesis is about an e-learning system and how to secure the code for future development. Inaddition, it is about a conceivable implemention of the SCORM standard and to develop a newdatabase model.After preliminary investigation it was decided to proceed with the project as an API and to usetest-driven development and also to write documentation. The techniques used were: HTML,CSS, XML, PHP, MySQL, Javascript, Codeigniter.The result was as expected except that it was not possible to reuse the code in the extent whichwas first estimated, but instead re-use ideas and how to solve problems.

Detta examensarbete är gjort på uppdrag av Fiber Optik Valley. Huvuduppdraget i projektet var att skapa ett fungerande betalningssystem för en hotspot och att utveckla företagets webbsida. Hotspotsystemet som baserades på en gratistjänst från Public IP, är tänkt att kunna fungera delvis autonomt utan ägarens ingripande. Företagets webbsida skapades i en Flex2-utvecklingsmiljö och produkten blev en Adobe Flash-applikation. För att få ett dynamiskt och konfigurerbart system skapades även en kontrollpanel till webbsidan åt företagets webbadministratörer, så att innehållet på sidan ska kunna förändras utan att behöva kompilera om koden. Kontrollpanelen säkrades också med en inloggningsprocess. Som underliggande motor och som ersättning för brister i Flash-funktionaliteten, användes Simple PHP-tjänster mellan Flash-applikationen och PHP-skripten på servern. Betalningssystemet utvecklades med hjälp av PHP, MySQL och JavaScript. I systemet ingår PayPal’s IPN-tjänster för penningtransaktioner och validering av transaktioner. En självständig AMP-server, Apache2, MySQL och PHP5.0, lades till hotspotsystemet för att minska behovet av att ha en webbsida på ett externt webbhotell. / This graduation work was done as a assignment from Fiber Optic City company based in Hudiksvall Sweden. The base assignment was to create an automated payment system for a Hotspot network and a company web page. The hotspot system should work as a standalone service. The company has already a working free-of-charge service that is offered to its customers and is based on Public IP system. The company webpage was done with the help of a development suite called Flex2 and the result was an Adobe Flash application. To increase webpage dynamics a second page was developed for the company to have the ability to change and configure the main company webpage. An authentication service was deployed to configuration page to increase its security. As an engine and a substitute for lack of functionality and security in Adobe Flash simplePHP web service was used to connect Flash with a PHP script on its server. The payment system was developed with the help of PHP, MySQL and JavaScript. The system uses Paypal IPN service for money transaction and transaction validation A standalone web server with Apache2, PHP 5.0 and MySQL was deployed to the hotspot system to reduce the need of having an authentication system on a commercial Internet based web hotel.

Den här rapporten är baserad på ett examensarbete som är gjort för Hemsida24 där uppgiften var att skapa ett webbaserat system för att grafiskt visa statistik om deras kunder. Det skapade statistiksystemet har fått namnet Hemsida24 Analytics.I rapporten redovisas hur ovan nämna statistikverktyg har kommit till, samt hur det fungerar. Kundstatistiken visas på ett stilrent sätt med hjälp av amCharts flashbaserade grafer. Baserat på information från Hemsida24:s databas beräknades kundstatistiken och visades därefter i grafer. Programmeringen av Hemsida24 Analytics har i största hand gjorts objektorienterat i PHP. Utöver PHP har Zend Framework, MVC, MySQL, HMTL, CSS och jQuery haft en viktig roll under projektets gång. I graferna finns möjligheten att visa framtida prognoser. För att räkna ut prognoser för graferna används både linjära ekvationer och andragradsekvationer. I rapporten redovisas det slutgiltiga resultatet i jämförelse med projektplaneringen och en tidigare framtagen skiss. Det ges även förslag på eventuell fortsatt utveckling av Hemsida24 Analytics.

Den här rapporten behandlar ett examensarbete där målet var att programmera en projektdatabas och projektöversikt åt Milton Medicinteknik KB. Syftet var att dess projektgrupper ska kunna komma åt att granska sina filer samt se filernas relationer med varandra, genom inloggning på en hemsida. Språken som användes var MySQL för att hantera databasen, PHP för att kommunicera mellan hemsidan och webbservern, HTML för att formatera webbsidorna och ActionScript 3 som är Flash programmeringsspråk för att programmera projektöversikten.   I huvuddelen av rapporten är det beskrivet hur projektöversikten och projektdatabasen fungerar. Från hemsidan kan man ladda upp filer som hanteras av projektgrupper och användare med rätt rättigheter. Det finns tre typer av behörighet som användarna kan ha: Administratör som kan skapa användare och projektgrupper, projektledare som ansvarar för sin egen projektgrupp samt vanliga användare som endast kan ladda upp och länka filer i sin egen projektgrupp. Projektöversikten tillåter att användarna på ett överskådligt sätt kan se hur filerna som de har rättighet att se är länkade med varandra, lägga till och ta bort egna filer samt se deras innehåll.

Abstract Security threats against computer systems are a big problem today which also includes PHP made applications. The report is focused on protection with the help of code and not how you protect a web server. Its purpose is not to educate the readers of the thesis how to make a PHP application, the purpose is how to program a safer PHP application. The thesis contains information about common security threats against PHP scripts. It contains in most cases examples of what an attack can look like and how a protection for that example can be achieved. We have tested all code examples if they work by installing our own server with the configurations according to the delimitations of the thesis and putting up small PHP applications, which we have attacked and then protected. The contents and result of this thesis can benefit developers that use PHP as a programming language for creating web applications, by giving them information about common threats and protection.

The project aims to develop a web-based interface for managing an advertisingsystem, development of a mobile application, more specifically an Android application,whose main task is to present advertising. The Android application issupposed to run on an Android device which is connected to a TV or monitorfor viewing slides, consisting of the advertises. The web interface is developedin PHP, HTML, and CSS while the Android application is developed in a Javabasedlanguage. The project aims to develop an easy to use and cost effectivealternative to the existing systems available in the market today. The project isdeveloped as a "proof of concept" and is delimited to the creation of an Androidapplication with features to launch the application automatically, set up the device, and viewing slideshows with advertises. The web-based system is delimitedto manage business/customers , users, devices , slides , and slides. The projectalso focused on security, primarily in the form of licenses (number of units)and unauthorized access to other customers. The objectives of the project areconsidered to be fulfilled in that a functioning Android application has been developed,as well as a completion of the web-based interface with previouslysaid features.

The objective of this study is to evaluate performance of four popular PHP frameworks Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter and Phalcon together with the plain PHP. The decision of making this study was based on the fact that there is a lack of comparison tests between the most popular PHP frameworks. Visiting the official websites of these frameworks, the first thing to notice is the slogans that have been made by the core teams. The majority of these slogans contain quality attributes like speed and high performance. As a developer looking for performance in your next project, choosing the right PHP framework by these slogans is not that easy. Therefor, the performance of these frameworks is put to the test. And to do that, three experiments are conducted in which five functionally equivalent PHP applications are developed and used as targets. One version of these applications represents the plain PHP and the other four represent the four mentioned frameworks. The experiments are conducted in two sessions. The first session deals with the execution time and the stack trace measurements while the second one is covering the measurement of the memory usage consumption. The result outcome of these experiments has been analyzed and interpreted in order to expose the performance of the targeted frameworks. The experiment results prove that the targeted frameworks perform differently compared with each other and the PHP stack. Plain PHP and Phalcon are performing well while the other three frameworks have both mediocre and low performance.

Jag har gjort en webbsajt åt företaget Kök.Ett i Älmhult. Kök.Ett är en köksbutik som bland annat ritar och säljer kök. Jag har byggt upp den allra största delen av hemsidan i Flash, och kompletterat med PHP och kopplat till en databas (MySQL). Sidan är komplett med ett eget administrationssystem. Sidan har en dynamisk känsla som inriktar sig på att inspirera besökaren, och föra besökaren/kunden ett steg närmare Kök.Ett och dess anställda. I’ve built a website for the company Kök.Ett in Älmhult, Sweden. Kök.Ett creates drawings and sells kitchens. I’ve built the site mostly in Flash, and used PHP where needed.
