Aktuelle Einblicke in interdisziplinäre Fachinformations-Portale werden gegeben. Gewährt wird ein Einstieg in das Forschungsgebiet der Telekommunikation. Die notwendigen Ausstattungen eines Fachportals wie z.B. Klassifikationen, Links auf relevante Webseiten usf. werden erörtert.

Öffentliche Bibliotheken stehen bei der Erfüllung ihres gesellschaftlichen Informationsund Bildungsauftrages in einer hochtechnisierten Wissensgesellschaft vor ganz neuen Herausforderungen. Die Bibliotheksentwicklungskonzeption (BEK) der Leipziger Städtischen Bibliotheken (LSB) ist Grundlage für Qualität und Quantität der Bibliotheksarbeit und reagiert in ihren regelmäßigen Fortschreibungen auf aktuelle Entwicklungen. Festgeschrieben sind darin auch der Ausbau der Online-Angebote und die Förderung des lebenslangen Lernens.

As part of its quest to become the first digital African city, in 2014 the City of Cape Town adopted an open data policy, which was later coupled with an open data portal to make government data available for public access. This was touted as a novelty initiative as the City of Cape Town was the first African city to implement a policy of this nature. This open data initiative aimed at enhancing transparency and accountability as well as promoting inclusive economic participation for its citizens. Open data project managers from the city and external industry experts working on open data initiatives were interviewed to understand the current the state of open data within the city and how it worked with other stakeholders. The study draws on these interviews to present the current challenges experienced by the city from the city’s official point of view as well as from open data experts working closely with the city. To understand the practical experiences of how the city publishes data in its platforms, the study also extensively explored the city’s open data portal, as well as examining and commenting on the documented open data policy guidelines contrasted and compared to current practical experiences. To guide the objectives and analysis of the study, four key themes were adopted from literature; context, use, data and impact. Context focused on the overall context or environment at which open data in the city is provided as a public service, while use focused challenges on the uses of open data as well as it is users, data focused on the types of datasets published on the portal as well as the technical challenges in publishing them. Lastly impact looked at the expected benefits and goals of the city’s open data policy. The study through the themes highlighted the ongoing challenges at various levels that the city experience as they implement and develop the open data policy. Overall it was noted that open data was not a goal but continuous challenges were arising daily while implementing and developing the policy- while it was noted that various stakeholders within and outside government had to collaborate to effectively meet the required open data standards.

Målet med examensarbetet var att ta fram en kravspecifikation till KTH:s och ICT:s webbportal avseende utökning av tjänster för förmedling av sommarjobb, mentorskap, studiebesök och projektidéer. Syftet är att beskriva hur de fyra tjänsterna kan fungera i interaktionen mellan användaren och webbportalen. Det hela sammanställdes i en kravspecifikation med hjälp av användarfall. Metoden som valdes för att genomföra arbetet var aktionsforskning. Första steget i metoden var att studera webbportalen och sedan genom intervjuer och diskussioner ta fram användarfallen. Analysen av resultaten visar att ingenting saknas gällande funktionaliteten hos tjänsterna, men det skulle vara bra med ytterligare validering genom att diskutera kravspecifikationen med någon kunnig inom användarfall. / The goal of this paper was to produce a requirements specification for KTH:s and ICT:s web portal regarding the extension of the services intermediation of summer job, mentoring, study visits and project ideas. The purpose of the paper is to describe how the four services can function in the interaction between the user and the web portal. This was compiled into a requirements specification consisting of a number of use cases. The method chosen to conduct the research was action research. The first step of the method was to study the web portal and then through interviews and discussions create the use cases. The analysis of the results shows that nothing is missing regarding the functionality of the services, but it would be good with further validation by discussing the requirements specification with someone knowledgeable in the field of use cases.

The diploma thesis titled "The impact of quality of information on fulfilling the infor- mation needs of users of the "Aspekty náhradní výchovy (ANV.cz)" domain-specific portal" analyzes the information needs of web portal users and evaluates the quality of the in- formation contained therein using a variety of different methods. The thesis summarizes concepts of information of quality and information needs, describes the issues of measuring quality of information and elaborates on the motivation and possibilities of research on in- formation needs and increasing quality of information. The first part of the thesis defines the terms of information behavior, information need and quality of information. This chapter describes the aforementioned concepts, the possibilities of their research, measurement and evaluation and suggests the general relationship between quality of information and fulfil- ling information needs. This part also lists other possible methods of identifying information needs which were not used in the thesis. The second part describes the web portal ANV.cz, especially the circumstances of its creation and development, with an emphasis on its current state and the description of its technical solutions. Der Freistaat Sachsen verfügt über eine reiche historische Überlieferung und vielgestaltige Traditionen. Die dynamische Entwicklung neuer Informationstechnologien in den letzten Jahren hat zahlreiche digitale Angebote beschert. Das betrifft auch den regionalkundlichen Bereich Sachsens. Viele kulturgeschichtlich bedeutsame Grundlagenwerke sind mittlerweile auf einer kaum noch überschaubaren Zahl von WWW-Seiten unterschiedlichster Relevanz enthalten. Auch wenn diese digitalen Angebote den großen Vorteil besitzen, per Internet unabhängig von Ort und Zeit weltweit abrufbar zu sein, so wird man schnell mit dem frustrierenden Nachteil konfrontiert, dass sie vielfach verstreut und schwer auffindbar sind. Auch altehrwürdige Institutionen öffnen ihre Sondermagazine und präsentieren ihre wertvollen Bestände weltweit im World Wide Web. Zugleich verspricht die neue Technik entscheidende Effekte für Bestandssicherung und Bestandserschließung. Orally administered drugs are generally absorbed by the small intestine and transported either to the lymphatic system or to the hepatic portal system. In general, lipid soluble drugs and vitamins are transported by the small intestine to the lymphatics, and water-soluble drugs are transported to the hepatic portal system. By avoiding the early hepatic first pass effect, the lymphatic transport system may increase drug bioavailability. In addition to its transport systems, the small intestine may affect drug bioavailability through drug uptake, intestinal first pass effect, recruitment of drugs by chylomicrons, formation and secretion of chylomicrons, and enterohepatic circulation. All of these factors should be considered when formulating orally administered lipophilic drugs. Our data also suggest that Caco-2 cells may serve as a valuable in vitro model to study the intestinal transport of orally administered drugs.
