Pšenicová, Radka January 2015 (has links)
The specialty of Intensive Care deals with acute conditions from all medical branches within the entire age spectrum of adults. This field has its own distinctive characteristics, which determine the character of not only medical personnel communication with families of hospitalized patients, but the overall quality of nurses' cooperation with relatives. In Czech professional literature in the area of intensive care there is minimum publications on this issue up to date. The task of the current thesis is to map a view of paramedical staff (nurses) on the process of communication and cooperation with family members of patients hospitalized in the intensive care units. The empirical part of the research is processed as a qualitative research by the method of semistructured interviews with nurses from the Intensive Care workplaces. As the result of this work we found inadequate professional readiness of nurses in the fields of communication strategy and approach to the families of patients hospitalized in the intensive care environment. The weak point in this area from the nurse's position is also minimum of information sources that would allow families of hospitalized patients to understand the environment of intensive care and resuscitation better. Kadlecová, Barbora January 2010 (has links)
Thesis titled Commercial communications in czech pharmaceutical industry is about how to use marketing communication tools (advertising, public relations, sales promotion, personal selling, etc.) in the pharmaceutical industry. A specific feature of pharmaceutical marketing is separate communication to public (patients) and to professionals (doctors) which requires using different communication messages and also different channels to each target group. Pharmaceutical marketing is regulated by advertising law, by the Council for Radio and TV Broadcasting and by the provisions of the State Institute for Drug Control which control the ways how two target groups are addressed. Possible marketing tools are described from both theoretical (legal) and also practical (marketing communication of specific pharmaceutical company) terms.

Multidimenzionální pohled na práci dětské sestry v ambulantní sféře dětského oddělení / Multidimensional view on the work of children's nurse in the emergency room of children's ward

PŘÍPLATOVÁ, Iveta January 2019 (has links)
The work of nurses in the outpatient department belongs between discussed topics. The interplay and cooperation of all members of the medical team are especially important. Correct communication between all team members and communication with children and their accompaniment are also a matter of course. The aim of this diploma thesis is to map the work of a nurse in a comprehensive view in the outpatient area of the children's ward, the satisfaction of children and parents in the outpatient area of the children's ward and to suggest possible improvements for the outpatient sphere of the children's ward of České Budějovice a.s. The diploma thesis is processed by qualitatively quantitative investigation using semi-structured interviews, questionnaires and observations. The research group consisted of nurses, doctors, paediatric patients and their accompaniment at the children's ward, paramedics and the general public as well. The interviews were categorized and processed by the method of pencil and paper. Questionnaires were processed statistically. The hidden participating observation was focused on the collaboration and communication of nurses from outpatient department with other nurses, doctors, paramedics, children and their accompaniment; and it was also focused on the satisfaction of the children or their accompaniment at the outpatient department. The results of the work showed that the view of the work of the paediatric nurse is distorted both from the health care professionals and the general public, which means that the nurse is seen mainly as a nursing care provider. The results also showed the necessity of proper communication and knowledge of foreign languages. At the same time, the thesis was used to identify shortcomings or suggestions for changes in the paediatric outpatient department of the České Budějovice Hospital, including the satisfaction of patients and their accompaniment during visiting the department that depends on the time spent in the waiting room. Suggestions for improvement were drawn up, drafted and handed over to the children's ward management.

Psychologické aspekty komunikace mezi lékařem a pacientem v kontextu poskytované péče / Psychological aspects of communication between doctor and patient in context of provided healthcare

Vecánová, Jitka January 2019 (has links)
This thesis focuses on issues of communication between doctor and patient. After a brief introduction of communication in general, the theoretical part focuses on the specifics of doctor-patient communication. It then deals with different factors that influence communication and selected topics connected to communication. The last chapter summarizes several studies focusing on communication training of doctors and its effect. In the empirical part, the semi-structured interviews were used to explore opinions, attitudes and experiences of doctors concerning their communication with patients. The results suggest, that doctors perceive communication with patients as an important part of their work (even though they differ in the amount of importance they attribute to communication). In accordance with this finding is the fact, that the description of a "good doctor" and "good communication" were quite similar. Almost all respondents considered the undergraduate training in communication as useless, suggesting that the main reason may be the perceived unimportance of this subject at medical school. Some of the communication barriers generally seen by the patients were also seen as important by the doctors (such as time pressure or lack of privacy while consulting with patients), important...

Studium výskytu genotypů lidského parvoviru B19 u pacientů FN Motol / Human parvovirus B19 genotype study among the patients of Motol Univeristy Hospital

Dubišová, Mária January 2018 (has links)
Parvovirus B19 is a common human pathogen that typically infects erythroid progenitors and causes hematological problems such as anemia and aplastic crises. The clinical presentation depends mainly on the immunological status of the patient. PVB19 can cause serious clinical disorders in immunocompromised patients after transplantation. More than 1500 samples from 90 patients who passed the HSCT in 2015 were tested for the presence of PVB19 in this work. This work describes the incidence of the virus and two typical periods of onset of infection in patients after the transplantation. Although several sources report the negative effect of PVB19 infection on the survival of allogeneic graft patients, this work did not confirm this assertion. Also, the results of this work suggest that allogenic grafts are not the main source for transmission, but that it is likely to be reactivated after long-term persistent or latent PVB19 infections. PVB19 is divided into 3 genotypes. Genotype 1 is the most widespread, genotype 2 is very rare in Europe for the last 10 years, and genotype 3 occurs mainly in tropical localities. This work as the first describes the distribution of genotypes in the Czech Republic. More than 130 samples from 125 PVB19 positive patients, stored in the Motol University Hospital from 2004...

Another objective of the research enquiry has been set as finding out the level of the nurse's awareness regarding the ways and possibilities of the subsequent care. Methodology For the purpose of the research enquiry the form of qualitative research has been chosen and adopted, which has been applied and performed by means of using a method of interviewing i.e. putting questions which have been prepared beforehand, well in advance. Research array of patients consisted of 10 patients from one hospital (which is not going to be specified in this work) as well as 8 nurses whose job was to take care of the post-operative patients/ the post-thoracic operation patients. The results of the research have been processed by applying the method of open coding, pencil-paper method. Assets and Benefits of this Work The research enquiry has showed certain level of absence of desirable knowledge as well as ignorance of the staff taking care of the patients regarding the ways of subsequent care. Nurses should be educated about the possibilities of home care, hospice care as an integral part of their profession. The results gained by research enquiry process could be presented at seminars, conferences aimed at the subsequent care.

Farmakoterapie na ortopedickém oddělení z pohledu sestry / Pharmacotherapy at the ortopedic department from nurse´s perspektive

TOMÁNKOVÁ NOVÁKOVÁ, Monika January 2019 (has links)
Attention should be paid to pharmacotherapy in the orthopedic department mainly because patients at this department make up a risky group, they are older and often tend to use more types of drugs at the same time. Nursing at the orthopedic department is both mentally and physically demanding. Nurses administer medication to patients throughout the whole day, that is why lack of certain medication may occur in this department, the same way they would with all routine procedures. Be it conscious or unconscious. The thesis sets its objective to map out the issue of pharmacotherapy in the orthopedic department. Further, to map out factors that may influence the origin of complications when administering medication to patients in the orthopedic deartment, and suggest improvements in the process of pharmacotherapy in the orthopedic department. A qualitative research via participant observation and semi-structured interviews carried out with the nurses and patients of the orthopedic department, was used. The results of this survey prove that nurses do have basic theoretical knowledge in the area of pharmacotherapy. At the same time certain shortcomings were discovered, i.e. this theoretical knowledge is not being applied in practice. Most surprising were the results in the area of patient identification before administering medication, this step not always being abode by the nurses as a part of medical error prevention. Quite on the contrary, it can be said, based on the results, that nurses do have excellent knowledge and skills in pain reduction. This is proven by both participant observation and the happiness of patients themselves. Partial results have been presented at a seminar in the orthopedic department, and they have been passed on to the management of this department. The resulting shortcomings have been used as aid material. The diploma thesis was written so as to serve as material of information to beginner or existing nurses at the orthopedic department as well.

Visuomenės vaistinės pacientų gaunamos farmacinės ir sveikatinimo informacijos tyrimas ir vertinimas / Analysis and evaluation of the medicine and health information received by the community pharmacy patients

Daukšienė Šaškovaitė, Jurgita 20 September 2010 (has links)
The aim of the study is to evaluate the medicine and health information received by the community pharmacy patients. Objectives: To evaluate the patients’ attitude towards the pharmacist as the source of information about the health care and medications; to compare the patients’ attitude towards their doctors and pharmacists as the sources of the information about medicines; to determine the importance of the drug usage problem among the pharmacy clients and the correlation between the proper use of the medications and the information given by the pharmacists; to analyze the aspects and the ways of the information about drugs given at the pharmacies; to determine factors which influence the amount of received information by community pharmacy patients; to detect what part of the pharmacy patients give questions to the pharmacist; to analyze what factors influence community pharmacy patient satisfaction; to reveal whether the pharmacists, while delivering extra health care services, also use the possibility to spread the health promotion information. Evaluation of the medicine and health information was performed with a complex of various sociological methods such us questionnaire, participant observation and secret standardized patient.
