Aragão, Silvana Francisco Noé January 2019 (has links)
Researchers should follow key aspects for the smooth conduct of research protocols as a follow-up of national and international standards of good clinical practice in research (GCPR). The communication of new researches uses large vehicles as well as targeted advertising for the recruitment of volunteers or research subjects. The knowledge and development of adequate strategies promote better performance in the inclusion of clinical studies, improvement save time and money on the sponsors of study, as well as a higher probability of participation in these patients. Despite this, ethical issues and patient protection are of the utmost importance to avoid the exploitation of these people who are often humble and low-income. In Brazil, Resolution No. 251 of 1997 of the Health National Council - Ministry of Health highlights the need to describe clearly the forms of recruitment. The National Commission for Research Ethics (Conep), in its Operational Manual for Research Ethics Committees (CEP), presents, among several points, the evaluation of the vulnerability of research subjects, the guarantee of freedom of decision to participation, the need of the clear scientific design presenting susceptibility to the risks and possibility of benefits and feasibility of the execution of the protocol. Výzkum efektivity popularizačních aktivit ve fyzice / Research on effectivity of outreach in physics

Kolář, Karel January 2019 (has links)
The thesis introduces many examples of outreach activities, primarily from the Czech Republic and other European countries. Various possibilities of measure- ments of factors of their effectivity are discussed in the thesis. The used methods were: literature review, conceptual assessment tests - pre- and post-tests (CCI, PPCI), questionnaires (IMI), data analyses of participants of activities, semi-structured interviews (for validation of concept inventories), and the work also has a glimpse of ethnography because the author has organised outreach activities for ten years. The individual chapters of the work are dedicated to: the overview of outreach activities, research methods, translation of the Calculus Concept Inventory (CCI) into Czech, the first steps for developments of the Particle Physics Concept Inven- tory (PPCI), loyalty of participants of competitions, and description of various metrics which can be used for statistical evaluation of events. 1

The influence of digital meetings on the meaningfulness for the meeting participants : A qualitative study of the factors that can contribute to increased the sense of meaning in digital meetings

Cardoso Cintra Cartela, Daniela, Hägg, Astrid January 2022 (has links)
Background: Digital meetings were on the agenda even before Covid-19 existed, but despite this, the pandemic has meant major changes in the working methods of many people. This has made it possible to identify new problems linked to digital meetings. For the organization, it is important that sensemaking is part of digital meetings so that, for example, reflection on challenges and future goals can come to consensus. Purpose: The purpose of the study is to highlight stories about the experience of digital meetings among meeting participants and to investigate factors that can contribute to increased meaning in digital meetings. The study also aims to examine when digital meetings are preferred and not and also which impact Weicks' (1995) seven character traits have on sensemaking in digital meetings. Method: This study has a qualitative approach based on a realistic perspective. The empirical data has been collected through semi-structured interviews with six employees, at different companies, with experience of digital work meetings. Conclusion: The experience of digital meetings differs depending on, among other things, the professional role and the organization's digital adaptations. The factors that can contribute to sensemaking in digital meetings can be linked to time, social interaction, technology, structure and efficiency. All of these areas contribute in different ways to the creation of meaning and experiences of the digital meeting. It also appears that digital meetings are well suited for the dissemination of information, appropriate technical equipment and good technical practice among the meeting participants and that sensemaking occurs through six of Weicks (1995) seven charactertraits.

The Satisfaction of Participants In Utah's Mutual Self-Help Housing Program

Martin, Lucas D. 01 May 2012 (has links)
The purpose of this study was to create a profile of Mutual Self-Help participants in Utah, measure their satisfaction with the program, and identify factors that lead to the willingness of participants to refer the program to others. The sample consisted of program participants at Neighborhood Nonprofit Housing Corporation and Rural Community Development Corporation from 2002 to 2009. A survey instrument was used to collect the data from the 114 responses. Descriptive statistics were used to create the profile of clients, satisfaction scores were analyzed with a t test, and a logistic regression was used to identify factors that contribute to participant referrals. Clients were on average White, had 2.4 dependents, and had at least some college or vocational education. Most were first-time homeowners, had more than $20,000 in equity, and had never missed a payment. The majority of clients reported high levels of satisfaction with the program, their home, and the neighborhood. Satisfaction with their home proved to be the major predictor of referring the program to others, significant at less than .01. The findings indicate that program participants are satisfied with the program. They have high levels of satisfaction, are likely to refer the program to others, and have derived significant benefits from the program in terms of equity and stability. This information can be used by nonprofits who administer the program, the USDA Rural Development who funds the program, and legislators who determine funding levels to assess the inputs and outputs of the program and better serve their clients.

Rozsudek a předmět řízení / Judgment and subject of the proceedings

Švarcová, Petra January 2021 (has links)
Judgment and subject of the proceedings Abstract This diploma thesis deals with the topic of the judgment and the subject of the proceedings. First, it analyses both concepts and then focuses on their relationship, both in litigation and in undisputed proceedings. The diploma thesis is divided into four separate chapters. The first chapter explains the concept of the subject of the proceedings, further deals with the claim, defines it and analyses its requirements, defines the claim petit and divides it into basic types, which it also specifies in more detail. It then focuses on the principle of disposition as a fundamental principle of litigation, which allows the parties to dispose of the subject of the proceedings or of the proceedings themselves. The second chapter describes the judgment. It first lists its requirements given by law and then specifies what its properties are. Subsequently, it also deals with the concepts of correction of the judgment and supplementation of the judgment. Last but not least it explains the different types of judgment according to various classification criteria. The third chapter analyses the relationship between the judgment and the subject of the proceedings in the dispute. It first briefly describes what litigation is at all, then focuses on the general definition of...

Enhanced Perceived Presence in Hybrid Meetings : Exploring Auditory Immersion Through Dynamic Binaural Audio Technologies

Bengtsson, Axel January 2022 (has links)
Due to the covid-19 pandemic, companies and schools had to online go for meetings. With the opening of countries, people can now choose to attend meetings both physically and remotely which has led to the evolution of hybrid meetings. This thesis project focuses on how the perceived presence could be enhanced for remote participants. The purpose of the research is to explore the technology of dynamic binaural audio in the context of hybrid meetings and what the effects are on the remote participants. The paper presents the results through observations and interviews with the case study group, in combination with different literature studies. With the findings, a prototype for dynamic binaural audio has been developed and user-tested. As result, the remote participants reported a higher perceived presence with the implementation of dynamic binaural audio. Although, the implementation of dynamic binaural audio together with a static two dimensional video left some remote participants with a lower perceived presence due to asynchrony.
