Vad är min personliga integritet värd? : En studie om konsumenters syn på organisationer som legitima utifrån deras datapraxis / What is my personal privacy worth?

Ivarsson, Victor, Björn, Eric January 2018 (has links)
Title: What is my personal privacy worth? Authors: Victor Ivarsson & Eric Björn Tutor: Patrik Persson Level: Enterprising & Business Development, Bachelor thesis 15 credits. Key words: Legitimacy, data practice, digitalization, privacy, personal data. Bakgrund: Technical developments have changed the digital market and consumers personal data is used by various organizations operating on the Internet. Many of these companies are even built around the consumers’ personal data. Consumers' perception of organizations’ data management affect their views on organizations as legitimate or not and thus also their ability to acquire users and survive in the long run. Purpose: To create understanding for the consumers’ view on organisations as legitimate or not depending on organisations’ data management. Method: The study is quantitative with a constructionist supposition and a deductive approach. Three focus groups where different themes and questions were discussed were conducted in order to catch the participants’ views. The sample was students in different programs at the Linnaeus University in Växjö born in the 1990’s. Empirical: The empirical chapter is a summary from the three different focus groups that were conducted where different themes connected to data management were discussed. Conclusion: Consumers share a lot of personal data. They make a difference between what is illegitimate- and intrusive data practices. Illegitimate and intrusive data practices also do not necessarily mean that consumers take action in their behaviour towards organizations. This is a result of consumer social standards. Openness and honesty are highly valued by consumers in terms of organizations' data practices, and in order to acquire legitimacy, organizations should be open and honest about their data practices.

Aspects juridiques de la mise en oeuvre d'un système informatisé d'aide aux personnes / Legal aspects of the implementation of a computerized system to help people

Boumaza-Mercier, Coralie 15 January 2015 (has links)
Assistance Robotics is a technology to ensure the safety of vulnerable people in their daily lives as well as the monitoring of their health. It is called to grow exponentially in the coming years in order to cope with the ageing of populations. If the benefits of its technologies are notable, the risks that they give rise to the fundamental rights of their users are also important. Like any innovation, robotics assistance requires a legal framework allowing it to develop and raise the confidence of stakeholders. This study is designed to expose the various legal issues related to the introduction of a robot of assistance at the home of both vulnerable people during its installation during its operation. It will be therefore determine how law can cope with such a technical phenomenon. This will lead us to seek answers adapted to the specific problems that arise.

Accepting a personalized advert – A Swedish study of the public’s opinion / Acceptering av en personlig annons – En svensk studie om allmänhetens åsikt

Holmqvist, Johan, Nilsson, Dennis January 2016 (has links)
In recent years there has been an increase in attempts to further increase the efficiency with which advertisement help drive sales. The attempts have largely focused on personalizing adverts to make sure that every person that sees an advert has an interest in it. In order to make the adverts personal, a company needs information about their customer. This is a controversial subject and has as such become a hot topic in Sweden and cause for debate. The thesis reports on our research of what the general Swedish public feel about disclosing personal information. To do this we perform a survey totalling 107 responses and come to a conclusion that there is a need for transparency amongst companies in order for the advertisement to work efficiently.

Vybrané právní aspekty výběru zaměstnanců / Selected legal aspects of the hiring of employees

Kubková, Petra January 2016 (has links)
The topic of this thesis are selected legal aspects of the hiring of employees. During the lifetime, possibly every one of us experiences the selection process and therefore it is worth knowing all the rights and duties of both parties to the process, either rights and duties of an employer or a job applicant. Particular aspects chosen are the equal treatment and the prohibition of discrimination and the protection of personal data and especially related to the proceedings before the commencement of the employment relationship. Both aspects are closely related to each other and therefore they are described in one work, so it is easier to understand the whole content and meaning of them. The thesis is divided into five chapters, including the introduction and the conclusion. The second chapter of this work is dedicated firstly to the selection of employees in general. At the beginning it brings a description of the development of the human resource management, then it describes the process of the selection, what comes before it, what are the possible methods of selection and what principles ought to be adhered. Ochrana osobních údajů a pracovněprávní vztahy / Personal Data Protection and Labour Law Relationships

Lejsek, Jakub January 2017 (has links)
This thesis deals with the protection of personal data in relation to the labour law relationships. Considering the extensiveness of the topic of personal data protection, the aim of this thesis is not giving an all-encompassing explanation, however, to introduce the general legal regulations together with the explanation of the principal legal concepts and their subsequent application on the labour law relationships. The author divides this thesis into 6 chapters. Apart from the relevant legal regulations the author focuses on the main case law and opinions issued by WP 29 and UOOU (the Office for Personal Data Protection) as well, which interpret some legal uncertainties. By reason that the personal data protection is integrally connected to the inviolability of the person and privacy itself, the first chapter focuses on the concept of privacy and its interpretation. The second chapter discusses the privacy and data protection legal regulation. This chapter covers both international, regional and also Czech legislation, which particularly emanates from the European Parliament and Council Directive 95/46/EC. In the third chapter, the author focuses on the basic concepts of the personal data protection. Its explanation is necessary not only for understanding of this topic, but also for the...

Sécurité et libertés fondamentales des communications électroniques en droit français, européen et international / Security and Fundamental Freedoms of Electronic Communications in French, European and International Law

Zwolinska, Monika 04 December 2015 (has links)
The impact of today’s information and communication technologies is essential forthe exercice of human rights, particularly concerning freedom of expression and privacyprotection. With the massive use of Internet, mobile phones and – more recently – other smart objects and digital services, the tension mounts with respect to establishing the limit between public and private space online. Likewise, the freedom of expression, communication and information are at risk as - under the pretext of fighting cybercrime and cyber terrorism, as well as maintaining public order - public authorities interfere with online contents by controlling, monitoring, restraining or prohibiting it. Especially as both States’ and private companies’ capacities in creating extremely precise databases identifying information on persons’ consumption habits, itineraries, thoughts and opinions gradually increase. Therefore, the need to redefine the way in which the respect of fundamental freedoms is taken into consideration in the context of digital environment becomes urgent.
