Previous issue date: 2010-04-27 / Secretaria da Educação do Estado de São Paulo / The aim of this study is the identification process of the future Mathematics teachers as a
faculty member in the beginning of their studies, and the contributions of Practice, as a
curricular component, in this process. Thus, the objectives of this study are: firstly, to
recognize evidences of the identification of the professional as a faculty member by the
future Mathematics teachers or some of the future Mathematics teachers during their
undergraduate program; secondly, to become acquainted and analyze the contributions of
the experiences lived by licensed teachers in the development of Practice as a curricular
component, for the constitution of their Identity as Faculty Members. The questions that
guided this study were: What are the connections between the experiences lived during
the development of Practice as a curricular component (in Teaching Practice and
Supervised Training) and the constitution of the Professional Identity of the future
teacher? Also, which components of these experiences contributed to the constitution
process of this Identity? For the theoretical basis, concepts of Social and Professional
identities were adopted, with grounds on Dubar, and the Professional Identity of the
Faculty Member, supported by Guimarães. Some factors that influenced the constitution
of this Identity were also taken into account, in addition to presenting how normatization
guiding Practice as a curricular component should be developed in undergraduate
courses. A qualitative research approach was adopted and data was collected through
questionnaires, interviews in focus groups, and observations. There were fourteen
interviewees who were, in 2008, studying Teaching Practice and Supervised Training II in
the undergraduate program of Mathematics in a public university in the interior of São
Paulo State. The findings show that the stimulus and the development of a reflexive,
questioning, investigative behavior developed by the Practice as a curricular component
generate, not only a complex process of socialization with faculty members, but also
conflicts, ruptures, uncertainties, choices and inner battles , which propitiate the
undergraduate students to reassure or have second thoughts about their choice for a
career in teaching. This is definitely the way that will promote invaluable contribution for
the constitution of the Professional Identity of a Faculty Member of future teachers / O objeto de estudo deste trabalho é o processo de identificação do futuro professor de

This study is in the initial teacher training in Mathematics at higher education in undergraduate courses. With the context the Undergraduate course in Mathematics at the Federal University of Uberlandia (UFU) in Uberlandia/Minas Gerais, dialogue on the issue of the practice as Curriculum Component (PCC ) inserted in the curricula of undergraduate courses as differentiated mode of the practice from the CNE / CP Nº. 01/2002 resolution that instituted the National Curricular Guidelines for teacher training in this level. From a qualitative character, the research investigated, under the Statistics and Probability discipline, the curriculum of the mentioned course, the implementation process of the Integrated Project of Educational Practice (PIPE) – a curricular component created by UFU to the development of this type of practice established by the Guidelines. The general objective of the study was to investigate, in the Mathematics course, the implementation of the PIPE as PCC in the development of this discipline and its implications for initial training of Mathematic teachers, guiding by the guideline question : How has occurred the implementing process of the Integrated Project of Educational Practice (PIPE ) in Statistics and Probability discipline in the Undergraduate Course in Mathematic of the Federal University of Uberlandia from its insertion as Practice as Curricular Component in this course? The study was developed through the documental research and of field, taking as subject the teachers and students in this discipline and course, for five semesters (from 2012 to 2014). The production data was, beyond the documentary part and the researcher records in the field diary, also through interviews with the teachers, questionnaires to students and a virtual environment created by the researcher in the development of the research. The main results showed the deficiency of experience records regarding the development of the PIPE. They also showed that the different participants in the research consider the PIPE important and necessary in the Mathematics Course for enabling, in the development of this Curriculum Practice, a differential space training, however, there are conceptual questions regarding this component and view differences of the teachers with the pedagogical project of the course on the design of the PCC via PIPE, which has led to different ways of interpreting it and, thus, accomplish it. They showed lack of clarification on this practice in the institutional documents and greater communication within the course, suggesting, therefore, the implementation of an exchange experiences space in the PIPE development, combined with a continuous and ongoing process of monitoring and evaluation for its improvement and effectiveness. Through the five experiences in the field it concluded that the PIPE characterized as a kind of practice that requires an interdisciplinary and collective work and so has also represented a major challenge for the Mathematic course, but, nevertheless it is not a weak proposal, but possible and feasible, especially by the possibility of socialization and of a responsibility that is shared between the involved participants and not exclusive for teachers.

POSSIBILIDADES PARA A ARTICULAÇÃO ENTRE TEORIA E PRÁTICA EM CURSOS DE LICENCIATURA / POSSIBILITIES OF ARTICULATING THEORY AND PRACTICE INSIDE TEACHER EDUCATION COURSESDutra, Edna Falcão 26 March 2010 (has links)
Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / This research was carried out inside Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação of Centro de Educação from
Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM), articulated to Research Project Dilemas e Perspectivas para a Inovação Educacional na Educação Básica e na Formação de Professores (DIPIED) and to Interventions, Researches and Studies Group Inovação Educacional, Práticas Educativas e Formação de Professores (INOVAEDUC) , between 2008 and 2010. With it, we sought to contribute to the studies, which aim to comprehend the proposed and developed theory and practice articulation ways in Teacher Education Courses (CL). For that, we proposed to answer to the following research problem: How occurs the relation between theoretical dimension and practical dimension in CL? The nature of the pieces of information collected as well the ways adopted for their treatment put your study into the qualitative researches set. The study dealt with 19 CL from UFSM. As information sources, we used, initially, two types of documents: 07 national legal orientations for teacher education to elementary and high school level and 19 Pedagogic Political Projects (PPP) of CL from UFSM. Furthermore, we had the contribution of 27 testimonials of professors from these Courses, directly engaged into activities or subjects that deal with, in a particular way, and/or provide, explicitly, the theoretical dimension and practical dimension articulation in teacher education. As instruments to collect information, we used a specific set of aspects to analyze the quoted documents as well a particular set of aspects for structured interviews accomplishment with the 27 selected professors. To analyze the pieces of information gotten, we applied, basically, some principles of the called Subject Analysis, in the perspective proposed by L. Bardin. From the gotten information treatment, we evidenced that the analyzed legal documents point out that theory and practice articulation must occur as into subjects which have hours devoted to Practice as Curricular Component, shared throughout the course, as into subjects referent to Pre-Service Curricular Training, which must begin from the second part of the course. For this set of subjects, it is prescribed at least 800 hours during the entire course, 400 hours for each curricular component mentioned. Nevertheless, these documents do not offer elements neither indicate ways of articulating theory and practice, pointing out just the time quantity definition. The introductory texts of almost all of the PPP from CL investigated (16/19) reaffirm the importance of articulating theory and practice in the teacher education, thus, in agreement with the documents analyzed. However, these PPP only make reference to the need of relating theory and practice, they do not present mechanisms for its development. The professors interviewed testimonials, allowed us to understand that the didactic activities carried out by them are partially in consonance with the prescribed in legal documents, as in the majority of professors of CL speeches (24/27), predominates the idea that practical activities serve just to apply the theories studied during the teacher education. The ideas manifested by them on theory and on practice constitute points of view that vary from a dichotomy position between these two reality dimensions to an articulation position between them. Yet, when asked for analyzing the situation of the current teacher education courses, they are almost unanimous (26/27) in believing that they are mostly based on a dichotomy view between these dimensions. More specifically, referring to the own courses in which they teach, still the majority (16/27) evaluate that such courses reaffirm this dichotomy. Nevertheless, when asked to reflect on their own teaching actions, the entirety (27/27) reports that seek always to develop a work providing articulation between theory and practice in future teacher education for basic levels. As conclusion, we mention different possible contributions for accomplishment of activities that improve the theory and practice articulation in teacher education processes: 1) development of the capacity of working with the called education transposition ; 2) knowledge of real work spaces still throughout the teacher initial education; 3) possibility of developing, in a school setting, a work different from the one they lived in the
basic school; 4) stimulus for reflecting on the type of professionals they can be; 5) possibility of becoming a
researcher teacher, that act, reflect and research on their own teaching practice.

Previous issue date: 2011-08-30 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / The practice as component curricular (PCC) in the course of degree course in Physical Education of the Federal University of the Maranhão (UFMA). The practice is investigated like component curricular and if his inclusion has been contributing to the overcoming of the dichotomy between theory and it practices in the Course of Degree course in Physical Education of the UFMA. As for the hard-working methodology, the inquiry is of hallmark exploratory of the type descriptive, whose proposal methodological developed through the combination of bibliographical, documentary inquiry and of field. For so much, it takes office like base to the contributions of Vázquez (1977) about the practice in a dialectic perspective and, o concept of pedagogic practice anchored in the studies of Veiga (1989; 2000), Fonseca (2005) and Schmidt et al (1999). For the collection of data there was used the semi-structured interview devoted to a coordinator, chief of department and seven (7) teachers of the course; and application of questionnaire to twelve (12) pupils properly enroled in the intermediary periods (5th and 6º) and you waste away (8th and 9º). It is ended that the PCC is not being treated inside the above-mentioned course as the PPP of the same thing emanates and what there is no full understanding for part of pupils and teachers as for the above-mentioned practice. In accordance with teachers and pupils interviewed to PCC have contributed to the overcoming of the dichotomy between theory and practice, meantime, there is the need of pedagogic practices more contextual, critical and reflexive. It is believed that the recognition of this necessity is a significant step to rescind the faults and gaps in the process of teaching and apprenticeship, making possible the understanding and transformation of the reality which the teachers are going to influence.

Previous issue date: 2006-12-15 / This study aims at underscoring the pressing search of a new meaning for the
concept of practice in the initial teaching licensing formation course. Such meaning
should refer to the legislation regulating this universe, and point at both a curricular
restructuring panorama and the reflexive teaching theories for teacher education;
those, in turn, face the issue of how to meet the National Curricular Guidelines
(Resolutions CNE/ CP 01 and 02/2002) in relation to 800 hours of practice for
teaching licensing courses. With the objective of identifying how such practice has
been carried out, I conducted descriptive, interpretive and qualitative research in
which, through the analysis of the discourse from 14 teachers in 5 teaching licensing
courses in a private university, I found out the existence of the predominance of
teaching practice and internship. However, good initiatives of changing from the
concept of supervised internship emphasizing technical rationality toward a concept
of the field of knowledge generated from reflexive practice have been suggested.
Those initiatives show the intention of updating the practice dimension in the
curriculum. The latter is, nevertheless, made difficult due to a certain
misunderstanding in relation to both the nature of such practice as a curricular
component and the way of using it, as inferred from the discourses analyzed in this
study. From this realization, proposals and examples of how to apply this practice as
a curricular component are presented in this study. It is also concluded that the
articulation of theory and practice as the curricular core is not carried out, except in
some isolated disciplines. Facing this situation, it may be said that the panorama
does not favor the professional development underscoring the role of the teacher as
someone active, critical, creative and compromised with the educational goals in
Basic Education, away from the perspective of teacher professionalization / Este estudo pretende enfatizar a busca premente de um novo significado para a
A partir dessa
