Vaquero, subjected to doses increasing nitrogen, applied in the form of pig waste. The work was developed during the period November 2017 to March 2018, in the Experimental unit of the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná, Toledo campus, located in the Western region of Paraná under latitude 24° 43 ' 13 '' S and longitude 53° 47 ' 01 "W. experimental design was of randomized blocks with six treatments (0, 50, 100, 150, 200, 250 kg ha-1) consisting of increasing doses of nitrogen in the form of pig manure, with five repetitions, totaling 30 plots. The experiment was initiated in November 2017, and the samples were carried out at the end of each of the four periods of cut, which had gaps between cuts of 30 days. Total productivity was studied of dry matter (kg ha-1), plant height (cm), crude protein (CP), dry matter (DM), neutral detergent fiber (NDF), acid detergent fiber (FDA), neutral detergent insoluble nitrogen (NIDN), acid detergent insoluble nitrogen (NIDA), lignin (LIG), ether extract (EE) and mineral matters (MM). Besides the mineral composition in dry matter and soil (organic matter, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium, manganese, zinc, iron). It was found that there was a positive linear effect of the treatments on dry matter productivity of forage, plant height, PB and EE that are increased as the doses of nitrogen rises, reaching the most expressive values at a dose of 250 kg ha-1. On the other hand, the levels of FDA, NIDA, NDF, NIDN and BOND decreased with the increase in levels of nitrogen. With increasing doses of N of pig waste occur increase in levels of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. The different nitrogenous doses applied in the form of pig waste in grass pasture vaquero, influence on composition and productivity of bromatological total dry matter, providing an increase in levels of PB, MS, EE, forage produced in four periods. The application of increasing doses of liquid waste pigs promotes increases in levels of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium (g kg-1) in the dry matter of the aerial part of the shoot to the dose of 250 kg ha-1 of N in the form of pig waste. The application of pig waste as fertilizer reduces the concentration of organic matter, phosphorus, potassium, manganese and iron. MS grass productivity ranged from 3080.57 to 4520.57 Vaquero kg ha-1 in the air, that is, there is an estimated increase of 46.74% on MS productivity of Vaquero, when you go from 0 to 250 kg of waste per hectare.

Two experiments were conducted wit 108 swine to evaluate diets with differents levels of lysine and crude protein for female and male barrow swine in the growth phase (30 to 60 kg) and termination (60 to 105 kg). In the experiment I, 108 swine (Landrace x Large White) were used being 54 females and 54 barrow swine distributed in a randomized blocks experimental design with three treatments (0.85 and 15.5; 0.95 and 16.5; 1.05 and 17.5% of total lysine and crude protein, respectively ), six replicates and three animals per experimental unity. It was not observed effect of the treatment and sex for none of the evaluated parameters. It was not observed effect of the treatments and sex under weight gain and the feed intake verifying effect of the treatments under the feed:gain ratio, deposition rate of protein and fat in the animals that received diet containing 1.05 e 17.5% of total lysine and crude protein showed the best results. There was effect of sex for feed:gain ratio, deposition rate of protein and fat in that females showed best results for these variables when compared to barrow swine. In the experiment II, 72 swine (Landrace x Large White) were used being 36 females and 36 barrow swine were distributed in a randomized blocks experimental design with three treatments (0.76 and 14.5; 0.84 and 15.5; 0.92 and 16.5% of total lysine and crude protein, respectively) six replicates and two animals per experimental unity. There was no interaction between treatment and sex for none of the evaluated parameters. It was not observed effect of the treatments under feed intake, carcass length and the fat ixthickness between the last and penultimate lumbar vertebra (ETUL). It was verified effect of treatments in function of the levels of lysine and crude protein under the weight gain, lysine intake, growth rate in muscle, carcass yield, lean meat yield and ham yield that increased however, for feed:gain ratio, feed:gain ratio in muscle, thickness of fat measured in 6,5 cm of the dorsal lombar line (P 2 ) and fat yield that reduced. Effect of sex was verified for weight gain, feed intake, feed:gain ratio, lysine intake, feed:gain ratio in muscle, ETUL, P 2 and fat yield in that females showed inferior values for these variables when compared of barrow swine, however, for the growth rate of muscle, back eye area, carcass and lean meat yield, the results of females were greater than barrow swine. Basing on these data of performance and carcass quality can be conclude that in the concept of ideal protein that for the growing phase, for females and barrow swine, the diet containing 1.05% of total lysine and 17.5% of crude protein, showed better feed:gain ratio, greater deposition rate of protein and smaller deposition rate of at in carcass of swine from 30 to 60 kg. However, for the termination phase, the diet containing 0.92% of total lysine and 16.5% of crude protein, for females and barrow swine, showed better feed:gain ratio, carcass yield, lean meat yield, fat yield, ham yield and fat thickness (P 2 ) in the carcass of swine from 60 to 105 kg of weight.

One thousand fingerlings of lambari tambiú (Astyanax bimaculatus) with average initial weight of 0.70 ± 0.0046 g, placed in 20 aquaria (600 L) with water renewal and controlled temperature into plastic greenhouse, were used to determine crude protein (CP) requirements. The experiment was carried out according to a completely randomized design, with five treatments (25, 29, 33, 37 and 41 % CP), four replicates and fifty fishes per experimental unit. The fishes were fed ad libitum four times a day, during 60 days. Total weight gain, apparent diet consumption, apparent feed : gain ratio, protein efficiency rate, nitrogen retention rate, carcass humidity, protein and fat contents, nitrogen and fat percentage on weight gain were evaluated. For apparent feed conversion and for nitrogen percentage on weight gain, no effects of CP were observed. The all other evaluated parameters were influenced in a linear or quadratic way by protein levels. It was concluded that crude protein requirement for lambari tambiú xicorresponds to 37.8 %, since this level provides the best responses in weight gain, specific growth rate, and carcass fat composition.

Six experiments, three of lysine and three of protein, were carried out to estimate the total lysine requirement and the ideal levels of crude protein (CP) for broilers in the initial, growing and final phases. In the experiment 1, 1440 Ross broilers, males and females, fed diets with 22.00% CP and 3.050 kcal ME/kg and supplemented with six L_lysine levels, 1.03, 1.09, 1.15, 1.21, 1.27 and 1.33% of total lysine, from 1 to 21 days of age. In the experiment 2 (from 22 to 42 days of age), the same number of animals was used, fed a diet with 20.00% CP and 3.200 kcal ME/kg, supplemented with six L-lysine levels, corresponding to 0.92, 0.98, 1.04, 1.10, 1.16 and 1.22% of lysine in the diets. In the experiment 3 (from 42 to 54 days of age), 750 chicks were used and fed a basal diet with 18.50% CP and 3.200 kcal ME/kg and diets supplemented with five L-lysine levels, corresponding to 0.80, 0.86, 0.92, 0.98 and 1.04% of total lysine in the diets. The other three experiments were carried out to obtain the ideal level of crude protein (CP) in the diets, and the number of animals was the same as those used in the three experiments described before. In the first growing phase, different protein levels (20.00, 20.50, 21.00, 21.50, 22.00 and 22.50%) in the diets as the level of 1.27% total lysine were used. For the second phase, the protein levels that changed on the diets were 17.50, 18.00, 18.50, 19.00 and 19.50% at the levels of 1.16% total lysine. In the last phase, the five crude protein levels were 16.00, 16.50, 17.00, 17.50 and 18.00% at 1.00% total lysine and obtained in the experiment previously carried out. In all these experiments, the lysine: methionine + cystine, threonine, tryptophan and arginine ratio was maintained for amino acids considering the ideal protein profile. In the experiment 1, the treatments quadractly affected the weight gain (WG) and the feed:gain ratio (F/G), independent of sex, and linearly affected the feed intake (FI) of males. In the experiment 2, the males showed quadratic effect for WG and F/G and estimated requirement of 1.125% and 1.164% total lysine, respectively. The lysine levels linearly affected the carcass yield (CY), breast yield (BY), breast fillet yield (BFY), and abdominal fat (AF) of males. There was quadratic effect for F/G and linear effect for FI, for females, and no differences of chicks weight gain. Quadratic effect for BY and BFY and linear effect for F/G were observed, as dietary lysine levels incresed. In the experiment 3, there was no effect of lysine levels on the WG, for males and females, but there was linear effect on the F/G, for the both sexes. The chicks showed no significant effect on the abdominal fat and yield. In the experiment to obtain the crude protein ideal level for the initial phase, males showed estimated requirement of 22.42% crude protein for F/G, while the females showed linear effect for WG and F/G. In following phase, the protein levels linearly affected the males FI, F/G, BY and AF, which improves as crude protein levels increased. Females showed quadratic effect for WG and linear effect for F/G and fat abdominal. In the last phase, males showed quadratic and linear effect for F/G, and there was no effect on breast and fillet breast yields and on abdominal fat. Females presented linear effect for F/G and CY as the proteins levels increased. It was concluded that the lysine requirements estimates for males and females were: in the initial phase (from 1 to 21 days), males showed requirement of 1,27% total lysine (1.16% digestible lysine) and females showed requirement of 1.21% total lysine (1.10% digestible lysine), in the growing phase (from 22 to 40 days), males showed requirement of 1.16 total lysine (1.06% digestible lysine) and females showed requirement of 1.10% total lysine (1.00% digestible lysine), and the final phase (from 42 to 54 days), the requirements were of 1.04% total lysine (0.96% digestible lysine) for males and 0.98% total lysine (0.90% digestible lysine) for females. According to the adequate crude protein levels for each phase, it was concluded that, in the initial phase, the chicks (males and females) showed requirement of 21.5% CP, 19.00% CP for the growing phase and 17.50% CP for the final phase.

Studies on growth analysis in forage plants help to understand the effects of management strategies employed under various medium conditions. In this sense, the objective of this work was to evaluate the morphophysiological components through growth analysis and crude protein content of four sorghum cultivars (BRS 800, BRS 802, BRS 810 and Qualimax). The research was conducted in a greenhouse at the Campus of the Federal University of Amazonas (UFAM) from March to August 2016. The experimental design Project was completely randomized in a factorial scheme 4x7, consisting of 4 sorghum cultivars and 7 evaluation periods Which corresponded to 14, 28, 42, 56, 70, 84 and 98 days after the emergency (AED). In this study, plant height, leaf area, shoot dry matter weight, leaf area index, leaf area ratio, specific leaf area, leaf weight ratio, net assimilation rate, relative growth rate, and Protein value of the cultivars. BRS 810 and Qualimax obtained the highest leaf aerial index with maximum values at 63 DAE. BRS 810 and Qualimax stood out from the other cultivars regarding leaf area index, leaf area ratio, specific leaf area and relative growth rate, being a good forage option. BRS 800 presented the highest net assimilation rate, which gives it the best photosensitive efficiency. All cultivars presented crude protein contents between 11% and 15%, which meets the nutritional requirements of the animals. Sorghum cultivars should be used in growth stages close to 50 days, in order to obtain higher forage production. Palisade, and Panicum maximum cv. Tanzania. The aim of the study was to characterize the genotypes in relation to anatomical attributes and chemical composition of leaf blades and from these assessments discriminate the most promising materials as the qualitative potential, in order to support the improvement program. The experimental design was a randomized complete block with five replications. There were three cuts of forage for evaluations. The mean anatomical and chemical characteristics were compared by the Scott-Knott test at 5% probability by the computer program SAEG (2007). Analysis of linear correlation between chemical and anatomical characteristics were obtained using the computer application (SAS 2007). Considering the levels of CP, NDF and digestibility of forage materials that deserve mention were BRA23566, BRA1112 and BRA22540 with CP concentration high and low NDF and high IVDMD. Based on studies of anatomical characterization genotypes that were stood BRA23566, BRA23558, BRA1112, BRA22811. It was concluded that the most promising genotypes regarding the qualitative potential would be the BRA23566 and BRA1112 and that would be needed further evaluation of the chemical composition of the cell wall to indicate which components influence the low digestibility of the genotypes tested.

170 gilts were used in four trials to evaluate the crude protein levels (CP) with amino acids supplementation in diets for cross breed gilts maintained in different environmental temperatures. In the first experiment were used 50 animals maintained in a thermal comfort (20.3oC) from 30.1 to 60.3 kg in a randomized experimental design with five treatments (19; 18; 17; 16 and 15 of CP with amino acids supplementation to maintain the same proteic quality), five replicates and two animals per experimental unity. The reduction of the crude protein level influenced the daily weight gain (DWG) and feed:gain ratio (F/G) but the treatments did not influence the daily feed intakes of lysine (LDI) and digestible energy (DEI). The carcass protein deposition (PD) was influenced by treatments. The nitrogen intake (NI) and the efficiency of nitrogen utilization for gain (ENUG) increased as the crude protein level reduced. Treatments had no influence on absolute and relative weights of evaluated organs. In the second trial 50 gilts were maintained in a high environmental temperature (30.4oC) from 30.2 to 60.1kg receiving treatments with the same experimental design of the xfirst trial. It was not observed effect of treatments on DWG, the DFI, the F/G, the LDI and the DEI. The crude protein (CP) of the diet influenced the NI and the ENUG as well as the PD. The treatments did not influence the absolute and relative weights of the evaluated organs. In the third trial 35 gilts were maintained in a thermoneutral environment (20.2oC) from 60.5 to 100.6kg distributed in a randomized experimental design with five treatments (17.3; 16.0; 14.7; 13.4 and 12.1 of CP with amino acid supplementation to maintain the same proteic quality seven replicates and one animal per experimental unity. The CP level had no influence on DWG, the DFI, the F/G, the LDI and the DEI. It was observed effect of the treatments on the NI and the ENUG without modification in the carcass length, the back eye area (BEA), the thickness of bacon and thickness of bacon at 6.5 cm of the back dorsal lumbar line (ETP 2 ), as well the carcass yield, and the yields of lean meat and of ham. The animals that received the CP level of 16% showed the highest liver weights (absolute and relative). In the fourth trial were used 35 gilts maintained in a high environmental temperature (30.4oC) from 60.3 to 100.3kg distributed in treatments in an experimental design the same as the third trial. The CP level in the diet did not influence the DWG, the DFI, the F/G, the LDI and the DEI. However, it was observed effect of the treatments on the NI and the ENUG, without modification in the carcass lengths of back eye area, thickness of bacon, thickness of bacon at 6.5 cm of the back dorsal lumbar line, the carcass, lean meat, fat and ham yield. The animals that received diet with the highest level of CP showed highest intestine weights (absolute and relative). It was concluded that the levels of CP of the diets base on corn and soybean meal for crossbreed gilts from 30 to 60 kg and from 60 to 100 kg can be reduced respectively in four (19 for 15%) and five (17.3 for 12.1%) percentages unities without damage on performance, independently of the thermal environment as well as the diets are supplemented with limiting amino acids to attend the standard of ideal protein.

Six hundred tambiú lambari (Astyanax bimaculatus) fingerlings with average initial weight of 1.30 ± .01 g, placed in 40 aquariums (100 L) with water renewal, controlled temperature and individual aeration, were used to determine the digestible energy (DE) requirements, according to the dietary crude protein (CP) level. The experiment was carried out according to a 5 x 2 factorial scheme (five DE levels: 2,900; 3,000; 3,100; 3,200 and 3,300 kcal/kg, combined with two CP levels: 32 and 38%), in a completely randomized design with four replicates and 15 fishes by experimental unit. The fishes were submitted to a controlled feeding based on the average daily intake of treatments with the highest energy level (3,300 kcal/kg) for each protein level, daily corrected, during 49 days. Weight gain, feed intake, CP intake, DE intake, feed:gain ratio, specific growth rate, protein efficiency rate, carcass yield, nitrogen retention efficiency, body humidity, fat and protein were evaluated. Fishes fed diets with 32% CP showed higher levels of feed intake, digestible energy intake, protein efficiency rate and nitrogen retention efficiency; and lower crude protein intake, carcass yield and body humidity. Fishes fed diets with 38% CP showed higher CP intake and carcass yield. As dietary DE levels increased, fishes fed diets with 32% CP showed lower specific growth rate and protein efficiency rate and higher feed:gainratio and those fed 38% CP showed higher carcass yield. It was concluded that the DE requirement for tambiú lambari is 2,900 kcal/kg for diets with 32 or 38% CP.

The objective of this study to identify the parameters that affect the plant-animal interface and the nutrition of cattle due to the different strategies of intensification of the native pasture from Pampa Biome. The experiment started in August 2015 and ended in May 2017. However, the process of intensifying treatments began in March 2015. The area destined for the experiment is approximately 34 ha of natural pasture, average. The following treatments were evaluated: native pasture (NP); NP with liming and fertilization with phosphorus and potassium (NPF); NPF with introduction of annual ryegrass (Lolium multiflorium) (40 kg ha-1 of seeds) and nitrogen fertilization corresponding to 80 kg / ha / year (NPFRN); NPF with introduction of annual ryegrass and legume sowing (NPFRL). The animals were composed of Braford breed with approximate weight at the beginning of the experiment of 136 kg of body weight. The experimental design was completely randomized blocks with two replicates and four treatments totaling eight experimental units (EUs). In Chapter I, the periods used for the evaluations were carried out at two different times; March and October 2016. Were evaluated canopy structures, pasture quality and nutritional aspects. Increasing intake and digestibility were evidenced in October, in the NPFRN and NPFRL treatments, as well as the relation of the intake of degradable protein in the rumen with intake of the digestible organic matter (RDP:DOMI) were higher for this same period, that consequently influenced the average daily gain (ADG), with higher gains in the treatments NPFRN 0.627 kg/day and NPFRL with 0,574 kg/day. In Chapter II, the collections were monthly throughout the experiment. The digestibility of organic matter (DOM) consumed by heifers was higher in treatments NPFRN and NPFRL 0.635 and 0.641 g/kg DMO, respectively. However, during the spring the higher DOM was obtained with a mean of 0.653 g/kg. The crude protein concentration in the diet (CPC) presented similar behavior to DOM. Two models were created using multiple regressions considered stepwise analysis. The first model using the pasture structure and the digestibility allowed explaining 42% of the variability for ADG. In the second model with the variables: RDP:DOMI, DOMI and DMI determined the coefficient of 87%. It was conclude that, as native pasture intensifies, there is an impact on the quality of the food and on the nutritional parameters of ruminants, which are determinant for estimating performance.
