Coquetel Molotov contra o sistema: a construção do arquétipo de um sujeito anarcopunk no documentário Punk Molotov - Rio de Janeiro (1983-1984) / Molotov cocktail against the system: the archetypes construction of anarcho-punk subjectivity in Punk Molotov documentary Rio de Janeiro (1983-1984)

Tokunaga, Larissa Guedes 12 September 2016 (has links)
This research will investigate the Punk Molotov (1983-1984) documentary, directed by João Carlos Rodrigues, audiovisual production about the musical expression of Coquetel Molotov (1981-1984) band. Having as scope to discussion of the anarcho-punk archetype such audiovisual production builds on its plot, will be sought as to assert subjectivities are designed by the director, who intuitively appropriates anarchists referentials to show the trajectory of the subjects on the move Punk north of the city. The issues that will guide the research can be formulated as follows: how conceptions of visual, musicality, sports and anarchist ideology developed in the record of a punk band from Rio de Janeiro may signal the construction of the archetype of an alternative subject? As the process of \"formation\" of the subject is described anarcho-punk in the wake of the documentary? Taking as reference the philosopher Félix Guattari and his theory of micropolitics, we intend to question to what extent the subject model proposed by the director in line with a recovery of direct, microscopic action in the contemporary everyday. The interpretation of audiovisual document will occur through the collation of speeches, music and images contained therein and part of the theory developed by poststructuralist authors.

The fanzines (handmade independent publications) made by this movement also were ahead of these transformations, organizing the discursive meanings in punk countercultural quotidian. Investigating the discursive set that is present in these fanzines, our goal is analyze the transformations in this movement's quotidian, understanding its possibilities and its political limits of acting. Therefore, it is necessary to discuss the following elements: a) what is this medium, fanzines, its history and its relationship with the field of alternative communication and; b) those who produce this medium, the punk movement, understanding this social subject as an expression of social category of youth. It is noteworthy that the study starts from theoretical and methodological referential of marxist quotidian, with the qualitative method of Discourse Analysis.

O anarquismo no movimento punk: cidade de São Paulo (1980-1990) / Anarchism in the punk movement: São Paulo city (1980-1990)

When living at Parque São Rafael, a district located on the east side of São Paulo city, I had the opportunity to witness the punk movement that grew in the city. Nevertheless, what really called my attention was the little, but growing, commitment to the punk movement with anarchist ideas which were expressed by its practices and experiences. The main aim of this reasearch is to analyse, discusss and study the anarchism in the punk movement, taking into account its political, social and cultural characteristics in São Paulo city. In order to analyse it, the study is based on documents, texts, enterviews, letters, articles and fanzines published by punk members of the studied historical period. We tried to give voice and visibility to historical individuals which actively integrated the punk movement and had relation to anarchist ideas in the decade of the 1980 s. We also bared in mind that the punks are social individuals living and interacting in society. It is known that those interactions are marked by struggles, resistance and interference in their search for indentity references in the city. So our intention is to make a contribuition to the debate and discussion about anarchism in the punk movement. This study does not include conclusions but discusses the ways and interactions in the punk movement related to anarchism as they aimed at an anarchist society. That attitude is still alive in many groups called anarcho-punks which continue their protests in São Paulo / A presente dissertação partiu de minhas inquietações vivenciadas na década de 1980.

This dissertation aims to study and understand the narratives and productions of meaning that involved the punk scene of the city of Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais, during the 1980s, through alternative publications produced by the groups themselves, the fanzines Alerta Punk e Aos Berros. The punk movement was born in the United States and England in the late 1970s, and quickly spread throughout the world. In the city of Juiz de Fora, the movement was consolidated among young people in the early 1980s, with the formation of bands and the production of fanzines, publications that aimed to express a content directed to the movement itself and allowed the punks to divulge their opinions, thoughts and ideologies, being a form of expression of this group. So, in the theoretical context of this research, the concepts of youth and tribes are addressed, using authors such as José Machado Pais (2003) and Michel Maffesoli (1998); the context of rock and the punk movement in Brazil and in the world, using Laurence Grossberg (1997), Paul Friedlander (2004), Antônio Bivar (1982), Marcelo Rubens Paiva (2016) and Janice Caiafa (1985); the analysis of alternative communication and the production of fanzines, based on the thoughts of Henrique Magalhães (2014), Chris Atton (2002), Claude Lévi-Strauss (2008) and Tiphaine Samoyault (2008). The research brings together interviews with former members of this movement, through the Methodology of Oral History, and Content Analysis, using the theoretical contribution of Laurence Bardin (2011), the fanzines Alerta Punk and Aos Berros, observing the content, the graphical composition and the intertextualities present in these publications.

[pt] O MOVIMENTO PUNK PAULISTA COMO SINTOMA E AGÊNCIA DE UMA CLASSE OPERÁRIA EM DESAGREGAÇÃO / [en] THE SÃO PAULO PUNK MOVEMENT AS A SYMPTON AND AGENCY OF A DESINTEGRATING WORKING CLASS

FILIPE PROENCA DE CARVALHO MORAES 06 January 2020 (has links)
[en] This text aims to discuss transformations in the world of work and the working class, especially during the capitalist world crisis of the 1970s and 1980s. Understanding the punk movement as an important element that can give us clues of this process within the culture. Our hypothesis is that this movement was both a symptom and an agent. A symptom of a disintegrating working class to the work of an urban precarious. However, this movement also establishes itself as an active agent, especially in what concerns the debate around an agency in relation to the discipline of capitalist labor. We will focus on the movement of the city of São Paulo and the ABC of São Paulo, as well as its relationship with the working class of São Paulo. To do so, we will use primary sources, through elements of oral history, interviewing participants of the São Paulo punk movement and ABC. We will also visit the archives about punk movement of CEDIC (Center of Scientific Documentation of PUC SP), containing fanzines, discs, correspondences, etc. We will also use, as a tool, the analysis of punk songs and poems of the period, having as important conceptual element the conceptions of agency and experience present in the work of the English historian Edward Palmer Thompson. Still as a theoretical contribution, we will use some productions of books and articles about punk in Brazil and in the world.
