Odposlech a záznam telekomunikačního provozu / Wiretapping and recording of telecommunication traffic

Frolková, Klára January 2016 (has links)
This thesis is devised as an analysis of the legal framework of the institutes of wiretapping and recording of telecommunication traffic, as well as the survey of the telecommunication traffic, which is included in the § 88 and § 88a of the act no. 141/1961 Coll., Criminal Procedure, as amended. The aim of this thesis was to analyze in detail the current and valid legal framework with respect to the protection of human rights and to point out the fact that the use of these institutes often finds itself on the threshold of considering the interference with the personal sphere of an individual to be justified/justifiable as well as the slight overstepping of such threshold by the public authorities, which I assume. The thesis is divided into four connecting chapters, not including the introduction and the conclusion. In the first chapter, which is divided into two sub-chapters, I address primarily the legal evolution of the examined institutes, as to when was the first time these institutes were incorporated into the valid legal framework and brought to life, their subsequent development and the most important amendments throughout the years. The second sub-chapter outlines the technical development from the not so distant past to the present, where I think about the evolution of technical...

Ochrana osobních údajů v procesu poskytování zdravotní péče / Protection of personal data in the course of rendering health care

Zeman, Marek January 2012 (has links)
Health care services is an area, in which is, with regard to specific nature of processed information, needed to pay special attention to personal data protection of patients. Act that used to regulate this kind of relations for more than 40 years was the Act on Care and Health of Nation. Taking into consideration its historic time of origin and paternalistic theory, on which it was based upon, and despite passage of Convention on Human Rights and Biomedicine meaning significant deviation from up to now paternalistic theory, this Act was not able stand under the Czech republic international obligations, principles of democratic legal state and last but not least rapid technological progress,. Therefore it was replaced by Medical Services Act, which is in full compliance with approach that sees relation between physician and patient as equal. One of cornerstones in area of personal data protection in health care services is concept of rule of secrecy, to which is obliged mainly provider of health care, but also other persons stated in the Act. Violation of rule of secrecy is punished. Threat of penal sancion for violation of rule of secrecy highlights the importance of protection of presonal data in health care area. Although under circumstances specified by the law is possible to unveil rule of...

Dendrochronological Dating Of Vernacular Folk Crafts In Northern Central Japan

Hoshino, Yasuharu, Okochi, Takayuki, Mitsutani, Takumi 12 1900 (has links)
We dated vernacular folk crafts (traditional snow shovels) made of beech wood (Fagus crenata Bl.) in north-central Japan. A raw chronology was constructed for the folk crafts, spanning the period from 1721 to 1953 (233 years). The raw chronology was crossdated using a reference chronology in central Japan. Eventually, tree-ring dates were confidently determined for 26 out of 44 samples. The final tree-ring dates of the folk crafts ranged between 1872 and 1953. We used oral folkloric records collected in a public survey for comparison and verification of our results. The time period of use of the folk crafts was supposed to range between the late Meiji Period and the beginning of the Pacific War (World War II), and the tree-ring dates were generally consistent with the date range. However, the final tree-ring dates were after the Pacific War for two youngest samples, showing better agreement with the historical change in industry of modern Japan. The tree-ring dates demonstrate the potential to describe the historical use of the artifacts more accurately than the folkloric records. In addition, the existing site chronology of Japanese beech has been better replicated using the folk craft samples. The chronology can possibly be further extended using archaeological wood from historical buildings.

Marketingový mix drum and bassového hudobneho vydavateľstva / The marketing mix of a drum and bass record label company

Kolomijcová, Bianka January 2010 (has links)
The main aim of this diploma thesis is to design the marketing mix of an alternative record label company that releases drum and bass music. In the theoretical part I try to describe the situation on the music market and outline how record labels work. I am specifying the tools of the marketing mix which are typical for a record label. In the practical part I'm pointing out the differences between the perception of mainstream and alternative music and I'm characterising the drum and bass scene. Based on this information I'm choosing the target audience and building the profile and the vision of my fictional

Electronic Health Record as an instrument to potentially optimize the work flow in small medical practices. / Electronic Health Records as an Instrument to Potentially Optimize the Work Flow in Small Medical Practices

Bannach, Anne-Kathleen January 2009 (has links)
This master thesis contributes to a growing body of literature analysing electronic health records (EHRs) and their importance to potentially optimization of the work flow in small medical practices. Additionally, general information about different health care systems is given, especially about the Canadian health care system. It gives a theoretical overview of information technologies used through health care providers. This thesis addresses the new technologies for communication and describes them. Problem: The "lack of clear channels of communication in patient transfer between care facilities leads to fragmentation in care." To prevent this, new communication channels need to be more effective in improving communication. Before trying to enhance communication channels used between care facilities, locally and nationally, the current focus needs to be on communication channels used within care facilities. This is of great importance especially for patients and other stakeholders who deem it as the most critical health care item. The slow implementation of EHRs in small medical practices makes it difficult to improve and evaluate performance and to ensure the confidence of patients in new technologies. On the other hand, the lack of implementation in this area has a negative effect on other health care providers, e.g. hospitals which already implemented the system. Through the existing gap the delivery of health care information is not complete possible and does not help to make the system safer for users. Research Question: The main goal is to obtain an understanding of individual physicians' attitudes and barriers to EHR. The thesis will show the advantages and obstacles as well as the pros and cons for small- and medium-sized practices to adopt EHRs. Result: It is not necessary anymore to discuss if EHRs should be implemented. It is more important to discuss how they should implement. The main problem for implementation is the financial barrier for small medical practices as well as personal attitudes connected with the age distribution of physicians and patients.

En processförbättring för ökad lagersaldosäkerhet / A Process improvement for improving inventoryrecord accuracy

Dalborg, Ida January 2019 (has links)
Companies can satisfy their customers and stakeholders, become competitive and develop their effectiveness through effective logistic. The customers do not only request the right product andquality but also delivery precision. For the industries to deliver in time it is essential to have raw material and components in time to produce the products that the customer request. A correct inventoryrecord makes it easier to see when ordering is required and makes it possible to implement automatic order system. Many companies though, are struggling with their record accuracy. A company thatcould benefit from improving their record accuracy is SweProd Graphics AB. This student thesis aims therefore to find possible solutions to improve the inventory record accuracy. The issues that are treated in this thesis are the following: How well does the actual stock balance match the reported inventory balance? How to improve the inventory record accuracy? Which are the possibilities with the new ERP that the company are planning to implement and how can they use it? The method to answer these questions are interviews, researches in Visma, inventories, benchmarking, process mapping and literature studies. The theories deal with the importance of correct stockbalance, how stocktaking can be simplified and followed up, different methods for inventory accounting and different material planning system. The result showed that there is a need of improving the inventory record accuracy. Today the inventoried quantity is both more and less than the reported inventory balance. Nine potential reasons areidentified, these are among delivery, outbound and stocktaking. The suggestions to improve the inventory record accuracy are to record the transactions at the start of an order, simplifying the stocktaking, keep statistics over stocktaking and establish reorder points and two bin system.

Assessing the quality of clinical occupational therapy records kept at schools for learners with special educational needs in the Western Cape

Rischmuller, Renee Antoinette 08 May 2009 (has links)
iv Abstract This research report compares what occupational therapists working at schools for learners with special educational needs (LSEN) think is important to record with what is recorded in the learners' occupational therapy files. Six clinical occupational therapists completed a questionnaire by grading items according to their level of importance in maintaining occupational therapy records. The researcher did an audit on 76 learners' occupational therapy files at four LSEN schools. The results indicated a vast discrepancy between what the occupational therapist viewed as important and what was actually recorded in the learners' files. The occupational therapists viewed most items as being very important to record (84.2%), yet the items were seldom recorded in the learners' files (33.3%). The researcher used the results to develop an adjusted checklist that could be used by occupational therapists at LSEN schools to audit their own records and as a guideline for record keeping.

When in Rome, Beijing or Brussels: Cultural Considerations of International Business Communication

Gunn-Graffy, Colin January 2007 (has links)
Thesis advisor: Donald Fishman / This thesis examines the role of culture in international business communication through case studies of several multinational corporations. The first case looks at Coca-Cola's product recall crisis in Belgium in 1999, which exhibited an uncharacteristic deviation from the company's well-known brand marketing brilliance. The second case deals with problems that Disney encountered as it tried to establish its first theme park in Europe in the 1990s and found itself facing a culture as proud and protective as Disney itself. At the heart of these cases were outdated international strategies and an attitude of arrogance that assumed that an American business approach could easily be transferred to a different country and culture. The thesis concludes with an analysis of Google as a case study for the future followed by suggestions for successful international strategies and final thoughts on globalization's effect on culture and corporations. / Thesis (BA) — Boston College, 2007. / Submitted to: Boston College. Estamos en este pais: Motivations for English Language Acquisition among Adult Latino ESOL Students

Fuller, Jessica January 2008 (has links)
Thesis advisor: Sarah Beckjord / This thesis examines the motivations for English language acquisition among Latino immigrants currently residing in the United States. By interviewing 34 adult students enrolled in ESOL classes in the Boston area, the author attempts to determine whether their desire for language acquisition is motivated by integrative or instrumental factors. These results are analyzed in light of the current debate on the assimilation of Latino immigrants, ultimately concluding that this segment of the population is indeed desirous of integration into the mainstream U.S. society. / Thesis (BA) — Boston College, 2008. / Submitted to: Boston College.
